Not a place to return to, 3 star rating seems extremely generous. Very dated, almost clean, tired towels and not enough for all the family. Parking is actually public, and very limited. We could not find a space on any of the days and had to park on the pavement nearby. 2 star rating would be more accurate, felt massively overpriced for what you actually get. Reception staff were helpful. Not a hotel to come back to.

Good place to stay with excellent service

This is good hotel, a bit off the beaten path in terms of the old village and the lake but both about a mile away. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Nothing fancy - just a nice place to spend the night after sightseeing all day. The service at the hotel was excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help you out. I rented a a great e-bike from the hotel at a good price with none of the lines and hassles of renting them on the lakefront or in the village. The breakfast was good - again nothing spectacular - just reasonable food at a reasonable price to get you going on your day. I did not eat dinner at the restaurant as I chose to try local places in town but there were always guests having dinner there when I returned to the hotel a night. All in all a good place to stay!

Momma and Hotel Novell was a okay

Beds have seen there better days. Older hotel but decent for the price. Reason I chose this hotel was the free covered parking. Has nice bar and above average restaurant. Did not eat here but appeared adequate. 20 minute walk thru nice neighborhood to arrive at lakeside area or downtown area.

Internet was not high speed and could not connect Apple iPad or PC. Webinar with WHO on a Dell dropped out 3 times. No tea or coffee making facilities and was told that I could buy one at the bar. Staff managed to get my iPad working on a different router at reception only to be told it will probably not wok in the room on the 3rd floor. No offer to change rooms. So disappointed that after 2 hours we packed up and checked into the Splendid Hotel Annecy (fantastic). Spoke to Expedia given our gold status and when they contacted the hotel to see if we could get one nights refund of the 2 nights paid it was clear that the owner of the hotel lied to Expedia. What ever you do, avoid this hotel. The best thing we did was move to the Splendid hotel. Never, never go to this hotel.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were air conditioned (a lovely plus for Americans who are accustomed to AC) and the restaurant on site was convenient and tasty. Parking is easy and there is a Carrefour right around the corner for water and other essentials.

There were no fridges or microwaves in the rooms which was disappointing. The location was pretty far from the city center, and the busses stop passing after 8 so walking there takes a good 30 minutes. The room however is very clean and comfortable. It was still quite expensive.

The positive was that the staff was nice and that the hotel was in a quiet neighborhood only a few kilometers from Annecy. The room was disappointing - more of a basic 2 star experience. Judging by the pictures and the price we expected a bit nicer place. Our room was really cold (end of September stay and I had to wear a down jacket and a hat just to try to stay warm in the room) and when we tried to adjust the thermostat only cold air would blow out of the vent. We contacted the front desk, thinking maybe they controlled it from there. We were told they could bring us another source of heat if they could find it. We though they'd show up with a small radiator or heater but instead brought us an old, ragged looking blanket about 45 minutes later. Needless to say it wasn't a very pleasant night for us. The place has potential but they will need to make some changes soon.

it's a small but rather cozy place to stay for one or two days. The cleanliness is pretty good but the room facilities are quite simple. The location is kinda far away from the city centre but if you're driving a car, this won't be any issue at all. For those who lies on public transportation you might need to rethink cuz the bus comes once every two hours on Sunday.

We had a fairly pleasant stay for our extended weekend in Annecy. The room was simple but clean, as was the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment there. Our biggest complaint was the wifi. Only one device can be connected at a time, which meant my boyfriend and I had to take turns connecting our laptops which is quite annoying. Our data service was non-existent inside our room and the ability to only connect one device made working extremely difficult and frustrating (we both run online businesses). Also, there is no mini-fridge to keep cold drinks. You can get cold water from the bar downstairs but expect to pay 9 euros for 2 large bottles when across the street at the supermarket they are less than 1!

This is a three star hotel which meets the standard I would expect. My only complaint is the WiFi which kept dropping during connection. Apart from that everything was fine. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. We had dinner here one night but there are many better (and less expensive) places to eat in Annecy.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated being able to park the car by the hotel. Our room however was extremely tight for a family of 4. There was hardly any space to leave our bags or move around the room. The bunk beds were narrower than normal. During the night the air conditioning did not work and it was quite warm in the small room. Although the location was quite good I would think twice before staying again.

Hotel Novel, Annecy - good value choice

We stayed 2 weeks at this hotel, and we chose it for its value and availability. We had an excellent experience - the staff were very friendly and wanting to please, breakfast choice was good. The room was smallish but comfortable, the only gripe being lack of proper shower (just a shower head attached to the batch taps). Hotel was very quiet at night which was good. Restaurant perfectly decent (diificult to find a bad one in Annecy) though there are better ones in the town centre. Some might not like the fact that the position of the hotel is well away from the lake and the old town - it is in a fairly ordinary residential quarter. It is a longish walk but only a short drive to the town centre. If these factors don't put you off, I would definitely recommend.

