Hotel is ok, nice but service is terrible. I have been using hotel shuttle to go to and from work - it took them a while to respond and their 5 minutes many times happened to be even up to 35 mintues of waiting for a pickup. Price for shuttle transfer depends on who is working?! I found out on the final bill and asked at reception where response was - sorry sir, you already paid, if you would tell us before we would fix that?!
Room service took 45 minutes and brought wrong order, restaurant food very very low quality and hotel prices very high in comparison to restaurants in the city.
Definitely not worth to stay here, you have better choice.

The hotel's prime location and clean rooms were definite highlights. Most staff members were friendly and welcoming. However, our experience was soured by a security guard's unnecessarily harsh behavior. When we attempted to take the elevator from the garage where our vehicle was parked, he became confrontational and insisted we use the main entrance. His tone was unprofessional, and the encounter felt strange and unwarranted.

While the manager's apology and resolution were appreciated, the guard's behavior left a lasting impression. With some customer service training for staff, this hotel could easily elevate its game. For now, it's a solid \"average\" – a good location and decent amenities, but inconsistent service.

I enjoyed my stay at the Radisson, and will certainly return when I return to Addis Ababa for work. In particular, I highly rate the restaurant/cafe/room service and the spa and gym. I returned to the spa three times in a short stay! Very professional service.

My only disappointment was around the shuttle service. First, my booking on Expedia very clearly states that it includes “free round trip shuttle” between the hotel and airport. After booking, and when I was booking the shuttle, I was told that it cost 700 ETB each way. I pointed out the contradiction with my booking, but accepted it since I was arriving late. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I waited 20-30 minutes in the cold next to the bus. When I finally got to the hotel, I definitely paid the front desk 800 ETB in cash. I believe that I received a receipt but didn’t keep it. So I was surprised to see the cost of the shuttle on my bill at the end of my stay. So I had to pay twice for a service that was supposed to be free.

Unfortunately, due to other challenges with the payment at the end of my stay, I missed the return shuttle. I was able to order a taxi through an app for 200 ETB. Definitely an option to consider next time.

Otherwise, I highly rate my stay and will return. I hope these issues can be addressed next time.

Our stay at the Radisson Blu was lovely.
Rooms are clean, crisp, comfortable and inviting. Everything we needed was provided. Housekeeping did a superb job with cleaning. The beds were comfortable and amenities needed were provided. The breakfast buffet was superb, one of the best of variety! All staff we interacted with - front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, spa - were helpful and friendly. Lastly, we felt safe at all times.

I really like the Radisson Blu. The staff is on the same page and offers excellent service. I think of people like Habteselassie and others who go above and beyond what is expected. [Sorry! I only remember his name and not the names of other staff.] This stay was my second in 2 months. I went because I had to speak for two different conferences that were held online. Reliable wifi was a must. And since my conferences were in the evening by East Africa Time, I stayed the night.
The massages, the food, the rooms, the ambience, the staff—all were great. I especially recommend Radisson Blu foe business trips.

Below expectation when compared to usual Radisson Blue hotels Should have chosen the Sheraton Addis Ababa, much much better.
This hotel has no pleasant public spaces, no garden. For is sub-par, to say the least (always when compared to what we can expect from this brand in other countries.

Everything was excellent. Breakfast was very healthy and with local materials. Executive lounge was wonderful too and didn't compromise on food quality which usually happens in some hotels. Due to limited land occupancy this hotel doesn't have its own gardent, but on the other hand it provides easy access from the street compared to Sheraton and Marriott in Addis. The front desk let us check out the evening in before so the next morning we just left the keys and caught the early flight, something not possible in every hotel.

The location was central and the rooms clean and good size, with added bonus of a lot of English Language TV, which helped on a Sunday Evening as there was much else open/to do.
The tourist desk was relatively useless, I encountered 4 different staff and only 1 was any use. Starting with asking what there was to do on arrival the answer was the hotel restaurant, to being told Addis was to dangerous, no city maps available. 1 lady was good and she was able to set us straight and let us go immerse ourselves in the city

They, in comments, say the property is centrally located, yet it is located right across the slums... Well you see lots and tons of them across whole Addis Ababa, so don't expect nice walking area around. Unless you regard good walking by number of strange people wishing to wash and even colour your shoes)) The guy asked for $4 and after short negotiations it turned to $0.4. Well, as somewhere in other comments, the personnel, to me, is really live and attentive!! When occasional fault of concierge absence happened, I talked to Man in reception saying I would visit football that day and he personally suggested to go together!! And that was actually fun and proof of commitment!!))

Modern hotel suitable for business and leisure travellers alike. Very modern hotel with large rooms (and beds).

Breakfast 10/10 very good choice of fresh fruit , cereals, cooked dishes, fresh juices, hand made omelettes and waffles, etc. Rooms 8/10 spacious and clean with large beds and a good bathroom. Gym 7/10 small but functional with modern equipment and machines. Based in Casenches (like a lot of the international hotels) so limited choice within walking distance; however the buffet in the evening has a lot of selection so you can happily eat in without having to venture out.

I had a very nice two-day trip. The room was perfect: big and spacious but also comfortable and with a nice bathroom as well, and the staff were extremely helpful. I would have liked to have a swim but the hotel doesn’t have a pool which is a shame, but this is a very good place to stay if you are ever visiting Addis Ababa.

This is my fifth stay and I have enjoyed it every time. The service is top notch, the in-room dining service is professional, the food is good, check-in and check-out is quick and easy, the room is very comfortable especially the bed, and the staff are friendly and resourceful. I also used the hotel driving service which cost 300 Birr per hour which I found reasonable and professional. I recommend this hotel to anyone who desires comfort and value for money. I didn't have time to use the spa this time round but the 3 other times I've used it, it was amazing.

Great place for to stay, nice neighborhood.

The hotel is really nice, commensurate with the price of course. Service is great except for one time I had to ask for service at the outside bar/café twice as no one was coming to wait on us. The shuttle to/from the airport is not free, so expect to pay for it. Other than that, I think the food is great, and the hotel is beautiful, nicely appointed, and with very nice and courteous staff. I also appreciate that they accommodate smokers and non smokers, but one wouldn't know it because there are no stale tobacco smells. And this hotel has the best WiFi I've experienced in Addis.

Generally, by Addis standards this is definitely one of the 2-3 best hotels in the city. The food however has taken a very noticeable drop in quality, selection, and preparation. Too bad because it used to be the best in the city. The security card readers in the elevators need to be replaced as they are extremely frustrating to use -- if management have not noticed they have not been in the elevators with any guests who can be seen constantly rolling their eyes in frustration that such a simple thing works so poorly.
