The staff was friendly and helpful. You could tell the rooms had been updated. Things were clean, the bed was comfy, and breakfast was simple but good. The pool wasn't open yet, so I can't speak on that. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Site says desk open 24hrs. When arrived no one there. However, they nicely left an envelope with my name on it and directions to my room.

At first glance we were happy.
Then:
-Opened fridge and an opened coke bottle was in there.
-Pulled sheets up and there was a pen inside the sheets and hair all over the right side of the bed.
-Shower pan black swirls
Room wasn’t cleaned properly from prior guests.

On the surface, this appears to be a recently renovated hotel. The female staff member at check in was kind and helpful. Once we arrived in our room, we realized that there were many maintenance issues. For example, the shower did not work, the phone did not work, there was no remote for the TV and the ice machine in the hall made noise but did not produce any ice. We were given access to a second room in a different building so that we could shower.

The property grounds were not well maintained. Buildings and concrete structures need paint, the gardens were torn up, tree limbs lying all over the grass.

A continental breakfast was advertised between 7 and 10am. This is a big reason we chose this hotel. We arrived just after 7 and there were no employees in sight. The office was locked. Within a few minutes over 20 guests had gathered expecting to check out and get a quick breakfast. Soon, nearly all had left. Close to 7:30, a guest called the after hours phone line to summon an employee. We were able to get a cup of coffee and a muffin before leaving. There was NO way this breakfast offering would have accommodated all of the guests who left, unwilling to wait for the employees to show up. There were less than 5 muffins and 5-6 pieces of fruit. Yogurt were there but locked up.

Room was pretty clean, was a dark mark on the sheets like a pen had exploded somewhere in the washer/dryer. We came in to the room and the bathroom sink was running and luckily we got in there in time to turn it off and open the drain to prevent a flood. Staff was super friendly and super busy, they deserve nothing but respect for all they do! We always saw them doing something and keeping busy so we appreciated it. Overall would stay again!!!

I saw some of the negative reviews and was a bit nervous, but everything was great! We did online check in, our room was ready on time, and it was very nice! My only complaint was that the fridge had open items left by a previous guest. Otherwise, we loved the jetted tub and sauna, the bed was comfortable, and everything else was fine. Checked out online as well. I would definitely stay here again! And being pet friendly, maybe next time I'll bring my dog!

There was no sound insulation between rooms and our neighbors weee loud. The man in the room next to us was snoring and it was so loud that it felt like he was in our room. Our room door would only lock with the deadbolt while inside, so we were unable to leave our room unattended. Police presence in our hallway for an unknown reason left us feeling unsettled with an unlocking door. No one staffing the front desk late in the evening. Awful waterproof mattress pad on bed was uncomfortable and hot to sleep on. Do not recommend this hotel.

The staff was courteous and friendly, but not very available (and possibly understaffed).
Rooms were clean and newly decorated in cute, retro mid-century/1980s style. Yet the flooring and walls were thin and bathroom fixtures felt flimsy. Everything in the hallway could be heard in our room. Bed and linens were uncomfortable and not great quality.

We were part of a group staying in multiple rooms. 2 parties had to be moved to other rooms because of slow drains. One party peek the sheets back to find many black hairs on the sheets. House cleaning came immediately, however the the guests were told that the cleaning people were foreign & DIDN’T ALWAYS CLEAN THE SHEETS BETWEEN GUESTS IF THEY APPEARED CLEAN!!!
Our room also had hair in all the corners & around the moldings. Our shower leaked horribly causing a significant puddle in our bathroom that we had out all the towels on the hold back the water from spreading throughout the bathroom. The top of the faucet handle would come off when you pushed the handle back to turn the water on. It was probably one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in decades of travel.

Very satisfied with our stay here. The property is comfortable and quiet, pet friendly and included both a jetted tub and a sauna in the room. The front desk staff was excellent and very friendly. The walls were very thin and I could hear what the next room over was watching on tv. But there isn’t much you could do about that.
The heater was not working. It would switch on for a couple of minutes then make a screeching sound. So we went without heat. My son was asleep so we didn’t want to ask to change rooms. We need to stay here in July for a wedding and my hope is there won’t be issues!

