The ac was strong. But being next to a busy road with door and windows leaking light that at no point left the room what i would consider dark. The front desk was helpful for replacing the towels and such, however the apparent lack of and noise isoation is a negative. Every step or thought of out upstairs neighbors sounded like a horde of wild animals(assuming they weren't just rowdy) and the beds weird thin metal frame thing made my movements echo as the metal flexed.

The room assigned was awful. Dirty, in poor condition, mold in the shower with broken tiles (didn’t use because of this). The rust was prevalent throughout the room. Burn holes in the bedding. Worst stay of our lives. Would have left, but we were in the middle of a severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The faucet in the room was disconnected from the base from the countertop. Floor leading to the bathroom to the from the wash area was also very dirty and grimy. The lights around the bedroom bed were loose and had a short in them. I promise I will not stay at a Days Inn ever again.

The room was clean. Conviently located to Scooters Coffee, QT, and KU. The property was old and run down. The door to my room appeared to have been pried open in two places, and I could literally see daylight through the two disfigured areas of the door frame. The TV did not work. When I inquired about that after the first night I was told that the remotes sometimes dont work, and that I could manually turn it on by pressing a button on the TV itself, then the remote would work. The hair dryer did not even have an electrical casing around the plug. NO WAY I was attempting to plug that in and use it. The shade had water stains on it and it was very noisy. The bed was saggy in the middle. I didnt even attempt to check out their "continental" breakfast. I would definitely NOT stay here again.

Rooms were clean enough. It was 5 degrees outside. We rented 2 rooms... One had the heat turned up so high it felt like walking into a sauna, in spite of the cold outside. The other was so cold I'm surprised the plumbing hadn't burst.

Had to turn the heat off in one room and all the way up in the other, and neither room reached a comfortable temperature before 5am.

Seems like a basic thing even a budget hotel could do is have their housekeeping set the temperature somewhere neutral when they freshen up the rooms between guests

Insects in the room. Hidden lightswitch behind the ironingboard was irritating. Faucet for the sink was difficult to control. Coffee cups but no coffee machine. Heating system was very loud. Poor quality food for breakfast. No tea. Im done with Days Inn.

Clerk was rude. Won’t give you your deposit back. Will lie how many animals you have when you only have 1. Poor customer service. WiFi don’t work. Showers suck. Beds are not comfortable at all. Will accuse of stealing. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS HOTEL!

TV, with its feet still on it, was hung crookedly on the wall. It wouldn't come on until the front desk clerk came, and discovered it wasn't plugged in. I know things happen, and I get that Days Inn is a budget motel, but no, I won't be back.

Desk staff were courteous and helpful. Room was pretty clean but table light fixtures and shades were extremely rusty, as were the shades although might have been mold. The sink fixtures were not secured to the counter. Showerhead was very rust. Shower tile was coming off the wall. But the place was convenient, reasonably priced, reasonably quiet for a motel in a college town on a weekend.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Door threshold was in dire need of weatherstripping replacement, as daylight was clearly visible around the entire doorway. Breakfast service ends early (9am) and consists solely of cereal and donuts, not exactly what I consider continental. All in all, not bad but not great. Definitely a budget stay.

The hotel building is so old and unmaintained it should probably be condemned. The man at the counter obviously hated being there which isn’t surprising as anyone would hate working in such a place. But his attitude towards the customer was terrible. The room was a smoking room and I don’t smoke. I refused to stay there. So I went home. Didn’t even stay overnight because it was so awful. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

Get what you pay for, obviously local ownership has ZERO interest in updating this property. The room is outdated, aged, tarnished and drab in every way possible. “Free continental breakfast” was non-existent and coffee was questionable at best. Again, if you know what you’re in for this property delivers, if you’re expecting a something different, you’ll be very disappointed.

Air conditioner stopped working after a day. There were several bugs in room including a cockroach which we killed . Other than that the bed was very comfortable. Room could be cleaner . Could not get the TV to come on and no instruction guide .

