Good value, nice room.

Stayed for just one night whilst visiting friends nearby. Clean comfortable room with coffee and DIY breakfast facilities. Excellent full English breakfast (you need to book in advance). Our shower didn’t work however, looks like the water was off. We were in a rush so just used the sink and didn’t try to get someone to look at the shower. I am sure they would have sorted it.

Decent enough for the price.

The hotel overall is acceptable, was clean and comfortable. I had an evening meal which was good quality.
What is above and beyond are inclusion of fridge, microwave and toaster with some bread butter and cereals.
Only real gripes were the bathroom was cramped and no WIFI which apparently had been down for some time. I was able to use the WiFi in the bar while I ate.

The Willow House is now looking tired.

I have always stayed here whilst working at Snetterton Circuit. Rooms are spacious with a fridge, microwave and breakfast items in the room! Great for me with being away early in the mornings.

Arrived on Friday evening having been sent details of the keycode to access my room. Been working all day so I went straight to the bar for a drink and food at about 7:55, The was a group of 7/8 people ordering food and and by the time I could be served I was greeted with the \"kitchen closes at 8!\" I was tired (so didn't want to have to go out elsewhere and I was actually staying there, so the lady behind the bar checked with the kitchen coming back with a flat no! Not impressed. To close a kitchen at 8pm on a Friday does seem a bit early? I was heading back to my room. Googling where else to go when another lady caught up with me and said she would tell the kitchen to serve me!

Unfortunately, the wifi was not working at the Willow House and the mobile data signal is very poor, which gave me serious problems with work in the evenings meaning I didn't get to bed until the early hours.

In the morning I was hoping for a refreshing shower to wake me up, bit unfortunately it wasn't much more than a dribble!

On Saturday evening I called in at the nearby Tesco to get a microwave meal to avoid the problems of the previous night.

Another long night with no wifi and in the morning the shower water gave up typically when I had shampoo in my hair!

We were really impressed and will certainly keep this property in mind should we need to stay in the area again.
Plus Points
Having a key safe outside the room made booking in and out so easy.
The room had a well stocked mini fridge, a microwave, a toaster a selection of cereals, preserves etc available for a DIY breakfast as well as a TV.
All the staff we had dealings with were friendly and helpful.
The meals were far larger than expected and well cooked, we actually called back on the way home for a meal because we were so impressed with the dinner we had while staying.
Minus Points all of which are more of suggestions rather than complaints.
No shaver socket in the bath room, a two pin plug adaptor would solve that problem although they may get pinched by some guests, similarly a USB adaptor.
One other observation although I appreciate it may be due to the ongoing building work was a metal box section going across the path in the passageway, I felt it was a trip hazard which could be hazardous especially for elderly guests.

Comfy bed and reasonable DIY breakfast (cereal / toast / yogurt / juice) but property a bit tired outside and inside. We had the joy of a water pump constantly on and off all night which kept us awake. Sound proofing in general isn’t brilliant. Did the job for a night but it is not the height of luxury - damp in bathroom and ceiling clearly had a leak at some point. The welcome message states they’re under going some refurb - I didn’t see any work ongoing.

Disappointed as it could be so much better

The room was clean but there was a lack of attention to detail. The toilet had not been cleaned properly and needed flushing to get rid of part flushed waste. There was an open packet of Alpen cereal in the breakfast basket which should have been noticed as unsealed when the basket was replenished. There is a toaster in the room with a sign saying not to have it set too high as the smoke may set the smoke alarm off (the rooms are all linked so if an alarm sounds it goes off in every room). Surely it would be better not to have a toaster and rather than bread have croissant or pain au chocolat instead. The smoke alarm appeared to be missing, although the base was in the ceiling there was no unit fitted. The fridge had a pint of milk but after arriving in the afternoon we each had a cup of tea, when we had another cup after waking in the morning there was insufficient milk left for both of us to have a cereal breakfast and so a 2pint bottle of milk would be more useful.

Only minor negative observations are that the annex accommodation is a little tired from the outside and beware the footway leading to rooms as there lurks an unmarked trip hazard across the pathway - be careful !!
However, overall, a very good place to stay and we would recommend.

I stay at the Willow House a couple of time a year with work and have always found the accommodation to be excellent. Spacious rooms with plenty of power points, fridge, toaster, microwave and some breakfast supplies in your room. The bed is comfortable and although the ensuite is compact, it has everything you need. The restaurant serves great food too.

Watton is a nice little town with very little visitor accommodation, so Willow House was full. The pub and restaurant is popular with nice friendly staff. However, the rooms are shabby, randomly and cheaply decorated and in the case of my room, damp. Brownie points for the solar panels but no option to separate waste for recycling.

