We stayed at room 211. Had nothing to do with the pictures. Extremely below expectations room. Ugliest bathroom and room I have ever seen. Radiators didn’t work. Water did only get warm and not hot. Terrible experience all around. Definitely would not recommend.

Nice hotel hidden away down a narrow alley in the centre of the old city, which is very handy when you are exploring on foot. Minimal staff.. you can't check in between 11am and 3pm because there's nobody there! When they are there, they are friendly and helpful and will suggest places to eat etc.
There are plenty of places to eat within five minutes walk, including a very nice creperie
Very comfy and clean room, but our first night was spoilt by noisy couple in room above.

I decided to book this hotel because I was going for a more 'local' (no big chains) hotel. The room was nice and very beautifully decorated, but the space in the bathroom was very limited. The shower space was extremely small, making it difficult to shower. The bathroom sink was also very small.

It was ok. The pictures on the website do not match reality. I think the rate is overpriced and not worth it. We couldn't connect to the wifi, wasn't given a password. When we reached out for the password, we were directed to a recording that was in French (I do not speak French).

Super staff! Loved the area for shopping and sightseeing. Lots of food options. Parking was 5 mins away easy to spot and a cheap 14€ overnight. Room is well decorated, has great AC/heat system. Staff is super nice and helpful. The red carpets are soooo clean and nice it has a Moulin Rouge feeling. Loved it!

Perfect central location with good parking nearby. Room 104 was good size, bed super comfy and enough space for bags and clothes. Bathroom and toilet spotless and had everything I needed. My only downside was noise from the alley under my window. Gendarmes and late night revellers very loud outside.Soon moved on when I said “ shhhh” out of the window at 2am.
Breakfast good enough selection for €10 but plenty of eating places very close. For a rugby weekend great choice and good price.

Grim. Don’t believe the photos. The room is more the size of a prison cell. One shelf under the window that didn’t lie flat. View from window was A/C units for all other rooms. Bathroom so small door wouldn’t open fully as obstructed by the toilet. Tiny curtained in shower cubicle which had grubby grout in the tiles and around the seals. “Wardrobe” was curtained off MDF shelving with a couple of hangers. Only decent thing was the wifi

Hotel was very dated, which I could accept, but the furniture loked like old bits of cast-offs, rickety and non-matching. Old wood--chip wallpaper, on some walls. The bathroom had a bath, which was clean but old, but with no means of fixing the shower to to the wall. There wasn't enough hot water for one complete shower. The hotel was central and the sheets were clean, but the experience was basic. It was a bed, no more.

We didn’t know what to expect from Hotel de la Loge when we booked the room. First, let me start by saying this hotel is centrally located in the old town. It was close to shopping, dining, bares, and not far at all from both the airport and the train station. You can’t beat the location!

Now, as for the property, the staff couldn’t be kinder or more helpful. They were really great and always friendly. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was the only thing I would criticize and the criticism is purely a manner of taste. I hate bathtubs and this bathroom had a bathtub. I would have preferred a room with just a shower. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Central, quiet, basic but good value for money!

Very central, great for access to restaurants and bars. Only access is on foot (100m from the road). Building is great, old and interesting. Rooms are quite basic and ours would have benefited from a new mattress. Breakfast Crossiants were amazing. In summary, If you want somewhere quirky to rest your head for a night then this place is good value for money. If you want a luxury hotel spend more and stay elsewhere.

Great hotel in the middle of the old town

It's excellently located. There are lots of little restaurants and bars around in the small laneways if you go looking. It's near a lot of historical sites. The building itself I think is hundreds of years old, which is pretty cool! Staff were lovely, helpful, and check in/out was all so easy. Great price as well.

Friendly helpful staff. Location superb - right in the centre of town. Our room was okay but could do with a bit of a makeover. We didn't spend much time in there though so not a problem. We had breakfast every morning but think it could be improved. Maybe some fruit salad, a choice of yogurts - there was only natural- and muesli/granola type cereals. On the whole we had a very enjoyable time and would use the hotel again.

Great location

Funky old hotel in the old part of the city - it worked for us. The room was a little on the worn side and had that faint waft of cigarettes of days gone by smell. The mattress was of a certain age and maybe should be retired. We were there on a Sunday night and the front desk was abandoned after 9:00 PM and we were saddened because we needed a corkscrew and nobody was around. Otherwise it was great and a pleasure to wake up, look out the widow and see the narrow streets of the old city.

very convenient location

although it was difficult for us to find from the street -- it is down some steps and through a narrow passage-- it is conveniently located and comfortable. The reception staff could not have been nicer!! They answered all our questions slowly and clearly in English and made sure we understood especially about the car park. Breakfast is definitely worth 7.50euro with a variety of fresh fruits, cereals, yogurt and cheeses, baguette, and croissant. Hotel Laloge is a good budget hotel. Wifi was very strong. No problems.

