Yes room was very clean against the bad reviews for all hotels of Cairo , staff is courteous and very helpful.

Location is excellent , right on the Main Street in front of Tahrir square , walkable from everywhere and go bus terminal is just 5 mins walk if you want to get to or from other cities.

In short a great place if you love to explore the city on feet and be close to all cafés and downtown.

I truly do not understand how or why this place has so many positive reviews. The condition of this property is deplorable. The bathtub literally had a hole straight through the middle. Everything in the room was extremely old, worn out, and poorly maintained.

The windows would not close properly and were painted over the glass, so the entire night we could smell exhaust from outside, and the noise level was unbearable, it felt like sleeping under a bridge.

It became very clear that this is not really a hotel, but rather a few rooms rented on one floor of a public building that houses several other businesses, there was trash in the hallway and the staff bathroom was simply disgusting. It seems the owner just added a few coats of paint and called it a day, without addressing any real issues.

The only positive thing was the staff, the customer service was genuinely helpful and kind, and they did their best given the situation. That is the sole reason this place gets one star.

We ran after one night that we didn’t get to sleep just waited for daytime .
Run. Don’t walk.

Let me start by saying that the hotel staff were extremely helpful, and I have no complaints about them at all. They genuinely seemed to do everything they could to make my stay better.

That said, the hotel itself is located in a very busy area, and the rooms are extremely noisy—truly unbearable at times. In addition, the condition of the property is quite poor. No offense to the management, but the building overall appears to be in bad shape.

On the positive side, the location is very central and the price is quite cheap. Because of this, I feel somewhat conflicted about complaining since I paid relatively little. However, I wanted to share an honest review to set realistic expectations for future guests

We were lucky enough to stay at this amazing location during our 3 days in Cairo. We checked in and immediately felt welcome by Marcelino at the front desk who went above and beyond (helped us navigate the taxis, gave us recommendations of what to do in the city, offered to help us with day to day planning and booking, and so much more) to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The room was incredible, the staff were outstanding and overall there wasn’t anything more we could have asked for. I highly recommend this location and again want to thank Marcelino for being so amazing while we were there!

Very nice hotel in a central area of Cairo. Would recommend. Very nice staff. Good value hotel for those looking to be in the centre of the action in Cairo. Other reviews mentioned the state of the overall building is poor but I thought that this was fine (and the hotel itself is very nice). Other reviews mentioned noise and if you are a light-sleeper this may be an issue. However, ear-plugs are provided by the hotel but I did not need these - the noise did not bother me. However, if you are noise sensitive, this is probably not the best hotel for you. However, I would definitely go back again - it is a great location, our room had a lovely balcony, staff are friendly and it is good value.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. But people should be aware that this room is facing the streets and there will be literally nonstop. Horn honking all night long. It is extremely noisy. Also, this is not your regular hotel. There is no lobby per se. They basically have rented a floor in a regular building and turned it into a hotel of sorts. Despite that it was a pleasant stay for us again the staff was very helpful and very nice and very budget friendly.

Amazing rooms that are beyond beautiful. Huge rooms in the heart of Cairo, truly a hidden gem by definition, very unassuming. The staff went above and beyond and were super helpful. I only wished we had organized more through them with the time we had in Cairo. It was by far our favorite hotel stay on our honeymoon and travels over the last two months. Marcelino the manager was exceptionally excellent. So passionate, invested in helping us and our overall experience I thought he must own the place. I can't thank him enough for our amazing experience. We will definitely be back and request our same room. It was so beautiful and made our whole experience. I can't wait to return. Thank you again.

I had a most enjoyable stay at this hotel. It is in a magnificent location - just across from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, close to the Nile and Down Town. The room I had was lovely - with a small balcony overlooking the museum. It can be a little noisy from the traffic outside, but this didn't bother me. The staff were great, from reception to cleaning, and I look forward to staying there again on my return to Cairo.

Conveniently located near Tahrir square and across the street of the Egyptian museum. It was very easy to walk around the area, and the rooms were in good shape and were pretty nice looking.
The staff was helpful, although English was a bit of a challenge at times. I would note the entrance to the hotel is a bit tricky, as most drivers didn't know where it was. In addition, it is on the third floor of what looked like an older building, and the elevator was not obvious to find.
Overall, it was a good stay for the time in Cairo, and the room was nice. But beyond the breakfast, expect just the room and help from the front desk.