I stayed at the willow House for 4 days and 3 nights, visiting family who live nearby, exceptional service, with room being cleaned daily, a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle in the room’s ,eating and drinking in the hotel pub as well, all food is homemade, portion size’s great even from a sandwich to jacket potato, to a main meal, sides and dessert’s offered as well, I managed a cherry and apple crumble after a prawn jacket, oh my if you like coleslaw, this homemade coleslaw I feel must be the best I have ever tasted, will definitely recommend and stay here again

Spacious bedroom with DIY breakfast, incl. toaster, fridge with milk, yoghurts, bread, butter cereals etc which was great with making an early start each day. Also the usual kettle with tea coffee and biscuits etc. These were all replenished daily as were toiletries etc so great service on this front. Most accommodating in the restaurant in reserving a table for later arrivals back from work, The food was excellent with a good choice and the portions were generous. Staff were friendly and welcoming, so all round an excellent hotel

The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained but was disappointed that no mention was made when booked that the pub/restaurant wasn't open. Booking was non-cancellable so couldn't change my mind when i got the text message from the Willow House informing me of this. Room had a microwave, toaster and very noisy fridge so had to go to the local Tesco for my food as no restaurants nearby, and breakfast was provided in a bag or in the noisy fridge. Wasn't told of this before i booked either. Didn't help that the bottle of milk provided was out of date! I travel a lot and always support local business rather than chain hotels and this could've been so good but was let down by poor communication.

The room was big, airy and comfortable, the towels are tiny and for some reason the radiator had been turned off, i arrived late so assumed the timer had gone off for the day but was very cold all night and when the heating didnt come on in the morning, it was pretty unpleasent trying to get ready. My biggest issue was the fact that i saw nobody for the entireity of my stay, if i wanted a souless room only experience there are plenty of chain hotels available. When you book a pub with rooms I think it's only fair to expect a much higher level of good old fashioned English hospitality, the checki n was via a text message explaining how to access my room and the break in your room concept is horrible. there are no personal touches operating in this manner and as a diabetic there was no access to sweetners or green tea, the kind of things you could request in a restuarant environment. Covid restrictions have now been lifted so there is no logistical reason to operate in this way. please go back to proper breakfast arrangments ans a proper breakfast offered as standard.

My partner and myself stayed just one night as part of a round trip. The welcome was great and the owner and staff were extremely helpful. They have a good COVID procedure which is adhered to in these pandemic times. The room itself was clean and tidy with a comfy bed. There was a low level noise from the bar/restaurant that travelled but not enough to allow us to get off to sleep. The restaurant sold good bar food and had a decent range of alcoholic beverages. During the meal we were very well looked after by the staff and owner. There was a complimentary breakfast in the room which was a good selection of cereal, toast (plus jams etc), yogurts and milk plus tea/coffee etc. Both my partner and myself would stay again when exploring the area around here.

We had a great stay. COVID check-in with a text with room number and key safe code so you go straight to the room. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very tasty. Warning portions are a good size. We struggled through a starter and main course. Defiantly no room fir desert. Staff were very chatty and helpful. Breakfast was only in the room and a little limited. Needed some ham and cheese or something to make it mire a continental breakfast. We will be going back as we really liked it and it’s in a good central location in Norfolk.

Willow House, like finding buried treasure.

Not sure what I was expecting but Willow House surpassed it.
A local pub with great atmosphere and fantastic rooms that were very surprising, the room we had was big, it was very clean, the decor was pleasant, the bed was comfy and actually smelt clean, it has everything you need for a night away, decent shower, fridge, tea and coffee facilities.
The breakfast was amazing, it was included in our stay but you can pay separately, it is definitely worth it, everything about the breakfast was quality.
My wife and I have already recommended Willow House to friends. We will definitely be staying again!!

Quaint pub,staff need to know the hotels detail

Arrived at 6.30 pm, taken to room by a staff member and informed about breakfast times and told Sunday breakfast was from 7-30, not as shown in the hotel booklet, checked and told the same now everyday. On arriving at 7-30 for breakfast no access hotel and left at 7-45 for my appointment 10 miles away for 8-15. SO NO BREAKFAST!!!! this also happened to 2 other guests ,so we were not amused and unhappy. Talking to the manager today, Monday, and asked for a rebate for my breakfast he replied, in a very irate manner, that I should not have taken any notice of his staff member and checked with other staff in the hotel. Eventually agreed to give me £2-50 rebate, his costs for a breakfast, but charging over £10 in the brochure, and therefore I await his response. I will never recommend this hotel in fact will hope that other people read this and helps them decide not to visit.

We found the hotel room to be really old fashioned and the beds were so uncomfortable, also price of room should have been £95.00 but we were charged £110, really disappointed, plus didn't feel like room had been cleaned properly.

pleasant relaxed hotel in Norfolk

We chose The Willow House hotel because it was the nearest one to the wedding party we were going to. It was easy to find, and easy to park when we got there. It seemed a relaxed sort of place - we felt we could come and go as we pleased. The 'motel' style rooms behind the pub were clean and quiet. The staff were obliging and let us have our breakfast outside, which we enjoyed. We didn't spend a great deal of time there, but enjoyed our stay.

Only planned for an overnight stay with breakfast. Very nice welcome, nice quiet room and excellent breakfast. Just a single chair in our room, another one better for a couple.
