We have just spent 2 nights at this hotel. The staff picked up our bags from the taxi and carried them to our room. Check-in was a breeze. Room was very spacious. I liked the fact that it had 2 wash basins and separate toilet and shower. There was a bluetooth speaker which you can connect to your phone to play music. The best thing was breakfast. Freshly squeezed orange juice, baked beans, selection of breads, vegetables, eggs and a variety of cakes and nuts along with most delicious greek yoghurt. We also used sauna but you have to pre-book it as it is just enough for 4-6 people. Special mention for Dora who was amazing, very soft spoken, always smiling and answered all our queries from bus timetables to taxis and local clubs and restaurants.

Excellent hotel with friendly lobby staff. The premises were super clean and so were the hotel rooms. The hotel is a great location conveniently located right next to the water. Their Lemonade in the front lobby was super fresh and refreshing. The hotel staff are friendly and professional.
The hotel is adjacent to other Petinos hotels and a restaurant as well. All of this is right next to the water with beach access and some great views. The restaurant manager at the front was super friendly and accommodative. The morning breakfast is inside the hotel which was very good with a good collection of fruits, breads and other great items.

Parking is a bit tricky as you cannot park in front of the hotel but there is paid parking next to the hotel. You can also park infront of the houses at your own risk. The restaurant also has a pizza counter for take out and the chef Spanos is a nice gentlemen and a great pizza chef. We tried the Margharita Pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I have tried in my entire trip in Greece.

Buffett breakfast with a water view!

You can't beat the view...this hotel is right on the water with an amazing buffet breakfast. The room was great with two beds for my teenage kids and two showers. The property is gorgeous. The air does not get as cold, as some other hotels but it's plenty cool. They are not flexible with the check in and check out times and do not have their own chairs on the beach, so you have to pay to rent them from one of the other hotels...but we had no issues.

Service in this hotel is none existent, it’s understaffed and I would say the staff that are there are poorly treated as most are moody.
People playing their own speakers by the pool (often at the same time) with no staff asking them to switch it off.

The stay here was great. Nice private pool area for guest and our room for 3 actually had 4 beds and was extremely roomy and comfortable. Close to beach and good restaurants nearby. Drinks at pool area were expensive but very good service. Not as close to night life as we would have liked but still had a great stay.

We booked a family room, description stated adjacent property. There are at least 3 other properties in between main Petinos Hotel and their adjacent property that is located about 200 meters inland. We ended up paying extra to get a family room at main property. Vibe from staff feels very unhappy and miserable, most look and talk like they hate working there and simply don’t care about any basic guest needs. We stayed 4 nights at next door Acrogiali beach hotel and then 2 nights at Petinos. No comparison between the two in terms of how welcome they make you feel as a guest.

Rude reception staff upon arrival, then shown to room (the family suite) to find a large piece of broken glass in the patio doorway as well as finding the room in poor state (very mouldy bathroom window, damage to most walls). Upon finding glass, tried to call reception on the room phone, only for them to hang up... Went to reception to report the broken glass, only to be shunned away after they asked for housekeeping to attend the room and reclean. No offer of a sorry or compensation for the hazardous item found within 30secs of being inside the room, which could have injured my two young children. If room was maintained and the reception staff weren't rude then review would be different as has potential to be good, however on our stay it was poor.

And without being picky, the pool edge displayed mould all around the edge, visible when in the pool.

We had a great family vacation at the Hotel Petinos. The hotel restaurant Blue Myth was excellent. We went to the Greek dinner as well as having breakfast there and another dinner. The staff was excellent. The food was all delicious. The hotel is also centrally located on a great beach and walking distance from other beaches and the beach clubs. Overall a fantastic hotel!

Was on Mykonos for a wedding. Hotel Petinos was incredibly accommodating! Shuttle service, breakfast, front desk staff were all amazing! Highly recommend! If have the option, definitely choose room in main hotel over adj. apartments - better location, quality, ease. Staff was incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind. Great pool. Great location to beach. Easy spot to get elsewhere on the island - bus stop right outside. Clean. Comfortable. Amazing stay!

Posh, quiet, clean, new fixtures, the lobby is elegantly scented, the pool looks classy- nicely located away from Little Venice and the windmills- has its own backyard beach.
Has airport and port (ferry) transfer services, and other transport means are conveniently available such as the front desk arranges your taxi if they cannot transfer you anywhere in the town proper, and the public bus stop (which is a tourist bus) is in front of the hotel. Breakfast buffet is superb, which freshly squeezed orange juice!
Special mention to Christina who is a very capable multitasker front desk staff member- more power!