We recently stayed at this hotel in Egypt and had a mixed experience. The rooms are well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. However, the constant noise from the nearby road was a significant drawback, especially for light sleepers. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always eager to help. While the road noise is something to consider, especially if you’re a light sleeper, the excellent service provided by the staff was a highlight of our visit.

The rooms are located in a two-hundred year old building that cannot be altered by government decree. The entry area is disconcerting, and at first I was not sure I was in the right place - it is old and industrial.There is a lift that requires a fob so be prepared to lug your bag up at least three flights of stairs to reception until you get your key. Once there, your hosts will help with everything - they are warm and delightful. Each room is unique and has comfortable bed, nice linens, tv, refrigerator, bottled water, kettle, bathroom with shower. The rooms face a busy intersection and due to the restrictions on modification, new glass cannot be put in. Your host will give you earplugs or bring your own. I stayed four nights and was used to the traffic by day two.

Breakfast option is available for a very reasonable cost. Brought warm to your room. A surprising addition.

The location is perfect for the Egyptian Museum and the American University. Uber is very inexpensive but remember license plates are in Arabic numerals, so be sure you get in the correct car.

I was there in January but the place was super busy with visitors from all around the world. This was a very nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

We had an excellent stay at the Tahrir Plaza Suites. The positives: 1) The location is great, lots of sights are walkable and it's close to the Subway plus loads of restaurants in the area. 2) The staff were really helpful and kind. 3) The room was clean and had everything we needed.

The less good bits: 1) There is pretty constant traffic noise for those rooms nearest the road so we needed earplugs in the evening (no big deal for 4 nights), 2) The hotel is on the 3rd floor (there is a lift) but first appearances the entrance and 2nd floor look run down but bear with it, hotel is perfectly fine.

I would recommend taking the hotel taxi from the airport to the hotel so you're not searching around for the hotel when you arrive. It's approx double an uber but honestly its worth it. You can alway get an uber back to the Airport when you depart.

We stayed here for one night in Jan 2025 before our flight back home. From outside, it's difficult to guess that it's a hotel. There is a small signboard, and the entrance to the building and taking the elevator to the lobby on the second floor makes you question your life choices. Once you're in the lobby, you do finally feel like it's a hotel you booked. It's a boutique hotel with brightly painted walls, antique furniture, and rooms that are named after ancient Egyptian Gods, which is a nice touch.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Our bed was comfortable, but the extra bed in the room was almost falling apart with a bend in the middle. The bathroom is huge with a large bathtub. Hot water in the wash basin kept going hot by itself, and I burned myself twice with scalding hot water. It takes a bit of figuring out and being careful.

We were in the Amun Ra room, and traffic noise was so much that it felt like you're sitting on the street. You can hear the cars and honking all-night-long! I am a light sleeper and had to use my noise canceling headphones just to be able to sleep at night. For this reason alone, I would not want to stay here again or be able to recommend the hotel. They really need to work on soundproofing the room. The other issue with the hotel room was mosquitoes. We got bitten multiple times and our neck, face, and arms were covered with mosquito bites.

Hotel is minutes away from the Egyptian Museum, and that made it convenient to visit.

I can't believe we got to stay here! Wow! The staff were just amazing, really friendly and helpful. The room itself was so cosy, loads of space, really well decorated and had shampoo and body wash in the bathroom.

The breakfast... so delicious and a bargain!

Located right across from the museum, the area is safe and exciting. There is no sign at street level but the building that is marked on google maps and go to the third floor snd its easy signposted.

You can hear the cars of course, but it all adds charm and character to being in cairo.

I was staying zamalek the first 2 days in cairo and i needed a cheaper hotel that was a little closer to the airport so I picked this one. First of all. The staff was excellent we had a very friendly conversation about my time in egypt and they gave me fresh juice and a water bottle. There were 3 people working a younger guy, a taller guy with glasses and woman (i think her name started with z) i wish I remembered their names so i can shout them out for awesome service. Now the room was just..... okay. I stayed in the amun rah suite. It looker like it had a hot tub in it but the bottom had a crack. The bedding was dusty and a lot of the furniture including the coffee pot was old. The tv also didnt work. All that being said i paid maybe 35 bucks usd for it. It was kinda of in a sketchy area that was extremely loud with cars honking and shouting. It was also really hard to find. 3rd floor of some apartment and office building. But for that price i say stay here if you you're gonna be out and about all day and just need a bed to sleep in and some friendly faces to be around. You get what you pay for and the front desk had ear plugs for the noise as well as a simple breakfast

This is a lovely boutique hotel taking up a few high floors in a large building right opposite the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Each room is named after a different Egyptian God. Friendly staff, beautifully decorated rooms, and fantastic location. Downsides were that I paid $20 for early check-in (which seems pretty pricey), my room (Bastet) had a sewage smell so might have a drain problem, and the lift doors are very difficult to open and close.

