We stayed at Hotel Villa Jantò for five days in October. The views are breathtaking, the rooftop and outdoor pool areas are lovely, and there was a small, heated indoor pool. The free hotel shuttle to nearby towns and the beach is convenient, since the hotel sits atop a steep hill and taxis are surprisingly expensive.

The room, however, was a letdown. It felt painfully plain, with white walls and nearly zero decoration—odd for a hotel that otherwise tries to look somewhat bohemian and stylish. There were many insects (don’t leave any food out or it will be swarming with ants within hours), an occasional unpleasant smell, and a toilet so noisy you couldn’t flush it at night without waking the whole floor. There was no kettle for making brews, and the toiletries were so minimal we had to buy our own. Even the hand wash disappeared during our stay, leaving us with none to use.

The food was the biggest disappointment. Breakfast, aside from pastries, was cold and uninspired (even the eggs). Both dinners we tried were lacking in flavour, the pasta undercooked, and the prices felt high for what was essentially mediocre fare (considering that the hotel mentions using organic produce from their garden), The receptionist was friendly, but the restaurant and bar staff seemed pretty uninterested.

In short, Hotel Villa Jantò delivers on views and location, but if you’re hoping for comfortable rooms and decent food, temper your expectations—or prepare to be underwhelmed.

The views are nice and the breakfast is good. The owner is also very kind. Otherwise, our experience here was truly upsetting, not just because of the issues I will list below, but largely because the front desk staff refused to truly acknowledge these issues and admit that they might need to improve some things about their hotel. Every time I spoke with them, they essentially gaslit me, saying that they were sorry and that they believed me but then arguing in such a way that did not at all indicate they cared about our experience or believed what we were saying. I actually cried after my final interaction with them, so exhausted was I of defending my right to voice complaints as a guest and actually feel heard. Here were the issues, in brief: 1) Their outgoing message, at least via Booking, fails to include information about public transit to their hotel, which is high up a hill and not terribly easy to reach. The shuttle they offer also does not pick guests up when they arrive, which should be more clearly stated in their listing 2) The wifi did not function in our room at all. 3 days, zero functionality. 3) The pillows they gave us were not pillows but rather pieces of old fluff stuffed into pillow cases. 4) They do not even use a fitted bedsheet on the bed. 5) The shower door in our room could hardly be opened and closed.
Please be advised as well that the hotel is a long walk from other dining options.
All in all, it was a poor experience

Our stay at Relais Paradise Villa Jantò was simply magical. The property exudes peace and relaxation, with breathtaking views that make you want to pause and soak in every moment. The breakfast buffet was outstanding — fresh, abundant, with produce from there own garden.

The owners clearly pour their heart into this place, and their love for their property is evident in every detail, including the thoughtful touches throughout. The food was consistently amazing, and dining here felt like a true experience.

Not enough good things to say about Villa Jantò. We chose this spot for the location, kind of away from it all, and planned on using their shuttle service to get around in combination with taxis and the public bus. Which is exactly what we did and it was great. The property itself is beautiful. Bohemian vibes, great restaurant, great service, great people. No frills on the room, which is expected on an Italian island like Ischia, but it was amazing. We would 1000% come back and will recommend to family and friends. Thank you Villa Janto!

Relais Paradise Villa Janto was wonderful. It had an amazing view of Ischia. What really made our experience special was the staff. Marta, Francesca, Pia and Veronica were so helpful and made us feel very well cared for. They were all so friendly and informative, offering info on what there was to do on the island and the best way to get around. Shuttle driver Angelo was very nice and lots of fun. We felt very safe there.

Beautiful views from the hotel. The outdoor pool and bar area with all the plants is very pleasant. Good breakfast. Room was lovely and clean, bedding comfortable, but for me the bed was a little hard. Wish I had spent another night in Ischia as much to see and do.

We stayed for two nights at this GORGEOUS hotel. We were in awe, the view from the rooftop bar was incredible, we sat and drank there everyday and night of our stay. The staff really got to know you and were so helpful. The rooms are freshly refurbished and are way nicer than advertised, I loved the vibe of this hotel so much, we will be back soon. There’s limited food places around the hotel, however we didn’t really venture out much as taxis are quite expensive. The food at the hotel is really nice but not a lot of options as I don’t eat fish. Loved it here

Beautiful views, kind people, delicious complimentary breakfast, tucked away, seemingly on the side of a volcano, nice pool, comfortable room. Getting around to sites is not as easy as 123 but they do give free rides to the town below or they can arrange for any kind of tour if you like. Lots of Italians and some other Europeans, no other Americans which I preferred since it made for a very immersive experience, the same is true for much of the island. Overall I was sad to leave, 3 nights went fast, 5 would have been better to hit all of the highlights of Ischia.

