This attractive eco-hotel is located on a natural canal, opposite Tortuguero. The beach is around 100 m away and the unique natural park of Tortuguero is only 5 minutes from the hotel.
The tourist centre is approximately 3km away. The hotel offers a total of 34 rooms divided between the main building and a neighbouring building, both of which have 2 floors.

This property completely exceeded our expectations. It felt like a beautifully maintained family camp. The accommodations were clean and had all the amenities we needed. They were also more spacious than expected. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The style of the accomodations is a bit old, but everything is clean and the bed is comfortable. They offer quite a bit there -- pool + hot tub with a bar, and it looks like they serve all you can eat BBQ poolside. They have 2 L3 chargers that are reservable for 3 hours per guest, but we couldn't get it to work, so I could only L2 charge. They have a general store as well as a coffee bar, as well as a full restaurant. The dinner we had last night was excellent, even though we just had chicken burgers and regular burgers. They were tasty, and some of the best fries I've ever eaten! The staff there is incredibly nice and helpful. Very pleasant people!

This kept us from getting a good night's sleep. Additionally, our check-in experience was frustrating. Expedia failed to send instructions, no one answered the phone when we called the lodge to confirm, and there were no road signs guiding us to the property. We were worried it was a scam, but it turned out to be real and we had a good stay overall. Addressing these communication and security issues would greatly improve the experience.\"

If you forget to pack something, or just don’t have the room, the general store has all the basic items anyone should need for a short stay. They have a great coffee shop along with a small selection of beer & wine as well. We packed light and used the laundry facilities. It was clean and met our needs.
Restaurant and Bar: byfar the best place within miles, including anything found in the valley. Breakfast and dinner options were all great!

What an absolute gem! Originally I wanted to stay inside Yosemite, but this was so close that it didn't matter much. Cabin W9 is a perfect spot with views of the sunset from the balcony. Food options were great. Definitely would like a return trip.

Cons… I stayed in one of the “vintage” cottages, the bed was creaky and very uncomfortable so I did not sleep well the week I stayed. The smell of the cleaning products they used were so strong I had to open the windows and door for 2 hours upon entry to make it bearable.
I called before booking and asked if they use hypo allergenic detergents and the front desk staff didn’t know but said the pillows are hypo allergenic so the detergent probably is. Unfortunately it was not. Fortunately I was driving from home and was able to bring my own linens just in case.
The room itself was not as clean as it could have been, the top of the fridge covered in dust, the curtain to the closet had a spider web clutch (the pouch spiders make for their eggs) which told me it had been there awhile.
Overall for $270 a night - the room was not worth it.
The store had many items that were gluten free and vegan friendly but beware nothing is priced and it was $17.25 for a box of crackers and small tub of hummus.
Before I left I did ask to check out the glamping set ups, as they have new pillow top mattresses and they were quite nice. I would stay again but will avoid the rooms until they get new mattresses.

This is the cutest place! It's like going to summer camp. It's pretty remote and for us flat lander's it was quite the drive up there. They have everything you'd need for an extended stay. We loved the restaurant and bar, s'mores by the fire and our adorable vintage cabin.

So glad we found Evergreen Lodge. The staff was both helpful and friendly, the cabin was clean and well stocked. The restaurant service was great and the food excellent. There were games available to play like chess & checkers. We ran into a bit of a problem with lost car keys and the staff was very helpful and the keys were found. I can’t wait to return to the lodge and Yosemite.

Absolutely amazing lodge. Perfect for families. There were also many seniors at the location, and couples without children, and it suited us all very well. The cabins are stunning. We had a deluxe cabin with the king size bed and pull out queen sofa. It worked very well for our family. The mini fridge is small, but we made it work. The tavern restaurant is really fantastic - we had the breakfast enchiladas and they were unmatched. All the staff is very friendly and helpful and the lodge has carefully designed every element of a wonderful stay for everyone. There are play areas with zip lines (not terribly high. Perfect for young kids), giant chessboards, and climbing rope walls. Horseshoes, bocce ball, and billiards for adults. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous. There is so much to see that it’s hard to do it all in a weekend, let alone if you also plan to go into the park. But we had a most incredible time in Evergreen, we will certainly be back.

Evergreen Lodge was a great experience. The vintage cabin we stayed in was decorated very cute. It had an Alexa set up and we played music on that. Everything worked well. The bed was warm. We enjoyed the stove as well and the view from our patio was very beautiful. We ate burgers at the restaurant-/ maybe a little overpriced, but expected. I enjoyed the hot tub that evening. It was a big , but quiet spa - very nice.

