Great hotel.... loved our stay

Fabulous complex with great facilities. We had a fabulous meal at restaurant Kobana Lanterna and Marco was an amazing host , sharing all the traditional recipes used to cook there. Thank you Marco for making us feel so welcome. Would love to stay here in warmer weather. The outside appearance of some of the buildings was a bit off putting as they look very dated, but the rooms were modern & beautifully clean & presented. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen in years. There was nothing that wasnt provided for including gf croisants and brrad for me. X

Felt quite basic. The ‘restaurant’ was similar to a canteen. Lots of choice of food at breakfast & dinner - but poor quality & waiters looked disinterested.
Bedroom door could not be closed, as bed too large for the room - & because it opened on to the wardrobe … the wardrobe door couldn’t be fulled opened either, which restricted how it could be used.
Convenient location to explore Korcula - either by walking along coast or taxi boat.

Not so good for older teenagers as the pool isnt deep. There is no bar in the evenings so after trips to town fir dinner we just sat on our balcony. Great breakfast with fantastic views and the beach is perfect for snorkeling. Great location too. Had to request a kettle in room.

If you are going for a family vacation, this place is great! We were there without kids so it might not be where we return. Still, the convenience of the store across the street and the ferry (3€) to Old Town, made it a very convenient place to stay.

Great hotel for family holiday

Great family hotel. We had half board as was very little difference in price to bed and breakfast. Food offering was great. The cove the hotel is situated in is beautiful and sea so clear, gorgeous to swim in. Only criticism is the way the pool is run. Despite rules stating leaving towels to save sun beds is not allowed the beds are gone by 9.15am. No hotel staff police it so no one removes towels to give beds to guests, so empty beds and people waiting. Needs to be sorted as not very many beds as it is. It didn’t spoil our holiday but it could be managed better.

We had a fantastic family holiday. We stayed in a family room which was compact but clean and adequate for our needs. The location is stunning and it’s so easy to get into Korcula Old Town by taxi boat or walking. We’d highly recommend this hotel to families.

The pictures of the hotel on Expedia were misleading. We expected a nice property with a large pool or spacious beach area for guests, but the reality was quite the opposite. Upon arrival, we found a motel-style hotel with buildings that looked old and tarnished. The overall property felt more like a campground—and in fact, it is also a campground—so despite paying a high rate, you end up sharing the pool and beach with people who aren’t necessarily hotel guests.

While the units themselves were renovated and clean, the bathroom design was poor—shower water leaked all over the floor.

On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Renata, in particular, was wonderful and gave us excellent recommendations for beautiful beaches nearby when we told her we didn’t like the property’s beach.

2 star at best: go elsewhere.

In my various travels (including several trips to Croatia) I have never come across such derisory managerial service and lack of basic support for such a pricey hotel. With surly management, combining the empathy of Blofeld with the service ethos of Baldrick, this underwhelming lodging was a lowlight of our exceptional stay in Croatia. Clues start at check-in: refusal to help w our 6 bags in the searing heat (‘staff don’t start till later in afternoon’) to initially being given a room that smelled of sewage, there was little attempt at making our stay a memorable or pleasant one. Moving to our 2nd room (230), its bedroom with no ventilation, that night I noticed the floor in the bedroom was boiling hot, our bed warmed by the pipes of the boiler room below. The one shining light, a locum manageress, tried to find another Aminess hotel in another region, which we declined. Moving to a 3rd room, in the apartment block, I slept the 2nd night on the floor in the kitchen, as once more there was no aircon in the bedroom. Throughout, there was v little sympathy, and a derisory attempt at compensation, for a room that cost almost 500 euros a night. ‘It’s peak season’ is not an excuse for poor service. Last tip if u dare to stay: leave the hotel during the day and go into Korcula, as they often don’t serve lunch onsite (we waited 40 mins for some fried food in the only 8-table cafe nearby.) Finally, note no beach towels in the pm to use in the tiny pools, literally rammed w people.

Everything was excellent … staff ,food , room , cleanliness, scenery… georgeous place to relax, very quiet and friendly. Location of this hotel is amazing -seaside - just in front of the beach and and easy access to the sea- just take a water taxi for 3 euro from the ferry Korcula old town that brings you right in front of the hotel 👍in less then 10 min (water taxi goes every 30 min )- amazing service. We stayed in the junior sweet room with balcony - room was huge and beautiful. Across the road is a store - just in case you need to buy anything.

