Just needs a bit of updating.

For a family of 4, room was spacious, with a sofa bed for our 2 young children. Our room was ground floor in the annex. Small amount of hanging space, safe, and coffee machine. Bathroom needs updating, decor quite tired. Beds comfy and efficient air con. Was a good 30+ minute walk along the river to get to the old town, so quite out of town. But did mean it was quiet. Free parking good.

Helpful front desk staff, great location

I really liked staying on this side of town. It's much quieter than the city center and it's a lovely walk along the lake to get into the city center (and there's the bus as plan b). Highly recommend the nearby bakery of Pan & Gatô for great croissants, sandwiches, tarts, etc. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Liked having my a private little patio.

The good: nicely located, very nice reception staff. Very good breakfast, clean and in front of the lake.
The bad: standard double room is pretty small, small double bed and the housekeeping staff make a lot of noise in the morning in the corridor just outside your room door (even when the DO NOT DISTURB sign is placed), moving equipment, talking loud…

One night stop, overall good value.

A one night stopover returning from the Alps. Fist room was small and there was a terrible damp small in the bathroom. We returned to reception and were allocated another room 230 which was much better with nice views over the lake and a little more space. Check in and friendliness of the reception team was very good. Overall, great location 25 minutes walk to town but right by the lake and next to a great Brasserie too.

The views from the 2nd floor front rooms of the hotel are fabulous. The location is good depending on what type of trip you want, and its about a 20 minute walk into the centre of town. My single room was a bit spartan (paper cup that wasn't changed rather than a glass) and the room was a bit cramped.

A little gem close to old town and lake.

I stayed in this lovely hotel before; it is always nice and cosy. It snowed this morning, so views were amazing as hotel is a stone throw from the lake as well as the mountains opposite. Reception staff were really helpful and professional. Rooms are spacious and beds are really comfy.

Good location along the lake. Nice 30 minute walk to the center along the lake. Free onsite parking with gate.
Double room a bit tiny. Not much space along the bed. The pillows were so soft, almost flat, even using 2 of them, woke up with a sore neck.
We didn’t use it but there was aircon in the room.

With attractive modern decor, this hotel was pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly providing excellent service and local information. And the breakfast was excellent too!

Although not located in the Old Town, the hotel offers free parking. You can then walk to the Old Town along a lovely lakeside walk in around 25 mins.

Quick overnight stay. The hotel is interesting. We did not stay in the main building. When you walked into the building it feels like an old hotel. Inside the rooms are nicely redone and clean but it wasn’t the greatest workmanship and the doors were old. Just weird. But all in all it was a clean comfortable place to stay and breakfast was great.

Requested a light sunny room with balcony in the annexe, was given a room with small window and north facing over looking the car park, did not have sun at anytime of the day. After seeing the other rooms on the first floor, I realised ours was very much inferior despite paying £48 over the basic price. As a Hotels.com gold member I have yet to receive any benefits from this, I await your response.

We loved this hotel. Easy free private parking and a beautiful 20 min walk along the lake to old town. Front desk staff was very friendly and even stored a few things for us in their fridge. The hotel has a very nice patio in the front and we had a nice little private patio off our room. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Beautiful hotel unfortunately with very thin walls

Beautifully located on Lake Annecy, the Ancor Hotel des Muses is a nice venue with a very professional and helpful staff. The only bémol is the very thin walls of the annex where my room was located. Until 2 am, loud guests returning to the hotel were slamming doors and vibrating the whole building. Is it always like that? Maybe not, but I certainly did not sleep well!

Nice hotel with free parking. We stayed in the Annexe which was spacious and cool. Great location of just a few minutes walk to the lake. We also walked to the centre which took about 45 minutes. Staff were friendly. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on this. We stayed for one night and would stay again. Highly recommend

Our booking through hotel.com was for 1 room and four adults (my 19 yo sons were traveling with us), when we arrived we got the key, walked to the room and discovered there is no such this as a room for four adults. The manager immediately told us he would “make it right,” which meant finding us a second room, and the amazing staff even separated the bed into two for my sons in their room. The breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of great foods and beverage (€14 per person). It’s an exciting lake town, with lots of old world charm and this hotel shines as a bright spot.

