Great Hotel, good food but lightly outdated rooms.

The hotel is in a great location to explore Eisenach and there is a lot to see. The service is great and the restaurant is one of the best that I have ever had the pleasure to eat in.

The only critic I would have is that the room we stayed (115) in was a bit old. The minibar cupboard was screwed shut and the shower was very small.

However everything was clean and functional and there was plug sockets next to the bed and wifi was free and fast enough for video calls.

Breakfast was typical for a German hotel of this class. It included a selection of cheeses, meats , rolls , cereals etc. Bacon and scrambled eggs also available.

An established hotel centrally located in this small city. My single room was small but comfortable and very reasonable. My only quibble would be that the shower was cramped, but that wasn’t a problem in my fellow travelers’ double room. The restaurant is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but there are plenty of good places a short walk away.

A disappointment because of the room they gave me.

I had chosen this wonderful old-style hotel in the old town and was very disappointed to a get a room so close to the lift that I got woken up numerous times (until abour midnight) by the lift-engine humming at various frequencies and decibel.

Overall a good choice

The receptionist could hardly speak English although she was quite pleasant. Check in was easy.
Although we asked for adjoining rooms, we were given 2 rooms quite far apart but on the same floor.
This hotel was not as close to the station as it looks on the map but still walkable. It is right near to the town centre and we were able to walk back to it quite easily from Wartburg castle ( I would not recommend walking up as the route is very steep).
Their advice on bus numbers was slightly inaccurate as they gave out a schedule to Wartburg as bus#9 but the actual bus is #8. As we were short on time and not sure if #8 was the right bus, we ended up with a taxi.

We walked back to the hotel to ask them to call us a taxi but were told to walk to the bus station and hail one. This set us back on our tightly planned travel shedule and we ended up missing the train we intended out of Eisenach.
Storing our luggage was also strange. We were led to an unused dining room and told to just leave it there. No security. We just came back and took the luggage without any checks.

Fantastic location for sightseeing.

Do some research on the location (Google street view) or finding the hotel car park will be difficult. Get there early for the easiest parking. The location is great for the town centre with the Bach museum not far away. The Wartburg castle is absolutely amazing and is straight up Wartburgalle on which the hotel is situated. Do not attempt to walk up; the narrow, winding road is very busy with visitor traffic and the car parking up there is good.
The hotel is very nice inside even though the rooms are on the small side. You will not spend much time in them since there is so much to experience in Eisenach. We were late booking a meal in the restaurant but their sister hotel a few minutes walk up Wartburgalle had a nice restaurant with lovely food. breakfast at the Kaiserhof was really nice with some exceptional pastries. English no problem.

If you get there early, you can leave your bags, walk left around the corner one block to the Karlsplatz. It heads the shopping district where there are familiar stores and eateries. You can catch the 3/10 up the mountain to Wartburg Castle.

Location is on the corner just about entering old town center. It's fine,
Stuff is horrible, dry, un helpful and not cordial ( both afternoon and next morning shifts )
Horrible experience with the WiFi. Not recommended to anyone who needs to work.
The receptionist is also the barista and the beauty of the lobby evaporates with the quality of service.
Room beds are top soft, curtains don't make the room dark, and the fan of the air-conditioning is noisy..

Ideal mid town centre site....however!

The hotel is obviously undergoing refurbishment. I find it difficult to understand timing such an activity for mid summer.
There was no inhouse dining room other than for breakfast. It was suggested that evening meals were tken at a sister hotel 10 minutes walk away. There was no room service (food) available.
During our stay work was going on on our landing, I presume refurbishing bedrooms. Carpets on ground level areas were alsobeing lifted and replaced. Warnings of these activities prior to arrival should have been given.
The Hotel as obviously had some standing in the town and sells itself as such, but at the time we were there it fell short.
I understand that an overnight parking fee could be charged....even though the parking was an outside open carpark but I feel that for someone who was parking for 11 nights a reduction on daily rate could have been offered. At times the park was inadequate for the number of guests staying.

