Wish I could say it was a nice stay. My biggest take away would be the OUTER doors are NOT locked at ANY TIME. As a single female traveler, I find this very concerning. I travel with my service dog and my competition dog, so I decided not to find another place for the weekend. The first room assigned had hairs inside the bedding. I asked for another room and in that one, the bathtub had black hair at the drain(I discovered this the next morning) luckily, I carry disinfectant cleaner with me. Neither room had a coverlet. Literally bed was made with a fitted sheet, top sheet and a thin blanket, then another flat sheet. My stay was in October in the fall. I carry blankets to cover beds in case my dog gets onto the bed. I used both blankets to keep warm. I will not be returning to this motel should the need arise to compete in the Hudsonville area again.

Repairs to the bathroom were done wit duct tape. A shelf held with duct tape fell off while my wife was using the toilet and spilled the contents of my kit bag. Breakfast consisted of water or coffee ther was no food.

Just your basic hotel off the busy street but close to everything you need, even close enough to drive to Grand Rapids, Holland, Lake Michigan shoreline. The hotel could use updating, my shower wouldn’t drain and water would keep raising drain slowly after shower. I respect that it’s a quiet place and able to sleep. I spent 5 nights, I would stay again if in that area. I didn’t take advantage of free breakfast so I don’t know what was offered. Only recommend is start to do some maintenance and update

I needed a room queen double bed for me my daughters and grandchildren, short notice, due to booking issues with another hotel. Room was booked short notice, but this a hotel. Beds were full size not queen as they listed, we have taken many trips and never had an issue with bed size. The carpet was dirty and stained, the bathroom was nasty with blood spots on the wall, floor was dirt and tub had piss stains and yes piss stains. I was just happy that my grandchildren has a place to sleep, but never again.

so when we first arrived and went into our room, it instantly smelt heavy and there was dead bugs kinda all over. 😭 the blanket had a stain on it that was very clear it was not a clean blanket. we complained and got a different room which was okay?? (staff was very nice but still cmon guys) although the room had no toilet paper, soap, phone wasn’t even plugged in or had a cord to plug in. overall i mean. it was alright… wouldn’t recommend tho.

This is the worst hotel we have stayed at the rooms were dirty. They were still food all over the floor when we got there. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. The whole building is just run down. Carpets are stained and worn out, the outside is in need of definite repairs and upkeep. It was truly the worst experience.

Infested with cockroaches and other scary bugs. The toilet stall has not been cleaned and other people feces were around the commode and in the water. It has not been cleaned. The entire room smelled after vomits, and the couch was filthy dirty. The bed pillows were the worst I have ever used. This is the worst and filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in my life.

While this is an old hotel, everything in our room worked great and we were very comfortable for 2 nights here. The pool is not in service, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable room this qualifies for sure! I couldn't care less if the paint is faded and the carpet is worn in spots. I went down to the desk when we checked out to tell management thank you and was informed that they had recently taken over and will be making updates.

I waited forever at the front desk to check in. I finally got checked in went to the room and it was a single bed and I reserved a double bed. So went back to the desk got a different room went to that room and the key didn’t work went back to the front desk got a working key. First off key didn't work, went back to get it fixed twice...two Total pillows in the room, no towels, charger wouldn't stay plugged into outlets, says no smoking but people definitely smoke, tv super small, toilet water leak and water pressure was crap. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned. Splash marks on mirror, pink stuff in sink. Had clean towels. Bed fitted sheet was so thin I thought there wasn’t one. Found cigarette hole in it. Lamp shade fire hazard melted shade, no turn knob only screw, unplugged. Carpet wasn’t vacuumed. Dirty chair, cigarettes? Whole place smelled of cigarettes despite non smoking on upper level. Travel-lodge pictures is nothing compared what it really is on the inside. We won’t be back. For the $95 what you pay is what you get.

I read the reviews and room description before settling on Travelodge. Ultimately everywhere else was super expensive for a 3 night stay. I think there were multiple events this weekend, so room rates were higher in Holland than the previous two years we've been here. If you stay here, keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

I meal prep breakfast and dinner because my kid has to eat healthy meals during swim meets. I brought our cooler and air fryer because there's no mini fridge in the rooms. There's a microwave in the lobby depending on where you are in the hotel, it could be a hike. We were close. There's no elevator.

The bedroom/dining table area was clean/vacuumed. The pillows are flat, not pancakes, but I needed both to feel like I was using one at home. I brought pillows from home. Other than that the bed was comfortable.

