One thing after another….

I booked and paid to reserve a smoking room. Upon check in I was told that there were not any smoking rooms available. I opted to stay in a non-smoking room. I then was told that I had to pay a $20 cash deposit. I had no cash so had to find an ATM in the area that wouldn’t charge me $5, to use it. That don’t happen. So in short I don’t really save any money by booking online. The room was $10 cheaper but with the deposit, I ended up paying $17 more for it including the ATM fees.

Once we got to the room the television didn’t work. We called the front desk and they sent a man to the room. He couldn’t figure it out. After the next shift arrived we called again. The man that came to the room, was upfront with us. Told us that this was the first time he had heard that the tv didn’t work. No communication throughout staff. Then we weren’t even able to switch rooms, bowler did they offer us any compensation for the broken TV.

My stomach (gallbladder) flaired up on our way home from boston mass. I always love staying with the Wyndham brand hotels. I was very upset/disappointed. The Black MOLD was abbressive to say it politely. I had to take a hot shower immediately to relax my stomach spasms. I had to wait several minutes for attendee to check me in. I then had to wait even longer to get into room because key card wouldn't work. My boyfriend went to front desk to reset key card. Still didn't work so a guy who i can only assumed work for the hotel came to assist. After several attempts to get key card to workto open the DOOR and the pure discomfort i was displaying from My gallbladder he rushed to fix it. Several minutes later he came back with a carx that finally worked. The bed was hard, pillows flat, the mold in that bathroom is unsettling. I know for the price i wasnt expecting anything fancy but i stayed at the super 8 by Wyndham days before for the same price and i had no complaints!

Unprofessional house keeping and management

The room was not checked properly for guest use. Several things were missing: no blanket for the bed, no facial tissue. Shower head was not working. I was unable to take a shower. Uncleaned towels with hairs attached. A coffee maker was ffilled with a dirty water which seemed it was never washed for a long time.

Staff was very nice.

The staff was in. the room had an odd smell & the cleaning crew didn't clean the coffee pot or restock the coffee , creamer & sugar for 2 of the 3 days we were there. Over all I was satisfied. Worth the price & comfortable.

The first room we had was terrible. Everything was dingy and dirty. The remodeling was poorly done and easily noticeable. We called and had our room changed. The second room was a little cleaner but not much it had no heat. Everything in the rooms needs to be updated new linens and shower curtain would help a lot. White bedding should be white not stain covered. Very gross and creepy.

For an older hotel is was in great shape just enough lighting in the bath room for a good shave
enough lighting and lights in the room to feel comfortable and not in a dungeon

Pet friendly??

Everything was good except for elevated rate for dog show and SURPRISE pet fee. 10 dollars per dog is unreasonable for dog exhibitors. We have small dogs in crates. There was no damage or noise. The per dog fee is a money grab. We won't be able to stay here again.

The room was comfortable, the bed excellent and there was plenty of linen. The staff was very pleasant and efficient.

However, the bathroom door wouldn't close,and a drawer ion the bedside table wouldn't stay closed.

There was some hair stuck in the bathtub.

The breakfast food was barely edible. Although the orange juice dispenser was marked \"Florida\", it sure didn't taste like as if it had ever come off a tree. The coffee was awful and the yogurt supply had run out. Where has the fresh fruit gone from these continental breakfasts gone?

Although the room was a bit outdated, it was fine.

Not so good a stay

One night only, prebooked. Arrived to find an assortment of clothes hangers laying in the parking lot as well as a used condom. Needless to say the first impression wasn't a good one. The next morning nothing had been done to clean up the situation. We won't be staying at a travel lodge in the future.

Non - smoking room, but you couldn't tell

We had a non-smoking room in a non-smoking wing, however the room and entire hallway reeked of smoke. The mattress was lumpy along with the pillows. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. The more the fan in the bathroom ran, the more prominent the smoke smell was.

A good choice!

My room was larger than I'm used to and its location was perfect! Staff on duty very gracious and helpful. Only negative was the sheets needed replacing... NOT dirty, but full of little lint pills from too many washings. This gave the sheets a rough uncomfortable texture. Other than this very pleased with the experience!

You get what you pay for

We stayed three nights, and had multiple issues with the hotel. First the bathroom sink wouldn't drain and after telling the staff, it was only made to drain a little better, but it continued to be a pain. The beds were very uncomfortable and tilted towards the headboard, so they must never rotate the mattresses we figured. We had a nonsmoking room only to come back to our room filled with cigarette smoke one day. We were offered one other room which smelled like someone had urinated in the ac/fan unit and told that the room directly above us was a smoking room. The grills out front were useful but they had obviously not been cleaned in weeks, and the trash beside it was filled with maggots and was not once changed in our 4 day stay. Lastly, on our last day there were cops serving a search warrant on a room just down from us. I'm thinking not the best neighborhood. The TV and shower worked, the staff was friendly, but the motel itself is not up to par. We would have rather slept in a tent.

Travelodge Lima, Typical Budget Hotel

The staff were very friendly and accommodating even though the hotel was sold out for major events in Lima. The rooms are budget rooms, bed was nice, bathroom looked a little tired and furniture looked kept up. The AC / Heat unit was put in the wrong place in our room, right beside the head of the bed.
Breakfast was enough to get you through the morning.

