WE didn't get to stay in the main hotel, it had closed for the season (Oct 9th), we were put up in an apartment block only about 50 yards away which was OK. Basic but then we had booked a \"basic\" room. It's a short walk to the centre of Benitses with lots of Tavernas etc

Great place to stay and enjoy Corfu

The Concierge is very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is perfect to get you going in the morning. The rooms are simple yet satisfying with AC which is essential during the summer. The only thing a little lacking was the bed comfort.

A great hotel

A perfect stay really. Made so by the brilliant service. Felt very looked after.

Hotel itself was clean safe. It was simple but everything you need for an holiday. Everything worked well, air on made an a bit of noise but that’s normal I think.

I had the economy room on the ground floor. It was clean and it was nice there was a table with chairs outside to sit.

There was a TV, kettle and mini fridge where I could put some food and have brekkie in the morning. There is also an air-condition which you could use for free.

The hotel's policy is that they cannot give you plates, mugs and cutlery to use in the room, but they can only give plastic cutlery. So, if you would prefer proper cutlery then you would need to bring some from home.

There are two corner shops within 2 mins walking distance where you could buy bread and other groceries.

The bus stop is like 3 mins walking distance for the bus to the town centre.

The staff is helpful and happy to assist with any requests.

Benitses Arches is an excellent option if you need a place to stay in Benitses on a budget. It is close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the bus to Corfu town / airport.
The rooms are simple but functional. Beds have good mattress, air-conditioning was recently replaced and upgraded. Bathroom is small but has what you need. WiFi is stable albeit a bit slot at times. Breakfast options were more than enough for me.
The hotel manager is exceedingly helpful and polite. He makes everyone feel welcome.

This hotel was really wonderful and excellent value. It's tucked away so you don't get the noise from the road, but from my room on the second floor it overlooked the buildings in front and gave a wonderful sea view and views of the mountains further down the coast. The room was simple but clean and well presented. Maybe a little dated but that's fine. There was very good air conditioning. The balcony was large with the aforementioned views and a rack for drying towels, and some tables and chairs. The room had a fridge, TV and hairdryer, and the bathroom had soaps and shower gel/shampoo in a dispenser. My only small issues were that there was only one bin in the room and that was for toilet paper - maybe a separate one for the room itself would've been nice, but there was a bin outside so I just put the rubbish in that. Also the shower head was strange - it was powerful but with only a few jets of water. But these are two very minor things. The WiFi worked well. The thing that impressed me the most was the staff. On check in they could not do enough for me, even walked me to my room and showed me how to use everything. They were happy to give recommendations and said hi every day when I left and when I came back. And I was a solo traveler so having those interactions was a nice touch. Also there is a shop right outside and restaurants close and the beach is just across the main road. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I would definitely come back. Thank you Arches :)

Very friendly and helpful, location is great to walk or see the area. Easy to book tours. Amenities in the room were thin. There was a water kettle but it had to be moved to a different location in the room to plug in. No tea or cups. Shower was a bit messy with no curtain to contain it. Manager was welcoming and speaks multiple languages.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel has a lovely entrance and car park. Rooms are good size with ac. Mr.K was a brilliant host, friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is opposite a beach and very good access to Corfu town.

Friendly Benitses hotel in central location

It was a pretty standard Greek 2* hotel. Friendly attentive staff and eager to please. The 7 euro breakfast was good value and nicely presented.The hotel was nicely located just off the beach road and close to all the amenities in the village. Recommended. I intend to visit again in the near future.

Good enough for the price and for a short stay. The hotel had no other amenities apart from the room. The bar and restaurant were not open. We would have appreciated information and more of an orientation to Corfu when we arrived. However, the host was responsive to questions via WhatsApp.

Price was good and would recommend this hotel.

