Room 233 should not be occupied by anyone taller than 5' in height. I twice hit my head on the ceiling that slopes into the room by nearly 4 feet.
Otherwise, we loved our stay. The location is perfect, parking is immediately next door, and the room and bath were well-appointed. Breakfast was ample. My best to Christine for her assistance before our arrival.

Everything was perfect except room facing street was very noisy on Sunday night not sure if it was truck noise/delivery or garbage pick up people were talking out loud past 2 am . Even with earplugs was little uncomfortable. Room is clean but basic . Lobby is very cute and staff are happy and helpful. Fresh grapefruit flavoured water was refreshing on arrival. Breakfast was decent (boiled eggs + some fruits , bread n cheese , jam )

Wonderful day! This is the perfect spot to do all my sightseeing in town. I don’t know what the young man’s name but one of your desk people spent a lot of time with me one day trying to get my email and Wi-Fi straightened out. We never did get it done, but he spent a lot of time helping me after he had just gotten off work. He is to be commended For going above and beyond to try to help me.

Clean, quiet, well-maintained hotel inside the old town. Very close to all sights. Lovely enclave balcony where one can sit in the sunshine in the privacy of one’s room. Wonderful patisserie a few steps away for morning coffee & croissant (so don’t bother buying a breakfast at the hotel if that is all you want). Area can be a bit noisy at night but rooms are nicely soundproofed. Would definitely stay here again. However, note that check-in time is 5pm, which may be a bit late for some (tho they will hold your luggage in storage until rooms ready.)

The hotel has an absolutely great location! Out of the hotel you are in the middle of the old city! A carpark is next to the hotel, just a bit narrow for today’s cars.
The hotel itself is economy style. The beds are small for two… the towels need a replacement… but all is clean and works for a short trip.

This was a lovely hotel in a fabulous location. We walked to every thing in the old town area. The staff was wonderful and the
Facilities were comfortable. We did not have the morning breakfast buffet but it looked very good. There is also a nice bar area. The rooms are small with comfortable beds. The only downside is the lack of amenities in the bathroom. The website said shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. but there is only an all in one body and hair wash. It is perfectly usable but if you prefer more - bring your own. Bathroom was extremely small and had poor ventilation leaving a bit of a mildew smell. Overall it’s a great boutique style hotel with a fantastic location - I recommend.

Homeless by the water alley

Lots of homeless people sleeping under the stairs of this hotel by the water.
Not what I was expecting or looking for. They looked drugged out and mentally ill. I would not have stayed here if I had known that in advance. It felt like we were on the edge of a sketchy area.
The hotel itself was clean and served a good breakfast. The entry door has a surveillance camera and screen I guess to deter uninvited guests. It is close to the old area of Annecy which felt safe once we got to it, about 2 minutes away.
I do not recommend this property because of the homeless people.

Mom and I truly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is close to everything: about an 8-minute walk to the Gare D’Annecy, very close to all the restaurants, shops, Annecy lake and of course old Annecy.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! There were eggs, sausages, pastries, cereals, cheeses etc.

One side of the hotel has some strange characters hanging around, but you don’t need to walk on that side anyway.

The perfect place to stay for wandering around the Old Town - very picturesque surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the staff and surroundings meant it was much easier to overlook that the room was a bit tired/shabby looking (but it was clean and warm).

The hotel is right on the canal and right in old town which is full of great restaurants, cafes and shopping. There is pay parking below the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lucas (bartender)Jeffrey, Maria ( front desk) and everyone else including the breakfast staff and room staff made the stay extra enjoyable. The hotel has a great inclusive breakfast.
There are snacks and adult beverages available for purchase all day at the bar. Great choice, will stay here again for sure. Thank you Ibis!

Best buffet and location in town

I’ve stayed here 4 times and will return. Walk in back to a charming square then the food alley. In front is the lovely canal. An easy walk to the train station and lake.

Right next to the river so we opened the window at night to sleep. Perfect weather for night breezes and the water was so relaxing. 8 min walk from the train station so no taxi needed! also very convenient to all the shops and restaurants. Short walk to the lake and Palais de isle and chateau annecy. Staff was very friendly and spoke English! So helpful to us. There was a charging station for your phone in the lobby. And a luggage room we could put our stuff in after we checked out. We had a big time gap until our train arrived so that was really great to not have to lug our bags around.
No safe or fridge in the room. We didn’t need one so it was ok
Water pressure is great. Bed is comfy. They only had large towels and no hand towels or rags. Part of an eco friendly initiative. There was a bench in the room which I liked to get ready. And thick blackout curtains also. We opened the window and then pulled the curtain across. It’s was great stay overall.

However the hotel definitely needs some upgrading, rooms are old and cold and bathrooms are quite grim.