Pet Friendly, I'm pretty sure its a "by the hour" type of place. Just two lights in the room and none in the bathroom. Sheets are stained so I slept on top. TV was not working and barely attached to the wall. On the upside, the service was friendly and helpful. To be honest I was surprised how worn down and third world it was. Breakfast was "do it yourself" microwave breakfast sandwiches and turned milk and burnt coffee.

After walking around the room for a few minutes, my wife noticed the bottoms of her feet were black. The lamps were rusty and the dressers and nightstands were dilapidated. The staff was friendly and the mattress was comfortable. A little elbow grease and some newer fixtures would make it a much nicer place to stay.

This place is really pretty gross. Toilet wouldn’t flush, TV wouldn’t turn on, shower sprayed everywhere. The towels were paper thin, as if they were stolen from the YMCA locker room. Minimal outlets were overloaded with plugs from the lamps and appliances. The continental breakfast was ridiculous, a couple containers of dry cereal and a fridge with pre-packaged breakfast sandwiches to be microwaved.

I did not like anything about this property. It wasn't clean, the lamps in the room even had rust on them, I found a dirty rag on the desk of my room when I entered, someone's hair was on the pillow, the sheets and pillowcases had dirty marks on them, the room smelled terrible, the toilet did not work, lobby area was dingy and smelled bad, I would never recommend this location to anyone. Honestly I'm not even sure how they stay in business.

We had originally reserved 7/31st to 11 if Aug our apartment was not ready had to extend. When doing this the app I used changed dates causing double booking, I went to front desk immediately showed the Owner what had happened she acknowledged it, but in no way would help, with refunding or allowing me to give the room to a couple who needed it, she stated only 1 person could stay because it was under my name so I was one of the 2 people and you have to give 7 day cancellation before they would refund, Next situation needed to get room for my daughter, go to front desk the receptionist was helping us when our comes the other OWNER, YELLING about NO Visitors not 1 or twice but 5 times, then bothered to ask his receptionist what we needed, it was CRAZY I wouldn't have believed it if it didn't happen to me, We had to ride it out there because even though it CLEARLY STATES, you can cancel, You CANNOT CANCEL at DAYS INN-KU WITHOUT 7 DAYS NOTICE no matter what you think your signing in the apps that they agree to work with & make money off of as well as the people of rent to BEWARE PLEASE

My 3-day reservation was made in error on the incorrect dates. The error was caught on Day 1, but Days Inn was unwilling to cancel / modify even Days 2 &3. As such, I paid for a 3-day reservation when I wasn't even in the same state. Unfortunate policy given Days Inn could have re-rented the room to someone else.

Had to rebook 3 rooms. The first 2 rooms had red stains on the sheets, black stains on the comforter all over. Also the AC unit was either extremely dirty or possibly had mold. TV in the 3rd room booked was holding on for dear life by 1 screw and about to fall. No coffee maker in the 3rd room as listed as an amenity. Front desk said they could not supply one for the room. Booked through Expedia initially. Was told that the property would not issue a refund for the booking after the 2nd room was also a disaster. Settled on the 3rd room without the coffee maker and the tv falling off the wall

You get what you pay for motel

We came for KU graduation so the price at this motel was roughly 3 times higher than normal. The floor was not carpet it was wood so we thought it would be cleaner. My white socks turned brown on the bottoms so i had to keep my shoes on while in the motel. The tv and microwave were a struggle turn on and stay on. The shower pressure was good.

(1) rooms on the Iowa street side has very loud noise of the traffic. Window (single layer glass ) and door do not not seal well making you feel sleeping on the traffic road. I could not sleep and went to stay in my car which is Parker much closer to traffic and much quieter than the hotel room
(2) the room was renovated recently with nice plank floor. But the furniture problem were picked up from trashcan side. I have seen this broken chair, rusted fridge, cracks desk. I have taken photos, but Expedia does not provide photo up loading option for review.
(3) it took about 10minutes of running shower water to get hot water. Actually the water can be very hot, if you are patient enough to wait for the water run (wasting a lot water, which feel too wasteful.