The only one and only one complain / very unique negative experience for us was that not even tap water was served during dinner time - all drinks ( including water ) had to be purchased.

My sister and I spent three days at this hotel and highly recommend it. Its location is excellent. You can get to the downtown area by walking 25 minutes, taking a water taxi for 3 euros (Sept. 2024’s price), taking an Uber, or driving your own car which would have gotten to the island by ferry. The hotel is situated on the sea and the resort is beautiful. When we first saw the room we thought it was basic and it was but it was good size and was clean, comfortable, and everything we needed. We liked the rooms and loved the grounds.

Lovely Resort, Just a Bit of a Walk to Town!

We stayed at this nice resort and had a great time overall. The rooms were clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating – they even brought a kettle to my room when I requested it.

The resort is a bit of a walk from the main part of town (around 25 minutes), but it’s a pleasant walk along a lovely footpath by the water. If you prefer, you can also take a water taxi, which is really convenient. While the location is slightly removed from the center, it’s a peaceful spot, and the views make up for the distance. All in all, a wonderful stay!

Good overall but pool experience lets it down

Pleasantly surprised after reading bad reviews. We had a delux junior suite, which was spacious and clean, recently decorated and comfy beds. A bit dated in terms of furniture style but we were happy overall. The reception is pretty scruffy and the gardens need attention, the canteen is dated inside but outside it has nicer furniture and a gorgeous view of the bay. You can get a water taxi across to the town really easily, only €3 too. But the thing we really disliked was pool , in itself it’s ok but it’s too small and they play LOUD awful dance music from 10am to 7pm. We complained daily to get it turned down! It’s not a nice family relaxing pool vibe!

This resort is wonderful for families - there are so many activities. The basic room is outdated (carpet, stains on the furniture). The pool is filled with children and there is no adult only pool.

It’s a beautiful location with a grocery store just across the street. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast buffet was good.

Great resort, would stay again!

Having read the mixed reviews on here, my wife and I were a bit anxious on arriving. Those giving negative reviews for this place need a reality check in my opinion! Example, complaining about the rooms being 'standard' and plain....when staying in a setting like this, you shouldn't be spending much time in your room! I'll admit we have stayed in swankier and more polished places but we were more than satisfied with this resort.
Pros: Location is picturesque and quiet, staff are great (especially the guy in the G&T bar), beach is right in front of the pool, the resort is basically the only accomodation of note around (so feels very private), breakfast is a great buffet with lots of choice, water taxi is €3 each way and every half hour until 10pm, large supermarket right across the road, lovely waterside promenade for an evening stroll, lots of amenities, in-pool bar, relaxed vibe
Cons: Dinner is a fairly average buffet (recommend getting the water taxi over to Korcula old town for dinner), only bottled water at dinner which you have to buy is a bit stingy (versus tap water dispensers available at breakfast)

Recommend getting a taxi from the port when arriving as although it's lovely arriving by boat, reception is at the front of the resort so lugging your cases from the back where the water taxi drops you is effort (taxi was €12). Early June during the week seemed a good time too as it wasn't too busy. There were no charges for loungers either (1 review said there was).

While I want so greatly to give this property a better review, it just did not meet expectations. HUGE kiddos to the marketing team and photographers. They made this property look amazing. Unfortunately, the photos are TOO good as the property did not live up. The property is a bit drab and felt old. The pool is small and felt old. There are no cabanas at the pool and hours of service at the pool and all food/drink places are extremely limited. If you have a kid, it makes it very hard to get them fed. There is a grocery store across the street. The final straw was the location. It is a €15 cab ride from old town. And there is nothing around! They did have a water taxi that comes every hour but was inconsistent and stops running after 16:00ish. I will say that everyone was kind and did try to help. We did end our stay here early but was helped by the incredibly understanding staff to change to a sister hotel in old town.

Lovely location but hotel rooms lack any character

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The overall facilities are really good: great pool area (although the water temp is cooler than the sea) and lovely beach area for really safe swimming with crystal water. Incredible views!

The restaurant is also a really nice area, however the evening food really lacked- It felt really mismatched items (but breakfast was good.)

Our room I was really underwhelmed with on first impression I wouldn’t call it a “superior room” by any means and I would be very hesitant to see the basic room. The room was comfy, but it felt straight out of a bland city hotel with zero character or charm- such a shame when the outside surrounding are so beautiful!

