Easy parking, not sure about security though nothing happened during my stay. Strong unpleasant odor as soon as I entered the building. Very run down and need of maintenance. Strong smell of a floor cleaner in many areas when the other bad odor was not obvious.

The room was clean, and we ate both lunch and dinner there. The burger was delicious but the Mexican food, tacos, quesadilla, and nachos were excellent.

It seemed the staff were not very happy. The lounge staffer was not friendly at all. As an older adult, I’m used to good helpful customer service. No eye contact or I don’t appreciate a simple “no.” When asking a question.
My husband and I are back next week, we will see if things are better.

I had to leave earlier because I couldn't get any sleep because of the party going on upstairs and the couple fighting next door . And the hotel didn't do anything about it at all
Whenever I checked in I asked the clerk to give me a room away from everyone because I had an early meeting in the morning.

While the lobby and interior was dated, the room was clean and updated and very comfortable. The WiFi was down due to the recent fires however the staff were friendly and able to check us in so it was quicker on our return.

This place was filthy, smelled horribly of cigarettes, beds were dingy, the swimming pool looked as if you would come out with an STD, as soon as we drove in to the parking lot we were greeted with an individual and her thong exposed so badly her whole rear was showing to the right of the front entrance and she seemed to be hired to paint something or maybe it was her own self created project. No security, people wandering around inside the premises looking to score a bag of dope! Overall this place is CREEPY. DIRTY and felt like an abandoned funeral home/meth lab!!!

Dirty, old, spiders, restaurant did not have any fruits at all for breakfast, outside the property looks abandoned, the wooden beams inside the lobby are beautiful but so dusty and with spider webs all over, our lake view room was a joke of view, not recommended at all. The only nice thing was the front desk lady good service, she was very kind.

Need to have the tub faucet and shower head for room 406 totally rebuilt. Leaky, and difficult to change to shower. Then get sprayed in the legs by the lever changing tub faucet to shower faucet because it seems broken.

Way overpriced for what you get!!! the room looked filthy. The carpet was totally stained. It just seemed really dirty. There was a party in the room next-door that started around 2:30 AM and never stopped. We got dressed and left around 6 AM because there was no sleeping at that point anyway.

Even though somehow our reservation for the first night for smoking room was somehow messed up, We still had an enjoyable time. We really liked the swimming pool and the hot tub. We really enjoyed the courtyard and the restaurant. We really appreciated the security and the parking convenience for my boat. We really like that everything was in close proximity, supermarket, the restaurant, gas stations and especially the boat launch dock and bait shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially the guy at the front desk named James. We really enjoyed being able to get Netflix and YouTube on the television. We will definitely stay there again and recommended to our friends and family.

Had to move my car bc one construction truck parked @ 1 foot from my drivers' door, that when I noticed a delivery being made, and I am not talking \"food' but \"go-go\". Room was nice and staff friendly.

This hotel is really the tale of two properties. There are aspects which are awesome, and then others that are disappointing.

The hotel is old but it has had some obvious renovations that make this place feel like a Time Capsule, like a step back in time when hotels were about the experience not just a place to lay your head. The interior atrium is gorgeous and warm. It is a huge open area, lit with warm glowing amber lights, a fountain gurgles in the center area, and all around are common seating areas to enjoy with fellow travelers. The cantina is relaxed and serves decent cocktails. The staff is wonderfully helpful, and their help really adds to the experience.

The room… this is a non-smoking establishment but the two rooms I was shown both stunk of recently smoked cigarettes. So much so I ensured that the odors were documented prior to me moving my things into the room. The aircon worked fine, but the plumbing was annoying. All through the night, there was a loud and slightly disconcerting sound emanating from the water pipes. Like a large mass of air was moving around in them.

Outside was a mess. The parking lot was filled with muddy pickups from either a mine or oul&gas project. The big chunks of mud occupied every parking spot. Unrelated were the dog owners allowing their mutts to run unleashed.

Minus the parking lot and plumbing it was okay. Wouldn’t stay again.

This place way overcharges and is running outdated everything. Avoid this area in general tons of crackheads and police activity. Tons of noise through paper thin windows can hear people talking in parking lot at any time. Not to mention traffic noise. Outdated furniture and amenities from 1980. Holes in the bath area and plugs that are unscrewed and sitting beside it. Poor water pressure in many rooms toilets barely flush. Trash left behind chairs and visible grime on tables/surfaces. Stay elsewhere for less money for better facility. This hotel should be half the price it charges you can stay at WorldMark, Hampton Inn, the Hilton Marriott and Westin for cheaper than this pile of junk.

Not my 1st Choice in Clearlake

Check in was easy. My room was right off the elevator but the bedroom is back far enough that it wasn't noisy. The noise came from the street traffic (very noticeable). Room was large with a \"living room\" with couch that had pull out bed, a sink area with microwave and refrigerator, and separate bedroom. Bathroom shower had hair in it and the floor is in poor condition. There is a large patch on the ceiling in the bedroom and the carpet looks like it's about 30 years old. It's right across the street from a grocery store and restaurant. I wouldn't walk around here at night. The choices are slim in Clearlake so it's an adequate hotel. I prefer the Clearlake Cottages which are right on the water and further away from street traffic.

Very dated, outside is SCARY! It needs to be gated people that are obviously on drugs were everywhere in the parking lot. We literally watched a car get stolen, the cops were called and they didn't even do anything the drove right by the Thebes sitting in the car and NEVER drove back by.

Asked for a late check out and was told flat out NO! I asked why and was told that the maid had to clean and there were other customers checking. Working in the hospitality industry 1 room for 1 hour wasn’t going to set the hotel back that much. The maids could have cleaned the room after lunch.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Clear Lake. Our first impression was wow! The hotel was beautiful from the inside and had additional amenities that we were not expecting. The pool table was a highlight for me. The staff was friendly and answered some local questions that i had. Cleaning personnel helped us out and everyone was professional. We will be booking at this location again when we are in the area.

I liked the location. We stayed on the fourth floor and there were lots of pigeons around. The receptionist said they didn’t have any cribs when we checked in, which was disappointing. They also didn’t have complimentary breakfast, only free coffee which was 1 out of 5. The tv had lots of channels, which was great.

There aren't very many hotel choices in Clearlake so I tried this one (I have stayed here before). This hotel is old and outdated but the room was good size with a
\"living room\" and separate bedroom. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure was low though so I had to really hold the handle down to get the toilet to flush and the shower took longer due to the low pressure. Staff was very nice and helped me change rooms as the 1st room had a very strong smell. The restaurant was open but I didn't venture in to see what they offered - I just walked across the street to the Foods, Etc. grocery store to get food. The area is walkable - it's on the main street so I could hear the street noise from my room; but there are sidewalks and crosswalks. I didn't go out at night so no info on safety of the area at night. I would probably choose to stay at the Cottages next time as they are on the lake and individual cottages.

I paid 18% more with Hotels.com than the hotel

Hotels.com charged me 18% more than the receipt from the hotel. After over an hour over the phone with Hotels.com representative, she told me it is the way Hotels.com does business. So upset with hotels.com... No more business.