Great location but

It's conveniently located between the station and the old town. The building is full of character, the bedroom was clean with free WiFi (they gave me two passwords, one each for my iPhone and iPad), and the inclusive breakfast was more than satisfactory. Apparently both restaurants downstairs are highly rated. I had a really nice dinner at Der Zwinger. If only they had English menu.

Negative points: The bathroom was pretty basic with a shower only. The picture quality of the old bulky TV was terrible. The batteries of the remote controller were almost empty, though they were replaced while I was out after I complained to the receptionist. They charged me the tax which was supposed to be included in the rate ( I didn't argue as it was only a couple of Euros but I confirmed it later on Expedia).

I wonder if I should have stayed at other hotels nearby: much luxurious looking Steigenberger whose rate was about the same as Kaiserhof or plain but definitely cheaper City closer to the station.

This is the first hotel, I could find 3 TV polish channels. The room was clean and big enough. It is very noisy in the room because one of the main streets is just next to. Breakfast is rather poor but scrambled eggs were the best of German hotels.

A little out of the way for touring.

An older, but clean hotel with helpful, pleasing staff. Located just outside Main Gate to the city. Unfortunately it is located near the train/ bus station and on a main traffic route. Since a/c was not apparent, we had to keep windows open and the traffic noise continued late into the evening and restarted around 5:30 am. The 5 Euro breakfast buffet is a deal. Most historic sites are within walking distance.

Eisenach is a pretty small town, so most places will be well located. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly. No air conditioning, as is usual in Germany. Difficult to see what the basis of the 4 star rating was. I'd say it was a good quality 3 star.

Alles sehr sauber.
Auch Wunsch nach Allergiker freundlichem Zimmer wurde prompt erfüllt.
Einzig die funktion der Badheizung Infrarot war nicht so selbsterklärend.
Minibar oder kl. Kühlschrank auf Zimmer wäre noch gut.
Frühstück auch völlig ok.
Grad auch Salate und Aufstriche.
Lage dicht beim Bahnhof.

Mir wurde am Anreisetag ein bereits bezahltes Zimmer abgesagt und ein Zimmer im Thüringer Hof als Alternative gegeben. Ich hatte keine Zeit mit dem Hotel zu diskutieren und habe es angenommen. Im Thüringer Hof hatte ich ein sehr schlechtes Zimmer weil WLAN nicht funktioniert hat und direkt vor dem Fenster ein lauter Kühlwagen ununterbrochen lief. Also kein guter Schlaf. Insgesamt habe ich also schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht im Hotel. Das Zimmer und Bad war total in Ordnung und alles sauber. Das Bett bequem und Frühstück hat alle Wünsche erfüllt, Parkplatzatzlatz direkt am Haus im Hof. Vor allem das Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!!!

Das Hotel ist super....würden sofort nochmal kommen und es auch weiter empfehlen. Wenn nur nicht der Parkplatz mit 7 Euro Gebühren wären !! Wir finden das gehört zum Service ,wenn man schon Gast ist. Und wir denken , jeder kommt mit dem PKW. Das war jetzt abzocke auch wenn es ausgeschrieben war. Wo soll man denn sonst parken?

Das Highlight sind die zum Hotel gehörenden Turmstuben, ein erstklassiges
Weinrestaurant. Habe noch nie etwas gleichwertiges

Very good classic old hotell.

This is a very good ( Old classic hotel in almost excellent condition.) Good location in downtown Eisenach, got a carpark, but you can still walk to everything in the town centre. The breakfastbuffet was good and so was the condition of the hotel. I was there on my holliday, but I would definetly recommend this establishment for both business and pleasure.

Wir waren für eine Nacht im Hotel Kaiserhof in Eisenach. Das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit. Der Zustand des Hotels im Allgemeinen ist in Ordnung. Man kann innerhalb weniger Minuten verschiedene Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu Fuß erreichen.
Das Frühstücksangebot war gut und für uns völlig ausreichend.

Leider war die Sauberkeit im Zimmer für ein 4-Sterne Hotel nicht ausreichend. Im Bad funktionierte die Dusche nicht richtig und der Duschkopf müsste dringend erneuert werden. Außerdem waren noch Hygieneartikel vom Vorgänger im Badezimmer.