It was a nice, clean, modern-ish property. The rooms were clean, big with great amenities. I loved that we had a shuttle to the airport, but didn't love that they didn't transport us back to the airport because of our early flight (I think someone should be available at all times or at least pre-booked if guests provide notice of transportation times). The buffet was good, nice to not have to think about breakfast. Service both days was slow and we had to repeatedly ask for a cappuccino (everything else is self serve). Perhaps it's because many people don't tip, but the service should still be excellent as you cannot assume people will not tip (for example, we did and our service wasn't great). I didn't really feel special or any different even though they knew it was our honeymoon. The first night there was a very drunk guest (or maybe it was just outside of the resort, but she basically sounded like she was outside of our room). She was screaming and yelling for what felt like hours and disrupted our sleep - we basically lost a night there even after a long day travelling in. All in all, nice hotel. Service/customer service can be better but not awful! Just expected a little bit more for the price. Would go back again knowing not to have such high expectations and if I found a good deal on the rooms.

My room had clear signs of not being fully cleaned from previous guest (I’ve found hair in some places like the bed and sheets weren’t clean). Staff was not very useful. I had to insist a few times for them to call me a taxi (they insisted I should get the buss and wait half hour under very high heat with two suitcases). The rooms at the lower level like mine get noisy because of guests on the floor above, also the near you are to the restaurant, the worse. My shower area would get completely flooded for hours after every shower. Breakfast is “ok”. The beach near the property has many options for sunbeds and umbrellas for around €30/person. Restaurant options are good as well.

We booked the hotel through Expedia, according to the displayed pictures they had. When we got to the hotel they escorted us to a different apartment location that looked like a hotel from the horror movie, with a ground view. We were told we have to walk 200 meters for breakfast and pool. The even worse part was the way the staff handled our complaint. It was the worst service I ever came across. If you go to Mykonos stay away from this hotel it is a scam!

Very disappointed in Hotel Petinos Mykonos

The air conditioner in my room was not working. I had to argue with 3 people throughout the day about it. The room smelled of Freon when the AC was running. It was horrible.
Finally at 7pm I asked for another room, they said they were fully booked.
Yet I could still book a room there on the hotels.com website.
I asked for a refund and they scrambled to find me a room. They sent a technician to look at my AC who was just a kid and admitted he knows nothing about AC units. They gave me an old room next to mine where the AC was working.
I just wanted to go to another hotel.
They put me in a room off site that was old, probably from the 1970’s. It was not what they pictured on their site, it had an antique kitchenette.
Please make sure what is posted is divulged to the paying guest if it is not what is pictured.

Great hotel

This hotel is right on the beach and it is a beautiful hotel. They gave a free shuttle to and from the port which they were kind enough to email us the information. We had four people in our group and tge room had a queen size bed and three twin beds which were extremely comfortable. The bus stop was just outside of the hotel which was very convenient as well. The free breakfast was outstanding as well as the location. Loved everything about this hotel.

This hotel was great for communicating before I got there. Quick to answer all my questions. Easy to arrange a transfer to and from the hotel from the ferry port. I was in one of the little separate apartments up the street, but it was a nice clean room. Great location by a nice beach and nice restaurants. Mykonos can be tricky to get around (walking on the roads is nuts), but I walked to and from the Tropicana beach club. It’s actually a nice walk along the water and some of the bars. Overall good stay.

Our room was for three but the third bed was a small child cot pushed into a corner and not suitable for my adult son.the room and bathroom was very small, but the rest of the hotel was lovely. We only stated one night and it was a great place to start the Mykonos trip, as it’s really on one of, if not the best beach.

Lovely hotel/nice amenities - beware room location

Hotel Petinos is in a lovely location on Mykonos. It has two very good restaurants and the pools are very nice and clean (water is chilly - no pool heaters in Greece!). The restaurants have beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. The water taxi to all the beaches is near the restaurants. Beware of what you see online regarding room location. We were put in the \"apartments\" which was no where near the beach or pools - we had about a 7 minute walk to get to the hotel's amenities, which isn't bad unless you have mobility issues, which one person in my party did. There was a 45 degree incline to walk up to get to the road - shared with cars, ATVs, scooters, etc., to get to the restaurants, beach and water taxis. Hotel Petinos does not have its own beach chairs - you have to rent them for the property next door (it was easy enough to do). The apartments were in a quieter part which was nice, but they don't offer any real views. They have refrigerators and dishware. The bedding is very comfortable.

Be careful booking this hotel as the room types list together but the properties are not the same. The apartments are off the main property and old with fair upkeep. The kitchenette is terrible and no good stores nearby. Really no point to having it. The bus to town is easy. The transfers were good. The scheduling is set and many times results in waits for evening buses. They come every half hour. The beach is fine but not super.
Lunch at the restaurant was fair but not great.
The pool was small but nice. Rooms in the main hotel were variable but better.
Staff was ok but not terribly helpful/friendly.
There are many nicer locations on the island to stay.
Overall, the hotel is ok by a beach that is ok.

