Giez is an ideal site for Annency and cycling the local area. The apartment was clean and an onsite swimming pool.

This place is nice and quiet. The staff is very helpful and respectful. The place has an indoor and outdoor pool and parking is available. But the unacceptable thing is that there is no washing machine.

We chose this place because it was close to the Giez golf club. Reception is closed between 12-16:00 and after 19:00 which is not convenient. We stayed 1 night only on ground floor 1 bedroom apartment. Place needs serious maintenance, no ventilation in bathroom and toilet, stuffy and there was mildewed smell. You have to make your own bedsheets. Bed is hard and uncomfortable. There was a heating dryer but worked only 2 minutes and stopped working. Fridge freezer door was missing and we bought milk, juice and some food for breakfast which froze everything!! There was an inner door and didn’t close properly we had to close the wooden door in front which makes the place feel Claustrophobic as the window was small. TV was a very small seems like a 14” monitor. Sofa had no cushions which was really uncomfortable to sit. Looks dirty. The departure instructions require us to take out our own garbage, take out all our used linen, towels, clean dishes and the floor. Towels were really old and doesn’t dry properly. Definitely not worth staying there again. One night seem too long. Positive point was the bathroom, tub seems new and water pressure is good.

The accommodation was very basic and disappointing. The apartment was so dark a light needed to be on all the time . There was no curtain on the lounge area where the sofa bed was therefore you were woken up early by the light . The main bed was so hard it gave me severe back ache for the whole 7 days . The sofa bed was stained . There was Costs that I think was unreasonable , ie having to pay for bed linen . Also I thought I had paid all tax’s but still had to pay more when arrived . Also when I asked for extra pillows they said this was not allowed i even asked if I could pay , still no .

One night stop over
We we're looking for an affordable one night stop over for a family of 4 before travelling onto Meribel for weeks skiing. We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the Accommodation for the price paid (it was far better than the apartment we had booked for our main holiday)
The Staff were very accommodating and stayed open late to welcome us and had restaurants on hand to recommend as a quick fix for tired children. Would definitely consider using again be it for a stop over or longer stay

This was a great place - more of an apartment than a hotel. The setting is in a tiny town out in the mountains -- beautiful place. We drove and even with the Navigation GPS is was a bit hard to find but worth the effort -- Big room - kitchen facilities - Internet - swimming pool and golf close by. Wanted to stay longer

We just booked this to stay outside of Geneva for a night- we found the room to be nice and clean- kitchen provided- it would be great for extended stays. There are cool old buildings, castle, church nearby and made for a nice walk.

Lacking in certain facilities such as toaster, hairdryer and iron, Kitchen poorly designed with no work surface. We were also very surprised to be charged 40 Euros for cleaning the apartment which we were only told about at check in.

Very smart,modern motel with good, well equipped apartments.The one drawback is the reception.It has very limited opening hours and unfriendly staff.We arrived at 2pm but were told we couldn`t have the key till 3.30.The unhelpful receptionist said it was due to cleaning but the motel was nearly empty.She wouldn`t check if the apt was ready. The Birdie is very isolated and there are no shops in the village of Giez so it would be nice if the reception could provide a limited supply of groceries.I.e.bread,butter,milk,coffee etc.

Bleiben sie dieser Unterkunft auf alle Fälle fern. Uns fielen beim Abendessen zwei Kakerlaken auf den Tisch! Ekelhaft!
Wir sind sofort wieder abgereist und haben NICHT da übernachtet aber die Unterkunft weigerte sich eine Rückerstattung auszustellen.
Es besteht keine Klimaanlage und die Apartments sind extrem heiss (bei Ankunft über 30C im Innerbereich). Beim Fensteröffnen kommt Ungeziefer rein. Die Einrichtung ist alt, abgenutzt und vielfach beschädigt.
Die Unterkunft weigerte sich auch nach mehrmaliger Intervenierung durch Hotels.com eine Rückerstattung auszustellen. Sie verlangten Fotos von den Kakerlaken, man stellt sich das mal vor! Wenn dir Kakerlaken auf den Teller fallen, denke ich nicht zuerst mal daran Fotos zu machen sondern ich bin angewiedert.

I was mostly happy to stay here, but bed sheets and towels were not included, which is strange. We did bring our own.
There was no air-conditioning, nor any fan to cool down the room.

- Chambre non prête à notre arrivée à plus de 18 h !!! Alors qu'elle est censée être prête depuis 16 h selon la plateforme hotels.com
- Prélèvement de frais de ménage de 70 euros sans nous prévenir, alors qu'il est indiqué sur la plateforme hotels.com et sur le mail envoyé par Vacanceole Le Birdie que pour les séjours de 1 à 6 jours, le ménage est inclus (sans aucune indication des poubelles à vider et des draps à rapporter à la réception) !!! 70 euros pour vider des poubelles et rapporter des draps, c'est bien cher payé et encore faudrait-il le savoir, autrement que par un inventaire tarifé soit disant affiché que personne ne nous a montré !!! Le minimum serait que la personne à l'accueil le signale aux clients.
Dommage la résidence est située dans un endroit agréable...

Personnel sympa et à l’écoute.
Les appartements sont vieillots et nécessitent quelques travaux (joints salle de bain et cuisine avec traces de moisissure).

Attention le sauna n’est pas accessible dimanche et la piscine ferme à 19h nous n’avons pu accéder ni à l’un ni à l’autre en arrivant

Sauber, ruhig und gepflegt, schöner Pool. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort, ohne Auto problematisch. Das WiFi ist ein komplettes Desaster, funktioniert nur in der Rezeption. Die Gegend und der See sind natürlich wunderschön...

