Nice location. Convenient. Basic. Older hotel showing its age - peeling paint, some wood rot, etc. No aircon / AC. Still it was clean and good size. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast while a basic continental breakfast, it was good with fresh bread.

Friendly staff and whilst the decor is a bit outdated, it comes with its own charm, is quite spacious and clean.
Good quality breakfast with choice.
Good transport links- bus stop was a few minutes away to get to the train station and easy to park motorbikes at the back of the property.
Relatively easy to walk into town and spas. Good location, reasonably priced and would stay here again.

Cute and clean but the Wi-Fi did not work consistently or often, and parking had to be paid every two hours if one cannot find free parking nearby. Staff did not tell us where to find free parking options when asked if there were other options than paying every two hours, but someone on the street let us know.

Breakfast was lovely with fresh buns and eggs, sliced meats and cheese, plus lovely staff to serve café and clear plates. Water pressure was great and beds were comfortable with an extra wool blanket for cool nights.

Great place to stay. Close to transit. Very close to central area of the town. Everything is walkable. Staff was excellent. Room was excellent. Internet was slow, which didn't help when planning the next part of our trip, but it did the job in the end.

Ideal for music concert at Festspielhaus

This hotel is located ideally for music concerts at Festspiehaus, which is next to the hotel.
I visited to Baden-Baden to enjoy the Berliner Philharmoniker's Easter Festival there and this hotel is one of the most convenient hotels for this.
In addition, the staffs, the room space and the breakfast were excellent and I enjoyed the comfortable stay.
Furthermore, this hotel is located within 10-minute walk from sightseeing spots including baths and saunas.
I'd like to visit this hotel again.

Nice hotel, good location. Rooms are comfortable and attractively furnished. Breakfast was fine, the coffee was good and there is a cold buffet. The internet is a disaster in this hotel and basically does not work consistently anywhere that we tried in the hotel (our room, dining room, hallway, stairwell). The connection fluctuates and we were constantly kicked out of the internet and had to re-type the password, only to be in for three or four minutes and have the internet mysteriously drop out again. This made it it impossible to use the internet to research the area and impossible to answer E-mail, really a no-go in today's world. We were lucky to find other hotspots that did work in Baden-Baden, but it would have been much more convenient had it actually worked in the hotel. We mentioned this upon check out, and they said they would pass this comment on to the boss. For this reason, we would not choose this hotel again.

Conveniently situated near Frankfurt Main Station.

The hotel looks like it has recently been refurbished, and has a modern but simple interior. There is a little road noise during the day but it was quiet at night and the train station cannot be heard from the hotel. Good value for money I thought. I was sceptical at first but left quite happy with the stay and would use the hotel again as a budget option. Cleanliness and a proper shower are the most important things for me, and I was very happy.

Very conveniently located. Excellent staff.

The very genuine-sounding welcome, the information offered about the town, the room, the breakfast and the willingness to help with any question, as soon as possible, was terrific. I understand this hotel doesn't have additional facilities, like a swimming pool, but I can't think what else would prevent it from gaining a higher star rating. I've been in many 4 star hotels that weren't a patch on this one; largely because of the staff.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The staff is very nice and the breakfast buffet was better than I thought. Only a 5-10 minute walk to the main attractions of Baden-Baden. Only drawback was that the wi-fi didn't work that well in the room (my room was farther from the office and I think that was the reason)

Good value and good location

This is a very good hotel. Although I booked a single room at a very good price, I was put in a large room with twin beds. I was told ALL rooms are doubles. An older hotel, some rooms are larger and some are smaller. Each room has a new safe which was very easy to use. The bathrooms are new and modern with a hair dryer. There was a large new television. To shut out the light, you need to use a pull cord between the sheer drapes and the windows which lowers or raises the outside panels. The light switches baffled me until I discovered pressing the two smaller switches at the same time turned off the lights. The breakfast buffet was very good: no hot scambled eggs or sausages but there were hard boiled eggs. I would readily stay here again.

Good location and good price, very comfortable bed and bathroom, but the reception service is closed at 10 PM. Hotel called us before closing, and they have key box in front of hotel. I can use password to get the key, it is a very interesting experience.

Checked into the hotel and our rooms spacious & very comfortable. The elevator (Lift) is a bit tricky but staff showed us how it all works. the only complaint is that you have to carry or HAUL your bag up a short flight of stairs...not too easy if you have a heavy load.

Perfect for Festspielhaus events

I was there to work with a show at the Festspielhaus (performing arts theater). The hotel is directly across the street from the theater. Breakfast is complementary and fulfilling (fruit, meats, croissants & breads, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, some vegetables). Small grocery store across the street for bottled water and snacks. Italian, Spanish and Pizza restaurant less than a block away. Theater restaurant open on show nights - sufficient. Ate there twice. Clean room that faced the main street with great view of hills and castle. I was there in early October so great weather and had window open for part of the day. Helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Very convenient location. Enjoyed a large room with high ceilings, comfortable bed, two windows which made the room light and airy but could use black out curtains. Nice size bathroom also with a window. Not all rooms are the same and some are quite small depending on the room rate. Nice breakfast buffet and friendly, helpful staff. Would certainly stay here again and Baden Baden is a wonderful place to visit.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:
I was only in the hotel for a night, and had to check out before breakfast.

