I have been coming back to this hotel the past five years every time I visit Cairo alone or with my family. Simply I feel at home. The entire staff are so friendly, so helpful and more than eager to make me comfortable. The rate is reasonable.Therefore I strongly recommend it with no hesitation.

The staff are the most helpful ever, my dad fell and had to get physiotherapy on his last 2 weeks of the trip! They helped my mom with my dad and got them food and drinks in the room! Made sure they didn’t need anything!
If i ever go back, i will definitely stay in cleopatra hotel!

The staff are amazing and helped us a lot! My parents are also in the same hotel, they were a great help when my dad fell and we got him admitted to the hospital… they’re so helpful and making sure everything is available for my dad to recover faster!
Breakfast food is so delicious! If i didn’t have to go back for work or my daughter’s school, i would have extended our stay longer!
We will definitely be coming back!

Mostly enjoyed this stay. It was January so the room was a bit cold. the hotel only has cooling, not heating. smoking is allowed inside the lobby, but that's many places. breakfast was very very good. area was safe and walkable.

the street noise is a thing, but quiets after about 11pm.

The hotel situited in thw busy downtown with traffic noises all day and night.After midnight when the traffic noise slightly calm down, it was stray dogs barking all night . If you want a sound sleep, stay away from this hotel.The hotel room looks very tired, old furniture, old duvet and very old duvet cover which does not fit the duvet . The shower room design was very bad the water could not drain in properly and left the shower room flood after ever use. Breakfast was very boring and very mean. The hotel lobby area was very smelly with smoke. The receptioistsand staff are ok , but not particularly friendly at all. Overall , the whole hotel room needs upgrading . It is not 3 star. Best at 2 star. I will never cone back to stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent, which was a major plus. However, the hotel itself feels outdated, and the area can be quite noisy, which impacted our stay. Additionally, the lack of alcoholic beverages available on the property was a disappointment. Great location at a great price with friendly, helpful staff. It is right in the heart of downtown so, if you can't sleep with horns honking, you should bring ear plugs. The noise did not bother me.

This property is overpriced. Several 4 and five star hotels are only $20 to $40 more per night in the same area.
Half the staff doesn’t speak English and always looking for tips including the security guards at the front door pretending to ask questions to protect tourist.
The rooms are very large but need to be remodeled.
We were a total of 8 people and we all have the same feedback.

Dated (1970's decor - everything works!) near the centre of Cairo; 2 mins walk from the Egyptian Museum/ Metro.
Friendly staff and close to several tour operators who will take you on day trips - if required.
No evening meal in the restaurant - though coffee house on site, and several restaurant's nearby

Furniture is outdated and in need of repair, a male at the reception area is very unhelpful gives the wrong information, The elevator on the 10th floor down button does not work prepare to wait at least five minutes to go down.

This hotel is quite central to many attractions and dining options. Most places are within a 15 min radius. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. We started only one night so can’t comment on the housekeeping. The breakfast was not great but good.

The only reason I gave this hotel a three star is the false advertisement on the hotel main image. I booked it thinking I’ll be able to see the Nile river. When I showed the photo on the site, they said I can see this from many rooftops in the city but not this hotel. That was a disappointment.

Very convenient location, close to all major attractions, very nice staff. One day we had to go on a trip very early before restaurant was open and we asked them if they could give us some food because everything was still closed around and they gave us plenty to eat
Unfortunately conditions of the hotel is so so, beds are not comfortable, some furniture is broken and a/c didn’t work properly. Also bathroom has black mold on the sealing

Close to museum. Nice hotel with nice breakfast included. Dinner price is also reasonable. Room is very roomy and comfortable. However they did not have cloth hangers in the room. It took us several times to request and finally someone brought us just three. Also street noise at night can be troublesome for some people.

Location is perfect for sightseeing, ATMs are 400 feet away (cheaper than the airport), room was clean and wonderful, bed was very comfortable, A/C was cold, staff were very friendly, and the breakfast had a wide selection. I most definitely staying there when I return to Cairo next year.

And there is a convenience store open 24/7 within 500 feet.

Most tour companies will pick you up from this hotel.

The Hotel was ok. I was led to belive when booking this hotel that there was free Wi-Fi. The WiFi is only available at the reception area and is very slow and at times unavailable. Luckily I purchased a local SIM card at the airport which sufficed but again that fluctuated between 3G and 4G the best I got was 1.8 mbs

Location is best part of hotel - the hotel itself is dated but the rooms were large and clean with decent A/C. No bar in the hotel but there are plenty of bars across the road in other hotels

Great lokation but there wes mold,a lot of mold in the bathrooms. We chanhed rooms three times and noticed the same problem in every one of them .When we arrived there my bed looked like someone was sleeping there and they did not change the sheets.And also do not expect friendly staf in the hotel restaurant ,they need some training. Front desk was friendly so the dorman.The bigest isue was dirty showers .

