The staff was nice and pleasant. The breakfast was solid, but did get old after 2 days as there was zero variety day to day. Adding some more fresh fruit options or changing up the hot items would have made it better.
The rooms and linens were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were remodeled at some point, but are starting to show wear.
We used the pool area and found it was good. The pool deck and pool surround is in need of repair outside (broken tiles, outdoor pool ladder was wobbly) but the inside space was nice.
The location is great especially if you are doing bourbon tastings/tours, very centrally located to a lot of excellent distilleries.

I liked my stay at this place. I stayed six nights while in Frankfort. During the week it was relatively quiet here but on the weekend perhaps due to events that were coming to nearby towns there was rowdy groups of people like bikers that hung around that were sort of disruptive throughout the night. Also parking is very difficult if you get to your room after about 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. if you get there during the day and you stay in you have no problem finding a parking spot but if if you come later in the day you will have a lot of difficulty with parking. The breakfast was fine. Pretty typical but they kept it well stocked I'd prefer some non-pork protein options but it was all well. I didn't use the pool or anything whenever I finally thought I might I realized there was a lot of people at the hotel so I just decided I'd rather not. You definitely hear people running and stomping on the floor above if you are on the lower floor at night but the rooms are comfortable and clean, the housekeeping staff it's very nice and helpful I have no real complaints I'd stay here again if I were to come back to Frankford

I was impressed with how well the hotel stay was. The breakfast was better than some of the Hilton properties we have stayed at recently. The pool was impressive being an inside and outside pool. Even though there was not an elevator we were able to park in the back and enter up the incline next to the pool.

Enjoyed the stay and would stay again if back in Kentucky. Staff, cleanliness, amenities, breakfast, all day coffee all very good. The bed and pillows could be a bit better give a 4 out of 5. FYI your room has two doors, one thats like a motel faces the parking lot (so you can park right outside your room) and the other to the hallway to get to other rooms, lobby, pool etc.....

I stayed at parkside in from March 14th to March 17th to make a few stops on the Kentucky bourbon trail before my business trip to downtown Louisville. I felt like I got that “Kentucky hug” as lot of people describe when you sip on some good bourbon as the bourbon goes down. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly, I was welcomed with such wide open arms from really down to earth people. My room always was spotless night to night and smelled great, and I couldn’t beat the deal I got booking through Expedia. If I could give any constructive criticism. They have a bourbon trail rate if you book through best western, however the deal I got booking through Expedia was better (96 per night). The complimentary breakfast every morning was to die for, and also the last night of my stay, I went to the front desk asking kindly for a do not disturb request until I checked out because I wanted to sleep in before I checked out. They didn’t even bat an eye. They said “absolutely! No problem!” That was very appreciated! I have already had a conversation with my parents and next year in 2027, I will make sure we book parkside in on our family vacation to do the bourbon trail again next year!

The sink, as in many BW facilities are always on the edge of being completely stopped up. This one was the worst. Being there for one night made it not worth having them remedy but it is rather disgusting considering what it suggests is down the PVC piping and U- trap!!

The room was below par. Carpet had stains, refrigerator was falling out of cabinet, bathroom looks like it was out of the 70s, when you ran water in the sink it wouldnt drain and smelled the room up like a porta potty. Told when we checked in they had a full breakfast, omlets, eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. They had eggs and sausage, the eggs looked like they were made of powder, bright yellow and the sausage was weird. Went down at 630 and the coffee was gone, had to ask the front desk to make more.
I will never stay in a Best Western again.

Really enjoyed this stay! You can tell the management has taken very well care of place and has been doing upkeep a lot. The cleanliness, quietness, breakfast and so forth really made the stay even better. The only reason it is not listed five out of five would be because when we stripped the bed before leaving, we noticed that there was a blood stain and a yellow stain on the mattress protector, which was fine because it is covered with multiple sheets, but at the same time should be replaced otherwise this was a really great stay and everything else was very, very clean and that is why I’m listing at four out of five. Would stay again!

Reception didn’t fully explain how to get to the second floor room we were assigned. Our first time at this hotel on the second floor and the location of the ramp next to the pool at the back of the property is not clearly marked. There are no elevators on the property, but the ramp at the backside of the building provides easy access to the second floor level rooms, once you know where it is. We couldn’t find it as we were looking for stairs, which there were none at the back of the hotel.

127 Yard sale

Pricing was good. Hotel is excellent. I will definitely stay there again. We stayed here to do the 127 yard sale we did have to travel back to the 127 exit. It was only 12 miles. Well worth the drive.

Nice place to lay your head for the night. Was given key card for someone’s room. Good thing they weren’t naked when I opened the door to their surprise. Lmao. Other than that snafu at check in, place was ok. Clean and plenty of parking. We were towing a car trailer so I liked the availability to park near our room.

Clean Room

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was super nice. The breakfast buffet was ok. They did have bacon which was a nice addition. The pool was an indoor/outdoor combo which was nice if you don’t like the sun. The gym was on the small side. I ended up walking outside since the temperature was nice, so I can’t speak about the available treadmill or other machine. Laundry was available and was reasonably priced. It was also convenient being able to park right outside our door while at the same time being able to access areas of the hotel without going outside. The lobby had fresh fruit available and I also think they had hot tea and coffee, but I can’t be sure about that.

We did have a great stay.

It was super clean. Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was great. Coffee was delicious. Rooms are outdated but again all super clean.

It became very noisy on Friday night. Banging of doors, people outside our room smoking since the ashtray was right outside our room, people were outside drinking. Not causing any issues but it was just loud. We ended up checking out super early since we had a long drive and couldn’t sleep. I never received the emailed receipt.
