TV did not work, I was not there to watch TV so it didn’t bother me.
Regulating the water in the shower was a bit of a challenge.
Rooms are big and have a mini fridge, very convenient.

Overall we had an OK stay, the staff was really helpful and nice. Air conditioning was very weak. The lift made weird noises while moving. The room could use a renovation, the wallpaper was peeling in some places and the room looked a bit tired. The pictures were a bit different than reality... The breakfast was not very good. Parking was nice but with a lower car than Audi RS4 I think the entrance is too steep.

The room looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. The lobby is modern, clean and pretty but the room is dated and grubby with age. They also allow dogs and can be heard barking constantly. The bed was 2 single beds (on wheels) pushed together which separate every time you move. The receptionist was alittle rude. The ‘spa’ is an e tea 10euros per day and it’s just a small dirty pool you can see dirt and scum along the edges of the pool. They did allow us to check in a little early and that’s the only good thing about this hotel.

This is definitely not a 4 star property! The staff are rude, the rooms are tired, the showers leak in all the rooms, you have to pay a deposit of 25 Euros for an ironing board, there is no concierge and the reception staff are clueless if you ask them how to get to places!!! There is no water in the rooms and the cleaners don’t clean the rooms properly. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbours breathe and move and flush the toilet etc - the air conditioning is totally pathetic and the rooms are dark and dingy. There were six of us in three rooms and all of us feel the same and it totally ruined our holiday. Avoid this place and go elsewhere.

THEY WERE VERY NICE AND THE ROOMS VERY CLEAN..... My husband I really enjoyed the spa. The clerks in the front spoke both English and Spanish and they were very informative about the different places to go and tour.

Good hotel but limited menu in restaurant. Although food for breakfast served till 11am on Saturday was cold at 10.30.
Also no bar service after 11pm not even on room service.
To use the spa you have to pay 10euros to use. Was nice but pool could have been a bit warmer and only one end of the pool was working with bubbles.

I found the rooms and general areas to be clean. On the reception desk they were generally helpful. The people in the restaurant were not helpful or friendly. The hot food was cold at breakfast. They had run out of most things and this was early into the buffet. Everything you asked for in the restaurant seems like too much trouble or an inconvenience. Might stay at the hotel again wouldn’t use the restaurant or book breakfast

I did not like:
- noisy slamming doors to all rooms
- lack of sound insulation between rooms - one can hear everything from talking to showers in bathrooms, walking around
- dogs allowed to be locked alone (owners away from the room) in rooms and barking before midnight while next room is trying to sleep
- cold scrambled eggs for breakfast that needed to be given back to reheat
-cold mixed vegetables that were supposed to be hot
- almost exactly the same items at breakfast for 2 weeks, no sign to add or change things around
- unfriendly breakfast staff
- Also, Expedia SHOULD NOT advertise a swimming pool there as it is only a jacuzzi
- zero reaction to replace our electric cooker (with two burners). One of them heating up without possibility to adjust temperature. Zero reaction although reported as being a fire hazard
- fire alarms in the middle of the night
DO NOT stay there if you go on holiday to relax unless you can tolerate all that noise and disturbance at night.

We were able to book the spa facilities at the time we wanted to use them. We were provided with a breakfast bag on our last day as check out was before 7 for us to catch early plane. All staff in the restaurant, cleaning, receptionist and the maintenance guy who changed battery in our safe were extremaly courteous and friendly. Everybody spoke english to us or was patient as we tried to speak spanish! Lovely stay, thank you.

We had a reisanble stay. The staff were very friendly. In our room we had a minni fridge, do wish we had a kettle in our room! The air conditioning could be improved to help make the room cooler at night, as it tends to get warm real quickly. We had asked for a fan in our room, but they weren't available. The cleaners do a good job at making the bed and tyding, non of our possessions were touched or replaced. We did have a safe in a room that we used frequently for keep safe of money, electricals, ECT.. the walls in the bedroom did have some dark marks all over, but you don't really notice them too much. We had visited the spa/sauna/pool..but had to pay €10 each, which wasn't all so worth it as the pool is smaller than it looks advertised and gets a little crowded. Also the security of the changing rooms is minimal.. it's easy access for a male to just go in the female changing room, vicvice versa. The reception is open 24/7, which is good.

Nice and convenient hotel, rooms are nice - we had same reservation for two rooms “ deluxe”, although received two completely different ones. One was a suite, another just simple double bed. Both of them nice and clean. Breakfast was a plain continental without veggies , bakery selection was limited to “ ones gone for early birds, no refills for later guests”. Wrong location for a quiet and relaxing break

The hotel in general was 'ok' but it was located in a residential/business/industrial area. Fine if your on business but not so great if you want a quiet, relaxing holiday. We read that the hotel had a car park and that if it was full there would be local on the street parking available. Well the hotel wanted to charge us €15.40 per 24 hours so we went looking for the 'on street parking' but it was impossible to find a spare space due to the nature of the location. There is a free car park near to the hotel but again it was full and we had to do about 8 laps round the block before we finally, after 45 minutes, managed to get a space. We decided to leave the car there for our 5 night stay and rely on public transport. The train station is quite a walk from the hotel but the staff at the hotel were very helpful in finding train and bus times. There is a bus stop a short walk from the hotel where you can catch an express bus into Barcelona and the hotel recommended that we buy a '3 zone 10 trip ticket' which cost just over 27 Euros but was well worth it as you can use these on the busses and trains. These are available to purchase from a local 'Tabac', which was only a short walk from the hotel.

