They’ve started renovations, but it’s still a really cool spot overall. The pool was decent—definitely seen worse, though it could use a vacuum. The hot tub looked great, but it was unfortunately out of order while they wait on parts.
Staff was very friendly, which made a big difference. One downside was access—you can only enter through the main entrance, and all other doors are exit-only. That was inconvenient, but it seems like something the renovations should address.

The room had peeling paint and a stain on the mattress. Vending machines did not work. There was always a bunch of kids in pool splashing and sitting in the hot tub. Our bathtub had not been rinsed out. There was all kinds of bubbles in there. Breakfast was supposed to be served from 6am -9am. We got there at 8:10am. There was only one serving of eggs left and one serving of waffles. When we asked the front desk person she said thats all for today. When we checked out I accidentally left my wedding room on nightstand. We came back in half hour. No one seems to know what happened to my ring. Will not be coming back to this hotel.

Very disappointed that the hot tub was not working. I booked this room after reading the reviews. A few guests were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working just a few short weeks ago the hotel commented that was up and running. That was absolutely a lie. Hot tub was never fixed. The “heated” pool was freezing and not warm at all.

Never provided enough towels for people swimming. Our trip to the pool/hot tub was cut short by a couple clearly on drugs.
When asked if they were going to cook more food on sat AND sun morning(1.5hrs BEFORE breakfast ended and multiple people waiting) we were told “it ends soon what’s the point”
Should’ve known it was the wrong place for a weekend getaway when we were charged in full at the time of check in.

Needed a break from Michigan grey January weather. Had a little “staycation”. The pool was warm and hot tub was hot. Workout room (though small) - all the machines worked. Free breakfast was adequate. Parking safe and located in a great location with restaurants and shopping nearby. Would stay again.

I came from out of town and booked a week in advance and I was not informed the hot tub was not working. Also in my room one of the smoke detectors were hanging down from the ceiling, fire place didn’t work, a couple lights in the room didn’t work, during breakfast they ran out of food which you pay the fee in for continental breakfast, that we didn’t enjoy.

In the second room the floor in the bathroom felt like you were going to go thru it. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again when there are so many other options near by.

This stay was much better than the 1st bc bad manager was gone. Matt and Lynn are great staff as well! This room started out cleaner but there still wasn’t any housekeeping done in the week we were there. Bushes overgrown over sidewalks not cool when walking w kids holding your hand- no room. The pool was actually clean this trip and warmer than it was in the summer. The bed was very uncomfortable but the size of the room was great.

the entire room had cockroaches and we checked out immediately after seeing the roaches. this room was disgusting, management is useless, expedia neglects to inform of possible issues, everything about the place is pitiful. it’s been months since and they won’t give us a refund for a place we did not stay at due to “company policies”. Who will stay in a hotel with a bug infestation? let alone pay for it?? I’m absolutely baffled at the lack of communication and concern on both expedias behalf and the hotels.

My experience was absolutely unacceptable from the moment I arrived. There was urine inside the elevator, and the room itself was in terrible and unsanitary condition. I didn’t even stay for ten minutes, as it was impossible to feel safe or comfortable there.

On top of that, the property charged my card even though I had already paid in full through Expedia. This is completely unacceptable and should be investigated. I strongly believe this place should not be listed on Expedia’s platform, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The property is in need of updating and repair. I reserved a standard King room. When we arrived we were put in a handicapped king room that was not clean. Bed sheets were stained, bathroom was filthy with drywall deterioration.

Went to the front desk and explained the situation. Received a standard king room that was in better shape but the bathroom was not up to good standards and had poor drywall patches. We won't come back.

Safe budget hotel with helpful staff, but the room cleanliness and deferred maintenance of the building in general and the rooms in particular are the downside. During my last stay I noticed dried snot on the shower wall and a used tissue in plain view next to the nightstand. Upon closer examination, the waded-up tissue had a layer of dust on top of it. The provided breakfast is decent, but the selection is somewhat limited.

On arrival to the hotel you could tell from the outside the building needs painted. Once I checked in and got to the room the bed was unmade. The bathroom tile and tub were dirty. The furniture in the room was dusty and well worn. The pictures posted by the hotel are deceiving. Save yourself the money and hassle and stay elsewhere.

