Loved the location and modern upgrades of the rooms. Restaurant would be busier if alcohol was permitted. I enjoyed the restaurant next door at the neighbouring hotel and their beautiful Riveria Bar. Was funny to see the staff of my neighbouring hotel coming over there too after work. I believe it's a cultural reason there is no alcohol permitted now, as it is no longer owned by locals, but Middle Eastern folks. Nice stay none the less. Kind tip: The Manager should reconsider yelling at people in his office, even if it's just the way he speaks. It makes some guests very uncomfortable.

Fabulous Hotel. I wished we had stayed longer.
Clean, tidy, well run and views to die for.
No alcohol policy is fine too as there are bars nearby with great atmosphere.

I was not sent nor offered the Panorama Travel card to help me get around the region. Also, there is a Manager from an middle eastern country who has been yelling at his employees for the last 20 minutes in his office, as several guests, including myself, were quite put off as we waited in the lobby for various reception questions, and gave up. What a terrible way to treat others. I'm sorry the hotel has obviously lost it's local ownership. I also found the men of eastern descent at this hotel quite dismissive of women guests. For example, only the male guests were being offered coffee in the reception lounge this morning. Not a very good impression when you are a female guest. And not that it matters to me, but if you enjoy a glass of wine with supper, as even Jesus himself did, you'll have no luck here. The religious culture of the people who own the hotel do not allow alcohol to be purchased nor drank here, unless you bring your own and have it in your room. Wow.

Bellevue au Lac on Lake Thun Excellent!!

The Restaurant Bellevue au Lac was excellent choice & located on the beautiful lake Thun, it had great views, a wonderful restaurant and friendly & very helpful staff. Free Bus passes were included into town and beds & room cleaned daily. A+++ We are looking forward to staying here again!

Charming hotel in a beautiful location! Go for a room with a balcony overlooking the lake, you won't be disappointed. Staff were outstanding. Restaurant food was delicious, and accommodated me close to their closing time upon my late arrival.

The views from our rooms were amazing. The hotel is older. The carpet felt dated and the area around the shower had some mold due to water leaking. One of the room had a slightly musky smell when we checked in.
The breakfast buffet is fair. The staff were friendly. Can take a 5-10 minute stroll at the back of the hotel by the lake with nice views.
The dinner at the restaurant was good. The pillows could be firmer and the towels more plush. The junior suite we booked were spacious. Overall a good stay.

The building was beautiful and the room was nice and big. The view looking out is absolutely gorgeous. The view also in the back is amazing. Unfortunately, their breakfast did not match The view. Also, we thought the breakfast was complimentary and even then I wouldn't have eaten it, but I didn't realize we were getting charged even for the breakfast for how bad it was. Also there is not AC in all the rooms. Keep that in mind if it's a hot day that you go. Also the water is leaking out on the shower onto the carpet. Without there being AC it could cause some mildew buildup if they don't get on top of it. Even with those things we really enjoyed or stay.

This was a personal experience as we needed a hotel with lift which the hotel had. On the day of arrival we were told that the lift is not working and staff didn't have ideas when it will be repaired. Also we given a single bad quality fan in two rooms suite. The staff could not provide any additional fan in three days. The bathroom had no privacy. In a nutshell the whole experience was horrible for us personally.

We enjoyed the lake view from our room on the 4th floor. It was a world class grand view.

The receptionist were very helpful for our tourist related questions.

During our stay the elevator was not working though. We were there 5 days and we had to walk those 5 floors every time. The hotel staff did help carry our luggage when we checked in and also when we checked out.

The hotel was beautiful with a great view of the lake from our room. Diner was very good and the front desk was helpful in giving us ideas for activities. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable for me but my husband didn’t mind. It was also a little stuffy in the room so we opened the windows to get some lovely cool fresh air in the morning and evening.

Our room balcony overlooked lake Geneva and there is a swim platform out back so we had a glorious swim. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Restaurant and food were good. Nice Italian restaurant across the street. One complaint is since no AC you keep all windows and doors open and tons of small ants got in. A few aren’t a problem but they were everywhere. Bed, sink, table, floors. Aside from that this is an amazing hotel in a perfect location.

Beautiful location on the water and central in the town. Great service. There was a mixup with the rooms as we had 11 people travelling together, but the staff were easily able to make accommodations to adjust for us to make the best fit. Restaurant on site was great and the breakfast the following morning was superb.

We loved our room! The view was breathtaking! The breakfast was ok. This is a no alcohol hotel, though it has a bar, we did not know that - not advertised. When the main waiter found out we didn't speak German, he was quite rude, so we didn't do dinner there.

