The location is very convenient and the breakfast is good. The only problem was the taxi driver who was supposed to pick us up from the airport did not show up and we had to get to the hotel by our own...with all the hassel of dealing with non english speaking taxi drivers at midnight

Excellent Hotel

I chose this hotel due to the location, I wantes somewhere in downtown rather than Giza as most of the places to visit are in downtown and wanted to minimise travelling.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially families. We stayed in a spacious family room which was more like a small apartment—it had two separate bedrooms, a hallway, a clean and well-kept bathroom, and a lovely balcony. One room had a comfortable king-size bed and the other had two single beds, which was perfect for our needs.

The entire place was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were truly excellent—always helpful, polite, and ready to go the extra mile. Breakfast was also very good.

A special thank you to Mr. Aala, the owner, who made our stay extra special. He went out of his way on several occasions and genuinely cares about his guests’ comfort and experience. May Allah (SWT) bless him, his family, and his business, and may it continue to grow and flourish. Ameen.

I was very impressed with this hotel. I had stayed before at other downtown hotels in Cairo and I would say this is by far the best one. It was very clean, renovated and nice staff. Nice rooms, very good breakfast, nice bathrooms with complete showers. It has everything you need and more. Very close to places to eat and the Egyptian museum. I would come back and recommend it for sure to any one. Worth the price. I’m not sure why it better rate it.

Basic hotel downtown Cairo. Very clean and comfortable but the wifi was not working all the time. My wife really loved the traditional daily breakfast.

Excellent location for the Egyptian museum. Booked a 2-bedroom family room, got a small twin room. I gave the hotel the option of moving us to the paid-for room or returning the money difference, they moved us to a bigger room with three twin beds. Since it was on the quiet side of the hotel (no street noise), we were OK with it. The hotel/room is probably nice by downtown Cairo standards: efficient AC, hot water, clean, wifi slow but working. Our only significant complaint would be the mattresses which were of the cheapest type and terrible. Rooms are on floors 7-9 of what looks like a residential building, occasional electricity outage made us take the stairs. Elevators (when they work) are small but OK. Would rate it 8.5 out of 10 for Egypt.

My husband and I stayed at Amin this year 2023, January 25-28th.
We would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are super-friendly, Hotel manager Achmed, Massoud, the Bellydancer guy, Emy Fares at restaurant upstairs. Celebrated my husband's birthday here. Awesome party. Excellent service. Thanks Everybody at Amin Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. HABIBI.

The owner or manager was stellar; our tour he set up was reasonably priced and have made close friends with Mohammad who was our tour guide. Egypt and the Egyptian people were welcoming and kind; will come back again to stay here if i ever have

Amin Hotel is conveniently located in Downtown Cairo. The room was relatively large, given comparably priced hotels, and fairly clean. The staff were not the most friendly, but they were not discourteous. If someone's looking for a cheap stay in Downtown Cairo, I'd recommend. However, just realize you will not be getting the same level of \"customer care\" that you'd find in Western-owned / higher-tiered hotels.

Stinky room with lots of flies in the room. Bear in mind that encounter with roaches is a possibility. Not impressed with the free breakfast at all. Also breakfast servers and front desk crew didn’t know first thing about custom care. The hotel manager thinks he is funny, he needs to take a couple training how to talk with non Egyptian guests lol

I always stay here when in Cairo... The location is ideal, in the very heart of Downtown, close to everything: museums, cafés and restaurants, grocery stores and 5 min walk to a metro station.

The rooms are very cosy and designed beautifully with Arabian elements, always very clean and neat. The staff (both reception and breakfast) are amazing and always ready to help. Unusually enough for Cairo, wifi is stable and pretty strong, which is a great plus. Greatly recommend this hotel!

Price and location

Good no drill hotel in downtown Cairo, close to a lot of action. The rooms are spacious and comfortable enough and they also provide breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful and all in all for the price you pay, worth a good stay

Good hotel for a discount price

Generally very good for a very reasonable cost.
Not so good: room is not serviced between arrival and departure.
When asking for a taxi they prefer their own car and driver at an overprise. E.g a 10 min drive to the railway station is charged with 100 EGP while a taxi costs 25.
It would also be nice if the breakfast time was extended until 11 am.

Loved the hotel, great location, clean however the tour arranged through the hotel was a royal rip-off. Tried to charge us $650 US for camel rides at pyramids I believe it was D1 Stables. Ruined the experience

Okay place, very unpleasant hotel manager

This place is fine for the price, but I was very put off by the controlling hotel manager. He pressured me to book tours through him for inflated prices as soon as I arrived, with statements as bold as \"On Saturday, you're going to Alexandria\" and attempts to fill my days with far more activity than I was comfortable with. I was able to refuse most of these \"offers\", and ended up doing my best to avoid him for the duration of my stay.

Aside from this, the place was mostly clean, but there were mosquitoes. Other inconveniences included the extremely inconsistent wifi and the way the shower flooded the whole bathroom. Bed was decently comfortable at least. Rooftop sitting area was great.

WARNING!! We recently returned from Cairo and this hotel turned out to be a nightmare! We checked-in after midnight on Christmas morning after a 24+hr journey. We booked a 2-bedroom Family Suite, but were given 1 room with multiple beds. The bathroom shower had no shower curtain. Within approx 30 mins of entering the room, the power went out in the entire hotel for approx 3.5 hrs. No wifi, no lights, no heat or A/C, no way to charge electronics, no working elevator. We had to use cell phone flashlight to go down 8 flights of stairs to carry up our own luggage. What we thought was a random occurrence happened again on the 2nd night....for 5+hours! This time, no water in the morning since their electric water pump couldn't pump the water up that many floors. We found out from other guests that this was nightly issue for the past several nights due to construction on a side street. We complained to the owner who told us to let the manager Ahmed know what we needed and he would take care of it. We were out of the city early and didn't get back till nighttime. Manager Ahmed said he would offer us dinner at the hotel on Thursday, but this is already included EVERY Thursday night, as per their website!! They left us hanging and at checkout time, Ahmed did not follow through with any requests for reimbursement. The location of this hotel is good, but the service is NOT what you pay for or what is advertised.

We paid for a deluxe room, we were put in a very small room, we ask for another room they gave us a bigger room but it was still not what we paid for it was a guest room not a deluxe room. We left there after 4 days I ask for my money back for the next week but they said to contact you. Would not stay there again and the staff were not very welcoming.

The hotel had positive and negative points:

Positive:
The hotel was supper clean
In the downtown so close to everything
The staff were supper helpful
Good value for money
Lots of restaurants and shops nearby
Negative:
The power cuts off every night between 2am - 6am sometimes it cuts off at random time this happened on every single night during my 12 nights stay and once the lift got stuck in the middle because of power cut off. I would have given them 5 out of 5 of this issue wasn’t exist.
Breakfast was limited no serials for the kids.
Being in downtown noise is not avoidable, but they could do double glazing windows to reduce the noise.

This is an amazing hotel for the price. Beautifully decorated and service is awesome. The free breakfast could be slightly better with some cereals and fruits, but it is a good basic start to the day. Would have stayed there at the beginning of the trip had I known how nice it was.