The pool was clean and relatively warm. The room was spacious which was helpful since we had a baby with us. I think they were doing their best to keep it clean but everything is just worn out. No hairdryer, very few towels provided, no bath mat, no body soap, tub didn’t drain properly, carpet didn’t look vacuumed. We would have asked for help with the tub or more towels but there were always people in line at the desk when we went by and had to wait quite a while when we needed something. Breakfast was picked over by 8 am and no room for us to get any food. Very crowded.
Overall, it was safe and a great price. Wouldn’t recommend other than an easy place to sleep.

Everything about this place was horrible. The bed was uncomfortable and loud, the bedding smelled like old greasy hair. The bathroom was disgusting; the toilet barely flushed and was stained. The shower head only had a turbo jet option, at least there was water pressure I guess. The floor and wall around the tub were dirty and damaged. The bathroom sink drain was super super slow. The toilet ran off and on all night long and the bathroom light was broken so you couldn’t shut it off. The area around the hotel was really noisy all night long. The only good thing about the place is there are plenty of restaurants and shops close by. You do not want to stay here.

On first impression room is spacious but then you notice the food debris along one side of the bed base that hasnt been hoovered up. The main light is missing with wires hanging out of the ceiling. No working extractor fan in the bathroom & it smells damp & mouldy. Reported the above to reception & the guy on his own advised housekeeping had gone for the day. He was busy & seemed stressed as lots of guests checking in & he couldn’t deal with our problems. In the end i asked for a hoover & cleaned the mess up myself but it shouldn't have been like that, a bit of attention to detail & giving your guests a comfortable stay is not hard! Spoke to a woman on reception before we checked out to let her know we had complained to Hotels.com & they were trying to get in touch for a refund. There was no apology offered, all she did was make excuses about why the light wasn't there like that was an acceptable answer or resolution. The bed wasn't comfortable & the room was hot. We did put the air con on but it smelt mouldy so we turned it off & opened the window. Breakfast wasn't brilliant either, not a lot of seats or options. This hotel could be so much better if they took the comments on board, made some improvements & actually delivered a caring service with staff that can clean properly. Also don't give every review the same bog standard response!!

This is billed as a no smoking hotel, Well we had to change rooms because our first 4 smelled so bad.
The plumbing is NOT good for anyone over 60, No grab bars on tub/shower. The carpet was suspect. There was NO Security. The front door, was proped open all night. The front desk was often not staffed We had an issue with the key card. It only worked once, then we had to have a new one made, as the first one no longer worked.

This is non smoking. Most of the rooms stink of past smokers. The bathroom tub or showers do not have grab bars. Hard to enter or exit the tin. Soap/ shampoo is so small only one person can use them.

I suspect a scam from the front desk people. I paid cash for a ice cream treat but then received a bank notification that my card had been charged. On checkout, I asked for a printout of my bill but they would not provide one, giving a lame excguse that it would be sent by Expedia. I am very skeptical of these people. Now I will have to go thru my bank to refute any incorrect charges.

We went down for breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean however there were no eggs or sausage & bacon. When we asked if they could make some more they said the cooked stopped making them at 8:30 even though they serve till 9:00am. We complained and then they made more. 3 other couples came in after us and complained also. The waffle maker wasn't working. If you advertise that you serve breakfast till 9:00 am, food should be available till then.

Check in was easy.. the guy at the desk was, decent. The lobby and pool area seemed quite clean. The carpets need cleaned drastically. Our room was ok. Outdated but big. It had everything we needed and the staff was pleasant and helpful enough. Breakfast was typical for Continental. The area is ok. It's by a lot of business. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. Overall, it's overpriced for the quality. But not the worst I've been to.

What happened to the fireplace?

We reserved a room with the fireplace and the fireplace doesn’t work. I went downstairs and asked the clerk if the fireplace works and my response was no. No apology was offered just answered the question with no. It would’ve been nice to have been informed prior to our stay that the fireplace was inoperable.

Multiple stains on the carpet And on the furniture. For this to be a luxury suite, I could not find the luxury at all in the suite.

In the bathroom was one roll of toilet paper and a partially used role. Also, there was Kleenex offered however there was only one tissue in the box. After going down to the clerk multiple times to retrieve items needed for my stay I felt like I was an employee by the end of my visit.
