The hotel is part of a budget chain of hotels. The room smelled like there had not been deep cleaned for a while and the shower head was dirty.

We booked at short notice so we were just grateful to find a room for the night.

This was a wonderful hotel that I wish I could have enjoyed for longer. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms did lack outlets but I believe that is because it is older. The hotel had a very friendly and helpful staff. I was happy I could easily rent a bike at a low cost for the day from the hotel. The breakfast was fantastic! So many choices and all so fresh. It was wonderful too to enjoy eating while viewing the Rhine. (Sadly on the second day of our stay they hosted the breakfast temporarily in the hotel large banquet space - this was not so nice!). The only downside of the hotel is that it is busy! It is not small - it's a huge hotel and thus breakfast, the lobby, and other common areas were always full of people. Check-in and out are not quick processes so allow for some extra time.
Despite minor inconveniences, I would gladly return to this hotel and this time stay longer!

I love this place! The rooms are outdated and need modernising but they are clean and good enough for the price. The area is the star, a beautiful part of the world with the Mighty Rhine the star of the show. Also the pool and sauna are lovely. The breakfast is incredible and the breakfast staff are lovely people who care about their visitors. We will stay here again.

Average stay let down further by chaotic service

The rooms are dated, basically 1970s rooms with occasionally maintenance and repair/paint.

Beds are traditional european, two singles pushed together. In my \"queen bed\" room there was a thick wooden divider between the beds - not ideal for couples but would suit friends travelling together.

Breakfast was ok, but you'd find nicer locally. The restaurant was chaotic, the ordering system is a hybrid of paper/tablet and trying to settle at the end too over an hour as there so few staff (even with low capacity over the weekend). This then reflected service in the bar/pub afterwards, as the staff were unavailable to serve there as they were still busy in the restaurant.

The payment system especially is archaic, never have I seen a hotel not able to easily add your orders to a room tab as you order, everything is done from bits of paper and memory at the end of the evening (along with everyone else). Which then takes a further 10 mins to put back in to another system on the computer.

Dated, but amazing staff

We stayed in a condo “Ferien Wohnung“. The location was great- right on the Rhein with plenty of food options walking distance. The condo was dated, smelled a little smoky and was carpeted (wierd for Germany), but we brought our little doggie and she was so welcomed there! Was really cool. Bed was hard, uncomfortable pillows, but the sauna was really nice! The friendly staff was my favorite part of the stay

It was a terrible room,paper thin walls, not nice to hear the people and/or TV in the adjoining room. The bed was very uncomfortable to say the least, glad I only stayed 2 days. The least said the better.

Beware when tour buses come: restaurant at breakfast is nearly impossible, staff is overwhelmed - hotel should reserve a section for non-tour guest; also ran out of hot water in shower one of those tour days.

Freezing room.

The hotel is nice, and on a good location near the river, but the promised \"river view\" room looked over the side street. The room was so cold when we arrived that it took all night to warm up to a decent level. The hotel was hosting a large number of fixed price customers and could not explain clearly how we were to have dinner at the hotel. (We found a nice place a short distance up the river.) Not a bad place, but definitely not the level of service expected for a hotel of this type.

Great overall hotel

The great view started at the entrance. I arrived in May and the gardens were just starting to bloom. The lobby is clean and well maintained as is the room. The view from the window of my room looked out over the river with a church in the background. It was beautiful. The plumbing fixtures were in great shape and the overall condition of the facility was good. With all the good, the only issue I had was a scent of tobacco smoke in the room. Not a big issue, but I have grown accustom to smoke free hotels. Not a plus or a Minus, but you must manually turn on the hall lights with a switch outside your room, just an observation. I did eat at the hotel and the food was good, with good presentation and very nice taste. I was able to communicate with the nice gentlemen in English.

Great Romantic getaway

When I booked this hotel all we needed were 2 double rooms. Upon arriving we were told there were none available so we would get 2 apartments that were on the outer area. The apartment we were given was big enough to sleep 5 people comfortably with a kitchen. Our friends was larger enough to sleep 7. The furtinure was out dated but that was fine we only slept there. The breakfast had a wide variety. The bar/patio area was very nice over looking the river. I would recommend the hotel to others with large groups. I have no opinion on the the guest rooms attached to the hotel since we were given the apartments.

