The hotel is situated in Casamicciola Terme at the world-famous Gurgitello thermal spring centre, the oldest in Ischia. It is only a few steps from a bus stop and not far from the harbour, the beach and the centre of town (about 800 m away).
This family-friendly city hotel has recently been renovated and tastefully furnished. Moreover, the family management can satisfy all guests' needs.
The hotel offers 29 guestrooms, a restaurant, a bar and a TV room, as well as child care upon request. This air-conditioned hotel has a lobby with 24-hour check-out service, WLAN Internet access, room service, a car park and a garage (parking permitted upon request).
The rooms are tastefully furnished, and they are each equipped with a private bathroom with bath and shower. Further amenities include direct dial telephone, colour TV with satellite/cable channels, a hairdryer, a safe and air conditioning upon request.
There is a snack bar by the outdoor pool, as well as a gym, hot tub, sauna and large solarium. The restaurant offers regional and national specialities accompanied by a rich hors d'oeuvre and vegetable buffet.
From Rome, take the A 1 motorway, from Bari, the A 16 and from Salerno, the A 30. Follow signs to the Tangenziale, and take the Via Campana exit (no.
12) towards Pozzuoli. Continue towards the harbour of Pozzuoli (ferries only), which is about 4 km away.
Guests can also go to the harbour of Naples, Porta di Massa (ferries, Varco Pisacane gate); instead of turning into the Tangenziale, follow the signs to Zona Portuale (harbour area). After the exit, continue to the harbour, which is about 5 km from the highway.

We stayed for 2 nights in Matera, the accommodation is located right on the border with the old town making easy access to and from the main tourist attractions, restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. Highlight of our stay was Michael who was extremely accommodating, helpful and kind. This made the stay very pleasant and he was always anticipating our needs, being one step ahead. Would recommend!

We are so lucky to have stayed here. Thank you so much to a wonderful host, this was a perfect stay. The best location for the Sassi, just on the edge so quiet and peaceful, but within seconds of the main streets of the Sassi. Private parking right outside the door available (€15 daily), incredibly easy to find. Excellent WhatsApp communication before and during stay, great recommendations for local food/drink and sightseeing. Room was beautiful and clean, with great amenities and complementary water and snacks. Upon arrival our hire car had a slow puncture in the tyre, handily he is a mechanic, and had it fixed for us within hours for €10 - the most generous and kind people, with a beautiful dog too!! There are only a few rooms, all pretty equal in terms of size and facilities, so if there is availability for your dates, do not hesitate to book this place - you won’t regret it!! We could drive there and park the car up. 3 bedrooms with en-suite in an arch at his garage, cut into the rock. Loved Matera. A lifetime experience. Staying over is worth it, to see it all at night.

There are 4 rooms in the b&b located in a converted garage. There are no windows. The only ventilation is from open louvered vents installed between the room and the hallway. The hallway is also part of the garage and has no windows for ventilation. The hallway has a common door entrance which is always closed. Therefore this place has bad ventilation and because of the louvered vents which CANNOT BE CLOSED you hear every thing in the hallway and in the hallway they hear everything in your room. No privacy whatsoever. I think the 9.6 rating of this property is gamed and false. Be aware if selecting this garage to stay.

Our host Michele was outstanding! He picked us up from the station, booked us into a tour of the Sassi within 90 minutes of our arrival and made sure that he was contactable at all times. Great place, sort of underground, in the modern town center of Matera, just above the old city and the world-famous caves and rock dwellings. Michele is a very pleasant host and guides you down the narrow alley to the parking spot. The room was nice, clean, and modern and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast (Italian style) was served at a local bar/resto just a few steps from the B&B. I’d stay there again if I happen to visit Matera again which I sure hope will be possible in the coming years.

Michele is a fantastic host. He came to collect us from the place where we had arrived and took us to the accommodation. I recommend you contact him prior to arriving to ensure you agree where to meet otherwise it would be difficult to find using google maps. Saying that the accommodation is perfectly situated very close to the main piazza and main sites. Michele also recommended and arranged a walking tour which was far cheaper than those I tried to book online. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean and the room is authentic and in keeping to what you want to see in Matera. Come to Matera and stay here!

La struttura si trova a 10 min a piedi dai sassi, vicinissima a ottimi locali e ristoranti. Le camere sono comode e pulite, solo un po' buie perché interne e senza finestra sull'esterno. Il Sig. Michele è molto disponibile e ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni per visitare Matera.

La struttura è ben situata in luogo strategico per visitare i sassi , la pulizia della struttura e della camera è molto soddisfacente, i mobili sono nuovi e il bagno e la doccia era molto comodo. devi lasciare la macchina davanti la struttura peraltro parcheggio incluso. La gentilezza dei proprietari va oltre la normalità ,mi ha permesso di lasciare la macchina anche dopo avere fatto il cecaut. Prenota questa struttura ad occhi chiusi te la consiglio

A due passi (letteralmente) dal Sasso Caveoso e a 5 minuti di cammino dal centro storico, al Nespolo Sassi verrete trattati come foste a casa vostra: il titolare vi fornirà tutte le informazioni relative alla città, vi coccolerà con frutta fresca e tutto ciò di cui potreste avere bisogno.

Posizione centrale per visitare la città, soprattutto Sasso Caveoso. Camera pulita e accogliente è dotata di tutto ciò che è necessario. Indispensabile il parcheggio in loco. Süsse kleine Unterkunft mit wenigen Zimmern. Betten könnten etwas bequemer sein. Service war klasse und sehr freundlicher Empfang, flexibel mit dem Checkin (sofern Zimmer zuvor vermutlich frei). Mega nahe an den relevanten Spots in Matera und dennoch sehr ruhig. Frühstück ausserhalb im Cafe, ist direkt um die Ecke, mit klasse Auswahl!
