Room was in good condition and the staff was courteous. We specifically selected a room with a pullout sofa to accommodate all our guests. When we opened the pull out, the mattress was unusable (nothing but springs left, no padding) and had crumbs and fruit snacks on it. There was also no bedding or pillows for the pullout. Our very tall guest ended up having to sleep curled up on the sofa.

Property was very clean, in a safe location and close to the interstate. This is a pet friendly apartment, which comes along with a residual smell in the room. Laundry is \"free\", however most of the machines do not work. Be cautious if you need to wash/dry laundry. I was told there is a very nice laundry mat close by that is customer service friendly. There are many local restaurants, chain restaurants and a Starbucks close to the hotel. The staff was very polite but can be a little inflexible with check in/out times (however it is \"leaf\" season). If you're looking for a gym or pool, this isn't the place as there are none on the property. There is a local Mexican bakery across the street that just opened, which is very unique and pleasing to the eye. Smoking of any kind was kept away from the hotel, and no smell of any type of smoking during my stay. Overall, the town was very quiet and pleasant. Easy access to the interstate. Would recommend again if you're in need a clean and safe place to stay and would be okay with pets and no workout equipment.

Your front desk person was excellent. When we mentioned the smelling issue he looked and saw there were no other rooms available. He quickly went in the back and came back with a spray and a room deodorizer. That fixed the problem. Later that night I asked where the ice machine was. He said it was broken. He said he had some bagged ice in the back he gave me what I needed and all was well. Sorry I don’t remember his name. He deserves a bonus or a little recognition for all he had to put up with that night. We appreciated his service. I traveled a lot for work over 25 years so I can appreciate a check-in person/ manager who does a great job.

Check in staff was awesome! Quick and convenient to lots of different restaurants and shopping is abundant. Bed was insanely comfortable and the pillows were great since most of hotels have cheap flimsy ones. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Only complaint about the stay is the shower heads themselves needs a deep clean since they had lots of calcium build up. If you need to stay in the area lay all I’d recommend this hotel and their rooms with the kitchen and such in them because you have a full size refrigerator, full size microwave, small stove top, plenty of cabinet storage, etc. Also pretty cheap in their fees. $25 per night per pet and only a $10 incidental hold. Other hotels are charging $75 per pet and $50 hold.

We stayed at a Candlewood Inn In Harrisonburg at the beginning of our trip and it was wonderful. This location was just OK. The AC did not work correctly, the tub did not drain properly so when we took a shower, the water backed up. There were a lot of men, I think construction workers or road crew, and it just made us feel a bit uncomfortable.

What a wonderful stay we had at Candlewood Suites! At affordable price. Friendly host, helpful in many ways. Room was clean fresh, full of all the things you would want.Laundry is free for guest, just what I needed! Close to shopping and many places to eat.