Beautiful room we had overlooking the Lake! Large room and large balcony. Nice bathroom. Clean room. Had a refrigerator and a sitting area in the room. 4 large windows and it overlooked the church which rang its bells. The balcony has a electric canopy that you can put out if it rains and had a little table/2 chairs. You can watch the boats go by. We walked to the castle close by. Was able to go to the town which had stores and restaurants (15 mins. from the place). Great buffet breakfast also. Everything closes early, so it you want to eat in the town, make sure you go early.

Checking in wasn't the best and not offered a welcome drink had to ask when the other couple we were with were offered one. Rooms dated and not great design, waste of space for sitting area when the bathroom is crammed into a small space. Road was noisy and church bells af 6.45am in the mornin.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We booked a balcony room with a lake view. There is no air conditioning in this room but we were able to open windows on both sides since it on the corner. The hotel restaurant was closed the days we stayed there, so we had to go other places for dinner. The hotel stay included a pass for the bus and the stop going towards Thun is right across the street and the bus towards Interlaken is about 50m down the road.

Staff were warm, helpful, friendly and courteous. The view of the lake, snow capped mountains and nearby old church was exactly what I desired and very breathtaking. Transportation was accessible to other areas as the bus stops were close by. We were also very happy to be surprised by the hotel with area bus passes to the surrounding areas, this made getting around a whole lot easier and we are very grateful for that. After visiting Interlaken and Grindelwald, which were very congested with other tourists, we were certainly extremely happy with our decision to stay at Bellevue Au Lac. We had a most pleasant stay, Hotel Bellevue Au Lac would definitely be our first choice if we decide to return to the area.

What a beautiful hotel in a lovely, quiet town. Honestly, there wasn't much to do in Hilterfingen - which was exactly what I wanted. The Bellevue is so pretty - charming old building - but so very comfortable. My room wasn't billed as having a lake view - which meant that it was on the side of the hotel. But what I had was a very comfortable balcony, with a stunning view of the lake and mountains on one side, and the charming Hilterfingen Kirche on the other! I could not have been happier with that location. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The room was well appointed, the bathroom was terrific with great water pressure and comfortable features. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. When I awoke, the clouds from the previous day had lifted, leaving even more spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Honestly, I'd give the Bellevue 100 out of 100 points. My one night there was definitely a highlight of my Switzerland trip.

We arrived at the end of the day after leaving Interlaken. Location was great for us as we were only looking for a place on our way to Lausanne. There is about 10 free parking spots on site. Lady at the reception was great. We had dinner there and it was delicious. We had a junior suite and room was very spacious and we dont have words that describes the view we had from our very large balcony. We could have stayed there all day. There was 2 free drinks in the mini fridge. It is an old building with charm but carpet could be repaced. We had a great stay.

Hotel is quite far from Interlaken, which is about 1 hour bus journey. The building is an old building. Toilet was renovated, but the room is small and carpet is old. Nice lake and mountain view from the balcony. The staffs are friendly. If you are look for hotel near Interlaken train station, this is abit too far for you.

We found just right, far enough away from the town centre for a peaceful experience. Town centre easily assessable via bus stop out the front or stroll the beautiful lakeside walkways to get to town centre. Views from lakeside room balcony outstanding. Super dog friendly hotel! We stayed two nights with our Corgi puppy and felt very comfortable and pleased with our stay. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with a great view of the lake. The hotel also offers pedal boats and paddle boards to go around Lake Thun and enjoy the view.

Magnificent hotel. Literally one of the best places I have ever stayed. The four course dinner tasting was fabulous and the direct views from the balcony were breathtaking. My family and I loved swimming in lake Thun and sunning in the lounge chairs. Thanks for the great adventure.

Very nice hotel with wonderful lake views

Hotel is very nicely located right on the lake, with wonderful views. Its an older building but very well maintained, with updated modern bathrooms. There was an odd odor in the room I was initially given, but there was no problem switching me to another room and in fact I received a free upgraded room form the very cordial reception staff without asking for it. There are grocery stores as well as very nice waterfront parks nearby. Free parking was a bonus too

Good hotel with nice views of the lake. Staff was friendly and did a quick check in.
Rooms were very nice and quite spacious...
It was a 25 mins drive from interlaken which was a bit too much for us. But then it was quiet and relaxing. Not many choices to eat nearby but we had our dinner in interlaken and came back to hotel to sleep.
Although I have no negatives about the hotel but if I come next time, I would choose a hotel nearer to interlaken...