The Schweizer Hof is an old hotel that could do with some maintenance and update its decor. This is definitely a no-frills hotel for people who don't intend to spend much time in their room.

PROS:
The exterior was attractive and it was located close to the center of town.

The Front Desk Attendant, Sara, was very friendly and helpful and she did her best to make the stay pleasant. She took the time to tell me all about the local attractions and arranged my cab for the early morning.

The room was very large, though furnishing was spartan.

The hotel was very quiet. I didn't see or hear any other guests during my stay.

CONS:
The public areas were rather grim and in disrepair.

The furnishings in the room were old and worn out and the bed had a thin, low quality mattress. The mattress was hostel standard.

The front desk is left unattended from 10pm until 6am. If you have a problem or need anything during these hours its not clear what you should do.

The hotel was very quiet. I didn't see or hear any other guests during my stay.

This is a pleasant middle priced hotel with friendly staff. It's close to all attractions. Get off the 205 bus from the airport at the big theatre. Baden Baden is a lovely place. Use your Guest Card for reductions at the Caracella Spa and for bike hire.

Forget the others.

Going to the spas in Baden-Baden? Forget the expensive, rip off hotels. This is the place. Inexpensive, clean and quiet. And a good breakfast buffet included. The only drawback is having to park in a municipal garage next door. Don't let that put you off though as it's full of security cameras. Only a short walk to the centrum, spas, restaurants, Roman Bath ruins and a quick drive to one of the best castle ruins in Southern Germany; the Altes Schloss.

Ich wurde freundlich empfangen, das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig und schon gut vorgeheizt.
Das Frühstück bietet eine reichhaltige Auswahl von Müsli, Obst bis hin zu den klassischen Brotbelägen mit leckeren Brötchen, Brot und Croissant. Der Frühstücksraum hat ein ruhiges, angenehmes und gemütliches Ambiente mit großen Fensterfronten nach draußen.
Ich konnte gut im Bett schlafen, für mich war die Matratze weder zu weich noch zu hart. Im Zimmer selbst ist ein kleiner sauberer Wasserkocher mit grünem Tee und eine Flasche Wasser wird zum Empfang bereit gestellt.
Ein großer Pluspunkt ist die Nähe zum Festspielhaus, in zwei Minuten steht man vorm Haupteingang, so dass ich fast in Versuchung kam, bei frostigen Temperaturen meine Jacke im Hotel zu lassen.
In der Nähe gibt es einen Netto, Gastronomie und in die Innenstadt läuft man zu Fuß 10 Minuten.
Gerne buche ich mich bei weiteren Besuchen in Baden-Baden dort wieder ein.
Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, wenige Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus und in einem Parkhaus, beides kostenpflichtig.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, mein Wunsch nach einem Zimmer das mit dem Aufzug erreichbar ist wurde sofort umgesetzt, auch der Wunsch nach einem ruhigen Zimmer wurde erfüllt. Das Haus ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es hat einen eigenen Charme und es ist alles sehr sauber.
Das einzige was ich nicht so gut finde, sind die vielen kleinen Verpackungen beim Frühstück (Butter, Margarine etc.)

Zum Hotel selber kann ich wenig schreiben, da es nicht zum checkin gekommen ist. Sicher, die Rezeption ist nur bis 22:00 Uhr besetzt und meine Anreise war um 22:45 Uhr, aber die Notrufnummer an der Eingangstür, die laut Hotel Angaben 24h besetzt sein soll, war zu meinem absoluten erstaunen (auch nach mehrmaligen Versuchen) leider nicht besetzt und somit mußte ich mir eine Andere Unterkunft besorgen. Auch kann man keine Kulanz vom Hotel selber zur Rückerstattung der angefallenen Zimmerkosten erwarten.

The hotel was clean and (most of the staff) was very friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel is old and it shows. Very oldfashioned interior and most definitely NOT worth the price of 149 Euros!!! Breakfast was ok but that´s it. Nothing special. It would have been nice, if some of the young restaurant staff would have been more attentive. e.g. take dirty dishes off the small table, so we have more room. I really don´t know, how this hotel gets all the very good reviews. It was o. k. but nothing more!! The price is definitely to high!!

Ganz sympathische Übernachtung in gepflegtem Zimmer, mit gutem Frühstück, schattiger Terrasse und süßem Erker. Die Angestellten waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns sogar schon zwei Stunden vor dem Check-In in das Zimmer gelassen. Das Hotel empfehle ich weiter für Menschen, die gerne etwas abseits des Trubels und trotzdem fußläufig zum Zentrum mit Restaurants wohnen möchten.

