The Maritime is always an amazing treat to look forward to in Bantry. It has incredible staff, a great standard of cleanliness, amazing amenities, delicious food and within walking distance of Bantry town itself. You’ll enjoy great views of Bantry Bay from your bedroom window. Everybody should have it on their list.

Staff were helpful at check-in and in the bar. Cleaning staff didn't service our room, so free tea, coffee and milk supplies were not restocked.
Bathroom was looking tired around sink.

The Maritime had a luxurious feeling about it at a very reasonable cost. The room was very nice and I was cheerfully given a harbor view room upon request, the facilities were clean, staff was friendly and the food was excellent. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices and quality food. Nice bar with a good menu. Conveniently located within close walking distance to downtown, one doesn’t require a car to visit the town. Overall, a top shelf stay.

Great location on the edge of Bantry downtown, walkable and easy access. Rooms were very nice, clean and modern. Parking is underground (accessed across the street) we found ample space and good access to the hotel. The only issue we had was with breakfast, we choose the room service card on the door and ordered a bowl of oatmeal each. The card was not priced, but when we went to check out the cost with room service ended up being around 50 euros, which was our most expensive breakfast in 3 weeks touring for a bowl of porridge. Buyer beware!

Beautiful stay, wonderful room with fabulous amenities (great quality organic local toiletries)
Very welcoming staff. The restaurant and bar staff very attentive, with great dining options. Comfortable bed with delicious breakfast in the morning. Sadly I didn’t have the opportunity to use the leisure centre as took a stroll around the beautiful town and harbour. Great history and stunning surroundings.

The staff deserve a special mention they make this hotel. All of them are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble.. Creven in the bar who we saw most days was always smiling and extremely well mannered. Liked ease of parking and leisure facilites the bar and restaurant were also great with sports showing and live music daily.
Road noise and a fan like noise in the room even when air conditioning/ heating were off were not good and the hotel can't help this but slamming of room doors early in the morning. We had to keep asking for extra sugar as when room was replenished we only ever had 2 satchets. If you ask at the bar they do provide you wuth this and also fresh milk as I am unable to drink UHT. Breakfast was also vety good with lots of choice.

Parking is across the street in the hotel. Parking area, very tight but free. Excellent hotel room, was very quiet, clean, lots of heat and air conditioning. Breakfast hot and cold was included. Downtown is a minute away to walk around. Front desk lady at check-in On a Tuesday night, Zanda, was great and informative about the surrounding area.
I would stay here again, bed was comfy.

Comfortable bed and pillows! Large room with the King bed. We had a tub and a shower. Breakfast fabulous and restaurant and bar food also fabulous. We have stayed at other accommodations in Bantry but we like the Maritime Hotel the best. Great location in town near the bus stop for Cork and near restaurants and shops.

Quite a good hotel, clean and relativity modern. Only negative issues are perhaps the room housekeeping. Silly issues that were sorted quickly by the hotel... perhaps, more attention to detail. Rather small breakfast room....our room did overlook the main road.

It was fine. It was under some renovation at the time but it didn’t disturb. It is just a very average corporate hotel. For the same price or a little more you can stay in a more charming residence all around Ireland.

the issue was the EV charger that we were promised there would be no issue with - we called a week before our arrival and also the day we were due to arrive - were told only what we wanted to hear and had all sorts of difficulty on arrival resulting in us having to cancel our plans the saturday night - very very disappointing - i have voiced this already but heard nothing back , only reason i am sending another review is hotel.com emailed me

The Maritime has seen better days. The facility deserves updating. The original physical layout is unusual with the breakup and different levels in parts of the building. The restaurant is adequate but not the outstanding culinary experience as advertised. Very nice staff.

Our room was at the front. Usually, I ask for a room at the back. Glad I didn’t here. Fantastic sunset.
Bantry is a lovely town. We did the Sheep’s Head peninsula this time. We plan to return to the Maritime next year to do Mizen.

So surprised at this place, did not expect as much as it had to offer, it was beautiful! Food was delicious, staff friendly, everything you’d expect from an Irish hotel. Breakfast was the best (apart from my sisters house) I’ve had on my whole three week trip, through various parts of the country. Pauline, my breakfast waitress was excellent, courteous, friendly and had a word for everyone she met. A treasure.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Maritime. This hotel has a lovely atmosphere. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. They took time out to chat with people and made you feel like a valued guest. Food and drink service were very good and not too pricey. We had a one bedroom suite which allowed us an element of self catering but with hotel facilities. This is a perfect base location for touring West Cork.