I am an Expedia Gold+ member. I travel a lot and stay at many hotels throughout the year.

This hotel is located excellent near the lake. Nothing to complain about it.

Everything else, from bed quality to staff literally fails.

Extremely low quality pillows, very poor bedding, staff is helpful but looked undertrained.

If they can improve on these, they should get a five star. It is only 2 now because of close proximity to the lake.

We don't normally stay in three star hotels, but we took a gamble and I have to say this hotel is better than many five star hotels that we have stayed in. The food and service in the Hotel restaurant was simply superb, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we found the staff helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
We have stayed in many, many hotels before and have only recommended one before, (the Norton), but have no hesitation in recommending this stunning hotel to everyone.

The hotel is located in a beautiful place by the bank of a lake. Although it is a little bit far away from train stations, ferry and free bus can easily take you to the nearby transportation points. Staff in the hotel is super friendly as well and the facility is good.

We had the superior room with a balcony overlooking the lake and it was worth the extra money. The lake-mountain view is spectacular, breath-taking. The room was very cosy and comfortable and the bathroom great. Breakfast is great with eggs and bacon included. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside, no tea-making facilities in the room.

Stayed two nights with the kids. The view is perfect and there is kids play area in the garden. The room is very clean. But the selection of food for breakfast is limited. The staff is ok and there are a couple of times there is no one at the reception during day and I could find any staff for help. There is no kettle in the room and you have to go to the restaurant whenever you need hot water which is a bit painful.

A good spot for relaxing

Although the hotel is an old building, it has been recently renovated and provides a relaxing accommodation, except for the water pipe network which seems to have pressure problems as we experienced having hot water suddenly changing to cold water and low pressure several times.
The top of this hotel is definitely the quality of service. The staff (including the internships) is very nice and professional and will do all of its best to ensure you have a pleasant stay.

A very comfortable hotel, and reasonably priced considering the location. A very well appointed room with private balcony and stunning views. The Restaurant was extremely good as well, again with stunning views if you chose to use the terrace. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Wie erhielten nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung oder Entschädigung und mussten die Heimreise spät Abends wieder antreten. Schönes altes Hotel in super Lage

Sehr altes Haus, aber super Lage direkt am Thuner See. Wir bekamen ein Upgrade auf die Suite im 5. Stock und das war wirklich außergewöhnlich schön!
Frühstück war angemessen. Vom viel kritisierten Halal-Ambiente haben wir fast nichts gemerkt. Der fehlende Speck wurde durch Geflügelwürstchen kompensiert, also alles perfekt!

Läget vid sjön är helt fantastiskt fint! Tyvärr fick vi ett rum ut mot vägen, med fönstrena stängda var det ljudisolerat, men ha i åtanke att rummen saknar AC och således blir fruktansvärt varma och att öppna fönstrena för att få in frisk luft är förenat med ett fasligt oljud!

Helt okej frukostbuffé i trevlig lokal med möjlighet att sitta ute! Trevlig personal, både i frukosten och i receptionen,

Beautiful setting right on the lake with parking and right next to bus stop that takes you to Thun. Great breakfast. Needs better attention on the reception as there was no one there to do the check-in in the afternoon. Should've warned that the elevator was broken.

It gets incredibly hot in the rooms in the summertime. No cooling and old beds.
Very boring breakfast.
Nice garden and nice with your own access to the lake.
Too expensive.

Traumhaft, hoher Wohlfühlfaktor, direkt am See

Sehr zu empfehlen! Ich habe es enorm genossen, an diesem wunderbaren Ort zu übernachten. Das historische Haus, die direkte Lage am See, ganz nahe Einstiegsmöglichkeit zum Baden. Und „last but not least“, eine aussergewöhnlich aufmerksames, freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. (Empfang, Speisesaal ect., einfach überall! Danke für die schönen Tage.

Bel hôtel situé aux abords du Lac de Thoune. Personnes à la réception très accueillantes, surtout Tyra et Roman. Belle grande salle à manger donnant sur le lac. Emplacement de rêve.

Tolles Hotel. Allerdings war das Frühstücksangebot nicht so groß und am frühen Morgen hat die Heizung ab halb 5 laute Klopfgeräusche gemacht. Hab es beim Check-Out gemeldet und wurde sich gleich darum gekümmert.
Location ist super. Es gibt auch einige Restauraunts in nächster Nähe die zu Fuß zu erreichen sind.
