The staff was very friendly, but as a single woman I wouldn’t stay here again. On the ground level, and there were no shades or black out curtains. You could see through the curtains and I could hear voices outside my window. The room was also freezing and took forever to heat up. I feel the heat could have been turned up before I arrived.

The room is not properly cleaned. The light lamp has a spider web.
Hotel staff know we are coming and staying in the room. They didn't turn on the heat for us. The room was cold.
When I book the hotel, it shows free breakfast. But there is no breakfast.

The place was convenient for my needs but was old and needs upgrades for the price charged. My biggest upgrade idea is room darkening shades and thicker curtains. You could see through the curtains into the 1st floor rooms at night. Breakfast was really good though!

The room was old and rather shabby. Old, thin curtains that could be seen through. No noise insulation between rooms. Continental breakfast to be avoided. The bed and pillows were good.

The people who run the place were polite and I am sorry for this negative review but I would not stay here again, and I would not recommend it to friends.

A place to rest your head.

In an effort to keep things short and sweet; parking is tough with a truck - the motel was full. We picked this hotel because everything in the area was booked for the weekend. When we arrived we were handed a hotel key in a paper sleeve that looked like it had been used for 100 guests before us. The room neat but everything in it was worn and furniture dirty. No blinds other than thin curtains that would allow for anyone to see inside. Kids toys, old hotel furniture and construction debris outside on the property. Staff was nice enough but would avoid staying here again unless all other options had been exhausted.

We stayed in the \"other\" building as the staff described it. This was the worst room I have ever stayed in. I killed two bugs and 4 spiders. Had to clean spider webs that were hanging over the bed. There were multiple stains on the floor and on towels. I highly recommend anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.

When first approaching the property my initial thought was “ oh boy, I paid a lot for this!” The outside appeared small and old but everything else about it was great. Clean, very friendly front desk people, quiet, comfortable. The room was updated and had great water pressure in the shower, spacious room and very comfortable beds.
( I also realized that if I had looked at all the pictures on the page I would have seen exactly what I was purchasing. I had a mental image of a HJ being a large high rise kind of hotel. Also, while I feel I paid a lot for one room, it was also the least expensive in the area.)

The hotel was clean and staff was nice. My only two complaints were I feel like the pictures of the room that were posted, and the room I got were different. There were holes in the wall, water stains going down the wall, and the window above my AC was busted and they did a shotty patch job. Don’t get me wrong, the room was clean. It just looked like they remodeled the rooms and gave it the landlord special

I love this little hotel, it’s my go-to when I’m in the Berkshires. But this trip was a fail. A room on a hard to get to. No microwave or refrigerator (as advertised). The curtains were flimsy and didn’t close adequately.

The rooms were tasteful, cheerful and emaculate. We have been searching for lovely, reasonably priced accommodations for our annual trips to Williamstown and we have definitely found them here. The beds were so comfortable, the room felt spacious and the bathroom had extra perks. We will return , highly recommend!

For a short stay, this is a good choice Check in was easy The room was very cold, heat was off and did not warm up for at least 3 hours Note to management: maybe set the heat to 60 on weekends? I thought the microwave was broken, it was unplugged Same thing with the little coffee maker

Bathroom appears recently updated the large wall tiles look easy to clean, there are no handholds or anything to grab onto if you slip though, Floor is super slippery
Bathtub does not hold water, I desperately wanted a hot bath due to the bone chillingly cold room
Restaurant is advertised: not found There is a modest, breakfast area but n o indication of a restaurant
The absolute worst thing was the morning noise- there was a light dusting of snow, and a gentleman was plowing the parking lot He had the plow dropped so low that I expected to see chunks of asphalt flying through the air each time he scraped across a section of the lot

I appreciate the fact that they let me check in early right after work to get some sleep but I couldn’t even sleep, there were no curtains 😩 the light was shining through, the door lock was broken, the place was so sketchy and the hot water took more than 5 minutes to get hot. For the price of this a night, they should have better conditions or at least some curtains!!

Well I wasn't expecting the Ritz but I was very disappointed. The non- smoking room smelled terribly of stale smoke. The windows were open when we came in and there were no screens! So, of course, mosquitoes were inside so we had to deal with that before we could relax. There were no hand or face towels either. Air conditioner was so noisy we had to shut it off so we could sleep and, unfortunately, because there were no screens on the windows we couldn't open them and it was very hot in there overnight.

Happy I stayed here. The girls at the front were pleasant and the room was even better. Nice soft bed and pillows, nice bathroom recently renovated. Nice running AC unit. Breakfast was nothing hot but they did have hard-boiled eggs and great fresh juice options including guava. Bread/bagels offered was pretty fresh.

Check in was slow process with many interruptions due to incoming calls given priority. Then the first given room had no electricity working in one wall. 2nd room provided pretty quickly and tho it was clean and comfortable there were no bar/s of soap or shampoo and no closet or extra pillow. The breakfast area was also being used for storage of stacks of boxes and furniture in corner and no AC here or front lobby/desk.

Everything was very clean and the desk staff was very polite. The pool was closed, the TV didn't stay on, chair in room was broken, and large gap on bottom of door allowed mosquitoes in. Perfect for one night because of location.

Very surprised!

I was the first to stay in a newly renovated room. The carpet, curtains and bathroom were brand new and it felt it. The room felt fresh and clean. My two critiques are: No wall outlets in practical places. It made charring electronics challenging. I ended up unplugging the microwave and alarm clock as they were the only outlets available. The second is there was no toilet paper holder. Perhaps an oversight. There is plenty of wall space to install one rather than leaving it on the toilet tank.

The state was average, not sure if it was because I got a reduced rate through hotels.com but I was put in a different section of the motel. The entry door to the hallway of the building did not lock and it appears that it had not been finished. This was the same way it was last year at the same time. The refrigerator had a block of ice as though it had never been defrosted or even looked at because it damaged the freezer section of the refrigerator. The bed slanted toward the head. And there was chunks of plastic missing out of the lens for the light in the bathroom. Would that aside the room was clean and the staff was courteous.

Our door didn’t shut correctly. Just wouldn’t shut all the way. Also, there was a window in the bathroom with no covering on it. When we checked in the front representative awkwardly asked my son if he was my child. Not really sure why that is important. Really weirded out my son. I didn’t sleep all night worried if someone would be able to get into our room.

We were quite surprised & disappointed that the “Howard Johnson’s “ by Wyndham did not live up to expectations. The room was definitely “vintage” but other than the toiletries & towels, there were no modern upgrades.

Unfortunately, we were awakened by extremely loud beeping & lights at 4:30 a.m. Apparently, there are road & electric crews, in this case from Indiana, working night shifts to repair damage from the recent floods. God Bless Them.

Finally, the breakfast & coffee were subpar as well. We washed it all down with our dream of a vintage HoJo motel. Live & learn.
