Great place to stay. The hosts are meticulous in how they set up and maintain the rooms. We stayed at many other places on our trip in Europe, and none were as clean and comfortable as our room in Lindau. The only limitation is the location if you want to visit the island. We had no trouble parking and walking to the old section on the island. Highly recommend.

Man at check in was angry...asked me why I used the App when I could book directly since I was there before. He said “It’s your money!” I had stayed there years ago with my parents. I would think twice before staying here again. The facilities have been remodeled but the man at the desk is not friendly and needs to be corrected!

This hotel is a beautiful old mansion excellently maintained and updated with all the amenities. Breakfast was fantastic in a bright sunroom. Area was a tight residential community but parking was provided and the garden is indeed “schön”.

We had 2 double rooms and both had comfortable beds and good showers. Added bonus of having black-out shutters and finding small bags of Haribo on our beds. Owner and staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and the dining room was a pretty room. Approx. 20 mins. to walk to old town Lindau but if you take the hotel paper document you're given at check-in, you can get on the bus for free (2 buses - nos. 1 and 3 will take you to the island). Would happily stay again should we ever be back in the area. We all thought it should be a 4 star hotel.

I loved this hotel for its proximity to the sights I had come to see. It was practically in the shadow of the castle. I received a warm welcome and helpful attitude from the staff I encountered. I rated the hotel a \"4\" for comfort rather than a \"5\" only because it was a standard room, not an extra-comfy one. This was fine with me -- I was not looking for a luxury hotel, only a hotel close to the action where everything would work.

Nice Room, Great Staff, Mattress Could Be Better
The room was nice, not too large but it had a desk as well as an armoire. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. The only complaint I had with the room was the bed and shower curtain. The bed itself was fine but the mattress didn't have much support and consequently sagged in the middle quite a bit, to the point of having a rather fitful night of tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position. The shower was very nice except that there was no enclosure but instead a shower curtain that you had to pull around the curtain rod to enclose 2 sides. The problem is that the floor was pretty much all one level without a step-down in the shower area and if you had the shower head pointing toward the curtain the water would tend to flow underneath and flood the rest of the bathroom. The other problem with a shower curtain creating half of the 4 \"walls\" is that it would tend to get sucked in on your body and make for a cold surprise at times.
The staff was very helpful with information regarding our next day's visit to King Ludwig's Neuschwanstein Castle. We were told that we could make on-line reservations and bypass the long lines for tickets. The real benefit for me doing this was the ability to also request the elevator ride up and down inside the castle instead of walking up many steps. I have a bad back and this was extremely helpful for me. They also have a very steep discount for those with disabilities and in need of the elevator which was another bonus.

Nice small hotel in quiet neighborhood off the island proper...The included breakfast was typical European style...Rental bikes were well maintained and reasonable at 9 euro per day... Wi-Fi was sketchy in our 2nd floor room, but we always managed to eventually get a connection...so Etihad requiem a half dozen or more reload attempts... Always found a parking space, but the lot is small...10 minute drive of 40 minute walk to harbor on island...

The hotel is nice, the breakfast the best I had on my trip, but the wi-fi costs five Euros, and doesn't work if you have a Mac. The manager was very grumpy about it, and in the end I paid 5 Euros for wi-fi that didn't work. But Lindau's a nice place.

Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig an einer kleinen Strasse etwas außerhalb der Altstadt von Lindau. Passend zum Namen ist es umgeben von einem sehr schönen Garten. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück war im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen und sehr gut und vielfältig. Ich würde jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.

Es war ein Souterrain-Zimmer, leider ohne Ausblick, dafür aber ordentlich. Auch das Bad hatte Fenster.
Das Hotel liegt am Berg, über 2 km von der Insel weg. Mit dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß ist die Stadtmitte nicht so komfortabel zu erreichen.

Gastfreundschaft und Service merkt man erst, wenn man einmal auf diese angewiesen ist. Mir war bei der Anreise das Ladekabel des Handy abhanden gekommen und der Chef war so lieb, mir seines über Nacht zu borgen, mir die weiteren Bahntickets sicherheitshalber auszudrucken und mich am nächsten Tag etwas früher schon frühstücken zu lassen. Das Frühstück ist wirklich lecker, gute qualitative Produkte und ein hervorragend gekochtes weiches Ei. Das Economy Einzelzimmer ist sehr ruhig und völlig ausreichend, alleine mit über 2 Meter Körpermaß ist das Bett zu kurz, aber dafür kann das Bett ja nichts...

Sehr nettes Personal.Ich kam schon etwas früher an,durfte aber trotzdem gleich aufs Zimmer.Mir wurden nette Lokale zum Essen vorgeschlagen. Für mich war auch die Lage ideal,weil ich zur Klinik musste.Das Frühstück war auch gut.Man könnte zwischen verschiedenen Getränken wählen.Es war sehr ruhig und die Betten sind zu empfehlen.Dieses Haus ist echt zu empfehlen.

Die Begrüßung bei Anreise, aber vor allem die Tipps zu Ausflügen und Restaurants waren ausführ,lich, freundlich, treffsicher. Das Haus strahlte Charm aus, der Frühstücksraum war von der Sonne durchflutet. Betten sehr bequem, dank Außenjalousien konnten wir wunderbar schlafen. Parkplatz reichte für unseren VW Bus.

Die Zimmer waren recht neu möbliert. Es war sehr sauber. Ich habe mich noch nie in einem Hotel so wohl gefühlt. Das Einzelzimmer war zwar sehr klein, aber es war sehr schön eingerichtet und extremst sauber. Es gab ein Komfort mit Handtüchern und Bademäntel Radio Fernseher WLAN gutes Frühstück gute Parkplätze ein wunderschöner Garten zum verweilen. Es war perfekt
