This is our go-to location when traveling with kids to Meersburg. The family room is excellent and the hotel is right next to the old town. Only wrinkle is that the parking they give you is about 15 minutes away and the map they give you isn't very well marked. Take about 5 minutes to get your GPS set before leaving the small loading zone next to the hotel.

The breakfast was terrible, very poor for the price. The location has a parking arrangement but it’s located 20 minutes walk from the hotel (very inconvenient). I found public parking for 15 euros per night.
Overall not worth the money…

The room was okay. Not bad, not good, just okay. The location was great. Unfortunately there are two jufa entrances. So you have to know the one you are supposed to to, which is very confusing. Plus people are walking on the streets the cars are also driving on. I had to back up from the wrong entrance to about a block to the right entrance. Then I was “greated” by the mayor who said if I stayed there I would get a 55 euro ticket. He did point me to a loading/unloading zone behind the building. Of course he didn’t say that’s what it was for. The hotel said u have to drive 5 minutes away and walk back. Not unexpected considering how old the town is, but you really have to know German to know these ins and outs and understand what to expect. The location was awesome and everything is absolutely walkable even the ferries to kanstanz.

Decent stay for the price

The hotel is located in an ideal and centrally located area. The beds were comfortable and the room spacious. The floor were not clean (hadn’t been washed). The free breakfast was nice, but average in taste and selection.

We slept five of us. Our room was large, with comfortable and sturdy furniture. It is simple, and overall clean. We were able to open our window to a lovely, cobblestone and flower-accented street below. The breakfast was pleasantly memorable, with thoughtful details. We enjoyed it very much! The location is fantastic.

Hotel was good and convenient for a family of 5. Their large rooms accommodating families are about 30m away from the actual hotel building however the big issue for us was the lack of a parking space. The hotel gives you a “parking card” and you are allowed to park at a lot about a km or more away from the hotel. An annoyance if you have ‘forgotten’ something in your car. Otherwise the location is good and close to restaurants and the heart of town. Walking distance of the Meersburg castle. Take the Minau cruise from Meersburg.

Location is perfect within the historic walls. Yes, it's a historic village so there is no car park, but that's easy to find out prior to arrival. Be prepared for that. Yes, it's more of a hostel-like hotel without luxury amenities, again, be prepared for these things and it's exactly as expected. The room had everything we expected and/or needed, no complaints! A historic building in a quiet little village where you can walk to everything. Absolutely will return here!

Poor staff support, didnt have our proper reservation, blamed expedia. Got to room and three beds short! Unapologetic. Took 25 minutes to be seen for checkin. They offered up another inadequate hotel, kilometers down the road and some free drink coupons at the original hotel...wow. This HUGE error caused us to cancel our vacation with no availability anywhere else. The staff could have cared less. Free parking area is a real hike, far away, and requires 50 euro deposit. Recommend avoiding to ensure a worry free trip.

There is NO automobile parking within two blocks of the property. As a couple with a few mobility problems, it was difficult to check in and out with our minimal luggage. If we’d have been on a longer trip, it would have been impossible.

On a more positive side, the facilities were very convenient to the old town of Meersburg with charming shops, cafes and stores. They have done an amazing job of converting an ancient building into a clean, modern, comfortable place to stay in European style, at a very reasonable price.

All the hotel staff was excellent. A full American and European breakfast was one of the best. If I have any complaint it would be the distance from the hotel to the free parking. It was about a 15 minute walk. It was free so no big problem. Great hotel I would recommend it.

Great place in a great city. Meersburg is one of my favorite places in all of Germany. This location was perfect place to stay. Rooms were clean and the views were perfect. I will be staying here again. Great value for your money. You can drive up and unload your vehicle, but Meersburg itself has no parking. The free parking is a 10 min walk away.

Horrible Place to Sleep

This building feels more like a dorm room than a hotel, particularly given the sparse, weird feel of the rooms not at all cozy. One entire wall of rooms faces their kid's playground and it is extremely loud. Even if you wait until the kids are in bed, teenagers and drink adults loitered there well into the night and were LOUD. The hotel did nothing to correct this. I could hear everyone slamming windows, and we did too, just to have more muffled noise and a stifling hot night's sleep. Awful.

Nice hotel in the heart of Meersburg.

Enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel. Nice spacious clean room, with reasonable price and great breakfast. Only complaints are that Internet access did not work and parking was not convenient. Had to park further away until early evening when I was able to park in the parkade.

Pleasant house in great location -- in historic part of Meersburg, close to lake, plenty of entertainment options. The hotel itself is a cross of hotel & youth hostel and also caters to school excursions and so on. Would be an excellent choice for families with kids, for whom many aspects seem designed.

Great location BUT you need to be familiar with how to get to the exact location or else you will end up taking a long uphill hike dragging your luggages with you. Our car GPS didn't help one bit so be very mindful about this.

Very good buffet breakfast and having it outside was a treat.

Biggest issue is the absence of A/C in the room. With the temp rising to mid 90's on the night we stayed, it was extremely uncomfortable. I'm curious how guests at the peak of summer can handle the condition without A/C. Interesting info, the common areas have A/C!!! So my son wanted to just sleep at the hallway...

This is one of the best places I visited with my family. Everything was adapted to kids: breakfast, dinner, everything. The hotel has 2 playgrounds: indoor and outdoor and are in perfect state ! The staff are so nice and friendly, they waited for us till 23:00 while they are supposed to close at 21:00, I very appreciate their efforts.

If your looking for a 4*/5* hotel this is not the place. It has a very basic finish but is clean. We had little options for choices in Meersburg and opted for this one. My friends ended up in a tiny room (literally only fits the bed) and we got a huge room with reception room. Not that we needed it and the TV wasnt in the bedroom which was a little annoying. However the staff were very helpful and even gave us bread cake.

Nice location, quiet out of season.

Stayed for one night in this hotel. Room amenities were sparce but was tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of foods and a nice slow atmosphere. They are keen to get you checked out by 10 and the cleaner was literally at the door waiting for us to vacate. The hotel parking was a bit of a joke as you needed 50 euros deposit (returnable) to get the permit and the car park was a fair walk from the hotel, not great if your travelling light. The groundsman was a happy fella and probably more helpful than the reception staff.

It was great. There was a festival in the town at the same time so we got to get in free as it was centered in the Old City around the hotel. The festival was fun - lots of entertainment, food and drink. The hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. Breakfast was great - all sorts of options from cereal to scrambled and hard boiled eggs to pretzels and lunch meats. Something for all.

Modern hotel in old town Meersburg

Modern family-friendly hotel just off the cobblestone Marktplatz in Meersburg, walking distance to restaurants, shops and Old and New Castles. Meersburg was one of the most interesting and picturesque places in southern Germany, which is saying quite a lot.
Hotel itself has the feel of an upscale youth hostel, in a good way, with bedrooms with dorm-style arrangements of 2 or 3 single beds, and 2 separate but private bathrooms (2 piece and 3 piece).
There was a large kid-friendly play structure (wooden pirate ship with slide), bikes for renting, and a kids playroom and breakfast items like yummy giant pretzels.
Parking lot initially hard to find from road above the hotel, although just a block away.

Very Nice Stay

The village is located on the side of a hill and this hotel is located at the top. We preferred the location, rather than on the water, as it was very accessible by car and was close to lots of shops and restaurants. Only saw two desk clerks during our stay and Zuzanna was a joy, extremely friendly and helpful and her English was sufficient for us to communicate easily. Hotel was nice and clean and would stay here again. While parking was free (how unusual) their lot was a real hike away, probably a half mile. Would recommend using the pay garage across the street -- free from 7 pm to 9 am and infinitely more convenient.

We stayed here with our two year old and three year old, and we all loved it. They have a great little playroom for the kids, as well as a Viking ship outdoor play structure, and little ride on toys. It was nice to have something for the kids to enjoy before bedtime after we got in from being out all day. The hotel is just a couple minute's walk from the castle. Breakfast was really good and included scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and more. The only downfall is that there is no AC in the rooms, but we expected that.

Perfect family friendly hotel

This was one of our favorite hotels on our 9 night trip through France and Germany. There were 8 of us and we booked 2 family rooms, each with 2 twins and a set of bunkbeds and they were very spacious. We loved the location- close to everything. The stay included a wonderful breakfast as well. I would highly recommend it to families.