It was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, can’t complain. 2 things did bother me - there was a fly in our bedroom that bugged the hell out of us; the shower door was broken and it was a challenge to open and close it.

The hotel is centrally located right next to Tahir Square and the old national museum. The services was pretty good too. But air conditioning was not adjustable, either full blast or off.
The beds were pretty comfortable, and the laundry service was great. The morning breakfast was descent and the cafe was good as well. It was great that there was ice cream, dessert, and food restaurant attached to the hotel too.
All in all, I would return to the Cleopatra again.
The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport, and they can arrange transportation for 15.00 US. The drivers cannot go into the airport though. Just an FYI, the drivers will be waiting across the arrival pick up zone for international flights.

Few things in cleaning could help with stay, there was no hot hot water, but management took care of this immediately, also small bugs in the bathroom, water leaks inside the bathroom ceiling, but overall nice stay

This hotel’s cleanliness standards are not what they should be. My bathroom was not clean, as the toilet had disgusting hairs and and so did the floor. No towels, I asked for some at reception and I was given just one. The sheets covers had cigarette burns on them. If you are a light sleeper, this is not an option for you as the windows are not double glazed and the permanent car’s beeping will go straight into your room for most of the evening. The only good feature about his hotel is its location, besides that it has been disappointing and definitely not good value for money.

I got rapped from the security guard. Two of them and since day 1 they pushed me over over daily to get money which I have not and it was so uncomfortable until I got stolen with the last money I had 2000 Egyption from the security guys out of hotel . Mangers covered them up and kicked me out of hotel saying there was no availability when I booked through Expedia. I just want my money and fair back

The Cleopatra hotel is an excellent place to stay in Cairo. The location is in the city center. Very close to the Egyptian Museum and a short drive to the bazaar. My room was clean, cool, and the wifi was decent. There’s a really cute coffee shop
Connected to the hotel and the feee breakfast is delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here but be aware that it does get loud from the street noise. Try to stay on a high level floor.

The location of the property is great - museum and liver is close by. One of the famous museum is just across the hotel. River can be reached in 10 minutes by walking. Room was good but shower was extremely bad - it leaked every time - we had to put couple of towels. All they have to do is to make another drain opening outside shower or fix door so that water does not leak.

The Cleopatra is located on Tahrir Square. Traffic there has increased dramatically and Egyptian drivers beep their horns constantly. It’s almost an art form.Rooms near the street( like mine) and the lobby are subject to a loud cacaphony of this noise which reaches a crescendo at rush hour and doesn’t really die down until after the evening prayer time around 7 pm. It’s horrible!! Also airborne dirt from the street comes into the lobby and Egyptians still smoke a lot.A great new cafe, La Poire, not affiliated with the hotel has opened up next to it which is a plus. The hotel breakfast is minimal and heavy on carbs.Great if your idea of a great start to the day is a stale chocolate donut.Absolutely terrible coffee. Access to the Nile Ritz Carlton
across the square, which could be used as an annex, for it’s lobby and bar is no longer a realistic option because that entrance has been walled off since the riots in the Square.
Reception staff are not pleasant. Mattresses in the room, at least mine are poor. Liked the shower tho. Price is the only plus.

Our bathroom had a leak. Water was all over the floor we complained and apparently the problem was solved but it continued throughout the other days.
The door lock got broken and we could not get into our room then we got changed to this room that had a bathroom leak
They forgot to leave bath towels
We would not recommend this hotel to friends or stay again

Pros / I got a suite instead of my room in the eleventh floor .
Cons/ very dirty carpets, no toilet paper l had to ask twice to get one , no hot water for two days, I stayed in the floor number 11 and the noise and cars horns still easy to be heard if you’re not a heavy sleeper stay away.

Location is good, easy to walk to many area locations, and suite had view overlooking the Nile and the Egyptian Museum. Because of location, it is LOUD. My boyfriend could not sleep even with earplugs; I was fine. Staff was helpful, and they accommodated a late check out and offered free luggage storage. Breakfast was adequate, good variety of foods, but had to ask for things to be refilled, and server tried to leave the previous person’s knife for me to use (he did give me a clean one when I asked). All in all, I would stay again.
