Sono appena tornato a casa in Scozia e mi sono divertito molto alla Residenza d'Epoca Pietra di Ponente. Il personale addetto all'accoglienza è professionale e sempre elegante. Mi chiedevano sempre come fosse andata la giornata. Il personale delle pulizie fa un lavoro fantastico e lavora sodo ogni giorno. Non posso che ringraziarli. Il personale della cucina è molto pulito e mantiene la sala da pranzo così bella per cena. Il posto mi ha ricordato la Residenza d'Epoca di un monastero con un nuovo look. Una menzione speciale va a Luca, il giardiniere che lavora sodo ed è una parte fondamentale del funzionamento del posto. Si occupa della manutenzione del giardino e della proprietà. Si occupa anche delle navette ed è un membro di spicco del team della Residenza d'Epoca. Roma è raggiungibile in treno. Una breve passeggiata di 20 minuti porta all'Acqua Acetosa, che vi porta a Roma in 20 minuti, mentre Ciampino è a 45 minuti a piedi. Ho avuto le lacrime agli occhi quando ho lasciato questo posto, ma come ho detto a Martina, non è un addio, è un arrivederci.

The staff was amazing! From those at front desk, shuttle driver and restaurant staff! We hope to return, and wish we could've stayed longer. The property is well-appointed, secure (gated) , in a beautiful setting. The food on property was outstanding. There is nothing in walking distance, but with their shuttle service getting to Rome center by train was easy. Quick 10min drive to local airport. We left at 7:20 for our 8:30 flight. It was a breeze!

Hotel beautiful, staff amazing, breakfast good. Views from hotel stunning.
However 20 mins drive from main metro so about 30€ each way every day as shuttle not readily available. Hotel does partner with taxi company who are lovely but more expensive than ittaxis.
Note hotel not within walking distance to anywhere so need car or taxi.
It was lovely to come out of Rome each night to the peace and calm of this hotel, staff and surroundings.

I booked at Residenza d'Epoca Pietra di Ponente and I enjoyed every minute of my stay there. The service they provided me during my stay was above 5 stars. The friendly service makes you feel at home, like family. Irene? Daniela, Leonardo and a new girl (sorry, I forgot her name) at the front desk were superb and all have excellent interpersonal and customer management skills. Melania and Luciana in the kitchen were also excellent in taking care of me every morning... I always had my Americano coffee as soon as I sat down. Their food was Mucho Buena. They all deserved to be rewarded for their great work. Without a doubt, when I return to Rome in the future I will stay here again. Hotel Residenza d'Epoca Pietra di Ponente. Irene went the extra mile and helped me book a taxi with Carlo and find trains to Venice, Florence and Ciampino. She helped me like a real travel agent. I loved it... THANK YOU IRENE

From he reception, right through, they where amazing, always at hand willing to help. The view from our room was amazing.

As neither my daughter & I drove, property is not accessible by public transport, we had to rely on the shuttle so that kinda limited my outings

The nearest bus stop according to Google maps was 20 minutes away walking, which is not accessible as there where no safe places to walk, the roads are too narrow & not safe.

The shuttle service was amazing though, the times are as advertised which I loved. I had a late arrival and as my daughter had arrived earlier she arranged it all.

Our price was including breakfast which was fantastic. The home baked pies where amazing. Our rooms where cleaned to our satisfaction although we only requested towel changes once as we hardly stayed in our room it was not necessary for a daily clean.

The hotel has ample parking, & outside seating space, we had breakfast on the patio outside, & behind the property you have more seating space.

You have a local taxi service which we where booking with through the Uber App. This was during times the shuttle service was not available.

The train station we used was Ciampino which is the most reliable with more frequent trains. The journey to Roma Termini from Ciampino by train is 15 minutes costing €1.50 single per adult. We also went to Lake Albano 25 minutes on the train then a short walk to the lake.

Overall our stay was fantastic and I would definitely highly recommend.

She was so kind and helpful and a delight to chat with. She arranged a ride to a local restaurant for dinner, since we didn't have a car. They also provided a ride to the airport the next morning, which was very helpful.