Nowhere near Barcelona

We booked this hotel believing it was within close proximity to Barcelona. However, after booking we realise it's in a completely different town about a 30 minute drive from the city centre! This meant we had to hire a car as taxi rides would cost a lot of money! Parking is rather difficult and expensive in the centre and there is a toll charge for every time you leave and enter Mataro. The hotel itself is located in a rather rundown part of town. There is a gas station, supermarket and pharmacy about a two minutes walk from the hotel. The rooms could do with some updating. Walls need to be repainted as they look grungy and dirty. The hotel needs to invest in some proper mattresses as the mattress we had was awful and we left with bad back pain! The rooms need to be cleaned properly as there was a lot of dust in the corners. There was no tea or water provided in the rooms, this is something the hotel should considering providing guests. The only thing we enjoyed was the shower. Shower was great, brilliant pressure and water speed. Would I stay here again? Not very likely.

I stayed here for 7 nights between 3rd July 2018- 10th July 2018. I really enjoyed my time here the hotel was clean and tidy. There is a restaurant in the ground floor where food is available at a 10% discount for those who are staying at the hotel. There is a wide range of hot/cold food/drinks available.

I stayed in a twin bed room, there was a safe, air conditioning and a fridge in the room. The television I felt was too small for the room and the only English Channel was Sky News. The rooms would benefit from having a larger TV with internet access. Overall it is a really nice hotel and would stay here again. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. The staff was friendly and helpful.

There is also a gym, pool, sauna and steam room, when I was here the steam room and sauna was not working.

The location was just perfect it within a 10 minute walk to the beach, cafe, restaurants, bars and night clubs.

From the Barcelona airport you can take the A2 bus to universat then the E11.1 bus to this hotel this had cost me 10 euros, this journey had taken a little over an hour, the bus stops 2 minutes away from this hotel.

I recommend buying a T10 travel card, this will allow you to do 10 journeys on bus or train all around Barcelona. A T10 card cost around 13 euros.

I truly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel to others.

Good hotel for MotoGP

We have stayed in this Hotel once before, the location is good and caters for a beach holiday as well as visiting Barcelona as the train station is quick and easy to use.
There is a good supermarket, a pharmacy and petrol station all nearby.
There are some good places to eat and drink and the beach is clean,but no places to hire chairs or umbrellas.

The room okay but the walls were dark and dirty. Needs to be repainted. It’ll would be nice to have tea, coffee and hot water facilities. The bridge didn’t work properly and was dusty/dirty.
Breakfast wast always refilled quickly and on one day there was no hot water, I complained and wasn’t told anything or given an alternative even though there’s a coffee machine behind the bar.

nice hotel close to Motogp circuit

the hotel was good for what we needed, for us we were going to the Motogp so was perfect for that 20 min drive away (apart from the obvious traffic on race day) the only thing that would have been nice was the bar being open on the Sunday night after the race, unfortunately that wasn't the case it was closed! missing a trick there, we saw many people obviously there for the Motogp,other hotels we've stayed at have had the bar open & it was full of people high on the experience of the day, drinking & spending lots of money at the bar etc. Didnt have dinner at the hotel so cant comment, but breakfast wasnt bad.

Trip to Barcelona

Hotel was advertised as Barcelona when in fact it is 50km outside of the city resulting in a 40 minute train journey to get into the city. It is also advertised as having a free Spa for residents where they charged us a fee for flip flops, a swimming hat and use of a towel. When we got to the Spa we found all other guests were not using flip flops or hats and had used the towels from the rooms so we felt we had been treated unfairly. The air conditioning was not working resulting in the room being too warm when sleeping.

The food in the restaurant is expensive for what it is, the bar is not open unless the restaurant is and staff on reception did not know of any local bars where we could get a drink when we arrived. They advised we go to the Port area which is quite a walk and hard to get to as you need to know how to get under the railway.

