Staff were excellent. The pool is murky and needs cleaning. Some of the flooring around the pool is loose and is safety hazard. The lift needs maintenance and the doors are not aligned properly. Directional signs are needed inside the lift and parking. Food is excellent and cleanness is good

Everything about Getfam is amazing!

Classy hotel with super friendly staff who spread good vibes and amazing customer service. The (free!) sauna and jacuzzi are also so relaxing after a long day of work. Highly recommend!

The property is given wrong star. This property is like max 3 star. Place is not clean. Most of things doesn't work including elevator,light and it's in construction currently.
Parking is very narrow limited space in a basement and difficult to enter for bigger cars like SUV. Very limited supply of toiletries and you get one towel and old

Even though it's location is in one of Addis Ababa's busy streets, a few meters from most shopping malls and tourist attractions, you will enjoy the serenity once you enter the hotel.Most of the staff are friendly,welcoming and professional.

It wasn’t bad. There is no access to temperature control of the rooms. There were cracks in the bathroom and the food menu didn’t provide all of the items actually available in the kitchen.
However, the staff are very friendly and responsive.

From what I saw, the property is just okay. It’s located around a lot construction so when you open windows there’s a lot noise. I didn’t get a chance to visit the hotel as I was self quarantine in my room for 2 days. Improvement are needEd for the food choices and the service staff to listen and deliver as ordered. Each meal I ordered had some thing wrong with and had to to returned which takes about 1 hour.

One of the person who is short dark skin at front desk are mean and he tried to overcharge me and I had to go to a different person because of his service did not like it. also room service and the bar take forever when you order something not a good place to eat when you’re hungry.

Comfortable room.

I traveled during CoVid 19, which makes the trip diferent than most. Hand sanatizers were placed at higher traffic areas (front counter and resturaunt). Front desk sanatizer was empty every time and resturant was empty by day 2.
Open self-serve breakfast even during this time, however very few cases in the country.
Phone instructions in room said \"dial 9 then number\" for local, but turned out must dial 0 and be patched through. Some slight service slips were not bad. Staff was not rude, but less friendly than the first hotel we stayed in. Perhaps a little xenophobic at that stage in the pandemic.
Great hot water shower and comfortable beds! Overall pleased with our stay. They changed us the same price on our early check in day as the pre-paid night. That was very helpful.

I hesitate to criticize the hotel as the staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very old and not kept up. The showers did not produce hot water, the toilets did not flush properly ( and management was informed), the carpets are worn and smell.The location is on a very busy city street with a very narrow sidewalk and no place to walk. A lot of pollution from the diesel cars/trucks. The pool is beautiful except it is rented out for birthday parties ( 2 while we were a guest which basically closed the pool. The children enjoyed themselves, but there was no space for an adult to swim and all lounge chairs were taken by the parents of the birthday party attendees). There were many non hotel guest adults who swam at the pool as members of the pool/fitness \"club\". Was not conducive to swim as a guest of the hotel. And I am sad to write this, but the food is horrible. Not fresh not tasty and nothing special. I would never recommend this hotel. Sorry to be so critical, but this hotel should be rated as a 2 star hotel.

Very happy with stay except for pick up at airport which was delayed (would have just gotten my own taxi if i had known). Otherwise good customer service, nice breakfast buffet and excellent spa services. Would recomment, i will be back.

The staff were excellent but this is by no means a 5star hotel. At best it is a 3.5 based on the food and the standard of the amenities. The bathrooms are in average condition. There is noise from the outside. There’s no minibar and snacks which is typically found in 5star hotels. The gym is basic. Breakfast is average. However it felt safe and the staff were very warm and welcoming.

Staying at Getfam was the best decision I made in Addis. I arranged a hotel shuttle through Expedia messages. My room was large, clean, and had many TV options. Many staff members are proficient in English which was very helpful. I used most of the ammenities including the gym, free 10 min neck massage, restaurant, and luggage storage. I was able to safely and easily walk to meet a tour about 10 minutes away.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Getfam. It's in a great location yet somehow seems to be one of Addis Ababa's hidden gems. The stylish lobby is breathtaking and for my visit proved to be a perfect place for meeting with people. The restaurant was excellent - especially the fresh fruit and croissants for breakfast! My room was really comfortable - easily comparable with the best of the rest. But the truly outstanding part was the people. The hotel staff treat you like a friend. It was fun to be there. From the front desk to house-keeping nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

I particularly appreciated the restaurant and its staff, although the menu was limited. What was frustrating was the wifi. The only area with decent connection was the lobby. Once you got into the rooms in higher floors, you lost the connection.
Also, I was given a different type of room than the one I booked on the account that there was a AU Summit in town.

Cozy Hotel in the heart of Addis

Wonderful hotel. There is a beautiful pool and delicious breakfast buffet with a variety of options and includes fresh squeezed juices and cappucino/macchiato/coffee made to order. The Spa is decent. If you prefer a cooler room, I would suggest requesting a room north facing as there is no central AC in the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and was quite helpful particularly with our children. The internet has decent speed for Ethiopia.

Loved this hotel! Everything was absolutely perfect with my stay and would return!
Only one negative was that my airport shuttle was very late and i almost missed my flight, had to sprint to the gate and my luggage was too late so had problems after landing the other side. Very important to have airport transport on time, Getfam! Otherwise, loved it!!

Nice hotel, great spa!

Great Hotel. The breakfast buffet had I great spread. The pool we couldn’t use because eventhough there were other people without swimming hats, the instructor for the kids decided that we were not allowed to do so... but the spa area made up for that one rude person. The staff from the spa was great and the prices were completely affordable.

Hotel has no air conditioning

This is at best a 3 star hotel. A very important note of precaution: The hotel has no air conditioning installed in the rooms. It sits next to a major highway and when you open the windows you smell exhaust fumes from the traffic below. I am surprised that none of the other reviewers mentioned that in their reviews.

if only the service is as good as the breakfast

Reception.... after arrival, while settling we are told that our room is changed and that we needed to move to another room. We were mistakenly booked into a suit. Mistakes happen. Then when we requested that we rather have the suit and are prepared to pay the extra. No one came back with the price. We asked again and were told to check online for the additional fee. Why would i need to check online if am in the property already?

Other than that the hotel entrance is presentable and good state. Concierge and security staff are polite.

Room comfort ...on the room we are given, bed size was double but seems small for some reason. the comforter is very thin and small in size. Comfort level of the bed is fair.

Cleanliness ... rooms are clean and surrounding area also were clean. Some tables at the reception are tired and can see stains from cups.

Breakfast ... good taste of breakfast. Average number of options on buffet. Fresh juice but limited choice.

Room service ... Terrible! on the many occasions we used it, there was always something missing or it took very, very long.

Other facilities ... Hot water disappeared on the showers one day. Took more than 1hr to resolve. had to chase the maintenance person. He was helpful but time to fix need to be improved. Other facilities like the spa, swimming pool etc are less busy and available which is good.

In summary - OK stay for the price but it wouldn't be my first option to go back to.

Great hotel with amenities far exceeding its room rate - but make sure you don’t book with the hotel dircpectly or you will pay double the online agency price. Super clean, modern even elegant public spaces and rooms. Super comfortable beds and bedding. Bathroom overflowing with amenities. Very good but limited buffet breakfast included. They are trying very hard to be a modern international hotel with global standards and generally succeeding at that. I recommend this hotel. Very very helpful front stafff and manager. The hotel is on a busy street (not so busy by Addis Abeba standards) but if you stay in upper floors that is not a problem. Free shuttle to and from airport is a bonus.