Sehr tolles guterhaltenes altes Hotel mit Charme… Super Frühstück
Freundliche Angestellte . Auch die Nachtrezeption war Mega nett und wir konnten im Tollen Bar Bereich noch einen absacker trinken .
Einzig kleine Anmerkung wäre das die Zimmer eine kleine Renovierung benötigen , da sie etwas ins Alter gekommen sind. War für uns aber kein großes Problem , der Rest reißt es wieder raus . Wir würden wieder kommen 👍

Mein zweiter Aufenthalt im Hotlel Kaiserhof

Trotz seines Alters (immerhin rund 125 Jahre alt) ist das Hotel in seinem Innerenit mit modernster Technik ausgestattet, ohne aber dabei seinen \"historischen\" Charme zu verlieren. Hinzu kommt die sehr zentrale Lage am Nicolaitor. Man braucht gar nicht weit zu laufen, um zu den ersten Sehenswürdigkeiten, den ersten guten Lokalitäten oder in die Fußgängerzone mit ihren vielen Geschäften zu gelangen.

Schönes geschichtsträchtiges Hotel. Der Empfang an der Rezeption wirkte ein wenig gelangweilt. Der Parkplatz am Hotel war voll, aber man kann sehr gut im öffentlichen Parkhaus gegenüber parken. Auch wenn das mitreisende Kind im Elternbett schläft, sollte es doch eine Selbstverständlichkeit sein, dass auch für das Kind Handtücher bereitliegen. Dem war nicht so. Auswahl an Weinen an der wirklich schönen Bar /Lobby ist doch sehr begrenzt (jeweils 1 Rotwein, Weißwein, Rosé plus jeweils 1 aktueller Wein). Für 7€ pro Glas Wein darf die Karte ein paar Weine mehr anbieten. Nachfragen zu den Weinen konnte die Kollegin an der Bar nicht beantworten. Das ist dann schon seltsam, wenn es ja schon so wenige Weine sind. Einige Teppiche sind abgenutzt und haben Löcher siehe Treppenstufen in Richtung Parkplatz. Das ist der erste Blick, den man auf das Hotelinnere hat, wenn man vom Parkplatz kommt --> suboptimal. Das Frühstück war sehr schön, sowohl Räumlichkeiten und Ambiente als auch Angebot.

Im Vergleich mit anderen 4 Sterne Hotels ist dieses nicht gut. Keine Minibar. Wasserkocher mit kurzer Schnur. Nur auf dem Fussboden zu betreiben. Duschkabine eng und mit Kalkrückständen. Nachttischlampen funktionieren nicht. Wirkt alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen und irgendwie ohne Herzblut betrieben.

Mein erster Aufenthalt im Hotel Kaiserhof

Als erstes einmal ist natürlich die zentrale Lage hervorzuheben: gleich neben dem Nicolaitor und dem um die Ecke liegenden Karlsplatz und somit nicht weit von der benachbarten Fußgängerzone mit den vielfältigen Einkaufs- und Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Dann ist auch positiv hervorzuheben, daß das Haus für mich \"historisch schön\" ist: Es ist mit dem Baujahr 1897 zwar alt, hat aber seinen \"antiken\" Charme bewahrt. Und doch fehlt es im Hinblick auf \"moderne\" Technik (wie z.B. Fernseher, WLAN, Klimaanlage/Heizung) an nichts. Zusammen mit der komfortablen Einrichtung, dem guten und reichlichen Frühstücksbuffet und vor allem dem überaus freundlichen und persönlichen Service blieben für mich keine Wünsche offen und ich würde es bei einem erneuten Besuch in Eisenach wieder wählen.

Gutes Hotel, freundliches Personal, Babybett wurde direkt ins Zimmer gestellt. Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Einziges Manko war, dass der Hotelparkplatz Abends voll war und wir in der Umgebung parken mussten. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße, daher konnten wir Nachts kein Fenster öffnen, bei geschlossenem Fenster hat mal aber fast nichts mehr gehört. Wir waren gut zufrieden insgesamt.
