This hotel was truly lovely. It's a simple, no-frills property, but extremely comfortable.
Our room was large and comfortable, breakfast was delicious with a gorgeous view, the staff were very friendly, and overall the place has a really welcoming feel. I'd absolutely recommend it for a comfortable stay without overpaying.
A couple of things to keep in mind when booking:
Positano has two main beach areas — Spiaggia Grande (the famous, busier one you see in all the photos) and Fornillo, which is smaller and quieter. This hotel is on the Fornillo side, so while the view from the hotel is beautiful, it's not the iconic Spiaggia Grande view. I'd still recommend it, since it's a much quieter stay than the main side of town, but keep in mind it's about a 10–15 minute walk to Spiaggia Grande — and in Positano, everything is uphill or downhill, so even a short walk isn't an easy one.
Also, the hotel isn't accessible by car; but parking isn't far — less than a 5-minute walk — and there are porters who handle your luggage, so you don't have to lift a thing. Getting there involves around 70 steps downhill, and then uphill again on the way back to the parking lot. Nothing serious, just something to factor in.
We loved this hotel and I'd stay here again without hesitation.