When we arrived the hotel host had everything organised very quick check in only had to show a copy of passports and paid the local hotel tax which was €0.50 a day. Room and bathroom we are very clean air-conditioning in the room fridge in the room and a TV. The shower was a little small when you pull the curtain but it’s a wet room so this is not a problem. With Covid rooms i’m not serviced every day anywhere but the maid was lovely and brought us anything we need is clean sheets bath towels and towels and would change the beds when we requested. When we rented a car we had parking just at the back of the hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient.Price was good and would recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to beach, supermarket close by, short walking distance to bars, shops & bus stop. Owner leaves you in peace but there whenever you need anything, nothing too much trouble. Room a bit small & basic but clean. Owner even asks when it’s convenient to bring fresh linen & towels rather than disturbing at inconvenient times. Great value for money.

A 2 Star punching above its Grading

Arches, relaxed, clean, chilled.

This is a 2 Star in Greece and it is punching above its 2 Star grading. The owner leaves you in peace but is always on hand if you need to ask anything. The rooms are spotlessly clean, bathroom a touch small but clean, beds a bit hard but as mentioned it's a 2 Star. I've staying in 3 and 4 Star in Greece and they have not hit the standards The Arches did. We had a very pleasant stay here and if I visit the area again I will have no hesitation in booking again... Location was excellent too...

This Hotel is located in a nice area of Corfu. Many close attractions. The managing team is extremely rude and unfriendly. There is no one at the reception at night till 10:00 am in the morning. If you need anything during that time, you have no one to assist you. The towels are changed every other day and not daily. I booked a double bedroom . I was given only 2 towels. When I complained, the manager asked me for extra money to give me more towels or to send the towels to the paid laundry service of the hotel !
Corfu is an amazing island that i would like to revisit often. I would never stay in that unfriendly hotel though.

Very good base for exploring the island. Across the street from a small pebble beach. Lots of restaurants and food markets within a couple of minutes walk. Not far to the airport or Corfu Town. Extremely clean, simple but nice rooms. No cups in room but has a kettle. A/C. Very nice large balcony. Parking. Would stay here again. The only real con is that the beds are very hard.

Great hotel, cheap price

We stayed twice at this hotel, it has quite basic facilities but the rooms are spacious enough, good bed/pillow with TV, Air conditioning, vanity area, closet, side tables/lamps and fridge.

The bathrooms could use some improvement but in general the facilities are new and very clean, so it's ok. The plus side is that it has a free parking space for guests only 10m away and that each room has a patio or spacious balcony with chairs, table and hanger.

In general we researched and visited/stayed in quite a few hotels in the area and this is by far the best option for the fraction of the price of what you would pay for this type of accommodation in Corfu/Benitses.

Benitses area in general is overcrowded and with lots of small shops/restaurant that are not so well maintained. However you can find fabulous beaches within this area. We found out that the best beaches close to Benitses are at Perivolos area ( about 2km away). Or the more upscale places (not more expensive just better organized beaches, restaurants etc) are North from Corfu Town, (Dassia, Gouvia, Nisaki, up to AG. Stefanos are absolutely wonderful)

We highly recommend Arches Hotel if you are staying in the Benitses area, or if you are going by car and will be using it as a point from where you can travel from during the day.

Disappearing staff

Staff came out to tell us parking was a block away then did not offer to help with luggage. We checked and did not see any staff for next two days.
Room was clean, the bed was hard.
Fortunately we were on the 3rd floor so we could see over the building between us and the sea.
Nice size balcony!

Pleasant experiecnce.

We (me, wife and two kids 13 and 15) had a lovely stay at Benitses I was last there 30 years ago and remember lots of trouble, which led to bars closing early and police forever present in the resort. But it is a different place now it is quiet but not too quiet there are nice new cafes and bars that were not there in 1985. The beach is much better than it was and the locals were as charming as ever. Don't believe all the rubbish on the news here about the impact of the financial crisis. We took all our cash with us and for anyone to suggest we could be mugged is grossly insulting to the Greek people. The old part, which I visited last time, felt strange at first because some of the bars/discos are still there with the name from 30 years ago still over the door, though in a few cases they are closed and run down (thinking of Spiros on the beach). The main road is busy but be vigilant and you will be safe, especially keep your kids close when crossing. There didn't seem to be many Brits there but for me that is unimportant so who cares? For families and couples looking to relax in each others company I recommend Benitses but if I was 20 again going with a few mates I would say it probably isn't the right place to go. The food was always very nice and none of the four of us ever felt unwell (though I always avoid poultry unless I prepare it at home myself). Go to to Benises and I promise you will enjoy it very much I would certainly go there again.