The motel clerk was very nice and helpful. The room was convenient to parking. The breakfast was fairly adequate. I tried booking directly with the motel online and they wanted an additional $35 for taxes and handling. This would have put the cost in the $95 range. This motel would definitely not been worth this much.

Service was good and friendly, stayed one night on the way to Indianapolis. Room was just ok, bathtub was clogged with cat litter or something but they gave us another room. Kinda sketchy neighborhood and some lady started slamming her door again and again at 5 am but is a good price if you're just looking for a place to crash for the night

Only place available

This was the only place that still had rooms available at the time of our stay because of other events in Lima. The desk clerk directed us to the wrong end of the building but a maid helped us find our room. The room was clean and the furnishings were nice. The only problem was no stopper in the sink. We only stayed one night so we rigged a temporary one. We probably won't stay here again because the breakfast offerings didn't include any gluten-free options.

Once again a success

Had a great stay. Young lady who checked me in was super helpful and very kind to the person ahead of me in line as well. Room was clean....cleaner then some of the more expensive ones I've stayed at before. Close to many restaurants. Well lighted parking lot, plenty of spaces.

Positive: low cost, guest noise was quiet, courteous, & nice amenitites in room (frig, microwave, iron, tv, safe)

Negative: stairs very strenuous, 9:00 end of breakfast too early (extend to 10:00), cold (no extra blankets in room, too late at night to get blankets at desk), thermostat was set on reasonable temp but not accurate setting (very cold when set on 73F; had to increase to 76F during the night). loud vent fan in bathroom, loud heater in room.

Conveniently located near our points of interest.

Very positive experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean and inviting. The rooms are roomy and clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again sometime. The price was the best I found also, that was a big plus for me to choose Travelodge Lima.

It was a desent hotel; the problem was with the door lock in which I could not get to open for me consistently. Out of the approximately 8 time I went in the door on 1 of those times could i get the door to open. It was very inconvient to get a hotel staff to open the door for me.

Ok, even if it's a little pricey....

It wasn't a terrible stay, but the room didn't have enough electrical outlets (we had to rearrange the room and leave a light unplugged so that both of us staying in the room could use one apiece). Other than it seemed a little outdated, it was an ok stay, especially for the price.

Could use some attention

At the reasonable price, one shouldn't expect luxury. But, this was pretty spartan. There are needs for attention to detail. The sink drain was practically plugged and the heater was far more noisy than it should be. Just a little improvement in the furniture, paint and towels would make a big difference. \"You get what you pay for\" applies here. And, even at that price, it isn't a bargain.

An Amazing Stay

I have had to stay over in Lima over the last ten years, and out of all the hotels in that area, this hotel has always had the best prices, cleanest rooms, and best service. I have yet to see an employee without a smile and a joke, and that feeling makes it worth twice as much as I pay to stay already. If you ever have to stop in this are, I HIGHLY suggest this Hotel over the others. HIGHLY.

OK for one night

A bit difficult to find at a very crowded interstate interchange. Older but manageable. Walls a bit thin, Due to a series of violent thunderstorms, the power was out when we arrived at 5 PM but restored by Midnight. Good enough for one night as we were just a cupla guys in town for some dirt track racing (which was cancelled!). Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for families. Breakfast a bit sparse.

Awesome and Enjoyable Place

I am a senior woman with a small dog and I couldn't have asked for a better arrangement! I loved staying here. The only negative was the dusty coffee pot and ice holder. A wet paper towel did the trick and we were ready to go. They charged me a low pet fee but only one time so I have no complaint with that. The staff was super and answered all my questions without me feeling like an idiot for asking since I was from another state. I've stayed in many a hotel or motel in Lima, OH and this is the best one by far. Kudo's to everyone involved with the Travelodge in Lima, Ohio. I'll see you the next time I come to your town. :)

Weekend in Lima

We were surprised by how nice the room was. It had everything we needed and was well kept. it is very convenient to the Allen Co, Fairgrounds and other parts of Lima. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to any one needing a low cost room in the area.

Four star lodging at one star price!

The Hotels website reviews told us that this was a great deal for our two-day stay. The reviews were right! The location, the service, and the cleanliness was all that we could hope for...and at a bargain price.
We highly recommend this motel.

Shower had mold growing. Carpets looked like they hadn't been replaced in decades. And WAY too many cards with \"save the planet\" propaganda.

They want us to use less water. They want us to have them do less laundry. When is a hotel chain ging to be HONEST with us and admit that it's not about saving the planet, it's about saving their profits? Don't talk to me about making the world a cleaner, better place when I wonder if I'm going to catch a disease staying at your hotel.

Older motel. Pillow cases dingy. Had to ask for towels. Mattress felt like it was covered in plastic. Breakfast spartan. It is not a dump, but proably makes sense to pay a few more dollars to upgrade to a better mote.

Short Overnight Stay

I was traveling on business by car and Lima was a halfway point between Columbus Intl Airport and my final destination. I arrived late at night and left early morning.
The hotel was located right off the interstate, easily found and in the middle of plenty of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, but agin there are plenty of local eateries. For an overnight stay the place was just fine.
The price (compared to others in the area) was excellent.