Will never stay again. No one told us in advance it was 2 stories with no elevator and they would only give us rooms on the second floor. The walls must be very thin with little insulation because we could hear the late night parties in the hallway and outside all night so we could not fall asleep until the wee hours and we needed to get up early. The bathroom floor was disgusting. Horrible experience.

Staff is not at all friendly or welcoming. Breakfast is horrible, they even ran out of plates, coffee machine was not working, we decided to get breakfast in town instead. For 400$ a night you would expect a descent hotel, with functioning A/C in the room (of course it did not work) Walking on the floor makes many creaking sounds and the walls are thin so you can hear everyone. Would never stay here again. Anywhere else in the world $400 would give you a true 3 star maybe even 4 star experience, this was horrendous. Not 3 stars more like 1. Avoid at all costs.

First, Cliff, the front desk person, was wonderful. He gets 5 stars. The hotel itself? Not good at all. It was like putting. Afresh coat of paint on a rusted out 70 year old car. The room 2102 was in very bad condition, \"jet tub\" was scraped all over, was filthy and then didn't even work after filling it for an hour. Ceiling tiles were a mess. Everything was terrible. He switched our room to 2114.. it was updated more than the previous room, but we were grossed out. This hotel chain needs to step it up a notch. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

We noticed a smell in our room right away. They tried to cover it up with some extra air fresheners, but we found mold in the bathroom. The staff members were not super friendly and the breakfast accommodations were very lacking. I would not recommend this place.

I deserve some kind of refund. Showed up to check in at 3 and was unable to because of an internet problem. I called many times and got no answer. I had to completely change my plans it caused me to drive 30 minutes out and back. When I came back the office was closed and my key was in an envelope on the office door.

Was not easy to find. The property signs were visible but the property is up a hill behind another property. The signage provided no indication of that. I was sent a message and completed the pre check in online but there was no knowledge of that when I arrived despite having taken a picture of my license prior to arrival and having given all the information on the pre arrival check in earlier that day. This raised so suspicion on my part.

I was given a key after providing all the information to the person at the desk. All I was told was I was in the building next door. No other information was offered.

The room was adequate for a short stay.

Upgrades done are good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a MAJOR issue with room key reader that needs to be addressed immediately. We had group of 36 guys stay for mid week golf trip. They were very accommodating but I had to have my key re-programmed 8 times in 3 days and several others needed reprogramming throughout our stay. Overall recommend this hotel for a stay. We stay here every year for almost 30 years.

The room and bathroom were renovated/modern and very attractive. My only concern was there was only one bath towel, no hand towel or washcloth and no soap/shampoo. I didn't want to walk down to the desk as it was a distance outside and after dark. Hopefully, this was an idolated QA issue.

Messy paint job in our bathroom with black paint spots on the yellow tile, no handle to open patio door, holes visible in the door where the old knobs were prior to Wyndham ownership,etc. the property is tired and old feeling despite being ‘renovated. The bed was very comfortable though and the location was great.

The rooms are nice. Loved the renovations done but they are already getting a little worn. The buildings are just old! With no elevators!! Landscaping around the buildings really needs a lot of work too. I was excited about enjoying pool but it looked very dirty. Especially in the deep end. We felt the water was too dirty to even swim in.
Bennington has been a favorite destination for us for years. The mountains are gorgeous. The old buildings are fascinating and beautiful, but I was shocked by how run down Main St has become. There was dog poop everywhere on the sidewalks and around most of the sidewalk trees. Many of the store fronts were vacant. The saving graces were the people who did have shops and restaurants. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming..

The property is nice overall. The room is large, the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had to have one lamp changed out as soon as we checked in because it didn't work. The shower was nicely tiled but the water controls were too low on the wall and you had to stand in the shower spray to turn it on and adjust the temperature because of the way the shower doors were installed. This means you had to endure a cold water blast before getting any warm water. We also had some trouble getting the door to lock on leaving. On check out the office was closed and locked so we could not obtain a receipt or get some morning coffee. I understand it is a newer property and they are still working out some bugs. To t heir credit, the staff was quick to respond to our problems.
