Beautiful place, it has two pools and one of it has an amazing view of La piedra del Peñol and the reservoir. The staff was so kind. Breakfast is buffet and food was delicious. The hotel is close to the town and piedra del Peñol.

We booked the Panoramic Room, & honestly, it was a pretty good experience. Besides the fact that it’s basically an open-air room & lets all the bugs in because of all the cracks in the walls, we got a pretty good sleep & did not get bit by mosquitos at all even though there were many around.
This had us worried at first & they need to fix that.

I do not understand why they can’t just seal the place up in the cracks between the glass, or at least have a mosquito net around the bed, but other than this issue, the whole experience was great & the room had a great view, was beautiful, spacious, the jacuzzi was great, & we had no other problems. The staff can be a little more friendly & welcoming but this hotel was good & I would stay here again. Maybe just not the outdoor panoramic room, a different one.

I was over charged upon arrival over 700.000 Colombian pesos, the bed room was dirty not to the standard of a premium room like it was supposed to be. For the money we paid we could have stayed in a modest and cleaner hotel in Guatape. The staff was very nice and helpful and agreed with what I expressed but were hands tight. Food at the restaurant was also good.

We went Jet ski with a group of 10 people which we paid in total an amount of around $800 USD.
When I was jet skiing one of the plastic bumpers of the jet ski fell off and I picked it up and honestly told the one in charge.

They immediately told me that I must pay and was not interested in how it happened. The bumper was not secured well and maybe was already damaged or loose from previous activities. front desks charge me 100usd for something that cost less than 10 $ USD to fix.

Watch out!! they will do anything to scam you, and the check in procedure is verry slow!
No AC/ they charge you for stuff you did not consume!
We booked the Jet skis in advance, and they did not reserve them and gave them to other people, we had to do it the next day.

Doors are cheap and my daughter’s mattress is hard, my mother got stuck in the bathroom.
Another family member’s door was not working.

Los hospede ahy a mis tios ... una pareja de casados mi tio ingenieri y mi tia retirada les facinooo quedaron encantados me dijeron que tenia que ir alla y quedarme en ese hotel que es una maravilla y me dijeron que las camas comodisimas la ubicacion excelente el servicio A 1 sincerqmente me siento feliz y algun dia concere guatape y las instalaciones del hotel me dijeron que en limpiezaaa era exteemedamente limpio y la vista tuvieron una vista hermosaaaaa lo recomiendo el lugar .

Amazing hotel.

One of the most breathtaking views you’ll ever have in your life. Very clean, very beautiful hotel. The staff is very friendly would recommend the all-inclusive package that food is included with everything is in driving distance with a little tuck tuck that they offer. They take credit card for almost everything.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Los Recuerdos for two nights. We had paid for the full board which by most definition is all meals. It was only breakfast. The food offered was not to an American pallet. no flame under the chaffing dishes so everything was cold. At check in I was told that I did not pay through Hotels.com I was not in a position to argue, being in Colombia and papers still in my suitcase, so I paid more than I agreed to with Hotels.com. Back at my room I check my paperwork and I had indeed paid. contacting the desk they sent a clerk to refund. Upon checkout the claimed I owed another $100. I disputed. and won. Life should not be that diffacult

The hotel was located walking distance from the Piedra El Peñol and a very short tuk tuk ride to the town center. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean and the multiple pools and facilities are fantastic. The restaurant food is also very good. The hotel is nonetheless located right on the main road and right next to a heliport and there is so much noise all day! We had trouble sleeping at night from all the cars driving by and honking (customary in Colombia) and were woken up before dawn by huge trucks and during the day helicopters loudly flew over our heads. While this hotel ticks off all the boxes of a fantastic stay, I would not recommend it for light sleepers due to the level of constant noise day and night. We unfortunately would also not return as our young boys and us left exhausted from the lack of sleep. Thank you though to the wonderful staff for their assistance in making us feel welcomed and taken care of - the location is unfortunately their biggest downfall.

I would have liked..an electric coffee machine were available.The included breakfast was very good..and the waitress were very good.

I had chosen this property for the view and the jacuzzi on the balcony. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the jacuzzi because of mosquitos at night. Service was terrible. Hotel charges more than 5000 Columbian pesos for service in the suite. There was not even a bottle of water to welcome us. Everything is for sale. The next day, I wanted to iron my clothes but there was none in the suite. I called for one, it was never delivered. I went to the front desk and complained about it. Still nothing was done. I wore crumpled clothes to go out for dinner and travel. I felt humiliated. I left the hotel early on August 12 without eating breakfast because I was frustrated. I left my country, spent thousands of dollars to take my fiancée on a trip that we expected to be a great moment for the two of us. Instead, we were frustrated and did not enjoy our stay. The management of this hotel does not care about guest satisfaction; the staff lacks professionalism and lack knowledge about customer service 101. I will never stay at this hotel, and I will share my unpleasant experience with staff, friends, and others online to ascertain that whoever visits Guatapé does not stay in this hotel. I understand that business survives on profits but when greed prevails on customer satisfaction and service is terrible, there is a price to pay. Expedia also must be sued for doing business with this type of hotel. Nothing is done to ascertain that international standards are respected. I intend to sue.

We were a large group of 19 traveling together. We’re 5 siblings traveling with our own family and all Colombians. We had a beautiful time at this hotel. Nicely located and convenient to get to town on tuk-tuk, most fun way to travel short distances. There were two pools and a revolving bar. Keep in mind all facilities are not open and are in scheduled times. The staff was amazing and responsive. Hard working people and so pleasant. We stayed in a beautiful room with a grand view of the lake and El Peñol with a hot tub on the balcony, zen-like! The breakfast was buffet style with local choices to choose from. The lunch and dinner served was good, nothing stood out. The hotel is not luxurious but is comfortable and scenic. Very peaceful and a great way to spend 3 nights of our 16-day itinerary in Guatape.

It is a beautiful place to stay, just at night was a big storm and we was on floor 5, so water start to going out from the ceiling lamp, was trying to contact somebody at reception and was nobody to report, so we did not sleet that night at all because was like a fountain in our room and my cloth was all wet. Natali in reception was a very nice person, we report to her next day. /but they should have somebody at night for this kind of problems.

Reception may have someone who seems unhappy to be working there, the rest seemed to be helpful and at least put on a smile. The property is nice, good for families. *CAUTION THE POOL AREA-MOSTLY FOR LITTLE KIDS, DO NOT HAVE THEM RUNNING, THOSE FLOORS BY THE POOL AREA VERY SLIPPERY IF WALKING WITH WET FEET** (My kid slipped and hit his head, thankfully nothing bad happened).. other than that the property is probably the best with accomodations being close to the town and the rock. Would stay here again.