Take another look around, but trust me on Kimsale

The hotel wasn't fully opened with limited services. Probably not an issue in high season but annoying during my staff. A lot of new staff that were only learning so again not an issue for the high season traveller. Small gym but the equipment is servicable. Couldn't get access to the pool due to servicing which was annoying. Breakfast was limited and our breakfast was cut short due to the arrivial of new furniture. So on the plus side new furniture in the bar.

Over all it was disappointing.

We used this trip to suss the hotel out as a wedding reception venue; verdict: Epic Fail.

Kinsale is an amazing spot and we'll be back but there are other options that would cater to your needs better.

If you are attending a gig / event in the hotel it might be a solid option but not the right fit for a romantic get away or wedding reception.

Was a lovely holiday in a very nice hotel, cleaned and good service. The only problem for me was that I had to go every day to reset the room key cards, which was a little annoying especially when you had to come from the pool with the kids.
Overall a very highly recommended hotel.

I loved that this Hotel was right near the water. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant was awesome. The breakfast was awesome too. The rooms were beautiful and the whole Hotel was lovely. We also had massages while we were here and they were awesome. Unfortunately we did not bring and swimming stuff and were not able to use the pool and hot tubs while we were there. The parking was also convenient.

The lobby with the open fire and gorgeous decor was very inviting and cosy especially with the weather outside being cold and icy. The room was lovely and clean and comfortable and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return when we are next visiting the area. We didnt get a chance to visit the bar or restaurant this time but we are looking forward to trying them in the future.
The pool and jacuzzi were also very nice and clean and not too busy.

All good with the room and parking. Also very welcoming staff at the reception desk. However, the breakfast was really bad. We paid for full Irish breakfast, but the food was cold, untasty (bad coffee, cheap beans - guessing it was the Supervalu brand) and served on a dirty table. The staff keen on to finish early - they started to remove some options (juice) before the last guests finished.

The Maritime hotel is wonderfully located just on the edge of the town. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is huge and the leisure centre is well equipped.
The only negative is with no A/C and the need to keep windows open at night, there is definitely traffic noise on the road/harbour side.
In spite of that, we had a great time and would recommend.

Stayed here for two nights with my elderly parents. Couldn’t fault the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Check in and check out very quick. Our rooms were lovely and the bed was so comfortable- had the best night’s sleep there in ages! We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to stay in Bantry.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of bantry, this is the view from our hotel bedroom, plenty of parking in the underground car park, All the staff were so friendly and helpful, Beautiful breakfast with plenty of different options and choices, bar is lovely and comfortable with great choices of alcohol drinks cocktails ,whiskey ,gins and beers ,restaurants is great with lovely choices of food, I recommend the sea food chowder and lovely seabass had no room for dessert it was all really tasty and my wife agrees. Are hotel room was great a little bit confusing at first to find it but once you get used to the hotel layout it's fine

The hotel is not clean. Arrived on Sunday. Room wasn't cleaned Monday. Checked to find out why they said new policy was cleaning every second day. Tuesday room wasn't cleaned again. Asked why. Policy is not to clean every day we were told. Explained we were there since Sunday. We were hiking and swimmimg and mountain biking. Room was getting grubby. We had to use our own towels and buymilk for the room. Person came to room under duress Tuesday. Tidied bed and provided clean towels. No hoovering or cleaning. Wednesday no sign of anyone. Thursfay no one. We both went downat different times to complaon. Roomwas finalky cleaned late Thursday. No ome on Friday and we left Saturday. Stairwell carpets are dirty. Corridor carpets dirty and are not being hoovered. They clearly don't have staff for cleaning and should not be packing the hotel so full. Restaurants are packed. Would not recommend particularly in light of Covid.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Maritime, the staff were very friendly and professional, the service was great and the food excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean but there are some signs of wear and tear that will need addressing, especially as we head into the busy season after lockdown. However, that is a minor gripe and overall we would highly recommend the Maritime, so much so we're planning on coming back soon!