Excellence at a reasonable price-Very well thought out designs and linens etc. - restaurant overpriced but good and large wine pours. Really there is nothing in a twenty mile radius anyway and the food in the valley (Ahwahnee) is mediocre and expensive. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was hidden treasure and I definitely didn’t expect it to be as wonderful as it was. The game room was so nice and well maintained. The rec room had so many cozy chairs and couches, games to play, books to read. The fireplaces were all going every night. Free snores was an added perk. Loved walking around. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The look out point to watch the sunset was so pretty. Literally felt like I was in a hallmark Christmas movie set.

The property is excellent and staff is very useful. The only small complain I have is about quality of the mattress. They they can definitely use a better quality that is more comfortable and bit firm. The other thing they can improve is by making sure that all board games in the room are complete. We had scrabble without scrabble board. This is not really comment for the property, but the road that leads to the lodge is not very nice. It’s very rough .

This was a very last minute trip and we didnt know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by the incredible and magical place that is Evergreen Lodge. SUPER family focused, clean and just magical. Everything about this was excellent. The general store has incredible snack and food options and very healthy and a barista. The one thing we didnt do is pack more food so that the meals and snacks didnt add up to so much. But now we know what to stock up on and we will be coming again very soon.

This property is fabulous. We only got to stay one night if we ever go back to Yosemite. I will stay there in a heartbeat. My kids wanted to stay another night. It felt very nostalgic to me of YMCA of the Rockies is growing up, not near as big, but just the overall vibe they had crafts out which my son loved doing, the restaurant was delicious at breakfast. They had a very well stocked store and gift shop. We arrive late at night and there were people quietly sitting around a fire pit and enjoying that we had no trouble finding our cabin and they made the check in late very easy by having an envelope with our room, key and directions on how to find our cabin the cabins were adorable very basic but adorable and what you expect when you want a national Park cabin vibe the property is a good 30 minutes from Yosemite Village but it’s a beautiful drive going down there although this is well off the beaten path was easy to find. Make sure you’re download your directions though because you will lose Internet service on your GPS luckily we had the directions downloaded before we started out. We stayed in a cabin with bunkbeds and a queen size bed and it was very comfy. They had games for encouraged for people to play at night, not a lot of extra room in the cabin, but it was perfect for our needs the properties. Staff was very helpful the next day on where to go in Yosemite gave us detailed mapsI noticed they had Tours you could book

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Evergreen Lodge. What a fun place to visit! I wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night. There were so many fun activities on site, and it felt so relaxing just to be there. The restaurant was wonderful as well. The drinking water was incredible! My kids loved the zip lines and play areas and the indoor games like pool and table hockey. The pool and hot tub looked great but unfortunately we didn't have time to go in. It was very convenient to Yosemite and to Hetch Hetchy. We would love to come back and bring other friends to stay in the family cabins as well. This is now one of my favorite places to visit, and our stay was very reasonable for a family of 5.

Incredibly helpful staff - everyone seems genuinely happy to be working there. The property has vintage charm but is updated. The central lodge area has many options for hanging out. The play areas encourage curiosity and exploration and were a big hit for my 11 year old. I hope to rerun with more of my family.

I rarely write reviews, but this one is too good to pass up. If you want to relax and unwind without missing out on fun activities, this is the perfect place to stay. The property's ambiance is cozy and tranquil, and the amenities are excellent. I particularly loved the large heated pool and the sunset view deck.

What a magical place. This was the most well maintained, beautifully staffed, comfortable good vibe spot. A great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings while also having all the conveniences. Patrick was particularly helpful- our rental car had a leaky tire and he filled it up for us. He also gave us a plug in case we ended up with a flat tire. The staff was amazing! The trail guide concierge was extremely helpful too! Lots of amenities to enjoy and a beautiful setting.

A lovely resort tucked away in the lower montane forest, with many cottages and cabins. Parking can be a bit far depending on your location, but they have luggage carts. WiFi and internet were great, WiFi calling worked well (note there is zero cellular service from any provider). Restaurant and tavern had great food and service.

This place is amazing! The road is a little rough but the bonus is you are in the middle of the forest surrounded by nature. The cabins are good, the heather is a little noise so bring earplugs. Is really closed to Hetch Hetchy part and one hour from the Yosemite Valley. Good place to unwind.
