Room spotless/staff helpful and courteous. They are updating the
hotel. They have a nice bathtub but no standing shower.
The break fast was so good. The croissants and other pastries were amazing.
Location was perfect. A five minute walk from the train terminal, and ten minutes from cruise bus pick up.
Restaurants near by. The ocean park just across the street.

The check in was smooth and Johnny was very nice. Seemed busy and understaffed but was efficient in what he was doing. The inside of the hotel is nice and clean. The signage was the best of the hotels in the area but quoted dated and showed its age. I would stay again.

Hotel does have an elevator. Room was on

We stayed here before our cruise. The location to the Port and the train station was ideal. We walked about 1 block to the hotel...easy. You need to take an Uber/Taxi to the Port, though. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and convenient for our needs.

We had a ton of Ants in our room. The bed was horrible and the pillows were pancake like they were so small. The bathroom was horrible and the tub dangerously slippery. Do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Front desk service is terrible beyond compare! Service attitude is terrible except the elder lady. Rooms not available at 3 as stated in the document. When asked when it will.be ready, 'i don't know'. After pressing for time rooms be available, the older man said 4 pm. Also blaming the cleaning staff being late and they are very busy. So it did not deliver what was promised and their attitude was 'you are bothering'. Very very disappointed. If I check out late at 1 pm, they will bill us for 50% of the room fare. They can be late with the rooms with the attitude 'too bad'.

The Mediterraneo Suisse was our 2-night pre-cruise stay in Civitavecchia. The location is great, can walk from the train station to the hotel. It has everything you need for a pre-cruise stay.

The room was fine, bathroom clean and there was enough room to not feel cramped. The hotel has WiFi which worked very well. Air conditioning was available and kept the room at a temperature we liked.

Their continental breakfast was better than we expected with lots of healthy choices and a spacious dining area. There were the normal variety of cereals, pastries and pies, plus granola choices. Hard boiled eggs, cold cut meats and cheeses.

The hotel is close to many local restaurants and shopping. You are close to the beach walk - a modern very well maintained spacious walk along the ocean. Great sunsets from many of the eateries along the way.

Getting to the ship on embarkation day was an easy 5 minute walk to the train station where many busses were ready to take you directly to your cruise line - 6 euros per person.

The check in process was somewhat pleasant. I didn’t like the fact that my credit card was charged a pre-authorization when I paid extra for reserve now and pay later at hotel. Upon arrival, the clerk advised that the credit card used to reserved the rooms were charged a pre-authorization charge when that should not have happened. The clerk named Ana was unpleasant, unfriendly and lack customer service and interpersonal skills. When asked her name to address her by name, she responded with “why do you want to know my name?” To which I responded, I would like to address you by name as courtesy while having a conversation about getting an item from the kitchen. The hotel rooms were clean, modern rooms, but there were no complimentary hygiene products provided or kitchenette items.

Unfortunately, only spent one night, so I cannot elaborate on certain facilities factors, but the hotel is located in a wonderful area close to the port. Ideal spot close to a few mini shops and boutique shops.

The bathroom had a leak in the ceiling which caused my daughter to slip and fall.
She did not feeling comfortable notifying the front desk to report the leak because the night time attendant was asking her was she alone. She said he was acting strange which made her feel unsafe, so she put a chair against her door for protection.
We never made it to the hotel because of a flight delay.

My daughter said the hotel was noisey late at night.

When we arrived the next morning, I spoke to manager or daytime front desk attendant and he was rude and asked why we did not report the leak the night before. He said there was nothing they could do for us.

Expedia said they could not reimburse the hotel because they could not get a response from the hotel.

I will never book with Expedia again.

The only positive aspect for this hotel is that it's about a 10 minute walk from the train station and bus stop. We were forced to this hotel after the San Georgio Hotel (next door) did not honor our pre-booked, pre-payed reservation. They canceled our reservation 2 days before we arrived.

We only used this place for 1 night as we were on a cruise the following day. Firstly 1 major plus about this place is the location. It was excellent. Just a short walk from the train station. The beds were good but a slight issue with the bathroom as it was very dated and could do with a few repairs like the toilet and shower door.

The air-conditioning was great and a god send when comong out of the heat outside.

The views from the hotel were also top notch.

Just a few repairs and a slightly higher level of cleanliness would of made it a more enjoyable stay.

The room served it’s purpose.
We got there early as we were departing from a cruise. We were a family of 9 and was hoping to leave our luggage and hit the beach for the day. They don’t have a luggage room. They offered us to leave our luggage out by the bathrooms but at our own risk, as it would be unattended and out in the open.
There was a mistake with the booking (no idea if it was Hotels.com or the hotel), the staff resolved it but was not friendly about it.
The hotel did not allow us to take their towels to the beach, but there were places at the beach that rented towels and water shoes.

The room was visibly filled with mold. The ladies that checked us in were friendly. The evening guy was snobbish. Towels in room were similar to napkins at a dinner table and they were filthy! Thankfully it was a short stay because it’s close to the cruise port but it was horrible.

To start, the room we were assigned was nothing close to the photos shown on their website or on Expedia. We had no chairs, no lamps, no bedspread, room for only one suitcase, no phone. . pretty pathetic for a \"Deluxe Double Seaview\". 160 sf compared to their advertised 217 sf. They advertise laundry facilities but it is a send out service that takes 2 days and not available on weekends.
The room was never cooler than 82F, best it could do according to their engineer, and no wifi available in the room. Despite multiple complaints, they would not relocate us even though most rooms on the floor were vacant.
I have tried to to get management to respond to emails regarding the taxi they arranged for our transport to the cruise terminal; I find 50 Euros excessive for a 5 minute ride plus the taxi was unmarked, the driver refused to meter the trip, refused to accept anything but cash and refused to provide a receipt . . some operation they are running.
I will be taking this up further with Expedia when we return to the US.

We arrived at the property around 2 to check in, room is not ready yet. This we understand as the check in time is 3 Pm. Then we went out to explore the city and return after 9 PM.
The room is ready, but the lock is broken, and we ask the night staff, he said he knew it but still assign the room to us, do nothing to find another room or replace the lock. For more than 7 hours after we arrived, the hotel didn't do anything to replace the lock, and the night staff is very rude, just ignore our request, we asked other questions, like is there any hot water, he just ignore, rude. Too bad

Great option for cruise passengers.

I picked this hotel because it was close to the cruise port. It worked out well for my needs because it was a two minute walk to the bus station that cruise passengers could use to go straight to the cruise terminal. The hotel staff were helpful with explaining the transportation options to the port. They include a sign in the lobby that lists the cost of the bus. The room was a little run down but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel js within walking distance to a few restaurants.
It was a little tricky coordinating the shuttle to the hotel with the hotel staff but after a few emails, it got confirmed.
Overall, the staff were friendly.

After being on a cruise ship for a week. The room was so big. It had a massive balcony with a sea view. The grotto style shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water. The facility was very clean and staff was very helpful. The train station was only a block away, so that made traveling back to the airport very easy. I would absolutely stay again.
