Although clean and staff were good the air conditioning was terrible. This meant long hot sweaty nights. The air conditioning finally failed and they said we could change rooms. New room had same issues and very poor a/c. Perhaps after Reno’s next year things will improve but for now stay away if the heat bothers you!

Convenient Location in Konstanz

Helpful staff. Nice breakfast buffet.

Convenient and easy walk to the Altstadt and restaurants nearby.

The room was quiet IF the window was closed. However, it was very noisy into the night if open and we needed to open the window to get some circulation.

Convenient location to visit the Old Town

Location is good and service great. I asked for extra towels as there were none for the face or to wipe the hands. They brought them in immediately. Parking is also accessible and did not cost a lot - 10 euros for 24 hours. As we stayed for less than a day, it only cost 5 euros which was ok. There's a lift to go from the parking to the hotel so all in all, quite convenient.

Fancy hotel in Konstanz

The hotel is located in the center of the city and less than 3min away from the bus station. Staffs are kind and if you pay city tax, they will provide the bus tickets during the stay so no need to buy one.

Spacious hotel near the city centre and lake!

This is the second time that I have stayed here, so that speaks for itself! Main asset was the super air conditioning, as it was over 30 degrees in Konstanz. The reception area is lively and spacious, the room was on the first floor (so no lift needed) and everything was very clean. Breakfast spread was appreciated, though related items were not always placed next to each other. Parking in underground car park was reasonably priced.

Perfect location close to the water

Really nice hotel with outstanding friendly staff. They put in the extra work to make sure we felt welcome and also showed us that they really like having dogs around. We received a gift bag and a few goodies for him.
The location is really great you can reach the city in 10 minutes and also go for a nice walk around the lake.
Breakfast is simple but good and tasty.
The only negative point:: the bed was way to hard and led to me and my girlfriend having back pain every morning.

Conveniently located for the centre of town; an easy and pleasant walk across the bridge. Staff were accommodating at all times of the day and showed enthusiasm and interest in making our stay as good as it could be. Rooms are simply furnished; heating and ventilation controllable, and everything worked. I would stay here again.

Nice, clean, new hotel. Dedicated reception staff there 24 hours a day. Rooms are a bit small, but we had the pull out couch out to accommodate our children. If the couch was folded in it would have been fine.

Only issue was with the crib we requested. It was in the room when we arrived and we put our 1 year old daughter to sleep in it to begin with. However when I looked in on her about 30 minutes later she was in between the mattress and the side of the crib at risk of getting trapped. I repositioned her into the center, but she immediately rolled to the side again and slipped in between the mattress and the side. I took her into the bed with me. Crib is old and should be replaced!

Nice hotel close to bus stop, easy access to train

Easy to find, welcoming staff. Just a short distance from bus line to trains station and tourist attractions. Medium size room with with IKEA feel. Very clean, plenty of electrical outlets for charging electronics. Standard European breakfast buffet with cold cuts and cheese, lots of gourmet breads, eggs and lots of juices is extra $11.

Hotel seems new. Had it not been in renovations (that did very little to disturb my stay), it would have gotten a perfect \"hotel condition\" score. Check in and out were smooth. Staff are nice enough. Early check in was a very pleasant welcome. Room is a little small but perfectly functional and clean. The hotel is a little far from the center (15 min. walking), but this is probably why it is cheaper than it should be. Good value overall.

the breakfast was good at all, there were some construction equipment inside the hotel near the breakfast area (separated by wood walls).
expedia listed free parking but I had to pay the parking (the parking is a private one not owned by the hotel and the hotel doesn't validate the parking ticket)

the wifi was good, no hassle just a dash page where you have to check a box and push a button to be able to use the wifi

We came with a child, were provided with a roll-away bed for free, kid's fun pack, they had some child-friendly food on the menu , overall very pleasant experience.

Typical Ibis. Clean, efficient, no fuss. The parking garage was convenient to the hotel with a direct access elevator. The only issue is it is also a public lot so you might have to wait for a spot if there is a market going on in the old city. The parking is 6.20 Euro for 24 hours. Also, there are no extras in the rooms (coffee/tea/shampoos etc.) which is to be expected but just thought I would mention it. Overall it is a great place for the inexpensive prices.

The hotel is very clean clean and staff are very keen to ensure that you enjoy the stay at the hotel. They go out of their way to satifu customers and help out where deemed possible.
The only issue, I would say is the exclusion of breakfast within the price and the fact that breakfast is expensive for what it really is.

Good affordable option

Spend two nights in the beginning of november. Room was clean, modern, and a decent size for two adults. Hotel had switched over to only heat which made the room rather uncomfortable. As we were on the ground floor and our room was along a popular street, we weren't able to open the window much. All in all good hotel within a 15 minute walk of all the Konstanz sites and restaurants. Would stay again, just on a higher floor.

Great staff but unfortunate location.

The hotel itself and their staff were good. There is also the benefit of onsite parking at around €6 per day.
Our room faced the front of the hotel and was clean and had plenty of room for the two of us and one large suitcase.
Unfortunately our stay was on a Friday night and we were kept awake by a nightclub nearby, even with the windows closed. Not the hotels fault but keep it in mind if you sleep light.

We weren't too concerned that the hotel is not right in the centre of town as we were only there for one night, but anything longer and you would want to be closer to the town centre.

We didnt take the option of breakfast, however did order coffees from the bar which were good.

The free wifi was always quick and trouble free.

Room very clean, well arranged, yet small (in particular if you have 2 kids with you). Very good for a couple looking just for a good place to sleep. We were pleased with the stay, and would probably be there again (if we are in the area). Excellent location, 10 minutes walk from city center Konstanz. Parking - good (for additional 6.5 EU overnight). Breakfast available for 10 EU per person - but we did not eat there.

