The bathroom door wouldn't stay open. I had to use a coat hanger to keep it open.
The knob on the shower was loose, and the temperature adjustment was either scalding hot, or only tepid.
Did I alert the staff. No, because I'm gone all day. It was not worth moving to another room. These things should be checked after each room cleaning.
The staff was okay, but hey, it's only a motel 8.

I never got the room. When I tried to check in, the front desk clerk never found my name. I called the person who made the reservation for me and she had a receipt as well as a confirmation number (Heather Clemmons paid it on my behalf). The front desk clerk, kinda rudely, asked me to leave. The room was paid for, but I never got to stay in the room. Because it stated on your website - No refunds - Mrs Clemmons was out $85+ and I ended up without a hotel room for the evening. I'm sorry to say, but using your service in the future will never happen.

First off the room fee was $80, the next night was $50 more seems how it was a Thursday. The room was humid due to wet carpet along the bed by the window, I do not know if it was shampooed or not. We had 4 pillows, 2 were tolerable, the other 2 were so lumpy we couldn't sleep on them. Breakfast was minimal, biscuits were thin and cold but the gravy was good. The orange juice and apple dispenser was not primed as I had dried flakes in the bottom of my cup, orange juice tasted and looked like water. Worst experience was huma feces by the walking path dumpster at the parking lot.

Front desk needs help

Upon arriving, I was told that I couldn't check in until 3:00PM unless I paid him $40 to get the room that was already ready. My friend said that we had been driving for many hours and asked if he could use a restroom. He was denied and told that he could use a restroom when he checked in at 3:00PM or pay an extra $40 now to use a restroom now. Of course, this sparked an argument between the two of them. Very unprofessional behavior from your front desk clerk observed here (not a good first impression). He wore no name tag and wouldn't give his name, so I can only describe him as a skinny, mid to late twenties, hispanic male. There was another front desk clerk who checked me in later with a nametag \"TY\" that was up-side down. He never smiled, but managed to get me checked in without making me more upset. The next morning, I witnessed another confrontation between your front desk clerk (male) and another guest who was complaining about the room given to him. This guest asked to use the phone to call his mother and the female front desk clerk must have given it to him, because the male FDC came out into the lobby where I was eating breakfast and started giving the man a hard time demanding he return the phone immediately. I decided that I should leave asap, before it got any worse. The female FDC checked me out with a smile and asked how my room was. She was the only good thing I can remember about my stay and it was on my way out.

I could hear some street noise from time to time and we could hear noise from the breakfast dining area early in the morning but we were in a room just right above the dining area so I suppose that's to be expected. If we had had a room farther down the hall to the east I doubt we would have heard the dining room noise. The hotel is located on a busy intersection so I guess street noise should be expected to a point as well.

Overall our stay was good. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast because all that was offered was carbs, no protein. Biscuits and gravy, toast, waffles, oatmeal in a package, Sunny D, cereal, and some small containers of fruit. I would have liked some eggs or sausage or bacon. I don't like carbs. However at $100 per night which I thought was very reasonable, I guess I shouldn't expect much for breakfast. You get what you pay for.

Other than that I enjoyed the stay. The location was good for me and it was close to several food options, fuel and Walmart which came in handy. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a very old hotel and the shower walls were riddled with black mold. If you are mold sensitive, you don't want to stay here. Also, there were ants in my room... not a lot but still...

The bad: The queen beds aren't really queen beds, they are 54\" rather than 60\". The staff was a bit inconsistent, some were very helpful, but one staff member seemed to pointedly ignore us when we had a question/request.

The good: the room was clean and comfortable. Not very many ammenities, but enough. I give it a 4 because the price was very reasonable.

The room we were assigned had a terrible odor. The lobby had no air conditioning and was stuffy and stale smelling. Our TV didn’t work properly. The gentleman at the front desk tried to give me some suggestions to get it working, but it did not work.

Decent hotel for the price

The first room we were given smelled terrible so they gave us a free upgrade to a room that didn't stink. The breakfast was good. There were shady characters around the property so we weren't sure about safety, but it was a nice hotel and a good price.

I had the pleasure of being looked after by Noé at reception during my stay - and I can say with full conviction: Noé is a real asset to the hotel. From the first greeting to the last farewell, he was professional, friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is not too expensive and very close to the Union Reservoir race venue. The window AC unit struggled to keep the room cool during the heat wave and the bathroom floor had several pretty serious cracks in the tile. Breakfast options are very limited. If it is where you need to be or on your route it will do.