This was a lovely place to stay for my holiday in Cairo. I was on the 4th floor which was accessible by lift. I loved the rooms themed for Egyptian Gods which gave it extra character. The room was lovely and spacious, with good air conditioning, WiFi, fridge, good shower and very comfortable bed. The staff were so helpful with advice and helping to organise our days in Cairo. We could request breakfast (for a small fee) and housekeeping (free) each day as required. The area is noisy but safe and busy, with great links from Sadat. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

It was absolutely amazing. Much nicer than we ever expected. It was so clean and pretty but most of all the people that worked there were so nice and helpful. They have a reasonable airport pick up service. We arrived at 1:30am and the night clerk came down to the street to meet us and get us settled. It is close to downtown with lots of restaurants and shopping. It is a wonderful way to see the real Egypt.

We purposely wanted a property close to the Egyptian Museum and we were right across the street. This is a boutique hotel with a small number of rooms and very personalized service. The rooms are quite unique - ours had a huge high ceiling and a balcony looking out over the museum. We arranged drivers and tours through the hotel and everything was perfect as booked. Their breakfast is an excellent value and served right to the room. It is on a major road so there is traffic noise but we had no trouble sleeping.

Loved this tiny boutique hotel. Little hard to find on upper floor of multipurpose building but worth the effort. Room was well laid out and had room darkening blinds, comfortable bed, great water pressure and fantastic staff willing and able to help with any questions. They helped us set up a tour of the city and our taxi to the airport. They also had a resident cat which personally I loved! For those who are light sleepers bring ear plugs as you are near a major intersection and traffic can be noisy. But that is the cost of being so close to everything in Cairo (traffic is crazy!). Loved this place!

We had a wonderful time staying at Tahrir Plaza Suites as a party of three. They were extremely accommodating and gave us the option for early check in without any fuss. The staff were kind, informative, and made every effort to make our stay in Cairo as wonderful as possible. Being our first time in the city, they gave us recommendations of where to eat and which sites were a must-see. We stayed in the Amun-Ra suite and the room itself was spacious, clean, and with lots of storage. Being in such a central location, there is some noise from the cars outside - however, you will get that in all of Cairo. Just bring some earplugs and you will be okay! I would happily stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo!

Great little hotel located very centrally (across the road from the Egyptian Museum).

It can be a little hard to find. Look for a blue plaque and head up the stairs to the 2nd floor.

The outside traffic is very noisy. The only downside of the room is it isn't very soundproofed. They tell me they are looking at fixing this.

Pros: This hotel is conveniently located across from the Egyptian museum & close to lots of local restaurants. Staff is excellent & the facility is nice & clean

Cons: it can be noisy because it’s close to several busy roads. The hotel is on a second floor of the building but there’s no hotel sign in front of the building so it took us about 10 mins to figure it out where it’s located

Overall this is an excellent hotel conveniently located in downtown Cairo. Also the Kaza restaurant is about a 7 mins walk from the hotel This restaurant serves excellent Egyptian foods for cheap

The property is located right in the middle of everything. So many restaurants, corner snack places and even a liquor store and bar. Negatives... very noisy because it is close to busy intersection and honking until late into the evening. Room was small but did have a balcony which was a plus. Small fridge in the room came in handy. Not the cleanest of places though. The front desk personnel were the highlight of our stay. They were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful rooms, though there was a lot of street noise (unsurprisingly given the location) and not much to dampen the sound inside. The service was very odd and struck me as a hotel that hasn't quite figured out the service industry and what guests want. The entire stay was unfortunately marred by an unpleasant experience trying to get a covid test for return to the USA through the hotel, which involved the guy at reception refusing to give me the name or contact info of the lab to which the test had been sent and insisting I pay him directly. Felt scammed.