Hotel Novel - overpriced for what it is

We stayed at this hotel during the Annecy Animation festival because it was pretty much the only thing left with empty rooms when we were booking. It is about 30 mins walking from downtown Annecy and about 15 from Annecy le Vieux, in the middle of Novel which is a fairly unexciting residential area.

The shower (at least in our room) was remarkably bad. It managed within seconds to fluctuate between freezing cold and burning hot irrespective of how much time you spent fine-tuning the temperature. Also several of the days we got towels that had stains on them.

There is a restaurant in the hotel where the breakfast is also served but on most of the days while we were there they were refurbishing parts of the lobby so the breakfast (which we never bothered having) would have been accompanied by drilling sounds and builders on ladders.

Anyway, to summarise, if you're desperate for a hotel in Annecy for whatever reason, this one is clean enough but if you have any other option, you will probably be better off..

Court séjour agréable en famille dans une chambre propre, fonctionnelle et dotée d'une climatisation. Hôtel un peu excentré du Vieux Annecy (à une 30 minutes à pieds de la plage de l'Impérial) mais dans un environnement calme. La literie mériterait d'être améliorée (le lit grince). Le personnel est bienveillant. Par contre, j'ai trouvé le prix du petit déjeuner élevé (15euros/personne).

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet hôtel très confortable et fonctionnel. Nous y avons été tres birn reçu par toute l'equipe et nous y avons mangé une excellente fondue. On s'y gare facilement et comme l' hotel est situé sur la route des stations de sport d'hiver, on peut même y prendre son petit dejeuner à partir de 6 heures du matin.

Hôtel restaurant d'assez bon rapport qualité-prix.
Situé à 2,5km environ du lac ( ~30' à pied) dans un quartier calme.

Tout ce qu'il faut pour y passer la nuit confortablement, clim, salle de bain avec une baignoire.
Personnel accueillant et agréable.

Pour ma part, la literie n'était pas des plus confortable (2 petits lits juxtaposés pour en faire un double), trop raide à mon goût, et comme dans beaucoup d'établissement, les joints de la sdb mériteraient d'être repris. Ça reste du détail.

Hôtel Excellent, personnel très acceuillant et fort sympatique. le restaurant est au TOP, le petit déjeuner parfait il y a tes tas de choix à volonté.

La chambre est très bien spacieuse, climatisée, salle de bains assez grande, des placards de rangement, une grande télévision, il manque juste un mini frigo pour avoir de l'eau au frais, mais il y a quand même le bar de l'hôtel.

Sinon il y a des navettes de bus gratuit du 1er juillet au 31 août, navette N° 2 ou navette N°3 mais l'idéale est la navette N°4 qui se prent à 300m de l'hôtel pour aller de l'hôtel à la vieille ville et au bord du lac et ça c'est vraiment super.

Tout a été parfait pour nous dasn cet hôtel et nous y reviendrons sans problème peut être cet automne ou même avant.

Lage war super. Auch wenn es bis an den See etwas zu laufen ist, ist die Gegend eine ruhige und sichere. Parkplätze sind allerdings Mangelware. Frühstück hatten wir keines. Das Zimmer für 4 Personen (Doppelbett und Stockbett) mit Bad war ok. Zwar eher eng mit all unseren Taschen auch wenn es einen Schrank gab, nur etwas sauberer hätte es sein können. Aber wenn man eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist, ist es nicht so schlimm. Personal sehr freundlich.

Accueil au top !

Superbe accueil dans cet hôtel avec restaurant. Tout le personnel est souriant et attentionné et on s'y sent très bien. Chambres confortables et hôtel calme. Parking souterrain à proximité et centre d'Annecy à 20 minutes à pied. Petit plus, possibilité de louer des vélos électriques directement à l'hôtel pour profiter des alentours. Je recommande, nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille.

Übernachtung auf Durchreise nach Südfrankreich. Nach langer Fahrt hätten wir gerne im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen - es hatte aber zu unserer Überraschung und ohne das auf der Website anzukündigen, geschlossen. Wir haben uns dann (bei ziemlicher Kälte) bei einem nahegelegenen Thai etwas Warmes \"to go\" besorgt, das wir freundlicherweise in der Bar des Hotels verzehren durften. Zimmer ok, Frühstück am Morgen dann gut, Service hat sich korrekt entschuldigt und war insgesamt sehr freundlich.

Malgré un incendie durant la nuit, l'accueil du personnel et leurs bienveillance a été fort agréable.
Nous n'avons pas gouter au repas.....

Havre de paix , après foule des berges du lac .

Notre séjour , dans cet hôtel , s'est très bien passé . Même s'il est un peu éloigné du centre , celui-ci est très facile à atteindre . L'hôtel lui-même est agréable ; les chambres sont assez spacieuses et bien aménagées . Parking à proximité immédiate : OK.
