Three words: service, hospitality, value.10/10 recommend this hotel. Clean rooms, breakfast buffet and airport shuttle with each stay, 24 hour room service-- great amenities, and incredibly courteous staff ready to help with anything. Located in a central business district that is safe and close to restaurants and cafes and less than 3 miles from the airport!

Overall, this is one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at. While it was quite busy during my visit—likely due to multiple meetings and events being held—it still managed to maintain good service. The breakfast buffet was definitely a highlight, offering a great variety and quality. However, the bar in the lobby lacked atmosphere; perhaps the location within the hotel doesn’t lend itself to a lively or inviting vibe.

The Elilly Hotel, conveniently located for exploring the sights of Addis Ababa and just a short walk from Meskel Square, has provided a remarkable experience. The staff have been incredibly welcoming; from the reception team to the pool attendant and the restaurant crew on the mezzanine floor, everyone was not just friendly but genuinely eager to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Their efforts greatly contributed to my happiness throughout my visit. My room was consistently spotless, a testament to their attention to detail. The culinary experiences were exceptional, each meal adding a delightful dimension to my stay. Special accolades to the ladies in the lobby area, who served coffee and managed the gift shop with a warmth and friendliness that brightened each day. I felt completely secure within the hotel and its vicinity, a reassurance for any traveler. Overall, the Elilly Hotel has not only met but exceeded my expectations, significantly enriching my Ethiopian journey.

Solid 4* hotel near UN Compound

Only complaint was about the airport transfers. Very disorganised. Exoected them to meet ne on arrival but some intermediary rang them abd tgey eventually came about 90 nins late. Not great at 2 am. Akso booked the return a day in advance but the guy wasn't ready. Even though it is free you would hope for a bit better organization m.

The room rug very dirty, bathroom not clean, window drips is not properly hug (for all this I have video) my daughter bitten by badbug or any other type of insect under her eye and checks where swallow ( I have pictures for that. Our money went missing

The hotel is pretty, in a good spot in the city, the staff is friendly, however our second day there my boyfriend and I went out to eat and when we came back, our room had been cleaned and a bunch of our money went missing. We talked to the manager he was really friendly and he said he would start an investigation, but our issue was never resolved and we lost all that money.

An hotel to stay in

I really enjoyed the stay in that Elilly Hotel. The people were really friendly and very helpful starting from the security at the entrance, through the reception, the waiters in the restaurants, the house-keeping and the Spa. The stay in the lobby after check-out was so comfortable so that I did not realize the long waiting till 08:30 p.m before leaving the hotel to the airport. The Elilly Hotel is a place to be. -:)

Everything was great!....except for the carpets not clean enough.
The rooms are really good; comfortable bed, flat screen tv, balcony, clean bathroom. I would highly recommend it.

Elilly hotel in Addis Ababa

If your business is with the UN office in Addis Ababa, then the location of this hotel is excellent as it is practically just one block away from the gate of the UN office. The hotel itself looks old, even though it is supposed to be relatively new. But the vibe is not so good for me because I prefer a modern feel in hotels where I want to stay. I don't think this should be a five-star hotel; it is more like 3-star

Great hotel in the same general area as the Sheraton and Hilton at half the cost. They also have a great deal if you have (like most do) a midnight flight out of half price to stay until 9 pm. Good breakfast, very nice, efficient, friendly staff. Great pool and sauna.

The hotel is one of the best in Addis

The hotel is one of the best in Addis. The breakfast and restaurant is quite good in comparison to other hotels. The gym does not have many machines, but it is ok. The sauna is nice, but one day it is closed for maintenance. There was a small leakage in my room.

Convenient for UN meeting

Rooms were clean and has all necessary features. Great water pressure in the smaller room with a stand alone shower with hot water. The service in the lobby was not great when it was busy. I think there was only one person on staff that was a bit overwhelmed. The restaurant and breakfast had excellent options with nice croissants and coffee.

I had a nice experience at this hotel. Nice rooms and very good service. Only down side is that they don't allow outside food and drinks. This is not good because I stayed for 3 weeks and it is not expected to only eat and drink at the hotel.

Excellent hotel with great pool and gym

The room was lovely but could stand to be a bit brighter...the view was horrible ...construction site. However, the pool is amazing and so is the sauna. I was a bit annoyed when one waiter who brought my room service expected to keep the change without allowing me to give him a tip. I felt that was rude. The hotel was very generous in letting me have a late check out. Overall, highly recommend.

Friendly staff but hotel is not 5 star

The staff here make the difference as they try very hard to help. The problem is with the state of the hotel. It is very worn and the carpets are not clean and the rest is acceptable. There is no ventilation in the rooms, so no air conditioning although you can ask for a fan. There are also bugs. Both my colleague and I were bit by mosquitoes multiple times with rooms on different floors. They changed my room and the other was okay. This is totally unacceptable, when you can't sleep because of bugs.
The restaurant and breakfast are good.

Nice hotel, but a bit overpriced

Staff were welcoming and helpful but location was surrounded by building site, roads and nearby buildings were in poor condition. Hotel WIFI was good but shop on site had limited stock, no pharmacutical items for example.

I don't understand how it's possible that this hotel is a 5-star hotel. The room is embarrassing to say the least: dated and poorly maintained furniture, power outlets dangerously not adhering to the wall, unstable shower tray, broken shower cabin doors, a single towel, still the gel shower with very uncomfortable bags. Only appearance: a nice lobby and nothing else. 2-3 star hotel at most