Very Good for this Area

I was very pleasently surprised with this hotel after some of the other establishments I have stayed in in the German /Swiss border area. It was at the standard you would expect from this Chain but in an area where the general hotel standard is poor that puts it above average. It is well located and priced I would use it as a preference if traveling to this area again.

Used this for our recent visit to OutDoor in Friedrichshafen (about 40 minute drive to the Messe). Had everything we needed - clean, great shower, helpful staff, car parking and wifi. Lovely kitsch bar opposite with interesting cocktails and great pizza.

the room was great, the beds were comfortable with a large toilet and breakfast were excellent! location is quite good as well, just few mins walk from the bus station which have services to nearly all locations in konstanz! But the only drawback is the wifi in the hotel room was not functionable! I called the front desk but the staff just said the wifi is running good in the hotel at the moment and did nothing about it. Luckily there is wifi provided at the lobby and we get down to the lobby to use the internet. Thats a bit of a trouble but still a overall good experience in ibis.

Great view and location

The hotel is situated only about 20 metres from the banks of the Rhein River and you have an excellent view from your window. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could expect. The tv was only about 21 inch which was a little small but still ok.

It is a reasonable walk from either of the two train stations being situated almost halfway between them both. This is still easily reachable though with a suitcase in tow.

This IBIS is the same as many of the others I have stayed at. Free internet and free breakfast. Overnight parking under the hotel was about 12 Euro. The breakfast choices were large and could satisfy most palates. I stayed on the third floor facing the road and heard no noises whatsoever. Very quiet and a short walk to the old town of Konstanz.

I was on business so lack of wi-fi in bedroom (advertised as available) was a big problem as wi-fi in lounge didn't work on a couple of mornings so I couldn't check e-mails before I went out.Staff were pleasant and helpful but in evenings having only one person on duty who was checking people in and serving at bar didn't work. After waiting 20 minutes for service we left to go elsewhere for a drink. This is a shame as good location with comfortable and clean rooms with great shower but not having a kettle in room and slow bar service in evenings a nuisance.

Hotel is situated about 15 minutes walk from the old town, very pleasant walk.Rooms are functional but without ant extras, no tean and coffee in the room and the bottle of water left in the room cost 2.90 euros. The hotel markets itself as a \"business hotel\" but 50% of the rooms do not have access to wifi. When I complained to the reception staff I was toid I should have asked to move rooms!!!!!!!! On the Friday evening there was one member of staff dealing with registrations, serving at the bar and taking orders for food.......they are obviously operating on a shoestring. This could be a good hotel but they need to think more about meeting customer needs.

Good for a relatively inexpensive stay

It is everything I could expect from a relatively inexpensive hotel. Room and facilities similar to other Ibis hotels I have stayed at. Sufficiently comfortable en-suite double room, clean and well presented. Note that no kettle/hot drink making equipment is provided in the room. We asked for an additional pillow which was provided immediately. The shower screen was not entirely effective at preventing water spraying outside the shower tray, and the daily room tidying service only seems to be operating in the morning, so on the day we left at around lunchtime our room was not refreshed (but this didn't bother us too much). The in-house cafe on the ground floor was reasonably priced and served good tea and snacks. Location very convenient for getting to the town centre, and reasonable eateries within walking distance. Staff noted maintenance issues diligently, and were helpful whenever we approached them.

Gorgeous hotel, hideously uncomfortable beds

This is a new hotel in a superb location in walking distance of Konstanz centre. The staff are outstanding and provided exceptional customer care. The rooms are smart and well-equipped although the absence of drawers is surprising.

Also surprising is the lack of dining facilities and free parking.

The beds were the hardest and worst we have ever slept on and so uncomfortable that our sleep was ruined. The one thing we wanted was a good night's sleep but that was not possible.

Such a pity for what should have been a wonderful stay.

The hotel was surprisingly nice for the price. The only real problem was that the WLAN signal was too weak to reach up to the room, so I had to go to the lobby to get Internet access.

Also, the rooms with a view also overlook a very busy street. With the windows closed, this was not a problem, but the street can get loud in the morning.

Das Hotelpersonal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns sogar auf ein kostenfreies Busticket hingewiesen.
Was aus der Buchung allerdings nicht hervorging war eine aktuelle Renovierungsmaßnahme des Hotels. Für unseren Aufenthalt war dies nicht störend, aber bei der Ankunft doch etwas verwirrend.

Die Lage ist super, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war auch ganz gut - hat bereits einige Jahre gedient, aber nebst der Dusche, wo das Wasser fast nicht abgestellt werden konnte ganz ok.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig. Brot, Waffeln, Marmeladen, Käse, Fleisch etc. herrlich! Der Orangensaft und die warme Schoko haben für uns zu viel Wasser und somit Luft nach oben.

Leider wollte ich am Abend und am Morgen noch Arbeiten, aber über den ganzen Aufenthalt ging das Wlan nicht. Zudem haben sie am SONNTAGMORGEN gebohrt uns Materialien in ein Mulde geworfen das direkt unterhalb meines Zummers war. . Das Betr hat bei jeder Bewegung gekuitscht und es hatte auch keine Margerine beim Frühstück. Es war ein enttäuschender Aufenthalt. Ich wil eine Reklamation einreichen und eine Rückerstattung.

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut. Innenstadt sowie öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Von der Tiefgarage kommt man direkt ins Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und man hat kaum eine Möglichkeit, die Kleidung auszuräumen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Alles in allem passend für einen Kurzaufenthalt.