An attractive and relatively economical hotel. It was very busy with school groups during our stay. Parking was a little difficult and confusing-we ended up using a multi-story a little way away and paying between 9 and 7pm. Breakfast was good and their is a pleasant 'beer garden/ cafe in front of the hotel.

Throughout our travels in Germany we were very pleased with the service and cleanliness of every place we stayed with the exception of Hotel Jufa Meersburg. First impression when we walked in was that the hotel would meet our needs quite nicely. Unfortunately this was not the case. The front desk staff were neither friendly nor helpful. We asked for an additional blanket and the check in staff couln't understand what we were requesting. There were cobwebs in both our sleeping area (below the top bunk bed) and in the bathroom. Under the bed the floor was quite dirty. The atmosphere seemed rather sterile - not the friendly environments we experienced every other place we stayed on this trip. Breakfast was quite adequate.

This hotel was clean, big rooms for a family, comfortable and right in the heart of Meersburg, which is a beautiful village well worth a stop. We did not bring kids, but if we did this hotel is set up for kids, with a multiple play areas, activities pre arrnaged (conact the hotel), and large spaces for children, for example the breakfast room.

Ich hatte 3 schöne Tage in Meersburg. Ich war mit Hund unterwegs, was auch im Hotel überhaupt kein Problem war. Das Zimmer und Bad waren einfach, aber sauber. Das Frühstück war nichts besonderes aber völlig OK. Der Tv funktionierte, das Wlan war für meine Zwecke ausreichend. Es ist ein sehr schönes aber halt einfaches Hotel. Ich hab mich wohl gefühlt und die Lage ist auch sehr schön.
Direkt am Hotel ist ein Parkplatz zum be- und entladen des Fzg. Der eigentliche Parkplatz (öffentlicher Parkplatz über das Hotel aber vergünstigt) liegt ca 7 Gehminuten entfernt. War auf Grund des guten Wetters und da ich mit dem Hund ja eh vor die Tür muss auch völlig in Ordnung.
Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen.

Das JUFA Hotel Meersburg bietet eine gute Unterkunft mit sauberen Zimmern und freundlichem Personal. Die Lage direkt am Bodensee ist einfach fantastisch und bietet wunderschöne Ausblicke. Gleich bei der Ankunft mussten wir feststellen, dass mit der Buchung etwas schief gegangen war, und sie die dritte Person nicht auf der Liste hatten. Der Service reagierte unkompliziert und schnell, und gab uns einfach ein größeres Zimmer.

Der angepriesene Parkplatz stellte sich als Katastrohe heraus! Es gab zwar 4 Stellplätze vor dem Haus zum Be- und Entladen (sehr wenig, wenn alle gleichzeitig auschecken), aber einen hauseigenen Parkplatz gibt es nicht. Stattdessen wurde ich mit einer dürftigen Wegbeschreibung und einem Parkausweis zu einem etwa einen Kilometer entfernten Parkplatz geschickt. Nach zweimaligem Verfahren hatte ich ihn dann auch irgendwann gefunden. Das Navi kannte den angegebenen Namen nicht, am Handy hatte kein Netzl

Das Zimmer selbst hat eine alte Einrichtung, aber wenigstens nicht kaputt. Die Aussicht auf das gegenüberliegende Parkhaus war kein Highlight, mit offenem Fenster schlafen leider auch nicht - ab 6 Uhr kommen die Lieferanten für die umliegenden Geschäfte.

Nach dem Duschen hatte ich drei Spinnen auf dem Arm - diese hatten es sich scheinbar im Handtuch bequem gemacht. Zum Glück nur in diesem, und nicht in weiteren. Der Fön im Bad gab nach 20 Sekunden den Geist auf. Da kein Telefon im Zimmer zu finden war, bin ich mit nassen Haaren ins Haupthaus (das Zimmer war im Nebengebäude), um einen zu leihen. Das versprochene WLAN funktionierte nur im Treppenhaus, nicht im Zimmer.

Einziger Pluspunkt: Sehr gutes Frühstück!

Hotel correct
Petit déjeuner excellent en terrasse ou intérieur
Chambre sous les toit pas adapté lors pic de chaleur
Horaire accueil un peut juste (8h à 22h) pour la saison et lieu touristique surtout pour une chambre à plus de 200€.
En France même les hôtels à 40€ on un accueil 24/24h