Great stay and hotel - although a little worn

Super nice stay and amazing staff that were really helpful and service minded. Fantastic views from the facility, and you could tell that the owners have put a great effort in setting their own touch on the ambiance and interior.

However, the hotel and particularly the rooms - are kind of worn and have a 80/90’s touch. Could definitely use a touch-up.

Nice walking surroundings around the hotel, remember to bring your walking shoes though. We took a tour with the local bus and went to Forio, a super cute little village just outside of the little center where the hotel is located. Could recommend!

Would absolutely go back to this hotel and during summer I can imagine it’s just amazing with its clear view and outdoor pool area as well as rooftop terrace!

The hotel has amazing views and is a lovely relaxing place to stay. The provision of a free courtesy bus was a bonus as it is a long Walk back up to the hotel, via several flights of steps. The food was excellent in the restaurant and the pool area was adequate. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is incredible. We have stayed twice because we have felt like family, we truly experience Ischia, Italy while staying here, and it is the most amazing place to relax. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. You will enjoy many hours on the patios just relaxing by the ocean. The pools are lovely. there are plenty of Instagram photo ops.
The hotel: rooms are as described, very spacious, and housekeeping is immaculate!! The beds are comfortable and the AC works great. The front desk staff provides any information you could think of. They are so friendly and helpful
Food: breakfast is included and it is out of this world! The pastries are to die for, fresh coffee, fruit right from their own trees, eggs, homemade yogurt and toppings. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. you can eat every meal in the hotel and you will be glad you did. I don’t know how they did it but everything we ate was incredible. It is simply the best Italian food you will ever have!! Everything is fresh as can be and the flavors are simple yet extraordinary. They have a set menu that you can choose which is always great or you can order a la carte. We tried to get everything at least once and I promise you will too. They also have a creative bar.
Location:They have a shuttle that they operate daily to a few spots like Negombo hot springs which was REALLY appreciated. They also have a daily service with a company that will take you to a new spot on the island each day of the week.

Fantastic hotel. Pool area is sublime - good sized pool, decent sun loungers, quiet, outdoor showers, shaded area and excellent views. Hotel surroundings are beautiful, set atop a hill overlooking Cassamiccola and the bay of naples. The restaurant is excellent, fresh food cooked to perfection with a good choice, and not overpriced in comparison to local restaurants - but the best part is the view from the tables on the outdoor terrace.

The staff are very accommodating and extremely helpful. They arranged for us the boat over to Capri for the day, and also our return transfer from the hotel to Naples airport including taxi at either end and the boat ticket in between.

The only minor negatives, would be that the rooms are perhaps a little outdated in terms of furniture and bathroom suite - however they are spotlessly clean (I noticed housekeeping using a steam cleaner on the tile floors as opposed to a mop), and secondly, the breakfast may not be the best if you're a person who isn't a fan of continental breakfasts (as the breakfast was mostly made up of a variety of freshly baked cakes). However, the produce on offer was of superb quality; homemade cakes and jams, Kefir yogurt (which I struggle to get in the UK), as well as boiled/scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheese.

Lastly, I despite being set atop a steep hill, the hotel offers a free evening shuttle to the local area of Lacco Ameno which has a good selection of restaurants, as well as 5EUR/pp shuttles to other areas

Fabulous family run hotel with Stunning views

This was such a lovely family run hotel. Beautiful setting and panoramic view is tireless! Apart from the great views and great outdoor pool the main feature has got to be the family. So kind and friendly with the daughters amazing English they all seem tireless in result of marking your stay fantastic. I would rent a car from them and organise any trip with their recommendations. The Father kindly shuttles you around at certain times to some great spots and also the port. The two sisters Francesca and Martina and cousin are so helpful and kind that makes this such a joy to be in. The mother runs a fantastic Resturant and cakes to die for. I would highly recommend this beautifully situated hotel and family.