So yes I would recommend this hotel for the beautiful scenery and location but don’t expect to be blown away by the hotel rooms (think standard travelodge.)

At the time of booking we didn’t realize it was a buffet breakfast and dinner, which during a pandemic seems unsafe. The rooms are similar to the size of a standard cruise boat cabin. The bedroom floors are carpet. Our room had stains on carpet, and on all curtains with a cracked mirror.

Where to begin? We arrived in the very lovely town of Korcula via ferry we were disappointed that the hotel had little information on how to actually get there from the old town (taxi 60 kuna).

Upon our arrival check in was smooth, our first room stank like an ashtray so we had to be moved. The building we were in - there are several - was like some weird UK uni halls mated with a roadside hotel. The carpets were dirty, the bed in the second room had suspicious brown spots (bed bugs?!) but we were assured that the Port 9 Hotel had \"no bed bugs\".

We were sold this resort on the basis that it is couple friendly. Honestly, its not; unless listening to baby shark on repeat from a kids disco, whilst you have a romantic buffet pizza dinner, is your thing.

The beaches are not beaches, the \"sand beach\" would give Manson the fear, it's really just a dock attached to the hotel.

Let me be positive for a minute. Korcula is a very very beautiful town and the people are great; I would recommend as a day trip from Hvar or Dubrovnik. The redeeming quality of the hotel was the water taxi - to make a quick getaway - it's 15 kuna per person and much better value than an actual taxi.

Don't let the low price tempt you honestly just avoid.

The resort was much larger than we expected it to be, it’s massive. It is definitely a family friendly hotel with lots of children. They have several pools and a private beach which is really nice. Breakfast buffet is included in the stay which was nice. We ate dinner at their a la carte restaurant which was really good and reasonably priced. They have a water taxi to take you into the downtown area (for 15 kuna) every 30 minutes or you could walk into downtown which takes about 30 mins. I wish we had more time at the resort so we could take more advantage of the resort amenities.

We loved this hotel. Ideal for families with kids.
The hotel has a private beach, breakfast included (with the option to book dinner included too). We rented a boat and they picked us up in front of the hotel. The hotel has 3 pools and a \"private\" beach (anyone can go to he beach). We got a water taxi to arrive and to get back to the main port.

Overall very good. Hotel great and setting fantastic. Disappointed that the pool bar was closed and you had to walk out of the hotel grounds to get a cold beverage. We weren’t told this before our trip. Staff were friendly which is more than I can say to the other Croatian guests. Very rude to say the least. No social distancing whatsoever which surprised me. We were told that we’d be served our food. Instead it was a free for all in the restaurant.

Very good hotel for families staying in Korcula

The resort was nice on the whole and I don't have anything to complain about. The staff were friendly and helpful (the sprinkler system had set off on our ferry journey from Bol and completely soaked me and my wife through, and the staff of the hotel were happy to provide us with towels upon our early arrival to allow us to change etc prior to check in). Everything was very clean. The rooms were perhaps a little basic - the TV wasn't tuned and the shower screen was too small, meaning the bathroom got soaked every time someone showered, but minor gripes - you don't come to a Croatian island to watch TV!

The pool area was clean and a nice area to sit around, and there's also a small beach area if you'd rather swim in the sea (be aware the sun beds are chargeable there though). There are lots of activities for kids too - inflatable assault courses, SUP rentals, kyaks etc. The staff run various activities for children and adults alike throughout the day (water aerobics, Gin tasting etc).

The hotel was approx a 30 minute walk to the old town. The walk is pleasant enough although be aware that the road is being worked on currently and is a bit uneven and unlit at night in parts. I'd recommend you use the water taxi instead (until the works are finished). It runs approx every 15 mins and costs 15 Kunas (less than £2) one way per person.

As a closing note, I'd say this hotel offers great value for money. Breakfast was plentiful and good and can't fault the place!

