Jose is a concierge rockstar!!

Amazing experience from the start at the concierge desk with Jose. Great personality, professionalism, friendliness! Ask him for a map of suggested areas of interest and unsafe areas of the city, and ask him for \"staff's pick\" of restaurants. It is extremely helpful. All staff members were friendly and helpful, but Jose went above and beyond expectations! Hotel is conveniently close to train and bus station, and popular tourist attractions.

The hotel was nice but driving to it was a horrible experience. The room was kind of small. There was an oversize TV mounted on a wall so that it overhung the wall. My wife hit her head on it quite hard when she bent down to pick up something on the floor. Poor choice of set and location

We parked at the multi storey across from the hotel which was really convenient. The hotel is in a great location for the town and lake. Very easy walking both day and evening. We arrived a bit early and the lovely lady at reception booked us in with a slight upgraded room. The room was lovely. Beautifully decorated and presented. We didn’t eat here but overall a great hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Deceiving advertising

Terrible cold impersonal service - unhappy faces when you ask for information, like you bothering them. Huge disappointment- I was looking for “Best Western space and comfort “ . Room looks like super small and not comfortable. I expected brand quality, but hotel hardly qualifies for its stars. On top of that they shut the whole electricity supply exactly at 11 am when you check out. Wow!

Hotel Carlton is a nice hotel near the historic district in Annecy. Lots of restaurants and things to do nearby. The parking was odd as it was cheaper to use the underground paring nearby than the actual hotel parking. The lift was small so we often used the stairs, but the room was nice and as advertised. Overall a nice experience.

I'm so glad I found this hotel.

Large, clean, modern rooms and lobby. Courteous and helpful staff. A three-minute walk from the train station and from major tourist sites. Many fine restaurants nearby. Good breakfast served in the am.
I've never thought about staying in a Best Western Hotel before, I'll have to rethink that because this is definitely a 4-star hotel.

Worst Best Western

The staff were excellent, but we had problems with room. My wife closed the shower doors and one of them came out of track and fell on her. She screamed and i took the shower door off her, thank god she was not hurt. The room had a fancy coffee maker however it leaked water if you did not use it immediately.

Very nice hotel, close to the railway station.

Very nice room. Enough space for two adults with very nice amenities. Robes, slippers, toiletries, and very nice towels !

Hotel is a block from the train station. Small room but clean and quiet. The room had an Espresso machine in it which made my wife happy. Hotel is close to the center of town. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Close to Train station

This stay was just overnight. I had stayed for a couple of nights earlier in the week and loved it, then left for Chamonix and needed a place to overnight on my return. The convenience to the train station and the helpfulness of the staff were great.

Annecy Weekend

Check in wasn't till 3 so we left the bags and went get familiar with the surroundings. When we did get to our room it was adequate. The only English speaking channels were BBC World News and CNN, very disappointing. One bottle of complimentary water between two people.

Great!

The hotel's location is perfect. We also very much liked the interior design style. The breakfast was very good and the service was great, both at the reception and at the breakfast.
The only comment I would have is the size of the room. It was rather small - the distance between the bed and the walls allows hardly one person to pass.
Otherwise all great!
Many thanks to the gentleman at the reception who was very friendly and helpful in recommending nice restaurants and making a table booking!

the staff were very friendly and helpful indeed. The only 'bemol' was that the room was extremely small (room 703) the price was decent Euros 125/night, but even at that price, the room was Very small. Otherwise it was very comfortable... A balcony would have been very welcome - especially as the room was tiny.
