This property is located in the heart of Vail Village, making it easily walkable to lots of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Everyone on staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. Our stay in Vail was during a particularly warm time (with temps in the 80s each day), so a fan in the room would be helpful for those hotter days. Our only other complaint was the pillows, which were very flat and probably needed to be replaced. If we ever return to Vail, we would definitely consider Christiania Lodge.

Right next to the old Vail Village, but removed and protected enough to be quiet and peaceful. Right at the base with great access to trails. No food service and pretty poor coffee in the morning. No major complaints - just make sure your expectations are not upscale Vail with everything ship-shape and new.

The hotel does not have air conditioning. It needs refurbishing. Housekeeping opened my door on two separate occasions when the do not disturb sign was out. I use noise canceling earbuds for phone calls and did not hear them knock. Room was quite noisy as windows needed to be open and a 10 year old box fan put into one window to cool down the room. No valet, to park car you have to get card from front desk, open lot gate with card, park and return card. Not pleasant after dance performance late at night in rain. Pool is kept at 90 degrees F so not a place to cool off during day. I would not stay there again in the summer. Ski season might be different.

Only negative was that there is no a/c or ceiling fans and we stayed during a heatwave but with fans provided and open windows the room was pretty comfortable as Vail cools down at night. The location is excellent. It's right next to Gondola One. The heating in the room broke and the room was freezing cold. The bathroom made a loud whining noise a few times every night. The room was next to the street so you'll hear people late at night. The water temperature in the shower jumps up and down so you will freeze or burn yourself. To access the outdoor car park you must first walk inside to get a special key which is a bit inconvenient. Also you're not guaranteed a parking spot which is ridiculous if you're paying extra for it. The room is old and shabby but it's cozy.

The pictures are a misrepresentation, the rooms are small and musty (really bad), they do nothing to maintain the rooms, the bathroom fixtures are patched together and the shower head barely worked. Our stay was a major disappointment and we won't stay there again! We wouldn't recommend it!

Christiana Lodge at Vail is very conveniently located in the heart of Vail Village but is still very quiet and backs up to a rushing creek. They have a great outdoor pool that is heated and open year-around. My only disappointment was that they have discontinued their nice continental breakfast in their attractive dining room and now you have to get dressed and go down the street for breakfast.

The hotel is older and has unique character, which we like. BUT, it was not clean or safe. I had to pull splinters out of my babies foot and my young daughter's foot because the wood deck has not been maintained. The heater has exposed wires and sharp pieces that my baby could reach. There was no toilet paper at all in the bathroom, i had to go get some at the front desk. We found a women's vibrator on the nightstand. 3 windows and the screen door were broken, faucet leaks, bathtub doesn't drain well. I would expect for the price to feel safe for my entire family from getting hurt, but unfortunately the owners have not reinvested any finances to make it a place i would stay again.

Room, location, and staff were fine. Convenient paid parking across street. Only negative was rhat the room was exxtremely hot, no a/c, so we relied on cool night air and a fan to finally be able to sleep on a very good mattress.

It was OK... no mention on website that this lodge has no AC.. very stuffy and hot room. Not OK for sleeping, although multiple fans were provided. Still uncomfortable On 2 occasions an employee opened our door with a key without knocking. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are small and very old looking. Hotel needs some care and updating. The locks on the doors are ridiculous to try and open. Will probably not be returning. For most of our stay, the internet service was not working. The check in guy was great and very helpful. The location is wonderful. Overall the stay was OK but not worth the money IMO.

Great Vail location but the property needs updating. No A/C and pool area was in need of work with no hot tub. The room was nice with balcony onto the stream. This propertys value is its location. It offsets a number of property deficiencies.