Rooms are very comfortable but quality of food is poor. Pool is only good for the kids - noisy and very busy. Sitting at the pool bar we were constantly splashed. At one point even the barmaid had to tell the kids off as she was getting splashed too. Sun beds are rock hard and uncomfortable.
Great location though... I would advise eating in the old town which is a short water taxi ride away or a pleasant 15/20 minute walk.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was lovely and we were able to leave the hotel quite easily to go exploring.
However we felt the staff at the hotel weren’t particularly friendly and we also felt quite ripped off buying food and drink at the hotel’s restaurants. I was particularly disappointed to learn that my watery, tasteless pina colada was actually made from a machine. Not even the chips were fresh and were cold and slightly raw from having been frozen. It felt as though the hotel were trying to do everything as cheaply as possible. It irked us even more to be told we needed to hire a sun bed on the hotel’s beach!!! Apparently only the ones at the pool are free (& are literally the most uncomfortable sunbeds we have ever used!) Upon seeing a few people on SUPs and spotting a stack of them, I decided to have a go myself. However when I was lifting one of the rack, someone sprinted down to me to shout they were only for hire. Really?? Could the hotel not provide free use of a few boards!! Any opportunity to charge more money seems to be a strong focus for the hotel which was quite a let-down.
However... we spent a fair bit of time away from the hotel which was lovely. There are frequent taxi boats which are great. We had a couple of meals in the old town, which is really pretty. We also rented a little boat for the day and found some fantastic little beaches up the coast.
We would return to Korcula, but not this hotel.

The hotel was in a beautiful and convenient location. The room was good and the facilities were good (including infinity pool and access to the sea). The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bedroom could be accessed step free however other parts of the property (including restaurants and breakfast area) were not fully accessible inside or out- the hotel needs to do more to cater for guests with reduced mobility.

Relaxing and perfect stay

We loved staying at this resort. Took a ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula and then a boat taxi to the hotel (the run every half hour between old town and port 9, and only 15kn per person each way). The resort had tons to offer and rented kayaks, boats, and SUP right at the dock below the rooms. Breakfast buffet had lots of options including an egg station and make your own pancakes, fresh fruits, hash browns, and so so much more. We were not a huge fan of the a la cart restaurant there and opted to eat dinner in old town the other nights of our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was seriously bigger than some of the hotel rooms we had stayed in earlier in our trip to Croatia. I would absolutely stay here again and stay for more than just 2 nights. We loved it.

The hotel itself is clean and has modern amenities but it’s more suited for people with young families than for couples. There were kids everywhere and it was always loud with entertainment. The free breakfast buffet was not very good, the food like others have said is quite low quality. Furthermore the location is not great. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the town.

Relaxing stay in Korcula

We had been sightseeing for 2 weeks. The Port 9 was the perfect break. We had a relaxing time enjoying the beach, kayaking, eating dinner by the water at the Konobo Laterna. Only change that I would suggest is to have the pool facilities open later than 6:00 pm. Distance from Korcula Old Town was a minor inconvenience but can be reached by water taxi which runs every 30 minutes for 15 Kuna per person.

This is a really relaxing resort. Our room was spotlessly clean and perfect with two children in a attached bedroom. All the staff was nice but special shout out to Vladimir at the tavern and Veska at the pool bar. Both were extremely good at their job. I loved the atmosphere at this resort. It seemed very family oriented and the whole area very serene. There was plenty of arranged activities to keep everyone entertained and the food was very nice and was different every night. Prices of drinks were quite expensive but we found the prices the same wherever we went. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

It's a resort place, I spent only one night and left to catch the water taxi early in the morning to catch the 10am ferry to Dubrovnik. I had breakfast, there are good selections.

Food was terrible!
The breakfast was covered in grease.
Coffee was worse than instant and just not drinkable.
I stuck to eating anything that was not cooked like cheese and ham.
The sun beds had to be paid for despite the fact you are staying at the hotel!
The air conditioning didn’t work very well and the room was just slightly comfortable but woke up at 1am every night very very hot.
Most amenities weren’t open as it was the start of the season but we were not informed of this.

Port 9 is a large complex with many different restaurants, bars and accomodation options. We stayed early in the season, so not all of these options were open yet. We almost missed dinner, as we took a while to realise this.
However, staff were super helpful, and were able to get us into one of the open buffet restaurants right at closing time.
The pool was a bit chilly but otherwise lovely, and the pool bar was a fun novelty for us too!
There are great links from the hotel back into the main town - the water taxi is definitely the best option.

We stayed in the hotel on the resort and were fortunate to have a lovely room on the top floor that had a perfect view down to the sea. It was very comfortable, clean & breakfast had an extremely wide range of choices- omelettes cooked to order. We only used the infinity pool once - it was very cold! We preferred to swim in the sea & enjoyed sitting on the beach in the hotel. A 20 minute stroll from the resort takes you into beautiful Korcula. Various Boat trips can be taken from Port 9 too.