Nice hotel in old part of town

We loved our stay at the Hotel de la Loge. The young couple who owns the place were so sweet and helpful, ever-ready to make us a dinner reservation, give us directions, or call a cab. They don't speak a lot of English but communication was relatively easy nonetheless.

The rooms are small, as one expects in older hotels in Europe, but clean and comfortable. There are pretty decorative touches throughout the hotel, and an elevator also.

Breakfast for 8 euros was tasty--as long as there are croissants and coffee, I'm happy!

We'd go back in a second. Really a great place with lots of charm.

Nothing really wrong about this hotel, just lots of niggly thinks that get you. Only one pillow per person, One chair per room (plastic and uncomfortable). Small TV with remote you have to be within one metre to operate. Plus if they are going to attract foreign guests, have at least one English News channel- all in French + 4 Catalan channels. Plus I looked- no minibar & no hot breakfast available.

On the plus side, you cannot get more central, you are a one minute walk to the main Plazas, the Cathedral & the Gatehouse!

Older family run small hotel in a historic building, very conveniently located, cosy and comfortable, with an eccentric decor that mixes 60's pieces with ancient setting. very friendly staff. we had a comfortable basic room. GOod shower, nice breakfasts, thoughtful touches.Would happily stay here again.

Room was very big. It was clean. Our bathroom although spacious had some old fixtures. It has the charm of a very old castle which is what drew us to it. Lobby could use some updating. Looks as though efforts are being made to update rooms. Loved the location in the heart of a shopping area. Wish it was easier to find and had a place to pull up to, to unload luggage. Some of our group loved the rooms and some did not.

Really good location, central but no issues with noise. Room was a small double but I knew that when I booked it and I was travelling alone so not a problem, they do have larger doubles. Basic and the bathroom could do with updating but it was clean and comfortable. Would recommend for a short stay at a good price. I visited to attend a match at the Catalans Dragons rugby league club and it was ideal - near bars and restaurants, near to the bus stop to get to the ground but also within walking distance for the historic tourist attractions. View from the top of Le Castillet amazing.

Hotel in very old building with much character.

Nicely renovated in pedestrian only part of old inner city. (Medieval). Park in an underground public parking lot and obtain address for theft from the hotel. They arranged a discounted rate which is substantial. This garage is only a few hundred feet from the hotel and is very convenient. The staff is excellent and kind and pleasant.
The room we stayed in had a double and a single bed and was very spacious. Bathroom, toilet very clean and modern.
Suggest the hotel invest in a firmer mattress for the double bed, but otherwise no complaints. We shall return if possible.

The only thing that let down our stay was the bed in room 203. For both my partner and I the mattress was too soft and we had a bad nights sleep because of this. Otherwise we thought the hotel was just fine. Breakfast was a good price for a simple French type breakfast. The hotel is in a wonderful location.

Gem of a hotel

In the heart of the old town of Perpignan this treasure is hard to beat. The narrow cobbled walkway outside keeps the area very quiet. The rooms have modern boutique touches within the original Art Deco building incl inlaid ceilings and stem lights. Along with very comfortable beds, large bathroom, extra blankets and reverse air conditioning to give heat/ AC as required. The staff are extremely helpful and engaging. Will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely room overlooking the square and the Hotel de Ville, with two balconies. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the quality of the bedding and furnishings have been upgraded. Hidden gem in Perpignan

This hotel is a hidden gem. Close to the tourist areas of town with lots of great restaurants just a few steps away. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is managed by a family that helped to make our stay enjoyable in every way they possible could. I can't rate this hotel highly enough as it was without a doubt one of the best we stayed at on our trip and definitely the best value for money.

Hôtel De La Loge is in a central location for perpignan. The rooms are quite old and could do with some modernisation however they are spacious which is a plus. We only stayed one night, breakfast was ok, I would recommend to stay here if looking for a cheap night in Perpignan before moving on.

Room over looked there roof courtyard. Very central for getting around Perpignan, walking distant to train station, where you could catch a bus or train to various places for 1 euro each way. Hotel de la Loge is a truly charming hotel, perfectly located in the centre of old Perpignan. The building has character and the hotel is well decorated and comfortable. The proprietors are extremely welcoming and helpful. They provided excellent recommendations for restaurants. We had a first class breakfast at the hotel in a bright breakfast room.

We stayed five nights in this hotel. The hotel is located in the center of Perpignan, in the pedestrian area. There is a wide selection of restaurants around the hotel. Our room was spacious and quiet with a view of the medieval Hotel de ville across the street. The owners of the hotel were on hand at the reception throughout the day and evening and were helpful with restaurant bookings etc.