Ciampino is a beautiful town and it’s convenient to have a train station nearby, not the Sassone station however as that one is difficult to get to, but the Ciampino train station. The place it’s beautiful and the staff it’s amazing but it a little hard to get from the hotel to the city but it’s not impossible.
They offer a shuttle that works from 7am to 10 pm and cost 10 euros per ride to ciampino terminal and from there you can ride the train to roma termini for 1.50 euro per person. To go back to the hotel would be the same, roma termini to ciampino and from there the hotel.
But overall was an amazing experience

Is this a hotel,or a Cat pension?Its outa control!

Cats, cats, cats everywhere. Outside. Inside. On the baby beds getting fresh air out. On the outside chairs cushions. Everywhere. I counted 13 of them waiting for me to feed them in front of my room. Some tried to get in. Too bad i am allergic as they must get in sometimes with other guests. 24hrs later, my eyes are still hitchy. Cats have no place in a hotel. Pitty as the place and staff is nice.

9:30om arrival & no food to offer!

Arrival was seamless! But, next morning being told they could not take us to the airport / when we had to be there for 10am - post b’fast!
Further compounded anxiety, you have to pay for b’fast! But, we booked inclusive! Really was the reply and that is not your booking number you just quoted! But, yes, it is & inclusive b’fast!
Now, about this transfer to the airport? Sir you will have to pay 25Euros!
We all know a taxi fare is but 20Euros - just to add to the injury!
Eventually, I insisted we would walk the 3Km & a taxi was sorted by our contribution of 7 Euros (cash we had!)
Covid - yes... But, you offer a service or you don’t You can’t trade on something that you withdraw!
We have stayed many times before - but not expecting a service others have enjoyed!
Will we stay again - nor the many friends we have recommended & taken there : debatable!

Read the SMALL print, airport shuttle to and from Ciampino Airport NOT BCN airport. The property is way too far away from everything, it cost us many euros to get around. .
They said the restaurant was open but it never was for food. You could buy alcohol or cafe and that was it.

The listing on your site says free airport shuttle service. That is why I booked it, only to find when I got there, that they only offer it to the local airport, and not the main airport. It doesn't say anywhere that there are 2 airports in Rome. I may as well have stayed closer to the city centre, as I purposely took the train to Ciampino to save taxi from the train station to airport hotel. I lost out on this 'deal'. Cost me time and another $60 Euros to get to the airport the next morning. Very disappointed. Perhaps you should better advise Expedia.com about this little detail. I also blame Expedia for just taking hotels word and not looking into more detail just what the hotel is offering.

This was a gem. This place was once a vine yard as far as I know. This is now run by a family and the setting is very nice. There is an excellent view of Rome from their outside patio. They are just starting to have a dining area and their continental breakfast was quite good. They have a free shuttle to the train station and Rome is only 2 stops away at a very reasonable rate. The only negative point is that they advertise free shuttle from the airport however this applies to only the airport in Ciampino so if you are not familiar with area and book a flight to one of the other 2 airports in Rome it can cost you upwards of 50 Euro to take a taxi here. My advise them would be to be more clear in this area;
Otherwise this is a very lovely place with excellent raptor with the stall

This quaint hotel is in the quiet countryside of Ciampino. We truly appreciated the staff's help in securing a taxi for us to the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport. [(70 Euro's) The hotel does offer free shuttle to the Ciampino Airport.
They do offer free shuttle to and from the town of Ciampino. We took advantage of that and found Geff's Caffe that was open during the usual Italian afternoon break. Good cold beers, Bruschetta and great food tided us over.
Residenza D'Epoca Pietra di Ponente has lovely, quiet rooms overlooking the countryside, beer in the lobby dining, and comfortable beds for a good nights rest.
If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind from the pace of Rome and site seeing this is ideal.

Lovely setting in the countryside outside Rome. Angelo was there to greet us. Service was wonderful. Because it was Sunday and the restaurant closed, they drove us to a beautiful restaurant owned by a friend. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and were picked up when we were finished. Next morning we enjoyed a delicious complimentary breakfast and a ride to the airport. Staff was attentive and we departed very pleased with our stay!