De kamers zijn verouderd, het was ook bloedheet op de kamer.
Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk en attent.
Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht op de rijn vanaf het hotel terras.
Het hotel ligt bij een soort mini boulevard met terrasjes. Dat was heel gezellig.

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Rhein vom großen Balkon. Zimmer neu renoviert mit Laminat macht einen guten Eindruck. Frühstück Top Lob an die Mannschaft sie waren alle freundlich und alles wurde Nachgefüllt. Ein Manko der Zimmer Service am Sonntag hat das Zimmer in 4 Minuten gereinigt, so sah es auch aus.

Leider war sein Dezember kalt, und das Zimmer war nich vorher geheizt worden. Daher hatte ich kalt zum schlafen. An der Rezeption konnten Sie mir auch keine Wolldecke geben. Ich musste mi Kleider schlafen. Am Morgen war die Heizung dann oben und es war warm.
Im Restaurant gab es nur ein 3 Gang Menü.
Das Bad hatte leider Haare am Boden.
Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ansonsten schöner Ausblick auf den Rhein. Im Sommer sicher besser.

Würde ich nicht mehr buchen

Ich bin wirklich sehr kulant was Bewertungen betrifft da ich sehr viel in Hotels übernachte, auch beruflich…. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, das Personal nett und zuvorkommend.
Das Schwimmbad war im Prinzip keins, da es so klein und alt ist, dass man leider nur 2-3 Züge machen kann und nicht sehr einladend ist, auf den Fotos schaut es riesig aus. Die Sauna ist nicht schön hergerichtet, lieblos und lädt nicht zum entspannen ein. Der Außenbereich im „Wellnessbereich“ besteht aus 2 Liegen hinter einem Bretterzaun. Das Zimmer war renovierungsbedürftig und es war sehr warm ohne Klimaanlage. Fenster ließen sich teilweise nicht kippen, kein Mückenschutz. Alles in allem würde ich dort nicht mehr übernachten

Alles war ok.
Sehr freundliches Personal..
Das Zimmer sehr schön und groß.
Aber durch die gesamte Breite des Zimmers ist eine 10cm hohe Stufe.Das ist gefährlich auch bei Tag aber besonders bei Nacht,Wir sind mehrmals gestolpert und auch gefallen.Gut das überall Teppich verlegt war.

Alptraum ZIMMER

Wir hatten ein Comfortzimmer mit Rheinblick gebucht, dass Zimmer war eiskalt, HEIZUNG AUS und das im Winter! :-( der Raum wirkte als wäre es lange nicht mehr benutzt worden!
Toilette nicht sauber, Spiegel vom Kleiderschrank komplett beschmiert und unsauber! Im Doppelzimmer nur Handtücher für eine Person :-( ,

dann kommt die Krönung, statt dem angegebenen Queensbett, gab es 2 Betten die keinerlei Comfort boten, da Sie sehr niedrig waren und fast auseinander brachen! Dazu kommt, dass man sich nicht bewegen konnte, da das Bett MEGA LAUT GEKNIRSCHT!

Die Antwort bei der Reklamation an der Rezeption, Ihr Zimmer ist auf der 3. Etage, Etage 1 und 2 sind NEU renoviert, beim nächsten Aufenthalt besseres Zimmer!

Das ist ein NO GO oder, dazu sind wir seit vielen Jahren Stammgast im Hotel

Die größte Enttäuschung war die unfreundliche Chefin (ich vermute, dass es die Chefin war), die keinen professionellen Umgangston mit ihren Mitarbeitern pflegte.

Das einzige, was dieses Hotel wirklich auszeichnet, ist seine Lage. Allerdings sind die Preise für den Zustand des Hotels meiner Meinung nach völlig übertrieben. Für das, was geboten wird, hätte ich mir definitiv mehr erwartet.

Insgesamt würde ich dieses Hotel nicht unbedingt empfehlen, es sei denn, man legt absoluten Wert auf die Lage und ist bereit, Abstriche beim Service und Zustand des Hotels in Kauf zu nehmen.