Hotel not so far to the beach

1. We spent 1h 30min to check in. The person from front desk didn't know that when you book a room for 2 people, actually the occupancy for room is paid also for 2 people. They knew the room is paid per person...
2. They called Expedia to confirm we are OK, so they didn't know the hotel policy.
3. We received a good room with the window facing to the street; however, we needed to change it because the window needed to be replaced (or fixed). Instead, they gave us another room on opposite side of the hotel, with absolute no view to outside. That because the hotel built a Conference Room that obstructed the view for all windows on 1st floor, one side of the hotel. Located (if I remember) on North side of the hotel, but no light when you opened the window, our room let us impression of cold, no light, with no sun. Like a jail.
4. There were couple of rainy days in Mataro. In front of our window, you can always see a thrown package of cigarettes floating on water from raining. The water was there for days. Nobody cared about the water, nobody cleaned outside the window...I took some pictures but I found not appropriate to expose them here.
5. Examples of rooms with no view: 120, 119, 118 etc. You should avoid to take a room on first floor on this side of the hotel, unless you don't care about the view.
6. The breakfast was every day the same (same items) for 12 days!!! Same food, nothing was changed day by day! All other visited hotels are rotating menus for breakfast...

Nice hotel with use of the spa, unfortunately the spa rules are not enforced as there were children under 16 in the pool. Good location to the beach and train station. Rooms were kept clean but the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Most staff were helpful and spoke English. Would stay here again but not for a long stay.

Hotel urh is NOT in Barcelona city. This Hotel is in a quiet town called Mataro. DO NOT take €80 taxi. Take Areobus from airport to Barcelona city. then E-11 express bus to Mataro €10 in total. Info for E-11 or mataro bus is at the tourist booth in Barcelona city Hotel is about 1 hour from airport by Bus. Bus stops in front of hotel. Or take the train. Beach, supermarket close. Sauna & Spa small area but Great! No kettle in room is an inconvenience, restaurant very overpriced. Staff is very kind, helpful & considerate. Gerard is my favorite (thank you very much)

Perfect Hotel - For business or site seeing

The hotel is 40 mins train journey from Barcelona Sants, which is the main train station you need. I travelled everyday from Mataro to Barcelona and then jumped on the metro to visit the various tourist spots. The staff are great and very helpful. The facilities are good to and there are a few spots around the hotel to eat, you just need to find them but the local town is bigger than it looks.

The Hotel was superb for a quick break. We stayed for 5 nights and couldn't have wished for a better room, superior double. The transport links in and out of Barcelona or to the airport were right on your door step with the train or bus only costing 4euros.

The hotel staff is the main reason you want to stay here. I've stayed at many hotels that are comfortable, clean and in a good area but the way you are treated by the staff makes a huge difference. This one had all you want in a hotel but when the staff makes you feel like you are staying with family, in a very sincere, kind environment this puts you at ease when you visit a foreign country.

Very nice modern looking hotel.

The Hotel was close to the train station. Staffs are very friendly especially Paula she took time to explain and guides us to the local attractions and amenities around the town and furthter afield. Really lovely lady!! with great English.
I only wish that the room had a kettle with teas, little pots of milk and sugar. I would stay there again if these little tweaks are made.

Wifi in the room, clean, air conditioning working (no extra charge), quiet even when almost all rooms were taken. I booked a room for 1 person but had a friend staying over for 5 nights, at the hotel they didn't charge me anynthig extra for this. Thanks! After I checked out from my room it was possible to leave my suitcase at the hotel, very helpful. Didn't have any issues. The staff is always ready to help if needed. The beach and the train station are not that far. Town centre is 15 minutes walk. Didn't have breackfast included, but went for lunch, no complains. If I will go back to Mataro I am going to stay here again. The only remarcs: 1. it would be great to have a kettle in te room; 2. No hair conditioner, I had to buy one.

our flight landed at midnight so we have arrived to the hotel at around 1am, when checking in I wanted to make sure we are getting a double room as on the res it marked either double or twin room. I have requested a double room when making the reservation. The night receptionist told me it's a twin room but since there are rooms checking in on the next day, he'll put a note for a room change for us. next day after check out time, we came to the reception to ask for the room change, the lady there was very rude, told us we were never told a room change will be made and that they can't change my room that day as there are guests that requested double room. when I've mentioned I have made the same request and i'm already an in house guest, she just disregarded me and said they'll try to do it the following day (we have made a reservation for 5 nights). We were very disappointed and unhappy, she didn't even made an effort to satisfy us. The twin room was on a different side of the hotel, very old room, all wallpapers were pealing off the walls and they didn't changed our sheets the next day even when they were stained.
On our third night we finally got a double room, was a little better than the previous one condition wise. Overall very poor service at the hotel, It definitely shouldn't be marked a 4 star- product wise. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was close to the beach!

The town is very near and the hotel has very good facilities. It's near to the motorway if you have s car and the beach is less than five minutes away. We would go to this hotel again.

Very nice.

Was only there a couple nights to visit a family friend. Staff very nice when asked about how to get to somewhere walking or by bus and bus times and cab prices. Very nice hotel room although looks abit old and could probably do with a little bit of a renovation, the main thing is that it is clean and it was. The room and bathroom were very spacious. The beds although hard mattress was comfertable to sleep on. And the air conditioning was very useful when feeling hot or cold. Didn't have time to use the spa facilities but overall would recommend it.
