The smell of the room was awful There was a nasty big dark brown spot in the middle of the bed. There were bugs, me and my lady found bite marks on us the next day we had a poor experience i was dissatisfied with the room entirely. It didn’t even look like it was professionally cleaned at all I’d go to red roof before I stay at this place again and that’s saying something I would’ve loved to refund for the inconvenience, but instead, when I try to explain it to the people in the office, they kept hanging up the phone and not answering my calls

I was never so disgusted with a room. I booked it on Expedia, and there was no mention of smoking or non-smoking rooms. When we checked in late at night, we were too tired to leave and find another hotel even though it was run down and we feared the rooms would be bad. The room smelled of heavy, disgusting, old smoke. It actually made me sick and I couldn’t sleep. Unfortunately, I booked a room for a niece as well and hers was the same. The reviews made this sound like a really good hotel, especially for the price. Someone is not writing honest reviews.

Checking in was a disaster. The front desk person had no idea what to do. She tried to charge me for a prepaid reservation. Then she gave me four sets of keys for 2 separate rooms, yet none worked. She had to call the owner who had to change the batteries on the door locks. How this hotel is portrayed on Expedia and how it actually is is very different. Expedia should ends it relationship with the Bluegrass Inn.

When we were getting dressed we noticed the bottom of our feet were black from the floors. There was mold in part of the sink area. The “restaurant next door” was a Captain D’s. Not what I consider a restaurant. Breakfast was not that great, mostly sugar products.

This is a very nice Motel. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area. I was skeptical at our decision to stay here instead of our usual hotel choices. I am so glad we decided to take our chances on this motel. A great value. Nothing fancy but clean, updated rooms, comfortable beds and very friendly, accommodating staff.

So convenient. Easy to get to from Interstate 64 and then easy to drive into Kentucky State University, downtown, and the Capitol.

We asked for connecting rooms, as their website and Hotels.com said they had. Emailed the hotel to confirm connecting rooms. When we arrived to check in, we found out they only have one set of connecting rooms, and one of the rooms that connect was booked after we reserved ours. We were not able to get connecting rooms. Unfortunately, nothing else in the area was available by the time we arrived.

We had a room adjacent to a stairwall and by a busy street. Traffic noise but even more, at 4:15 am someone parked below tooted thier horn twice and ran up / down the stairs. Noise of steel stairs went through brick wall and into our room, affecting our sleep. Otherwise I liked the property. Any other room would have been a better experience. They could soundproof drywall on end room.

The room was great especially for the price! Extremely clean. The only drawback was the door was very hard to open. The girl in the office had to show us a “trick” to open it. Breakfast is basic but good.

Overall it was a pleasant 2 day stay. I was appreciative of the fact they let me check in an hour early. The room was clean. The room location wasn't ideal though. My view was of a set of concrete stairs. No way to open a window even on the ground level to allow fresh air in to the room.
