First, the doors in the rooms need to be fixed. They don’t close properly and feel poorly maintained, which affects both comfort and security.
Second, the overall cleanliness of the building needs improvement. Common areas don’t feel well cared for, and it gives the impression of neglect.
There are also clothes left hanging on the balconies of the building, apparently for a long time, and no one seems to remove them. This looks unprofessional and negatively impacts the appearance of the property.
Finally, the restaurant surface is a bad choice because it holds sand. Every morning you step there, get sand on your feet, and then end up bringing sand back into your room. This could easily be fixed by changing or properly covering the flooring.

This hotel felt like a prison with no indication of actually being in the Philippines! The driveway is so long it’s impossible to eat or drink anywhere but at the hotel and they don’t even have water fountains like most other hotels in the Philippines so access to drinking water is by over priced bottles bought from the hotel. The beers cost 4-5 times what they cost anywhere else.

It wasn’t stated on the ad for the North Wing room that it wasn’t accessible or no elevators for the room, instead, what was written if it’s accessible or not is “tile flooring”. They should change the ad to avoid misunderstanding. My family loved the resort though, it was peaceful and quiet and the staff there were nice too.

Great spot to stay - but I had to book an extra night on the front side of my trip as my girlfriend would be arriving a day early. I didn’t book the upgraded room by accident. However, when talking to staff they assured me she would just have to pay the difference and then we could keep the same room so she wouldn’t have to check in/check out. When she arrived, they wouldn’t let her do upgrade the room. It was we still an amazing stay in the enjoyed it lots.

The resort is a beautiful and cozy sanctuary. The people around me were very friendly and attentive. 5 stars. I recommend this place if you want a more private, family oriented experience. The resort entrance is a good .5-1 mile from the public street, booking a transportation with them is a better option for transportation if you’re not planning to drive. Also, No food deliveries were allowed. If you brought food from outside, you consume it inside your room.

The room was accommodating. Super large bed. Two queen beds attached with a double foam top to cover the seem. Had to switch the refrigerator out for a different one. Still didn't get our beverages cold. Elevator had no fans or airflow. Sometimes the Elevator doors will close on you while you walking in with your family. Make sure your kids get on first or they could get hit. No drinking water in our room. We had to purchase our own. The breakfast buffet was ok. Food was decent, not 5 star. Outdoor dinning only with the flies. Pools were nice, the beach was nice. We did the wave-runner for 30 the attendants for helpful and friendly. Front staff were friendly and got us cabs or tricycles when we needed to out.

This is our 2nd stay at Costabella and we love this small quiet oasis… from the beautiful beach, grounds, spa and spacious room. My Father had a medical emergency and the staff were attentive, and accommodating as our reservations kept changing… thank you for another great visit.

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay in Costabella. We had beautiful views of the sea & surrounding properties from our bedroom. The room was spacious, clean and had modern conveniences. Staff were welcoming & polite. The food selection from the different menu options were satisfactory. The beach area was well maintained. We booked a day trip visiting different islands and snorkelling through the resort, and that was the highlight of our stay. The resort is a 30 minute ride from Mactan International Airport. There wasn't anything we disliked during our stay.

Poolside room is ‘pool block’ room on 3rd floor. Room for 4 had beds for 3. Not even a pool view.
But overall the hotel is nice and a great food menu.

Beautiful property, awesome restaurants on site, really nice private beach, great swimming pools for adults and kids. Only negative was long walk to convenience stores unless you wanted to call a Grab. No tricycles allowed anywhere near the property. We’ll definitely return and recommend to our friends.

The place is excellent, I was needing a place to sit and reflect and this was the spot. All the staff were friendly and courteous, the food was really great, the Pina Coladas were artistic as were all the tropical drinks, I guess if I had to find anything negative it would be no laundry on site, but ghat is not a big deal. I enjoyed my stay and would recomend.

Was able to get into our room a few hours earlier, had a beach/pool (Premier Deluxe Poolside) on the 7th floor. Great view from the balcony. Room was comfortable and spacious. Staff was very attentive. The breakfast buffet was great at La Marina. Rest of the menu was okay 4/5. Brissa was better. Overall, pretty happy with our stay.

Reason #1 : the check in is very chaotic, guests are very confused and there’s zero direction from staff. In our case the front desk staff claimed our reservation didn’t include breakfast, but we had already paid for it. He became confrontational and suggested I call hotels.com
Reason #2: they add freshly cleaned jars to the breakfast buffet, unfortunately these are not dry, which means there’s unfiltered left over water in them which led for us to get sick. In addition some cocktails are made with unfiltered ice

My second time staying at the resort. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are great and my team really enjoyed the 3 dining options along with the pool and beach. The spa is under Reno and they are offering in room services but what they don’t tell you is that your massage will be on your bed ( no travel bed) and cost the same. Just a heads up if you want the spa but otherwise this is a lovely option if you don’t want to go super luxury.

Breakfast would be better if they kept the lids closed on the food and it was served at a temperature safe for consumption. Enjoyed a pleasant stay at Costabella on Lapu Lapu Island.The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. and the AC worked well. The hotel restaurant never served me anything I didn't like. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My biggest disappoint was most definitely the beach. The beach itself is fine, but it's not a good spot for swimming in the ocean. I think I walked out at least 50 yards and the water was not even above my kneecaps. And you had to be mindful of the rocks here and there. I was hoping for something comparable to a Kamala Beach (Phuket) experience,,but there was no contest. The traffic is also quite ghastly - even on little Lapu Lapu. Actually it was much worse in Lapu Lapu. Multiple Filipinos told the tale of a stop light on a very busy street which has been out of service for five years. It took over an hour to drive three blocks. Misery. And finally, while Lapu Lapu is a relatively short distance from Cebu City and the International Airport, everything that I really enjoyed about Cebu was located at three to four hours to the south. That includes swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob, the nearby Tumalog and Kawasan Waterfalls, the white sandy beach of Moalboal,and the little town adjacent to it. If I had it do over again, I would stay in Moalboal or go to Boracay.

Staff are nice and the location is good. We use GLAB taxi to savemore and maribako grill within 90-100 peso one way. The resort is isolated from main street but there is a certain distance from traffic noise. So, location issue a few visitors left their comments is not a big issue by using GLAB app. Beach access is nice, rescue people watch guests carefully, although the private beach is not deep enough, their service is enough nice.

Butt unfortunately the room is in very bad condition due to the humidity in the rooms that pillows all of it have molds luckily , bathroom tub are unsafely high which you need a foot stool to get up which they don’t have for our senior family member are unable to use it , it’s fall hazard. Bathroom door was stuck few times with my senior family member inside which freak me out . Disappointing 2 night stay . We will not come back .

Our second stay, last time was 2016. Property has been improved but at a cost, a big increase in food and beverage prices. Sadly our rooms were not as good as previous and the breakfast was not as good. Far too expensive for a buffet breakfast at 900 pesos per person even children who only eat a piece of toast pay 900. With no alternative due to being locked in a compound then I would suggest you take the billboard packages at booking to save some money.
