The Hotel shuttle did not meet me at the airport after I made arrangements 3 hours earlier. I called the hotel after waiting in the shuttle pickup area and no one answered. I was overwhelmed by the thin air in heat and I end up taking a taxi to the hotel and my fare was $2000 bir. I am requesting that the hotel reimburse me of the fare . The toilet did no work the next morning. Hotel cleanliness was exceptable.

Wonderful stay

I travelled to Addis Ababa for business and I stayed at the Swiss Inn. It's a wonderful hotel with beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds and most importantly for me a warm shower. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor and an 8th floor restaurant and bar with wonderful views of the city. If you are travelling to Addis Ababa for business or leisure and you are looking for a great hotel at a good price, I would highly recommend the Swiss Inn.

Very Reliable internet and great service

This is a very good hotel for Addis Ababa. The internet was very reliable and well planned throughout the hotel, which is not usual in Ethiopia :). The food and lobby bar service was quite good. Across the street is an amazing \"cutural\" restaurant with the live traditional dances and very good Ethiopian food.

I love this hotel while it was being remodeled and the pool was not available but me and my future wife enjoyed each other and it was greated for me and her... Guess what!! we return several months later for visits as dinner guest and also dipped into the pool. I did a manicure for me... not perfect . One waitress was not kind.. This is a excellent hotel. Ive notice its sold out on expedia. )-: returning soon

Loved this hotel! Great value for the money in Addis Ababa especially if you book on Expedia for discount. Staff was outstanding. Check in was a breeze. Loved the lobby restaurant. The free breakfast had lots of options. MLK restaurant across the street also great. Sauna and spa were excellent - very clean and relaxing! The Queen bedroom was a nice size, very clean, enjoyed having small balcony. Carpets were aged however, and could stand to be cleaned or replaced. Used free airport shuttle to get to airport - very easy and convenient. My only gripe was that the public taxis were not easily available, though it was very simple to get a contract taxi right outside. 150 birr to get to Bole. Will absolutely stay again.

My friend and I stayed at Nexus for a few days. This hotel is VERY dated-- especially the non-business side. The breakfast was not good and the service was horrible. The people at the front desk always seemed too busy or had an attitude. The paint on the door of our bathroom was peeling and everything looked worn. So glad that we moved hotels mid trip. The only redeeming quality about this hotel was its location.

Excellent staff and facilities. The bartenders downstairs were amazing people. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the people at the front desk were very courteous. I really enjoyed the ladies serving coffee also. I really felt at home at this hotel. I was treated with so much respect and the food was really good. I also took advantage of the barbershop and got a nice haircut. If you are traveling to Addis, please make this your base camp. I cannot say anything bad about this place. I was VERY satisfied.

One of the worst things about Nexus Hotel is that its excellent location and layout belies some technical customer service issues. For instance, because the telephone system is faulty, room service will finally find you after an hour - and when they do deliver, the food or beverages will be at the worst temperature possible. And then you will find an acrid smell of tobacco in the corridors. Make sure, therefore, to insist that you're in the non-smoking section.

Worst hotel in Addis. Misleading management with hidden fees. Didn't pick me at the airport, despite having reserved a shuttle. I booked a junior suite with bath and was put in a dirty room. Highly not recommended and the manager will say anything to get you in the shuttle over the phone but on arrival very different story.

Quality hotel with good service

Stayed at Nexus two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The service is really good and the facilities are what to expect of a quality hotel. the lounge is big and really cosy. The breakfast is full buffet and the food generally really good. The hotel is along a busy road a bit of outskirt of the city. Also the pool area was rather small. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

I asked to speak to the manager and after 3 days I spoke to mgr .on duty after I paid fully without any explanation or apologies

I have stayed with this hotel many times and they were good but this visit they were horrible. Their phone lines were not working we even tried email to organize shuttle from the airport with no success. On check out they charged for the room even though it was fully paid online. No one seemed to care. The experience was just too frustrating. Their service is getting worse.

Staff with the right attitude but the place has a really incompetent management.
Generally speaking, this hotel is VERY NOISY, of a very bad quality, overpriced and with an extremely poor customer service. Food and drinks beyond overpriced, staff does not speak English, the restaurant is overpriced and horrible with high risk of infections or viruses. It is very poorly and incompetently managed and the GYM and Spa facilities are oversubscribed to locals and school groups of children. The pictures in the add do not reflect the real miserable setting of this beyond disappointing and dangerous hotel. Read details below before you book.
We moved 5 (FIVE) times to try and get a decent room because we had a long stay booking.
The main bad thing in the hotel is that the windows do not close properly. No room has windows that close properly and there are big gaps in the windows of the rooms that allow the noise, dust, pollution and cold through.
There are water leaks everywhere. Those in the restaurant with mould!
The only one thing that worked properly for us was the airport shuttle.
Safety risks not assessed properly.
GYM and SPA
The gym AND the SPA both have an OPEN MEMBERSHIP WHICH IS BEYOND OVERSUBSCRIBED with local residents.
If you think they don’t speak English at the restaurant, staff at the Gym and Spa, seriously do not have a clue! Hence, your booking will not be honoured.

Several impressive amenities in Nexus hotel including the newly opened Spa, the delicious breakfast buffet and clean rooms. However above all, the greatest asset is the professional and implacable service provided by the wonderful staffs members in different departments such as guest service, restaurant and house keeping. Their dedication and genuine willingness to go above and beyond is exemplary. As a person who travels frequently here in the US and abroad.... Nexus Addis hotel is one of the best I have seen when it comes to guest service. Thanks for making my 2 weeks stay with you right at home and such a pleasant experience. I will definitely come back!!

Two adults and two kids stayed for one week in July. Our room had a seating area somewhat apart from bedroom, which was a wonderful plus. Furniture was v comfy as was the king size bed. Big windows overlooking street below but noise not a problem on third floor. Pluses were reception desk staff-- friendly, accommodating, helpful! Also the cafe in the main lobby very inviting, excellent service, we hung out and played cards over sodas, hot tea and coffee. Minuses were restaurant cleanliness (used same table cloth more than once, stained). Quality of food just okay, service just okay, and breakfast buffet completely underwhelmed... I would encourage them to work on that.

A decent hotel a not too far away from the airport

The staff were friendly and professional enough.

The hotel was clean. The only snags were some of the soundproofing around the balcony doors had started to wear away. Noise from nearby ongoing construction work filtered into the room.

Some of the fruit served as part of the breakfast buffet didn't taste as fresh as one would have expected.

Other than that, the staff were courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to an acquaintance.

Good regular Shuttle Service Close to Airport Small Rooms - but ok for a short stay Food Service was an all you can eat buffet of medium quality. Room safe is so small that no computer can be stored away. Must take computer even to the restaurant or bar to ensure that no theft.

Advertising stated that there would be 32\" tv in my room. My tv was no bigger than a 19\". I was put on the 5th floor so I heard the music from the bar every night until around 2230. My shower head fell down on me while taking a shower. The entire shower head, caddy, and pole all detached from the wall. Overall for the price it wasn't too bad. Free wi-fi and free breakfast. The dinner menu selection was not too bad for the price either. The hotel was clean everyone was very nice. I was introduced to a very courteous, professional, and helpful cabby. It would help if the safe instructions were in the room if you are going to leave notices that the hotel is not responsible for loss or theft of items. Please lock valuables in safe. Also, it was advertised that there would be a mini bar and fridge but there was only a fridge.
