The room was clean and tidy and staff were friendly … we had a twin room which I shared with my daughter. She got into her bed before me but when I went to get into bed …there was no bottom sheet … just a mattress topper. I called reception and they did sent up 2 sheets … for me to make it up myself🤔
Apart from that .. stay was as expected.

Room was a little shabby with a number of maintenance requirements (sockets not working, sink blocked, toilet constantly leaking from cistern). The main bar had no beer or wine at 1030 in the evening. Staff were generally apathetic and the dining room was like an 80s works cafe. The lifts were only partially working. All a bit run down and tired for the price point. Oh and the room was a ridiculous duplex with a very steep spiral staircase down to the bathroom.

The room was cold, we tried to turn the heating up but it didn't work. When w got in late after a gig it said heating was controlled centrally but if there was any heating we couldn't feel it and we were shivering. Friendly staff on the reception desk but the late night bar attendant was really unwelcoming . There was no draught beers and when w asked if there was we were told NO. There was no red wine apart from a little bit in the end of a bottle and he spoke like I knew there was nothing left( no explanation) People left the bar saying thank you and bar tender didn't even acknowledge them he was downright miserable. We have stayed here before because we liked it and it is very central but left a bit disappointed this time. Plus nothing in the rooms advising on what food is available and no info about the wifi connection which would have been helpful.

Couldnt fault the hotel! Super friendly staff, great location, room spotless and comfortable
Only issue was a 'private party' that was being held in one of the bars in the courtyard. It went on until 2am and was really loud and noisy outside our window. Not the hotels fault at all but it did mar our stay especially it being a Sunday night / Monday and we went for a relaxing break away before the chaos of Christmas! Would stay again for a city break as everything was in easy reach, but maybe not for a relaxing break away

I had a lovely brief stay here, lovely room in a beautiful building but it was like a maze trying to find the room! The room needed 3 or 4 maintenance issues, all small things but the bed was fantastic and pillows amazing!! Best pillow I ever had!! The staff were all superb, so pleasant friendly and professional. Our Deluxe room had the most incredibly comfortable bed and feather pillows so sleep was excellent.
We ate in the bar which was good, plentiful and really tasty - although it took a longer time to come - but that just meant it was cooked for us to order.

I was firstly given an awkward shaped room with a large useless corridor which made the bedroom area very small. I asked to be moved and the staff did move me to another one straight away. The second room was the expected good size, however the view was a massive wall which was not pleasant and made room darker too. The air conditioning was not strong enough and did not heat the room adequately. There were scratches on the leather bed head, but shower had really good pressure and heat. Location is excellent.

We stayed as we were going to the City Hall and have stayed here previously. The location is excellent you can get discount parking at the Qpark, but we used a discount from the city hall. Rooms are clean, have an ironing board and iron, a hairdryer, tea & coffee a hair and body gel, with sone conditioner too! Price was great compared to other hotels in the area. Staff were really friendly and professional. Breakfast was £12, buffet style with full English or continental,, which was great (good bacon!) We will atay here again.

Did have an issue with the cleaner coming in despite paying extra for a late check out but this was apologised for sinse rally and even given another hour to get ourselves ready. Will be back next time I'm in Sheffield, for sure!

You might as well be in the pubs beer garden. Really should offer a discount for certain rooms.

Room was standard, comfy and clean but a few things let it down. Sink drains slowly and tv wasn’t working in the evening. Some black mould in the shower and a big cracked tile in the bathroom. Nothing that hindered our stay.

Lovely, Quaint Hotel in an Excellent Location

This is the first time I have stayed in the Leopold Hotel, and despite being an older hotel than some others nearby, it is very well maintained. The room was a descent size and clean. I like the way they encourage you to not have your towels washed everyday, more hotels should do this. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. My only negatives would be the pillows were not comfortable (this is a personal preference) and my window faced Leopold Square, and there was a lot of noise, especially on the Bank Holiday Sunday night. This made it difficult to sleep. On checkout, I mentioned this and was informed it happened every year. I feel I should have been informed of this and given the choice of a different room. Overall, a good hotel, though.

Beautiful historic hotel, lovely interior and friendly staff. Excellent city centre location.
BUT …. The MOST uncomfortable bed of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Felt like sleeping on a bed base rather than a mattress. The join between two beds pushed together was a ridge like Hadrian’s Wall and quilt felt threadbare. Such a shame as it’s a really lovely hotel .

The building looked first class and you can see the ageless history being looked after , unfortunately the cleanliness in the room was poor with dusting needed in the bedroom area and the bathroom fan was absolutely blocked with dust making it useless in taking the steam away.
An overall clean would have picked these issues up 😕

A good central hotel

As a solo female traveller I feel safe staying at Leopold knowing they have a solo female policy ensuring you're never on the ground floor and other things as well. My stay was enjoyable as always. I did find it rather noisy but my stay was on a Friday night so to be expected. It's always refreshing when a hotel room has a fridge and though it had some free water both cans were sparkling. The rooms are spacious.

Really welcoming staff on the reception desk and lovely bar/lounge area. We had just booked the standard room which had a modern en-suite, but the bedroom itself looked a bit tired (e.g. coating very worn on headboard). Hotel is well located and I would definitely stay again.

Really comfortable say

Check-in was smooth and the front desk clerk(male) was really friendly and efficient. He gave us a room on the 5th floor which was the top floor and he upgraded our room from a Double to a King.

The room was clean, spacious. The bathroom was excellent with everything we needed. The power/temperature of the shower was amazing.

We got a pretty deal at £64 for a Sunday stay.

Fantastic stay

Excellent stay; the room was a decent size and was quite peaceful, despite the fact that it overlooked the square below and that there was live music playing, which we enjoyed listening to in the square but we could hardly hear it from our room. The staff were courteous and respectful, and the hotel was clean and welcoming.