This is a small hotel, right in the middle of Perpignan. The staff are very helpful and kind. The internet worked fairly well but did not work well when I tried to Skype. The hotel is traditionally decorated with heavy, dark furniture. At night, there is a code to get in to the hotel.

Lovely old Hotel in the middle of Perpignan.

Lovely old hotel with a quirky feel. Very individual feel. Next to the Hotel de Ville in the middle of the old town. Ideal for strolling about, especially in the evening. Can be hard to find and don't expect to drive there - just park in car park at Aragon which is about ten minutes walk away. We went for the rugby and it is the nicest place we have stayed in Perpignan.

We liked this hotel so much we stayed an extra night. Very pleasant, beautifully appointed with antique furniture, attractive paintings and flowers. The staff is very congenial (in English and French; perhaps in other languages) and the breakfast was great. We spent some time trying to drive to it and finally realized that it is in a pedestrian-only zone. You have to park 2 or 3 blocks away and walk. Our room was over the street and there was some noise from both outside and inside on Saturday night. Rooms facing the inner courtyard may be quieter.

Tucked away down a small side street opposite the tourist office this hotel was well placed and very convenient. The public areas inside are all very charming and give a great impression. Sadly, that's where the decor stops. Our room was very simple, and very plain with seemingly no effort in changing the overall mood colour from grey to anything else. However, it was perfectly clean and acceptable for 1 night, and the air con was appreciated. Breakfast wasn't so successful. Due to dietary requirements we asked at checkin whether it would be possible to toast our own special bread - apparently no problem. But at breakfast time it turns out there was no toaster, or any other kind of cooking facility. Just 1 croissant and 2 pieces of bread per person (+butter/Jam) - no cereal, cheeses, yogurts etc. Hot water for tea was barely lukewarm, let alone hot or even boiling. I might stay here again, or maybe find somewhere else for variety. Whatever i did, i wouldn't take breakfast.

Great location and good value

Very central location but hard to find for the first time as the streets are very narrow and street signs are not prominently displayed. Hotel has interesting decor and lots of character. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We are used to mid priced hotels in France and this was a good one, but the shower was very small, however the room was larger than some we have stayed in with a window overlooking a lovely garden patio. Many good restaurants nearby. Easy access by train or bus to the beach at Canet and the lovely port town of Collioure.

Charming individual town centre stay

The hotel is small and very individual. The staff were as keen to practice their English on us as we were to practice our French on them. We had possibly the most comfortable bed we have ever had in any hotel (including some 4 stars). Breakfast was small but adequate with every effort made to accommodate our needs. This suited our requirements perfectly. If in Perpignan again we would definitely return.

Beautiful friendly hotel.

This is a two star hotel tucked away in the old part of town and dating back to the 17th Century. Whilst the room facilites are appropriate to the two star rating what sets this lovely place apart is the wonderful warm welcome visitors receive from the staff here. Caroline who greeted us in perfect English could not have been nicer. It was simply a pleasure staying here and we would recommend it whole heartedly to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hote,l where as a guest you will feel truly valued.

Really nice hotel, great central location, only downside was that there was no vehicle access to the street it is on. Cars had to be parked 600m away in at nearest underground car park - \"Parking Wilson\"

The hotel entrance is in a back-alley off the main shopping center, not the easiest to find. But the hotel is ideally positioned for the center of Perpignan, close to lots of shops and cafe/bars but no noise. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. There is a lift between the floors if you aren't keen on stairs. All the staff were very helpful. The hotel gets locked up at 10pm and you are provided with a code for the front door. Room keys are left at the reception desk. We really enjoyed our stay and will look to use the hotel again when we return next year.

Characterful hotel, very nice staff

We enjoyed our stay at the De La Loge. It has a lot of character, artistic touches. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. The only slight problem was noise from nearby guests. Their bathroom must have adjoined our room just near where we slept. If only people were quieter. That said, the pros outweighed the cons, and we would stay there again.

Best deal in town

our 5th stay at this hotel. It has a wonderful location and the owners and staff are lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble. If you are going over for the rugby, choose this hotel. There are a couple of bars within 2 minutes walk. It is about 30 mins from the train station on foot. If you have time, catch the number 6 bus to Canet Sud for 2 Euros return. 40 mins to the med.

Can't comment on breakfast - never eat it in hotels, always go out to local cafe/bar. The triple room was a very good size, slightly smelt of damp. Although centrally located, the pedestrian streets were quiet at night. The beds- one double, one single were comfortable. The welcome at reception was very friendly. Stayed one night - would go back again next year for the Visa photo exhibition.
Overall good value for money.