Port 9 is mighty fine

There were some teething problems in the beginning, the manager was fantastic with her handling of the situation and turned our stay around. She really made it special. The breakfast buffet was hot, varied and included made to order omelettes, the best croissants we’ve had in Croatia also. There was also a station for American pancakes, very yummy! We would definitely recommend it as a family place. We stayed in the hotel.

Decent family hotel close to the beach

This hotel, which also features apartments and a camping ground, has much potential. It’s located at a marvelous seaside spot a 20 minute walk away from Korčula town. It has both a pebble beach and a small sand beach. There are several swimming pools and sport facilities (to rent at extra costs). We had a very clean and spacious suite with separate beds and bathroom for the kids, which is really convenient. There was also a terrace. The air conditioning was very modern and without the noise and cold chill often encountered at other hotels. While I don’t agree with some of the negativity of the other reviews (perhaps things have become better since), there are opportunities for improvement. For example, it is nigh impossible to get sun chairs for the main pool unless you fancy queuing up before the pool opens. Shortly after opening, there are also no towels available. The breakfast buffet is ok but the coffee was undrinkable. Fortunately right across the hotel is a supermarket with a decent takeaway coffee. As temperatures can be very hot during the day, it would be nice if there had been lights that allow to use the sports facilities after dark too. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay. The area around the hotel is very beautiful and littered with restaurants offering amazing food if you don’t mind venturing outside. There is even a water taxi connecting the hotel to Korčula town.

Fantastic luxurious room for an affordable price.

Room 008 was fantastic with two balconies and beautiful view. Hotel is 20 minute walk from old town and taxi and water taxi are affordable alternatives. Breakfast was excellent - warm and cold food, good quality fruit and vegetables, wide variety of cheeses breads and yogurt. Pool is grand and activities such as water aerobics are fun and good humored.

Have massively exaggerated their facilities

Sewerage problem in some rooms and smell emanates around pool area. The hotel opened to guests before it was finished. Al la carte restaurant and other 'hotel restaurants' do not exist. Unless half or full board there were no other on site meal options. When weather was bad everything seemed to close down including the near site food options. Rooms and pool area renovated but the rest needs work. Gym centre was sparse and extra money so empty. Water taxi was good when you needed an escape. Supermarket across the road to buy water as couldn't on the resort. Recommended day trips a total rip off unless you like being driven around aimlessly for hours in a bus or boat. 'Fish picnic' was a total rip off for essentially a water taxi with over cooked fish, potatoes and cabbage lunch with no offer of water or drinkable wine not the advertised guide. This hotel is not 4 star (or even 3) in any stretch of the imagination!!

Good family hotel in a lovely location

We had a lovely family holiday at Port.9. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis in a family room for 9 night's and had a really relaxing stay.The rooms were clean and bright, smaller than they appear in the photographs, but adequate for us as we spent very little time there. The bonus was 2 nice bathrooms for showering and changing in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful and the reception staff good with any queries we had regarding services. The room staff need more trainiing though as the room was not serviced properly - the childrens beds were not made, the hoovering not done and bathrooms not cleaned every day.The hotel gardens are nice but need to mature (no grass growing yet just large patches of soil). The pathway along the seafront needs work as its quite rough and a clear division between.the campsite and the hotel needs to be established. The area is stunning but the coastline is mostly rock with tiny pebble beaches so come prepared. The pool is beautiful but needs to be bigger as it can't accomodate all the hotel guests. A sandwich/snack bar is needed on site or at the seafront for guests who do not wish to eat a full cooked lunch in the restaurant. Overall I would say it is not yet a 4 star hotel by international standards but it's on its way and in the meantime (if you are not too demanding) you can have a great holiday here.

This is a family resort, meaning be ready for kids screaming and running all over the place and pool area. This is not for couples who wants to relax between discovering Korúla. The resort is a bit worn down and some things are not working. Breakfast is buffet and typical for mediums resorts. not many item are fresh made/prepared. Dinner at night is also buffet. No a la carte. Pool areas are reasonable - but pool bar is not a visit worth. The staff are undertrained and not able to make decent cocktails or drinks due to lack of training. Staff at poll or restaurants are lacking motivation. Best motivated staff is at reception.