Insbesondere in Pandemiezeiten haben unsere Hotels besondere Herausforderungen zu meistern. Im Schweizer Hof wurde wirklich viel getan, diese \"besonderen\" Zeiten auch besonders zu gestalten. Insbesondere die Lösung beim Frühstücksbuffet den Brotbelag portionsweise anzurichten hat mir sehr gut gefallen - Und: ein wirklich ausgesprochen hilfreiches und freundliches Personal - GROßES LOB!

Notre chambre etait situé au 2eme etage avec l'ascenseur accolé à la chambre. Lorsque personne l'utilise yout va bien mais par contre lorsque quelqu'un l'utilise c'est la catastrophe. Un bouquant de dingue et le fait d'avoir la chambre juste collé la nuit fu tres courtes. Bref dommage mais c'est souvent par Expediat que nous avons des chambres que les hotels ne peuvent pas louer par eux même. Je reste sur une grande déception.

Entspricht wirklich einem 3 Sterne Hotel , kleines Zimmer unterm Dach mit Fenster zu Hauptstraße . Aufzug fährt nicht so hoch, das heißt, Gepäck muss persönlich hochgetragen werden. Für ein wenig mehr Geld kann man in Baden Baden komfortabler übernachten. Praktische Lage wenn man zum Festspielhaus will.

Sehr zentral und eigentlich ganz nett...

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, das Personal nett und das Frühstück eigentlich sehr gut, der Frühstücksraum schön und hell. Leider wurden aber die Zutaten ab 9:45 (Frühstück bis 10:30) nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Das was vorhanden war, war qualitativ gut, auch der Kaffee (ist ja immer so ein Thema). Und leider hatten wir ein sehr sehr kleines Zimmer im EG. Für den Preis eigentlich zu klein, aber sehr sauber und in einem guten Zustand. Auf jeden Fall gerne wieder, allerdings würden wir ein anderes Zimmer bevorzugen.

Отель на одну ночь

Остановились на одну ночь,перед отдыхом в Баден-Бадене.Специально для посещения терм отель бы не рекомендовала-далековато,за те же деньги нашли отель прямо напротив терм.Удобна была бесплатная парковка на ночь.

Etwas belle époque zum kleinen Preis

Gute Lage und relativ gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Für Baden-Baden gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Das Hotel selbst wirkt wie etwas aus der Zeit gefallen - aber sympathisch. Staff ist freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Good location and breakfast

Quiet Location, but it was walking distance to the center of the city, and the discount grocery store was just 30sec from the hotel. Nice breakfast. It total, the stay was great!

朝食が寂しい

祝祭劇場の隣にあり、劇場を利用する時に便利。レストランが多数ある町の中心部まで、歩いて5分ほど。部屋は静かで清潔でした。トイレ、シャワー室も清掃が行き届いていた。テレビでBBC,CNNなど英語放送が見られます。
朝食はやや寂しい。パンとハムとゆで卵、オレンジジュースとコーヒー、シリアル、ヨーグクト。欧州のホテルでは種類としてはこんなものかもしれないが、各々選択肢がほとんど無いためか寂しく感じた。

Unmittelbar neben Festspielhaus

Hotel hervorragend für Besuch eines Konzertes geeignet. Doppel-komfortzimmer mit altmodischem Charme, sehr ruhig.
Frühstück ausreichend, vielleicht wäre ein bisschen Obst wünschenswert.

Hôtel confortable malgré une déco démodée. Très bien situé à 10min à pied du centre ville et des thermes. Parking juste devant l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner buffet excellent. Tout ce qu'il faut à volonté.
Je le recommande pour un court séjour.

Bonne adresse sans prétention

Bon accueil avec des formalités d'enregistrement rapide et possibilité de se faire comprendre en français par une des personnes sinon l'anglais est la règle pour ceux qui ne parlent pas l'allemand.
Remise des clefs à garder avec soi pour rentrer le soir après 22 H. Proximité du centre historique soit environ 1 Km
Pas de portage de bagage.
Chambre spatieuse très propre mais fonctionelle décorée sans goût avec un mur en vis à vis cependant éloignée permettant à la lumière de rentrer dans la chambre. 2 lits séparés acollés. Pas réfrégirateur. Petit déjeuner copieux à l'allemande sucré salé mais avec un choix réduit cependant en fromage et charcuterie industrielle. Quartier calme avec possibilité de parking devant mais il est préférable d'aller au parking sous terrain de festspielhaus juste à coté surtout si on souhaite assister à une représentation le week end car il il un forfait interessant de 4 Euros de 12 h 30 à 05 h du matin le lendemain et ensuite possibilité de garer la voiture devant l'hôtel gratuitement le dimanche