The views were fantastic of the sea and hills from the restaurant. There is a free shuttle at fixed times to different parts of the island. Some are paid and some free.
The restaurant is a bit pricey but good fresh, food. Vegetarian options are limited. Good fresh seafood options. The beds were very uncomfortable. Spring mattresses need replaced. We had a family room - you could only sleep on 1 of the bunk beds- others uncomfortable but they gave us a second room which had a double bed which was better. Bathrooms need updated. The family running the property have only been there 2 years and hopefully would make these changes for a better stay. Indoor pool is small but good for kids.
Outdoor pool is bigger but may come in use in summer.We had a steep 1 mile climb up the hill with bags - ask hotel for transfer.

Villa Janto is a beautiful bed and breakfast with extremely kind staff, a convenient location, breaktaking view, and delicious home cooked food. I would highly recommend anyone consider staying here. Thank you so much to all who work there! My only suggestion is to improve your Wi-Fi connectivity, but luckily that was a minimal inconvenience.

The view!!!

Had a wonderful stay in this hotel with my boyfriend. Our room was wrong at first but when we pointed it out they moved us right away to our balcony room. Be aware though as the showers are quite tiny and overall the rooms could use updating, but honestly you won’t never spending much time in them while on this island.
The breakfast is a great start to the day and had a selection of milk and non dairy milk as well! Make sure to book one of their dinners... it was FANTASTIC, farm to table and totally delicious.
The property is quite far up the island but it is so worth it as the view is spectacular!! My boyfriend and I could have sat on the patio looking out at the island all day.
The hotel is run by a family and they are are all delightful to speak with and very knowledgeable with whatever you would like to do in Ischia, or off!

Nice staff, very nice food and good view. Difficult to get to and from location. Quite expensive in the restaurant and for other kind of service, like extra towels. We had to pay an extra fee for eating in the restaurant(10,50€ for renting the table and the cutlery), even though we were living at the hotel. I think we would have chosen something else if we had known.

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich wunderschön! Das Hotel ist größer als gedacht und wir waren in dem hinteren Teil untergebracht. Ein Zimmer mit Terrasse im Keller, mit muffigem Geruch und leider ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Risse in den Wänden, Löcher in der Balkontür… da sollte dringend was gemacht werden. Der Service war toll und alle sind sehr bemüht. Ein Rollenverleih erfolgt über das Hotel, ohne zusätzliche Kosten Kosten 😊 am Wochenende ist die rooftop bar eine eventlocation, dadurch wird es bis in die Nacht sehr laut! Das sollte vom Hotel klarer kommunizieren werden

Excellente étape à ischia !

L'établissement porte bien son nom pour la vue, vous êtes à flanc de montagne, vue sur le port et la méditerranée, c'est magnifique (voir photo).
L'hébergement est petit mais suffisant, nous avions une petite terrasse ouverte donnant sur la mer. Le petit déj extra, sous la forme de buffet avec sucré (pâtisseries et gâteaux) et salé (œuf brouillé maison, saucisse, charcuterie....) rarement vu aussi complet et quali en Italie ! Petit bémol pour les jus, trop sucrés à mon goût. Gros point positif concernant le service de navette gratuite vous menant à Casamicciola, la plage ou lacco ameno plusieurs fois par jour, c'est important car l'hôtel est reculé et la route est étroite pour y aller. Nous n'avions pas de voiture, nous avons tout fait en bus (pas simple au début même avec Google maps, arrêt de bus à 5m de l'hôtel) et en taxi (il y en a partout, comptez 25€ du port à l'hôtel en cash), nous n'avons pas été gêné pour nous déplacer.
La piscine est également très sympa avec possibilité de commander boissons et snack, comptez 12€ le cocktail.
Nous avons dîner une fois à l'hôtel car il y a rien à moins de 15m à pied (ça grimpe pas mal et c'est très étroit), c'était bon mais assez cher, 21€ le frito misto, 24€ pâtes aux langoustines, vous payez la vue.

Hotell med lukt, maur, og veldig lytt.

Utsikten var fin, litt langt unna severdigheter og lite praktisk å komme fram, heldigvis hadde vi scooter så dette plaget oss ikke så mye. Restauranten/Frokosten var bra og koselig. Rommet var veldig liten hadde merkelig likt, veldig lytt og hadde maur og insekter! Vi klaget og fikk et annet rom med enda flere maur! Dagen derpå fikk tilbake det gamle rommet som også hadde maur! Det er ubehagelig å måte tilbringe rolige og avslappede dager i et rom som har insekter og maur! De begrunnet at det er i en oase og det er vanskelig å kvitte seg med maur og at rommet vi har valgt er economy, noe jeg fant litt smålig argument.
Jeg vil ikke anbefale dette hotellet og kommer ikke tilbake!