The best part is the pyramid view. The second best thing was the breakfast. Unfortunately that was it. The check in was awful with staff that was poorly trained and not friendly. We showed up at 2pm, check is at 11am and they lost our reservation. Then they informed us that our room was not ready and the one we ended up in was in poor condition. The entire building is very dirty and under construction. The pool area is scary, poorly maintained and trash everywhere. The common areas make you want to stay in your room and the room is dismal at best. I travel often and seldom write reviews but this property is so poorly maintained that it borders unsafe conditions. I would not even recommend it to my worse enemy.

I am a solo traveler and I will highly recommend this hotel. Very safe. The staff is super friendly. Goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Very helpful. They offer tour packages. I was in contact with Said before my arrival. And he arranged my pickup from the airport and helped with tours. The location is excellent. It’s literally across the Egyptian museum(1min of walk). Thank you for warm welcome

BOOK THIS HOTEL! where do I begin! from start to finish, my stay here was amazing! everyone there will make you feel right at home the moment you walk in. They’re all very warm & sweet. Try their egyptian breakfast & turkish coffee, ugh so delicious & made with love. it’s what I will miss most to be honest (although I miss everyone very much!) if you want an authentic feel of egyptian life, stay at tahrir suites. you will NOT regret it! It’s close to everything. You’re walking distance from many attractions, the museum is RIGHT across the street, plus the hotel provides their own tours so it’ll be an easy way to navigate Egypt especially if you’re a solo traveler like I was. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Egypt. You deserve more than 5 stars !!

The staff is very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean but there is quite some noise from the street traffic (like in most areas in Cairo since drivers use the car horn like crazy)

Keep in mind this hotel is in the very busy old Cairo, traffic noise is overwhelming. This is not the hotel's fault, but make sure to take ear plugs. The hotel is typical of what you find at this price range which is a floor in a multi-purpose building. The staff is amazing!!! They make you feel at home. We stayed 12 nights and could walk many places, the Cairo museum is across the street, Tarhir Square is just a few blocks away, Uber and taxis are also easy to get from here. Price is excellent, bed is large and comfortable, linens and towels are impecable, water pressure and temperature for showers was a great relief after our long walks. We will definetly stay again in this hotel if we stay in old Cairo and in a non-luxury hotel..

Perfect place to stay in Cairo if you want an authentic Egyptian culture experience. Plenty to do within the area and this Chef fell in love with the food! Staff is top notch. Easy covid test on site by visiting physician for the return flight. Results came in 12 hours. I will be back for sure!

Amazing and wonderful! First, the rooms are beautifully designed and each have a theme for a different god. Most importantly the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is amazing, have great communication skills and are super helpful. I had a problem with my Covid test for travel not being sent to me from the lab and they helped me find a solution in the middle of the night so I could make my 4am flight. The room was great, but the hospitality was spectacular.

This staff is amazing and the rooms are beautiful. Also, very clean! Directly across the street from Egyptian Museum. Beware, do not trust people in the street, they will attempt to tell you the museum is \"temporarily closed for the next hour\" and send you to a shop. If in doubt, trust the hotel staff, they will guide you!

The property was clean. We were always greeted with a smile. This graduation trip for my sister and I, the staff there went above and beyond to make us feel safe and welcome. They made calls to our tours organizers on our behalf and spoke in Arabic and translated for us, they arranged for our PCR test for us at no additional cost, one of the staff members also stood by the road with us until our tour operator came because it was dark. And did not expect or take tips from us!! Trust me that’s a big deal because in Egypt people expect a tip from you for everything!! They offer breakfast at a minimal cost, which is so delicous!!! I would recommend you get break there cause you will pay and arm and a leg out side. They also gave us recommendation to a restaurant that was authentic and reasonably priced. We loved our stay there!!!

Was a great place for me to stay especially that I was spending most of the day out, the location allowed for easy access to the various tourist areas. The staff were great and super helpful and so friendly. The lad on the late night and early morning shift was nothing short of a tourist guide and had some great recommendations! Nice rooms too....was great staying at a classic building, that oversaw Tahrir.

First, this is not a hotel. Rooms are used in a apartment building to rent out. This property is difficult to find because there is not a sign identifying their name or address. The entry into the building is dirty and looks dangerous to enter. You must know to take the small elevator at the top of the stairs to reach the rented rooms. The location is good, somewhat clean, and the service was mediocre based on who was working. For the money and compared to some higher star hotels, this property was satisfactory.
