The room was quite spacious, elegant, and clean, and even had a window looking out on the inner terrace. The breakfast was cozy, quaint, and was just what we needed to start our day, complete with custom fabric placemats that contained a map of the hotel's locale. Checkin/out were easy, hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to drop bags off early as we arrived hours before checkin time. It was classy, charming, and SUCH a convenient location, right near the metro Rue de Bac stop on the 12. Room did get a bit warm overnight, but was nothing the thermostat or window couldn't help to remedy. Overall, this is one of the top hotels I have stayed in in regards to wanting to experience the local vibes; I say this as a Flight Attendant whose job it is to stay in hotels more than a dozen nights per month, so I know my hotels! Hotel Saint Germain is simple but elegant, cozy but upscale, quaint without being quirky. 10/10 would stay again!

We stayed here for 4 nights in December. The property was beautiful! The breakfast was lovely. Its walkable to everywhere! Would recommend and would stay here again. We had a jr suite and we had a queen sized bed and a cough that pulle dout to a bed. It was just enough space for the three of us.

We have the petite suite and it was adorable and every little touch was so perfect! The staff are fabulous and do their best for you. The property itself is charming and then outside your doors is even more wonderful because everything is right there. This property will not disappoint. Hotel Saint Germaine was perfectly located within walking distance of major sights like the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, Notre Dames as well as shops and a large selection of restaurants. Our room was small, but clean and well equipped. The staff were great. The continental breakfast, with fresh croissants and French cheeses and jams was a wonderful start to the day in Paris.

I would like to start off by saying all of the staff are incredibly warm, kind and helpful. Location is amazing.. very central and walking distance to everything. Breakfast is great and is presented beautifully. My only disappointment was that for the first 3 nights, we did not get the 2 rooms that were connected which was our expectation. We had the room side by side but had separate entrance which was inconvenient for a family of 4. I had made 2 separate reservations due to adding an extra night so we had to move for the last night- which was also inconvenient but understandable and the staff tried to make it easy for us- and the last night we had the connected room which I feel like we should have been for the whole stay. Other than that everything was amazing. I would recommend this clean and beautiful hotel to anyone.

I came back to stay at Hotel Saint Germain because I had a great experience here the last time. It is centrally located and within walking distance to a plethora of cafes, restaurants, bookstores, and numerous quaint walkable side streets. The staff are warm and helpful, and we enjoyed our daily breakfast before setting out for our day's adventure. This hotel is a great base for your visit to Paris!

The good, location, clean, premium room size ok for Paris, breakfast excellent, front desk excellent.
The points for improvement; WiFi did not work or very slow, no cover space, bath/shower splats water all over the sink, every time persons go up/down stairs the noice is very loud.
For Paris a good hotel could still improve and be a great hotel.

Location was good. There are lots of restaurants, cafe and convenience store.

But the room was very small, and I have to leave the room key with staff. That was kinda of throw me out.

Also, There was no second lock on the main door. It doesn’t make me feel safe.

The hair drier was same area with safety box which I couldn’t find it bathroom so I had wet hairs.

I stayed on 4th floor. And I guess 5th floor is for hotel cleaning crews. It’s ok to do laundry before 9PM. But after 9PM… I heard this machine sounds pretty much until midnight.

I don’t think I would like to go back.

Nice hotel, a few things to know before ya stay.

We enjoyed our stay. There are a few things we think are important to know about to help with your stay.

While breakfast is included, there a limited choices, there are other choices that you can get for an additional price.
Our room was a nice size, we had room to walk and my son to play. The water pressure was great, and there was a rain shower head. The hotel information said there is an elevator, but to get to our room we had to use the stairs. Some of the stairs were very narrow. The description also says rooms are soundproof, we could here people in another room, couldn't understand what they were saying, but we could hear that they were opening doors, talking and showering.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and professional. I have included pictures of the stairway and the breakfast menu as of April 2025, one side free, the other pay per item.

We booked a junior suite & our room was all the way to the top with such narrow stairs with 6 suitcases
It was Also Close to the guest bathrooms.
The hotel was hot that we had to open the windows
The hardware of the bathroom and mirror broke off
On our first day, though they fixed it immediately

Breakfast was fabulous and the service was great

We had a downstairs room in the tiny courtyard. The room was small but adequate. Decorated in a French feeling decor. The staff was all very helpful. Very walkable. Musée de Orsay, the Louvre,, all an easy walk.

We only stayed one night because we were connecting for an early morning flight. But will definitely stay again on a future trip to Paris. Nice neighborhood street but also close to major St Germaine avenues so well located. Our room faced the back though we would have liked one overlooking the street BUT we discovered we had a sliver view if the Eiffel tour from our window! A fun surprise.

Great little hotel in a fantastic neighborhood!

Hotel Saint Germain is very well located. Easy walking distance to the D’Orsay, Musee Rodan, Petit Palais, Louvre, Saint Chapelle and Notre Dame. This is a fairly quiet neighborhood & not very touristy.
All of the staff were extremely polite, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic! The shower can be tricky for an older person to get in and out of (mostly because the edge of the tub I very high and the space between the corner of the sink and tub is very small). My 73 year old mother managed ok, but it’s something to keep mind for older travelers.

Hotel Saint Germain very clean and conveniently located in an area where many attractions a short distance away. The staff is professional, helpful and friendly. Special mention for the gentleman who served us breakfast every morning, as he always went above and beyond. If we return to Paris, we will definitively stay at Hotel Saint Germain again.

Nice location not so nice room

This is a nice little hotel in a great area. This staff was pretty helpful and very nice. We paid for a superior room but still got a pretty small room. We had to move a table just to get our luggage to fit on the floor. Even then we blocked a clean set door. The worst part was the shower. It was sideways and there was no possible way to take a shower and not soak the floor. All the extra hand towels were used to cover the very slippery tile floors. I'm guessing this was a one off because of the shape of our room. It was very uncomfortable to shower in. Another thing was they made you leave your key at the front desk whenever you left the property. There was always someone at the front desk but more often than not, we had to wait a couple of minutes for them to show up. If you don't mind small European rooms then I highly recommend it but if you expect a decent size room when you pay extra then you will be disappointed.

Perfectly located on rue du Bac with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Les Invalides and Rodin Museum are 15min walk. Le Bon Marché and its gourmet grocery store are 5min walk.

Slightly inconvenient to reach rue du Bac from Gare du Nord via Metro - involved several tube changes. Bear in mind if travelling with heavy luggage or young children.

FYI - many bedrooms have separate rooms, one for WC and one for the shower, which is a little odd and tricky, especially since the WC room is tiny and has no sink.

Hotel is small and lovely, with nice decor. Stylish wallpapers and vintage movie prints everywhere. Outside of building looks very pretty. All the staff, from reception to breakfast, are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The night manager was especially kind and welcoming.

Would definitely recommend staying here if you choose to be in the 7e area.

Recommendations: Brasserie Thoumieux, Le Petit Lutetia, Cafe Varenne, Cafe l’Esplanade, Plume restaurant, Le Bon Marché store.