The country house is a very pleasant place to stay. It overlooks a vineyard and sorrounded by olive trees. Modernised place and very comfortable to sleep, not cold. It is near Ciampino airport and just 15minutes away by train to the city of Rome. Transport in this place is excellent. They transfer their guests from and to the airport or train station. They respond straight away if you need picking up from the train station. Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. They are very good in assisting with what you need i.e. Ordering food like a local pizza takeaway. Our room is clean every time we come back.

Perfect place to unwind

Beautiful building and surrounding grounds away from the overwhelming traffic of Rome.
Literally a breath of fresh air.
Very helpful staff at reception who explained everything in perfect English and provided a laptop and printer for airline tickets, and also a screwdriver for my husband to take apart his practice guitar and put in his suitcase.
We stayed in for dinner which was good but expensive. (The antipasti starter is enough for 2).
Breakfast is Italian ie cold only with meat and cheese, and lots of cakes. The water doesn't suit tea, but the coffee is good.
Our only gripe was with the driver who came to pick us up from Ciampina railway station (12 minutes from Rome Termini, excellent). We looked out for him but he didn't appear, then the hotel phoned to say the driver was looking for us, so we looked again. Then the driver appeared and told us to follow him through the station underpass to the other side car park. It was a fair walk with luggage and he didn't offer to help us. We think he should have driven round to us, rather than the other way round, especially as he did drive to the other side of the tracks on the way to the hotel. It is an excellent service, but needs to be more specific where the pick up point is.
We will use this hotel again. It gave us time to unwind from the city before flying home.

The house was in the most peaceful setting we have ever found - our room had incredible views across the valley to the Gubbio in the distance.
Elina & Andrea were extremely helpful and friendly.
Definately visit the Frasassi Caves about an hours drive from Gubbio - just jaw dropping and well worth the entrance fee!
Will definately return.

This was a great hotel with great air conditioning, beds and rooms. However, it is a ways in the country so I would not suggest it if you are arriving late at night. It can also be hard to find an Uber for early in the morning or in the area. However, for a normal stay without very late check ins or very early check outs, it is an awesome place!

Nice hotel, quite noisy unfortunately

This was a very nice hotel, close to the airport - Beware GPS as the one in our hire car (brand new Toyota) took us round the bottom of the airport up a road that didn't exist any more when it would have been far easier to come off the main road at Ikea and straight along.
The hotel itself is lovely and the staff very helpful. There was some loud music coming from the bar area downstairs that kept my wife awake till quite late so do consider this if you have an early morning flight. I had earplugs in and could make out the music but not enough to keep me awake.
Somewhere after midnight maybe 1-2 am there seemed to be lots of people turn up banging doors, talking very loudly and going backwards and forwards between rooms. The setup of the building made it all echo very loudly which is a shame.
Breakfast was straightforward and fine

We'll be back!

Unfortunately this was only an overnight stay, so we didn't really have much time to enjoy it. Added to that, our flight was delayed, so we arrived much later than anticipated. Lovely surroundings, old-worldie hotel. Breakfast was adequate - typical Italian breakfast!

Great place, lovely setting, very friendly staff always very accommodating. Nice restaurant too. Breakfast is a bit light not much choice and quantity but this did not affect my stay, free airport shuttle is a real bonus. Thanks

the place is very nice especially with the nice weather. There is a very nice park and a great view of Rome.
The Staff is very helpful and provide a great service. We arrived by plane early and they granted us access to the room even if it was before 12.00. The room was clean and big.

Fantastic stay

Our second visit to this fantastic place and once again it did not disappoint. Excellent pick up service from the airport and they drove us back the next day to pick up our hire car. Spacious comfortable rooms and the food is amazing. It's worth a trip just to try it. Easy commute to Rome with the free service to the train station and two stops away you are in Termini. If you want peace and tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of Rome and friendly service......this is the place.