Two weeks in Corfu

Staff was competent, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, two minutes walk to the beach. A pleasant quiet place, surrounded by a well kept flower garden, standing out from the overcrowded budget hotels. Rooms were exceptionally clean, bedsheets and towels changed daily. A/C worked well.

The rooms are very clean, and we could upgrade to a little apartment next to our family,once that got available.
I stayed here before, and will stay here again when I go to Benitses. Location is perfect, and you don't hear the nearby road at all.

Hotell Benitses Arches, Corfu. Studio apartment

Hotell benitses arches tog emot oss med extrem vänlighet. Dem var snälla och visade hur vi bodde samt vart man kunde parkera.

Däremot var vägen upp till parkeringen extremt brant och smal, samt parkeringsområdet ännu tightare, rekommenderar minsta hyrbilen som går att hitta.

Själva området Benitses finns det inget att klaga på, säkert, mysigt, bästa miljön.

Men på hotellet så behövde vi ständigt fråga om saker som de hade intygat om fanns, men som inte fanns.
T.ex. badrumshanddukar, toalettpapper och soptunna för skräp fanns ej i studio lägenheten.

Ganska tråkigt inredd lägenhet men väldigt funktionell! Skön säng och en iskall AC vilket var viktigt för oss.

Bell'albergo personale molto gentile, in posizione comoda con parcheggio.
Pulizia della camera e cambio biancheria ottimo.
I letti non sono comodissimi e la camera sarebbe un po da modernizzare mobili un po vecchiotti.
Bel balcone non abbiamo mai fatto colazione in albergo ma 10 euro a testa con lo sconto invece di 15 ci è sembrato un po eccessivo per Corfu.

La posizione dell'albergo al centro dell'isola ed, anche vicino alla città, consente di girare molto bene in qualsiasi direzione.
Con lo scooter in circa un'ora raggiungi anche il punto più alto o più basso dell'isola. Molti ristoranti (veramente buoni) a pochi metri, mini market ed anche il mare praticamente a 50 Mt.
Albergo semplice ed economico, ma efficiente.
Perfetto se si gira molto e serve solo un posto dove riposare.
Costantino il gestore è molto cordiale e disponibile.

Vi trivdes jättebra på det här hotellet! Läget är bra, nära strand, affärer och restauranger. Vårt rum var fint, allt man behöver, litet kök med kylskåp, kokplattor, köksutrustning och AC. Vi hade en stor balkong med havsutsikt vilket var fantastiskt.
Det enda negativa var sängarna som var hårda.

Zeer schone kamer, met een balkon en een gezamenlijk dakterras bij de voordeur, ideaal als je wilt kunnen kiezen tussen zon en schaduw.
De kleine extra's zoals afwasmiddel en een schuurspons en zeep zijn erg handig.
Al er iets is kun je terecht bij Kostas of Conny, zij helpen je meteen!
We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad, en als we weer naar benitses gaan, kiezen we zeker voor Benitses Arches.

Mein Studio war grossartig, geräumig, ruhig, die Terrasse ging in einen wunderschönen Garten. Die beiden, eine Dame und ein Herr, die für das Hotel zuständig sind, waren äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die ganze Hotelanlage ist sehr gepflegt, mit wunderschönem Hof und vielen Pflanzen. Ich habe eine tolle Woche da verbracht und werde bestimmt wieder hingehen.

Consiglio questo hotel per la posizione, vicinissimo al mare e abbastanza vicino alla movida del paese. Vicinanza a due market apprezzata. Parcheggio con non molti posti a 50mt dalla struttura. Bella la vista dalle camere all’ultimo piano. Consiglio soprattutto la struttura per i gestori, sono stati cordiali e disponibili oltre ogni aspettativa. Quasi commossi nel vederci andar via dopo 20 giorni di permanenza. Consiglio vivamente la struttura. Due appunti: box doccia piccolo e materassi duri (almeno per le mie abitudini).