Naja für uns war das eine Zwischenstation zum ausruhen. Da aber der Internet Empfang so schlecht war und kein WLAN verfügbar war, konnten wir nicht ausruhen, da die Kinder nichts machen konnten. Das Zimmer war aber alt.

Les studios sont très mal orientés, avec beaucoup de vis à vis sur les terrasses et nous n'avions aucune vue sur la nature.
Quel dommage, alors que très peu de chambres étaient occupées de se voir attribuer une chambre en face de celles du personnel, sans verdure à l'horizon.

Secteur calme à proximité du golf. Terrain de tennis, une piscine extérieure et une interieure. Parking vers les entrees. De passage au Birdie , en escale sur la route des stations de ski de la Tarentaise, nous avons passé une très agréable nuit de transit , dans le confort et l’espace ,au Birdie où l’accueil et la propreté étaient bien au rendez vous.

Week-end de deux nuits à l'occasion d'un mariage à la Ferme de Gy dans le joli village de Giez que l'on rejoint à pieds en quelques minutes .
Pour un lit double , il convient de prendre un appartement pour 4 personnes avec kitchenette et petite terrasse ensoleillée le matin ,très agréable pour un petit déjeuner bucolique ( le troupeau de vaches de la ferme du village passe sur la route pour rejoindre le pâturage ! )
Nous avons apprécié le calme , la vue sur la montagne , l'extrême propreté des lieux et la complaisance du personnel . La résidence est située sur un golf mais nous n'avons pas eu le temps d'en profiter ...
La résidence offre par ailleurs l'avantage de se situer à proximité d'Annecy et des nombreuses randonnées de la région .

Not good and overpriced
We stayed 5 days in résidence le birdie and we booked apartment with bedroom and extendable sofa in the living roor, it was very small that we couldn't turn once the sofa was converted into bed and the bedroom didn't have window and it was just beside the bathroom witch didn't have window either l so all the humidity stayed in the bedroom. In the kitchen was nothing, no soap, so sponge, no dishwasher tabs, no garbage bags so we had to buy all. NO internet even if it's written on the Webseite otherwise, no mobile connection at all due to the mountains I guess, so it was frustrating not to be able to check even the Google maps or anything. Near to the accommodation was nothing, no shop. No restaurants or even just for a short walk there is nowhere to go and the light are shut down at midnight. All résidence is very uncaring and old, everywhere the spider nets witch end up on our hair ones we enter or exit the apartment. The reception is only opet few hours a day and until 7 pm so after that we couldn't go the the pool coz it was locked up. Only positive is the apartment was clean, we had small balcony and the man on the reception was very friendly and speaks very good englisch otherwise it's definitely overpriced for what you get. I wouldn't go there again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Wir waren zu einer Hochzeitsfeier in unmittelbarer Nähe eingeladen und brauchten Bett und Dusche, das haben wir auch bekommen. Da wir nicht viel Komfort benötigen, haben wir auch nicht viel erwartet. Das Personal war nett und sehr flexibel (unser Flug und damit unsere Ankunft wurde mehrfach verschoben). Die Unterbringung an sich entspricht der einer besseren Jugendherberge. Von den Freizeitmöglichkeiten (Shuttle-Service zum Annecy See, Tischfußball, Swimming Pool) haben wir keinen Gebrauch gemacht. WLAN gibt es nur im Bereich der Rezeption, aber ich schlage vor bei einem Urlaub in der Abgeschiedenheit der Berge, kann man ruhig ein paar Tage auf WLAN verzichten.

Du coup le séche serviette vous froote les cotes quand vous êtes assis sur les toilettes et vous devez vous asseoir en décalé : une catastrophe. Pas de gel douche, juste une savonnette. La réception ferme à 19h et là toute vie s'arrête. La wifi est coupée à partir de 19h, pas de réseau et la piscine est aussi fermée à 19h00. L'enfer.

2 points négatifs: nous sommes arrivés 10 min avant la fermeture de l'accueil (à 19h). Au moment de faire la cuisine, la plaque de cuisson ne fonctionnait pas, elle disjonctait systématiquement. Pas moyen de joindre quelqu'un. Nous avons fini par taper à d'autres portes pour se faire dépanner. 2ième point : aucune réception de réseau dans l'appartement ni d'accès WIFI. Et petite anecdote : une chaise en plastique certainement fragilisée par des occupants précédents a cédé et la chute a été évitée de justesse.

Chambre et établissement conforme à la description au détail près que notre chambre double (studio) ne comportait pas de lit mais un simple clic-clac au confort sommaire...vraiment regrettable d'avoir l'impression de camper pour ce tarif, même au beau milieu d'un cadre montagnard splendide!

Nous avions réservé un studio au Birdie pour être a proximité du lieu de mariage de nos amis. Nous voyageons beaucoup et nous avons trouvé que le rapport qualité/prix était loin d'être exceptionnel. Pour ce tarif là nous nous attendions à mieux :
Propreté: correct mais il faudrait penser à nettoyer les bouches de ventilation.
Confort : les canapés lits des studios devraient être de qualité supérieur, ce sont des couchages d'appoint, nous n'avons pas bien dormi. Il faudrait prévoir des ventilateurs pour les studio du 2eme étage, il faisait trop chaud. Quelques équipements complémentaires seraient appréciés : sèche cheveux, savon pour les courts séjours.
Accueil: plutôt agréable donc rien a dire.
