I didn't realize our room was going to be in a building so far from the main bldg. It was clean and bed was very comfortable, but we were next to a utility room and there was a constant hum during the night. There was a nice green area in front of our bldg and we moved our lawn chairs there to get a better view of the water. Unfortunately, the roadway can be noisy with truck traffic, but we loved the little community.

This is a large commercial hotel. It is right on the 132 so there is traffic noise during the night. Bus tours stay at the hotel so dining reservations can be limited. If you are looking for charming seaside accommodation I would suggest you book elsewhere.

Relaxing hotel of Carleton-Sur-Mer

Realky nice place to stay if you want to relax in the town of Carleton. While it's directly in the center of the most touristic area, people around seem to remain quiet at night time, which is a good thing. People at the reception are also pretty nice and they even let us stay in the same building for convenience (we booked two rooms but separatedly so we weren't originally staying in the same building).

The hotel gives us access directly to the boardwalk beside the sea and also a convenient pool as the sea water is kind of hard to swim in. It's also close to all other restaurants and a drug store as well. However, if you need to go to a grocery store you might have to walk a bit or use your car.

Not worth the price tag

The rooms are clean and the bathroom is huge. The main problem is the price. These room are absolutely tiny and overlook a parking lot. All fine, but not worth the nearly $200
ight price tag. My daughters were wedged on a sofa bed next to a air conditioner that blew frigid air on them. We had to choose between them freezing to death or all of us sweating all night. For some reason, perhaps safety, we could not open our windows.

The pavilion Chaleur we stayed in is a glorified motel. All amenities are in other pavilions therefore not easy to access. The room is musty and the overall appearance is shabby. No landscaping. Creaky floors. Deceiving presentation by owners. Will never ever choose another Riôtel property

This was a very nice motel. The room was updated and clean. It was right on the beach with easy access. We were on the first floor and whoever was in the room above us was very heavy and an early riser! Thankfully they left quickly but the sound of their footsteps was quite loud. Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour!
Carleton-sur-Mer est un endroit enchanteur et la Baie Bleue est parfaitement située.
La qualité du service (efficace et sympathique) nous a particulièrement plu. Nous avons été très bien traités.
Nous avons apprécié la plage et les activités nautiques offertes. Notre souper sur la terrasse du pub St-Joseph avec la vue sur la baie a été très agréable.
C'est à notre avis un bon rapport qualité-prix et une expérience très supérieure à celle que nous vécue au Riotel de Bonaventure (à tous les niveaux).
Nous y retournerons l'an prochain, mais pour plus longtemps!

Avant de choisir hôtellerie Baie bleue. J'avais parlé avec le service à la clientèle, et elle m'a dit qu' on voyait l' océan en sortant de notre chambre, ce qu'elle a oublié de préciser c'est que, pour voir il fallait qu' il n'y ait pas d'auto dans le stationnement. Fallait traverser la 132 pour arriver à la piscine et voir l'océan. Paysages magnifiques

This ended up being our favourite stay of the trip. Check in was easy, having the beach and boardwalk right across the street was perfect. The restaurant had great food options and service. The room was clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds. It was close to a microbrewery, depanneur, SAQ, and a fantastic bakery.