Lovely pool with bean bags as sunbeds - v comfy. But imagine it gets very crowded and difficult to get a spot in high season. There were just enough bean bags and space when we were there. It got a bit noisy and crowded when a large middle-aged American tour group arrived. Waiter service to the pool by pressing a buzzer on the bedside tables.

Rooms are lovely, simple, clean and with plenty of storage space. We were in a supreme family suite (four women sharing) and it worked well for us. The room was on the street side and it was a bit noisy with the windows open at night but with the windows shut it was well sound proofed (and later in the season you'd want to use aircon). Family room had large double bed and two singles in a cave-like room on the side - would be perfect for kids.

Breakfast was a good buffet. Fresh squeezed OJ, fruit (tinned), cheese, meats, various breads, pastries, yoghurt, pancakes etc. The usual you would expect and if you're lucky to get an outside table, lovely views across the beach and the bay. Lunch/evening food is good too with all the usuals.

Hotel is right by the stop for buses to Mykonos town (about 10 mins away). They go approx every 30 mins and Platys Yialos is the end of the line. So, no need for taxis.

The beach is lovely and there are some good (but expensive) restaurants and bars with sunbeds that run along it. For more authentic and reasonably priced taverna, walk along the coast towards Skorpios to Nikalos Taverna -
delish.

We really enjoyed stating at Petinos. The pool area was our favorite spot. Check in and check out was easy and appreciated the designated area to change and shower when we no longer had our room after check out.

We had a slight problem with the phone system - it kept ringing in our room at night. The issue was fixed the next day. The shower wasn’t throughly cleaned - we found lots of black long hair and a clogged drained.

I have stayed at this property on several occasions in the last ten years and it never fails to impress me. The location of the hotel is perfect. There is constant improvement at the property. Many of the bedrooms have been renovated and we stayed in one of those and you could smell the newness of everything in the room.
The room was lovely and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the daily housekeeping was excellent.
The food in the hotel restaurant 'Blue Myth' is exceptional. The best food we had during our weeks stay was in here. The buffet breakfast in the morning is an excellent start to the day.
All of the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and the cocktails made by Nikos the barman are out of this world.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and I am already looking forward to my next stay here!

Fantastic hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The owner and his wife were great and very approachable. Some rooms have recently been refurbished and are top quality.
The location of the hotel is perfect for airport/beach and travel to Mykonos town. Special mention for the barman Nicos who was great company and Elena who was always striving to make your hotel experience better 10/10

The rooms were beautiful with good views. The hotel had a private pool and direct access to the beach. The bus stopped in front of the hotel for easy access to downtown.

The property had good amenities and allowed access to the facilities of it's sister hotel directly across the Street. There was always a large variety at breakfast along with a fresh orange juicing machine.
I did not like that the walls were clearly very thin at this property. Every night we could hear other guests along with their Televisions as these were placed directly above our headboard behind the wall in the room next to us.

A beautiful hotel. Slightly pre season when we went but a lovely area to explore or just chill at the poolside area which is one of the nicest pools I've ever been to. Just slightly on the cold side for me to get in but others did brave it. Breakfast was incredible so much choice and staff very friendly. We were sorry to leave.

You can use the facilities of both Petinos hotels which is very convenient and the breakfast is quite good too.

The staff is friendly and goes out of there way to make sure you are happy as there guest. Great location right on the beach. The restaurant sits directly on the water, the staff is very attentive. The owner sitting in the restaurant from 9am and I still saw him there at 9pm when I was finishing dinner. Good strong management.

I would reccomand and I would stay here again!

Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice pool. Very good breakfast (real orange juice - not from concentrate). I found the walls between rooms a bit thin. I could hear family and their crying baby quite a lot next door. Reception offered to find another room next day but I was only staying a few days and couldn't be bothered to repack/unpack. Overall I would stay again but I would be more careful about choice of room.

Beautiful quiet beachfront location. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. My only complaint is the room had tea kettles in it but no complimentary tea or coffee for the morning. We were told we had to purchase it at the small convenience store next door and only received one bottle of water each for a multiple day stay.

The hotel lobby and shared areas were pretty and in good condition. Our room was not nice. Broken closet slats. Cheap fixtures and furnishings. You had to climb up into the bathtub and climb down out of it. Why not just leave the bathtub on the floor instead of raising it up? Or put a step there? Overall, it was cheap looking and feeling. I wouldn’t stay there again.