The bathroom sink was clean. The toilet seat had a droplet of I don't know what on it, and there was a ring inside the toilet like what you see if you forget to clean the basement toilet for a couple months. The bathtub was one of those one piece tub/shower deals. I used my Scrubbing Bubbles to clean the toilet seat and tub/shower/soap dish. I didn't clean the inside of the toilet.

All the furniture and decor is probably from the 90s except the tv. The television is a flat screen, but it is tiny, maybe a 30\".

Every single thing in this hotel was terrible. The room was so filthy i opted to brush my teeth in the parking lot on the morning of checkout and just leave as quickly as possible. The mattress had huge stains and no cover, the pillows were totally flat, there were questionable stains on nearly everything, the sink barely drained, hairs and stains on every towel provided. Horrible experience over all i seriously thought we would get a disease sleeping there.

The rooms had a very musty smell. There were no pillow cases on the pillows. There were no top sheets on the beds. We were told that the manager also owned another hotel in Hudsonville, but even though there were rooms available there, we were not allowed to pay the difference in price and switch to the other hotel.

This is a low budget hotel . Get your head around that and your expectations will be closer to the mark. We were there for 5 nights. No change of bedding happened during that time, and no fresh towels. There was no coffee maker , fridge or microwave in the rooom. The beds were great and the price was right. So, if you just passing thru, and need a place to sleep only, then this hotel meets that criteria. Coffee was available in the lobby, and the staff were nice.

It was terrible. Dirty , run down, everything broken. Second night the person on the room above us was stomping and pacing around for a 1 1/2 hours at 10-1130 pm. We were trying to sleep and my wife was scared out of her mind!!!!!!! We packed up and loaded our truck up and went to the front desk to check out and let them know. The person at the desk was non helpful. He didn’t know what to do and would not call the manager at home. And he would not tell us his full name I told him to check on the person up there and that we were scared and leaving. They would not help us in a refund or anything. Then other people that work there came and told us that the person above us was the property manager. They texted him and he answered them but wouldn’t answer the door. They said they would let the manager know and she would contact us on Sunday But we ended up sleeping in our truck that night. Terrible situation and I will never stay there again. The room was dirty smelling. Doors in the room was broken and the main door of the room across the hall was broken where someone had kicked in the front door!!!!! I wouldn’t b surprised if we here of bad stuff happening there in the near future!!!!!!!!

Smell of cat urine when walking into the lobby. Very dilapidated property. Run down vehicles throughout parking lot made it look very unsafe. Sheets beyond cheap and was nervous to sleep on the bed so used my own covers as layers. \"Free Breakfast\" was a used half bag of bread, a splash of orange juice left in a near empty gallon jug, and a Fruit Loop dispenser. That was it . . . Not what I anticipated for $140 per night. This is more like a $50 per night motel. Sorry guys - needs help!

Checkin at 5pm was terrible and slow. Front desk was unattended & I had to wait several minutes for someone to notice me. The front desk lady was pleasant but had trouble finding my reservation and my payment. I first was assigned to a room that was clearly being used for storage. Asked for different room. Got 213 (ugh! no elevator!). She handed us 2 keys and said, “pray they work.” Only 1 worked so I went back again to front desk to get a spare in case it failed after 3-10pm front desk hours. Hallways were filthy with dusty boot tracks everywhere. Our room carpet was better but dirty too. Front desk told us it was due to workers renting long term. Room bedding seemed clean & comfortable but no frig, no ice bucket or cups, 1 bar of soap to serve both sink & tub, no trash can, both bedside lights did not work & the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open. No breakfast even though website says it’s included. Rude front desk guy at checkout asked if I wanted a receipt. I said, “sure.” Then it was taking forever to get it (he was more interested in his buzzing phone & talking to a friend of his in the lobby than waiting on me) so I finally said in a friendly tone, “never mind. It’s taking too long.” He then proceeded to cuss at me saying, “it’s the f-ing slow computer!”
I’ve never heard language like that used to talk to a customer before. Very rude and unprofessional. I now see why this was the only hotel available last minute during Holland’s Tulip Festival! DON’T STAY HERE!

We knew it was a lower budget hotel, however, it could have still been clean and neat. When we entered, we noticed dirty carpet. Heading up the stairs, the carpet was still dirty all the way to the room. When we opened the door, the stench of old smoke was in the air, there was no bedspread and the covers that were on the bed looked as though someone had laid on them. There were stains on the bed.
