Went to an event close by, was only given one room key which a friend lost. When we got back to the hotel the lobby was closed and a note on the window to call a 24hr number. When we called the number kept disconnecting. Had to go stay at another hotel, when we went back in the morning and showed the call logs, the employee said they received no calls. Told them to check the cameras as well. Contacted management, they never returned my call and still won’t answer me in regards to a refund. Horrible service.

Very frustrating experience. The laminate floor in the room was sticky and turned my socks black from walking on it.

Unfortunately, my handicapped father was sick the first night and soiled a sheet, and 2 towels. The staff would not take the dirty linens and told me I would be charged for the fitted sheet and 2 towels ($100). I had to call to have the trash removed, and towels replaced on the second day, as no one came to clean the room. When I returned to the room on the 3rd day, the room had not been cleaned again, so I checked out a day early. It is hard to take care of someone in a wheelchair with dirty towels and trash piling up.

The first day, the cleaning people gave me 3 rags so I could clean up. I used them to mop the floor. The water was black coming out of the rags, and I had to go over the floor twice to get it cleaner, but at least I was not sticking to the floor anymore. I do not believe they mop the floors at all. Very disgusting!

The only person who was at all helpful during the stay was the front desk clerk. He brought me a clean, fitted sheet and towels the second day after the room was not cleaned, and took the soiled linens. He also helped me with the doors so I could get my handicapped father in an out of the doors.

I was charged for the night I did not stay. Very disappointed as Best Western used to be a decent hotel chain.

It's a very old but somewhat renovated motel. Ok for one night, but happy it was only one night. The bed frames are made of metal and every time you get up or lay down on a bed, it makes loud metal noise. Such noises come from your own bed as well as you can hear them from other rooms. Very annoying. The walls in our room were dirty with some brown splashes - not sure what those were. Microwave in the room did not work. The iron wasn't working property. The front desk guy was nice. Would not stay there again.

This hotel is disgusting. There were roaches coming out of the shower and sink drains. I had to move rooms at 11:30pm.
There is no bathroom counter space and transits hangout in and around the parking lot.
I immediately checked out the next morning, which was a day earlier than expected. I booked a hotel around the corner which was 1000% better and had parking lot security.
I do not suggest staying at the SureStay by Best Western in Fresno and wish I could get my money back.

Clean the floors between patrons. Make sure each microwave is functioning. Create a barrier between the shower water and the rest of the bathroom, especially the toilet. Place a counter around the sink. Place the sink in the bathroom.

There is no outlet in the bathroom and no mirrors in the main room, so I had to use my computer camera to do my hair. The floors were so oily from cleaning product that I left visible footprints. There is such poor ventilation in the bathroom that the wood on the bathroom door was splitting apart. There are no sheer curtains, so your lighting options are "blinds open for everyone to see" or "dim horror movie lighting." But it is in a convenient spot.

The room had a funky smell to it. I looked down and my feet were black, so my guess is they're mopping the rooms with dirty water. The shower came with a dirt ring around the tub. And the guy at the desk acted like he didn't understand english when i asked about it. The smell in the room got better after I bought a Fabreeze air freshener. I was charged 100$ deposit, I should get it back and some kind of compensation for the conditions of the property.

King room was spacious looks like it was recently remodeled because the paint looks new although the bathroom had some cosmetic issues everything worked good.
Note the floors were a bit dirty as soon as i step on the floor my feet were greasy lol and dirty
Maybe mopping will help. Other than that everything was good.

I will never stay at this property ever again. The room did not feel clean. I could not sleep because I just didn’t feel comfortable. The bed had hair in the sheets. Know Not my hair because as I lifted the blanket hair strands visible. And more hair strands on the ground unswept floor. The shower tile was gross, did not put my bare feet on the ground. Saw some roaches. No bars to hang clothes. Luckily I had my own towels and blanket to sit on. The property is only 2 blocks walk to courthouse. And at night it is very well lit. So it felt less spooky with no dark corners. And free parking!

This is an older property right near a couple of convention centers. So if you're looking to stay somewhere cheap for the night, this is the place. Not much to get excited about. Just a basic place to lay your head down. It appears that the area is pretty safe, however there are limited dining options to walk to.

the beds were on some sort of metal plate that makes a very loud noise when you turn over. our car got broken into while we stayed there, the attendant promised to send us a video of the security footage and we have not been sent it nearly a month later.

The room seemed decent at first, but we soon discovered how unclean it was. The shower towel had what looked like pubic hair on it, the toilet unit had what looked like fecal smears on it, there was a dead cockroach in the middle of the floor, the white bed blanket cover had a brown smear, and there was an article of clothing left behind by the previous occupants. We were extremely disgusted to stay here and would have left in the middle of the night if we had anywhere else to go.

Room was clean and no cigarette smell..Yesss! None! I am so thankful for this updated surestay by best western location. Bathroom was clean, fridge was clean, microwave was clean. Room also came with a personal coffee maker. The housekeepers were very attentive. Thank you to the older housekeeper who swept the pigeon poop on the second floor and for offering new towels and toliet rolls. Would recommend this location to friends and families visiting Fresno. Can't beat the price.

I’m very understanding of the price you pay versus what you get, but even at this price, it just wasn’t worth it, there was a gap around the room door that let cold air and noise and light all day and night, there were some use Q-tips on the side of the bed and under the desk for some reason, and there was a piece of gum stuck to the wall of the shower as if someone jumped into the shower, then just took it out and place it there. It made the rest of the day very hard because you can’t tell what’s clean and what’s not, the floor was very dusty, probably from the gap around the door, My feet were black just walking around in the room, also the base of the bed was metal and popped every time you over on the bed, all these things made sleeping IMPOSSIBLE

The property is located to accessible areas, but the property itself is a bit needs repair. My room had to go to the front desk because I had to restart a breaker to get my heater going in my room the room smelled a faint smoke very noisy with other patrons playing music in their cars outside my bathroom needed repair. It seemed spin a little bit more money to get a better room. I was just passing through.

The rooms are very clean. The automatically provide daily housekeeping which often doesn't happen even at more expensive motels.

The things that make this my motel of choice when I am in Fresno are 1) Friendly and helpful staff, 2) Clean rooms, 3) Good Wi-Fi connection, 4) Ideal location, 5) Hot breakfast, and 6) Large towels.

Great price, and terrific location in walkable downtown, right next to Saroyan Theatre and Convention Center, civic center, tons of great dining options. Easy free parking. Clean and decent, comfortable rooms. Free breakfast. One gets the impression new owners have a few things to take care of. Broken phone, ice machine out of order although they can give you ice at front desk, saw a few little roaches, no recycling. But bottom line: when I come to Fresno again, this most likely is where I will choose to stay.

This is an older facility in downtown Fresno. Room was clean. Bed reasonably comfortable. Bath towels were very small (2/3 the size of a basic bath towel) and stained. The pool and surrounding area was filthy and not well maintained. I spent an hour cleaning the pool so my daughter could get in it. Pretty disappointing.

The room was OKAY but the window literally had bullet holes in them. We found sex toys under the bathroom sink and the cleanliness was just not acceptable. Sketchy part of fresno, very noisy and lots of homeless and drug addicts wandering the streets.