We stayed in the Annex so review is not of main older building. Located across the street the Annex is a modern apartment or condo building that has been turned into hotel rooms. Gated secure parking by code entry which was important to us. We chose the largest room on main floor so no views. Two patios apartment styled. Large room with bed and couch and tiny table with coffee and water pot. No table for eating as outdoor patio table but unuseable winter. Bed comfortable and big. Walk across the street and boulevard and at the lake for perfect walks. A bit too far to walk into old town. But lovely walk on lake just across street. Front desk clerk very friendly and good English. Bathroom although large just not very useable. Bathtub not shower. With must hand hold shower head and no curtain or glass or anyway to shower and bathtub is super skinny coffin style! So sitting in tiny skinny bath while holding hand held head while trying to shower was less than desirable. As I am not French and super skinny but also not a larger person just average it was not conducive to sit comfortable. No grab bars and deep tub make for harder exit of tub as well! Overall dangerous set up really. Would not stay in This room again due to bathroom. Fixtures cheaply made. As we were there in winter we did receive bargain price so it was fine for one night if you can get a great price it’s worth staying. Full priced summer pricing would not have been happy with shower situation.

What a pleasant surprise.
I went to Annecy to complete a course at the university and needed a clean and comfortable place to sleep. When I arrived at the hotel, I was amazed by the finesse and good taste. Everything was perfect, the service was excellent, breakfast delicious, a beautiful view. I would have liked to stay longer. I recommend it 100%.

A conveniently located hotel that (some part of it at least - the separate standing building) requires renovation: the bathroom is very unpractical as after having shower all floor is wet ads there is no separation with the toilet. I think it coiuld be a problem during the colder months (no big drama for the canicules period).

Check in staff were kind and welcoming,both spoke English, even though we are in France.
Secure parking.
Breakfast room in reception looked very appealing. I needed to leave early so did not have breakfast.
My room on the top floor, the second floor was spotless and stylish in this Covid-19 time. Lake view room which was a huge suprise, very nice for a single room and a solo traveler to daydream out the window. Really really nice touch.
Great location. A walk into the town centre, but it's a beautiful walk. I did not want to be in the town centre which is partly why I chose here. There is a bus that stops right outside the hotel which goes to the train station.
Lovely gardens and restaurant area out front. Cute looking hotel too.
Absolutely loved the place. Intend to return.

Reception was so pleasant, showing us to our room in the annexe, & it was very secure. The room/en suite were large, very clean, plus a door to a patio with table & chairs. Kettle, fridge, safe were welcome additions.
Downside, it's on a busy roundabout. When I'd booked, the picture shows a tranquil area just across from the lake. The promanade round lake was used by cyclists, inliners, runners etc, & as hubby uses a mobility scooter, we were constantly in the way.

Nice mid-range hotel; clean, well-maintained. For Annecy in the summer, free parking near the lake - it's a 5min walk to the nearest swimming spot. There are several restaurants in walking distance, we were very pleased with La Reine des Pres - in the summer, you'll probably need reservations. All in all, we were happy with our experience, we would definitely stay there again.

Nice room, exactly what I expected. We stayed in the main building, because I liked better the quaint atmosphere there than the new building. One (good) note: I did hesitate between the main (old) room and the new ones (the annex) because the later had air conditioning, and the website did not stated air con in the old building, but I discovered (on departure, anyway the temperature was perfect) that there was an A/C split unit in the room, apparently brand new too. Did not book breakfast, but we changed our mind at checkout (flexible staff...) and it was great too, good choice, quality products.

The lobby got all the upgrades...the shower is not separate from the bathroom and water goes EVERYWHERE. Floor ends up being incredibly slippery! You can see mold starting on the base molding and our sliding 'faux' balcony door would NOT lock. Every morning it had slid open again and it was cold. We told the front desk the first night but it wasn't addressed and no other room was offered. 2nd night it popped open again even though we pushed it as far in as it could go to latch it. Our plans changed so we left...mostly just irritating. Also the restaurant that is part of the property is across the road and you need reservations. Wish they had told us that upon check in.

The hotel was exactly as expected - good, no frills and a great location. On site parking was a big reason we booked and it worked well. The other big reason for using the hotel again is the flexibility of check in time - we arrived after the hotel reception closed, but they were able to accommodate this easily. Will definitely use again in the future - good value for money.

I stayed on my way to a ski holiday. Hotel rooms are to a high standard. View of the Alps and Lake Annecy. There is no restaurant on site and no actual bar on site although limited drinks are available. There are restaurants close by.

Lovely hotel. Takes about half an hour to reach Annecy old town walking. On the downside we were in a suite in a separate building. The room was really dark and so so hot with no air conditioning just a fan which had no effect. It would also be good if they did food and not just breakfast.

Lovely hotel, nice location great staff. Pet friendly however the heat was bonkers in the room with no way of cooling it down, no air con which seems nuts. The heating of the building appeared to be cranked right up to the point thatni was very uncomfortable.. my hound was not enjoying it. Bear in mind it was february. The room did have a fan in the cupboard which we had on the whole time but it just moved hot air around. Id hate to be there in the summertime.. youd end up like a roasted parsnip!! Other than that no complaints.. apart from there isnt a bar in tge hotel, there is a restaurant over the road where i went for a wee whiskey one evening.. for the grand price of €12!!!

Dont let me put you off tho, because in the future... as long as tge sun wasnt shining and i had a way of cooling off me and especially the hound, then id stay again, but i think id take my own bottle of whiskey with me.

This was a stop on our way home. Nit quite what we expected and found ourselves in a building across the road from what we thought was the hotel. It was more like a motel, basic facilities. Room was large but a little dated. Restaurant across the road was ok but not really what we wanted. Unfortunately we were on the ground floor with only doors so couldn't open a window for air.

Ok if passing by with one night stay

1) Unprofessional and very rule cleaners kept knocking door from 9am regardless that we told her not to disturb us before 11am official check out time; noisy floor as cleaners made big noise for cleaning. 2) Room is dusty and old, toilet is not in good condition. There is no split between toilet and shower, and shower section doesn't have a tube or door/slide and so the whole toilet floor would be wet (flooded) for a couple of hours, if one takes shower, which is very uncomfortable to stay. 3) No receptionists on duty after 10.45 pm which means you have to arrive hotel for check in no later than 10.30 pm. 4) The front desk staffs were helpful and friendly though. 5) Location is ok only for those with cars and free car parking is a plus.

Chouette court séjour dans votre hôtel avec un personnel attentionné, travailleur et efficace. (Accueil clients: Attention tout de meme à avoir la délicatesse d’interrompre l’aspirateur lors de l’arrivée de clients à la réception, lors du débarrassage du sapin, ça n’est pas très agréable de se voir quasiment passer l’aspirateur sur les pieds quand on arrive tout juste du froid emmitouflés et chargés !). Chambres bien propres, bonne isolation. Buffet petit dej bien fourni et boissons disponibles à la machine le soir, un plus bien agréable. Merci !

Hemos tenido una experiencia muy bonita en Les Muses. Los dueños nos hicieron sentir como en casa, el trato ha sido muy cercano y cariñoso. Tuvieron detalles preciosos con los niños.
La ubicación es ideal, junto al lago y la parada de autobús en la puerta del hotel. La habitación era muy amplia, limpia y silenciosa y el desayuno fue muy variado y abundante. Nos hubiera gustado despedirnos de los dueños el día del check-out para agradecerles su amabilidad. Nos llevamos un recuerdo precioso y muchas ganas de volver. Sin duda, nuestro hotel para próximos días en Annecy.

Hotel agréable tant par le personnel que la variete des choix au petit déjeuner.
Seul point de critique mais qui reste correct c'est la vétusté de la salle de bain du bâtiment annexe mais la chambre était énorme et pour la région cela reste exceptionnel !

Hôtel bien situé près du lac, notre chambre était super. Nous avons dû changer de chambre car, avec notre animal, il nous fallait une chambre dans l'annexe ; j’ai donc dû payer une suite. Mais celle-ci était superbe, avec vue sur le lac : je ne regrette pas ce changement de dernière minute. En revanche, le petit-déjeuner était varié, mais la cuisson des œufs brouillés est à revoir.
